This research is triggered by the learning process that is still yet to direct the active role of students learning. Based on the result of observation that the teacher is more dominant in the activity of learning than the students due to the students were lack of understanding towards the subject matter resulted in the lack of activeness of students in the classroom.  Based on the background study, it is needed to apply a method of learning that is able to enhance students’ activity and improving the score. One of them by applied the guided discovery learning method. The goal of this research is to know the learning outcomes improvement of the students when using guided discovery learning method on operated Electromagnetic Control System and Operation course in SMK Muhammadiyah Padang. The type of this research is quasi-experimental with one group pre-test post-test design. The population of this research was second year student of group one that registered at 2015/2016 academic year which 26 person of students. The instruments of research was objective tests that has been conducted a test of the validity, reliability, the difficulty level and the different index level. The data were analyzed by using gain score test. Based on the result, the students who achieve value of minimum completeness criteria (MCC) before using the guided discovery learning method was 7,7%. While the students who achieve minimum completeness criteria after using guided discovery learning method was 87,46%. Based on gained score test, the score of the students were increase in Middle Category. So, the implementation of guided discovery learning method can improve student learning outcomes on Electromagnetic Control System and Operation courses.

Guided Discovery Learning is a learning model that is considered capable of improving student learning outcomes while Self-efficacy is self-confidence in an individual’s abilities. This study aims to determine the effect of guided discovery learning model and self-efficacy towards student learning outcomes in biology class. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental. This study has a sample of 200 students from 256 students. The technique used is Cluster random sampling. The instruments used are multiple choices and questionnaire. Data from the three variables are analysed using the Two-Way ANOVA Test and the Tukey Test, at a significance level of 0.005. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that Guided Discovery Learning model and an individual’s self-efficacy can improve student learning outcomes. Both Guided Discovery Learning model and self-efficacy can improve student learning outcomes and have positive interactions between the two variables. The implications of this study are as a basis for increasing the use of learning models using technology, and teachers as educators are able to encourage students to improve self-efficacy.

This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which was conducted in two research cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II. The research subjects were students of class XI MIPA-3 SMAN 2 Jember, totaling 36 students, consisting of 17 male students and 19 female students. Data collection techniques in this study used observation for the implementation of the learning process and tests to determine student learning outcomes. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the application of discovery learning can improve student learning outcomes regarding the properties of salt solutions. In the first cycle the percentage of student learning completeness was 58.33% (21 students) and increased in the second cycle, the percentage of student learning mastery was 88.88% (32 students). There was a significant increase from cycle I to cycle II, namely 30.50%. The aim of this research to analyze the essence of Junior high student learning outcomes Darul Arafah is still relatively low it is seen that the value of the student learning outcomes that achieve minimum completeness criteria (KKM) is still much below the passing standard, so it is still far from what is expected. From the analysis it can be concluded as follows: 1) There is a noticeable difference the average student learning outcomes are taught using methods of collaborative learning with an average of the learning outcomes of students who are taught with methods of discovery learning on the subject of integers students in grade 7 SMP Darul Arafah Sukajawa the school 2015/2016. 2) The average results learning collaborative learning method is lower than the average student learning outcomes are taught using methods of discovery learning on the subject of integers grade students grade 7 SMP Darul Arafah Sukajawa the school 2015/2016. Kata Kunci : collaborative learning, discovery learning method, study result,

This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is divided into 3 stages, namely general ideas, exploration, and action plans. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes. In the pretest, it was found that the average value was 50.93 and the classical completeness level was 27%. In the first cycle there was an increase after using the Discovery Learning model with an average value of 61.13 and a classical completeness level of 43%. And after the actions taken and given posttest cycle II, 25 students who completed their study results and 5 students who did not complete the posttest with the average value of the second cycle posttest increased to 83.3 and the classical completeness level reached 83%. From the results obtained, it is concluded that the Discovery Learning model can improve the learning outcomes of third grade students at SD Negeri 104186 Tanjung Selamat, Sunggal District, for the 2020/2021 academic year. Based on the results of the study, teachers are advised to use the Discovery Learning model because it is proven to improve student learning outcomes.

Kata kunci: Discovery Learning, Hasil Belajar dan Pendidikan Matematika   ABSTRACT   This class action research was carried out because of the low student learning outcomes of the X MM class of SMK N I Merbau in Mathematics subjects. Based on the fact that the low student learning outcomes, the authors conducted a class action research with a view to improving student learning outcomes. This research was conducted with colleagues using the discovery learning model in learning which was carried out in cycle I, cycle II, to improve student learning outcomes in 10 MM grade students of SMK N 1 Merbau Mataram.    The plan to improve learning through this research turned out to be using cooperative learning models to improve student learning outcomes. From the results of the evaluation can be seen an increase in the percentage of student learning outcomes that can achieve KKM with the acquisition of the percentage results in prasiklus 53%, 69% in the first cycle, and in the second cycle increased to 89%. Thus the authors feel the need to master and use various learning models in every learning activity in the School.   Keywords: Discovery Learning, Learning Outcomea and Mathematics Educatioan
