The increasing awareness towards economic development, changing social environment changing culture and modern civilization has affected various sectors of the world. Indian society is not an exception too. Women have proved their importance by accepting challenges in various work-areas. Today, women have achieved success in various economic and social work- areas and have proved that women can form a new culture, away from the traditional one. This research paper discuss some of the major problems which influence the growth of women entrepreneur units in Ujjain. For analytical purpose Legal and Social problems/ obstacles/ barrier of women entrepreneur are taken into accounts.

Growth has both financial and social dimensions and is partial without the improvement of women who constitute about fifty percent of the general populace. It miles a general notion that women as a mother, wife, daughter, daughter-in-law and as many more characters in their life have to bear numerous responsibilities of their families. Women have broken four walls around them build by their family members and society and enter into a new world where they have their own identity. Now women have started taking part in the construction of the new world, having more potential, possibilities and opportunities. Strengthening women entrepreneurs is an essence of achieving the non-stop and sustainable economic improvement of the country. By the time, the world comprehended that growth of any economy cannot reach its par without the energetic participation of the women in shaping the state. Women entrepreneurs face social, financial, organizational, mental and diverse other issues whilst running their venture. Aside from all the restrains, Indian women move onward and are cherished for their achievements of their respective area. The objective of this paper is to become aware of the problems and difficulties that women face in the direction of their entrepreneurship.

<p>Modernization of Chinese society witnessed significant retreat of primary and growth of secondary and tertiary industries. The result of rapid urbanization has been accompanied with rapid rural depopulation, context of which is currently labeled by intertwining of many correlation factors. Rural depopulation can be perceived as a social problem and as a reason or other social problems, affecting sustainable socio-economic development. Purpose The purpose of this paper is to report on a systematic review that examined police social work and social service collaboration strategies implemented to address social problems. Design/methodology/approach A systematic review was conducted to identify the components of police social work and social service collaboration strategies. A total of 11 databases were searched. The inclusion criteria centered on the social problem, focus population, service providers, collaboration components and geographic location. Any methodological approach was included provided that a collaboration between police and social service providers focused on addressing a social problem was implemented and described. Findings The database searches identified 3,065 hits. After first eliminating duplicate titles, then reviewing and eliminating titles and abstracts that did not met the inclusion criteria, 119 full-text studies were reviewed. Among the 81 studies included in the systematic review, 83 implemented collaborations were found. The most collaborations were implemented in the USA, whereas only one implemented collaboration was found among the majority of the countries. Interpersonal violence was the most frequent social problem addressed by the collaborations followed by mental illness, crime, juvenile delinquency, and alcohol and substance use and abuse. Interventions were predominantly delivered by social workers who provided referrals and collaboration with social service agencies that assisted adults. Practical implications Given that police officers are first responders to a wide range of social problems, investigating and disseminating information about the characteristics of police social service collaboration strategies is an important endeavor. Whereas investigating the effectiveness of collaborations was not the aim of this review, several practical implications can be derived from the findings. These findings show the types of social problems, partners and tasks that comprise the collaborations. The present findings suggest that law enforcement agencies do not have accessible name brand social work and social service collaboration models that can be replicated. The majority of the collaborations found appear to be unique models implemented between law enforcement and social service agencies. More outcome studies are needed that investigate whether the social problem has improved among citizens that received services from the collaboration. Originality/value This paper is the first systematic review focused on police social work and social service collaboration strategies implemented to address social problems.

Purpose The contribution of women entrepreneurs is still invisible and needs to be properly investigated. The purpose of this paper is to investigate this relationship by measuring women entrepreneurship and economic development at global level. Design/methodology/approach Secondary data has been retrieved from Female Entrepreneurship Index Report 2015, Human Development Report 2015 and KOF Index of Globalization 2015. Cross-sectional data is used from 69 countries of the world. Multiple regression is applied to estimate the data. Findings The results explained the significant impact of women entrepreneurship on the economies of the world. It was observed that women participation in entrepreneurial activities not only supports to their family income but also plays a significant role in economic development and social well-being of the society. Research limitations/implications There is no information about total output of women entrepreneurs in terms of new enterprises setups and established businesses of women except for year 2015. So, to measure the real contribution of women entrepreneurs around the globe is still a challenge. Practical implications It is reality that when women would be empowered as entrepreneurs then whole society gets benefits from it, as women entrepreneurs are beneficial for not only economic development but also social development of society. Originality/value This study uniquely addresses the contribution of women entrepreneurs in the world economy which is still an unseen but a powerful benefactor of development.

Abstract The Animals and Society Institute facilitates an annual interdisciplinary meeting of emerging scholars from around the world, encouraging attendees to interrogate what it means to be a scholar, with an emphasis on animal studies within our respective disciplines. In that vein, we assess what it means to be an emerging animal-studies scholar in three interconnected but distinct academic disciplines: anthropology, sociology, and social work. We elaborate on three dominant themes: (1) the place of animals or the “animal turn”; (2) our subjectivity and how we find unorthodox networks or what Donna Haraway refers to as our “oddkin”; (3) and our inherent roles as interdisciplinary scholars and the liminal positions we occupy, as we address complex social problems like climate change. By reflecting on how we have encountered barriers and overly strict binaries collectively and as individuals, we can begin to deconstruct these obstacles and create opportunities.

India happens to be the third largest startup ecosystem in the world, in spite of this only 9% of startup founders are women (Source: Forbes article). The statement is enough to stir thoughts regarding the state of women owned business in the country. Considering the gender prejudice prevalent in our society it is important that the challenges and problems of women owned business are paid its due attention. This descriptive study highlights the work contributing to the various aspects of state of women entrepreneurship and lists the various challenges faced by a women entrepreneur at various levels. Further the study suggests constructive suggestion to deal with the stated problems and challenges and promote women participation in Indian entrepreneurial system

The paper deals with the trends in the world and Russian economies towards development of a new post-crisis system, including technological and structural transformation. Three main scenarios of Russian economic development (conservative, innovation and acceleration) are discussed basing on historical analysis of Russian economic performance since 1970-s when oil boom started. On this basis key challenges of economic policy in 2013 are discussed.
