Tourism plays a major role in social development of a place. Developing a location for tourism not only brings in more tourists but also has several inter related advantages. There are several problems and possibilities faced during the development of tourism in a place. Developing a location for tourism brings in more tourists. Since the tourists rate increase, food and accommodation for tourists has to be provided. The hotels and lodges are opened for the tourists through whom revenue can be generated. Moreover transport facilities for that place increases, which paves way for the place to become a perfect holiday destination. Once it gets identified as a tourist spot, the government takes efforts to make it environmental friendly and the tourist rates increase rapidly. The major factor which is required to be considered is because of the opening of hotels and lodges, more job opportunities are created for the people and local community people have an extended advantage of being the tour guide of the destination. This research paper focuses on the major tourist destination Mahabalipuram also called as Mahabalipuram located right on the coramandel coast very next to Bay of Bengal in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. During the Pallava dynasty in the 7th and 10th centuries, it was a well-known sea port and also has several arts, architectures, rock cut caves etc. The researcher feels that Mahabalipuram has seen a quick development socially as Tourism & handicraft industry provides several job opportunities to the people. Even the opening of several beach resorts and hotels increased the transport facilities and tourist rates. The researcher is undertaking a qualitative analysis by taking in depth interviews using questionnaires from the local community and workers there to know about the role of tourism in social development.

This chapter reviews research on populism by describing the role of discourse in articulating a “we” as an empty signifier. The emergence of “gender-ideology” discourse is presented as key to contemporary forms of exclusionary populism, as demonstrated in a case study of Hungary’s recent modification of the national register to prevent transgender individuals from retroactively changing their “sex at birth” status. The chapter argues that the discrediting of gender as an ideology mobilizes not only exclusionary right-wing populism but also feminisms asserting binary distinctions of a biologized sex and gender. While the government defends “us, the Hungarian people” against a “gender” that is not material but pure propaganda, self-identified progressive feminists dismiss trans-politics for focusing on identity instead of political economy. Both groups thus use “gender ideology” to mobilize an exclusionary rhetoric of hate. The chapter proposes that “us, the people” may instead be used to motivate a radical left populism organized around a “feminist people” of flexible inclusivity.

In this study, the concept of ecotourism serves as the framework for the investigation of black-faced spoonbill tourism and conservation strategies implemented in Shifen, a community in the Chi-Gu District of Tainan City. It featured an examination of the formulation, planning, and implementation of the conservation strategies and conducted in-depth interviews on individuals from the public sector, local residents, tourists, and nongovernment organizations. Research results identified numerous problems: latent concerns regarding black-faced spoonbills as a tourism resource, poor awareness of ecotourism, difficulties in implementing black-faced spoonbill tourism and conservation strategies, and difficulty maintaining a balance between conservation and residents’ livelihoods. The government is advised to integrate the opinions and suggestions of local residents, promote community participation, and increase job opportunities for local residents to create a win-win model for the development of community-based ecotourism.

Research in entrepreneurship and learning has focused on education about, for and within enterprises. The purpose of this article is to analyse and discuss the importance of organizing for entrepreneurial learning. The research design included a case study of a newly established 1-year programme at a university in Sweden. Data were collected through participant observations and interviews with students, both in groups and individually. The study shows that organizing entrepreneurial learning involves a similar method to that used in entrepreneurial processes in companies with a focus on process, people and place. The contribution of the study is to confirm that Foley’s model with these three components is applicable in the context of entrepreneurial learning. The conclusion is that the process, the people and the place combined to create an environment for the students that was conducive to entrepreneurial learning. The people are the most important factor and should also be considered with regard to process and place. In order to establish a creative environment, organizers should consider the importance of students’ collaboration with stakeholders in the region, through which they can contribute to the development of the community. Students contribute to the local community through their interaction with it.

Sade is known as the traditional village of the Sasak tribe, which until now still maintains its authenticity. Farming is the main source of livelihood for the sade community. In addition, they also have handicraft products in the form of weaving produced by sade women, who since childhood (age 9 years) have been required to learn to weave, and this rule was made so that women in Sade could live independently without depending on men. However, in terms of tourism, women are not really involved, even though women should take an important role in developing a tourist village, for example, in the pokdarwis membership there are absolutely no women, because according to them men should take all roles, while for women only take care of family and sell weaving products. Women are the most important resource that should be used properly in community development activities, especially for sade communities. However, the reality is that women have a domestic role that cannot be separated from other roles in their lives. This makes women unable to focus solely on their public roles. In this case, a dilemma occurs in society regarding the position of women in community activities, especially in community development programs through the tourism village program. Therefore, it is necessary to study what the roles of Sade women are in developing the Sade tourism village. Then to collect data used qualitative observation, in-depth interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The data was obtained through purposive sampling for sade communities, especially traditional leaders, community leaders, and religious leaders. and sade girls. The results of this research are that the potential that exists in the community should be used for tourism development, but in fact tourism in Sade hamlet cannot develop properly, even education is still low, even though it is the main key because of high education. will have an impact on progress. To be able to improve the welfare of the community through tourism villages, it is necessary to have the participation of sade women to develop sade tourism by participating in training or counseling related to tourism, and of course with the hope that the Sade tourism village can develop more advanced and can attract both local and foreign tourist visits. Therefore, cooperation between the government and the local community is needed for the development of a tourist village
