This study aimed to describe (1) type adjectives in Minangkabau language in kenagarian Sungai Abang subdistrict Lubuk Alung district Padang Pariaman, and (2) the process of forming adjective in Minangkabau language in kenagarian Sungai Abang subdistric Lubuk Alung district Padang Pariaman. This type of research is qualitative research with descriptive method. The method of data collection was using the method of referring and recording technique. Analyzing the data was done in the form of activities as follows: (1) describes the recording data into written language, (2) identify the data in accordance with the format provided, (3) classify the data into the type and process of the formation of the adjective, and (4) do data deduction based on research result. The data of this research are sentence containing the adjectives expressed by the community in kenagarian Sungai Abang subdistrict Lubuk Alung district Padang Pariaman. The source of this research is Minangkabau language especially oral language of society in kenagarian Sungai Abang subdistrict Lubuk Alung district Padang Pariaman. Based on the results of the research obtained the following results, first adjectives in Minangkabau language in kenagarian Sungai Abang subdistrict Lubuk Alung district Padang Pariaman is as follows: (1) characteristic adjective (character or temperament), (2) color adjectives, (3) shape adjectives, (4) size adjectives, (5) sensory adjectives, (6) time adjectives, (7) distance adjectives, (8) speed adjectives, (9) power adjunctive adjectives, (10) adjectiva adjectives. Secondly, there are two adjunctive adjunctive processes in the Minangkabau language, which are basic adjectives and derivate adjectives that can be sorted on beraffixed adjectives, duplicated adjectives and compounded adjective adjectives. Keywords: Adjectives, Word-forming, Minangkabau Language

Balinese language is one of the regional languages in Indonesia that has a unique talk system, it is still alive and used as an instrument of communication of Balinese tribe so that it should be well maintained in order to still exist as a cultural vehicle of Bali. The Balinese language has anggah-ungguh kruna (level-word) that an important role in the formation of speech-level or anggah-ungguh basa Bali. This paper aims to describe the identification anggah-ungguh kruna (word level arrangement) which is the specific feature of speaking Balinese. This research is a qualitative research discuss with structuralism theory. Data collection was done by observation and interview method, assisted by recording technique. The collected data is processed by analytical descriptive method. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be described that anggah-ungguh kruna basa Bali include: (1) kruna nenten alus (kruna kasar, mider, and andap); (2) kruna alus, include: (kruna alus singgih, alus sor, alus mider, and alus madia).

Language is a tool to express an opinion or statement that will be conveyed to others. There are two types in language media, namely oral language and written language. One work that uses written language as a communication medium is a magazine. To write a magazine, you must use a language structure that is good and right or in accordance with the rules of language. But often times in a magazine there are still many mistakes, for example, in the 2018 edition of Pandawa magazine, there are errors in language spelling and at the syntactic level. Types of language errors at the spelling level include errors in letter usage, word writing, use of punctuation, and combination spelling. Types of language errors at the syntactic level include, discourse, sentences, clauses, and phrases. This study aims to describe language errors, especially at the spelling level and at the syntactic level. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative research, which describes the object of language errors in the 2018 edition of the Pandawa IAIN magazine. The techniques of data collection and data analysis are (1) collecting language errors, (2) identifying errors based on linguistic level (syntax, phonology, morphology, and spelling), (3) ranking errors, i.e. sorting errors based on the number of errors, (4) explaining conditions, explaining what is wrong, the cause of errors, and how to correct errors, (5) predicting linguistic level that is prone to errors, (6) correcting errors, namely correcting errors, finding the right way to reduce or eliminate these errors. The results of this study, namely errors in the spelling level in the Pandawa IAIN Surakarta magazine, there are capital letters writing errors, italics, punctuation marks, and hyphens; errors at the syntactic level in the Pandawa IAIN Surakarta magazine, there are mistakes in phrases, and sentences. Bahasa merupakan suatu alat untuk mengungkapkan sebuah pendapat atau pernyataan yang akan disampaikan kepada orang lain. Ada dua jenis dalam media bahasa, yaitu bahasa lisan dan bahasa tulis. Salah satu karya yang menggunakan bahasa tulis sebagai media komunikasi, yaitu majalah. Untuk menulis sebuah majalah, harus menggunakan tatanan bahasa yang baik dan benar atau sesuai dengan kaidah kebahasaan. Namun sering kali penulisan dalam sebuah majalah masih terdapat banyak kesalahan, misalnya terjadi dalam majalah Pandawa edisi 2018 yang terdapat kesalahan berbahasa dalam tataran ejaan dan sintaksis. Jenis kesalahan bahasa pada tataran ejaan meliputi kesalahan dalam pemakaian huruf, penulisan kata, pemakaian tanda baca, dan ejaan kombinasi. Pada jenis tataran sintaksis, yaitu meliputi wacana, kalimat, klausa, dan frase. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesalahan-kesalahan berbahasa, khususnya dalam tataran ejaan dan sintaksis. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif analisis, yaitu mendeskripsikan objek tentang kesalahan berbahasa dalam majalah Pandawa IAIN Surakarta edisi 2018. Teknik pengumpulan data dan analisis data, yaitu (1) mengumpulkan data kesalahan berbahasa, (2) mengidentifikasi kesalahan berdasarkan pada tataran kebahasaan (sintaksis, fonologi, morfologi, dan ejaan), (3) memeringkat kesalahan, yaitu mengurutkan kesalahan berdasarkan banyaknya kesalahan, (4) menjelaskan keadaan, yaitu menjelaskan apa yang salah, penyebab kesalahan, dan bagaimana perbaikan kesalahan,(5) memprediksi tataran kebahasaan yang rawan akan terjadinya kesalahan, (6) mengoreksi kesalahan, yaitu memperbaiki kesalahan, mencari cara yang tepat untuk mengurangi ataupun menghilangkan kesalahan tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini, yaitu kesalahan pada tataran ejaan dalam majalah Pandawa IAIN Surakarta, terdapat kesalahan penulisan huruf kapital, kata yang dicetak miring, tanda baca, dan tanda hubung; kesalahan pada tataran sintaksis dalam majalah Pandawa IAIN Surakarta, terdapat kesalahan frasa, dan kalimat.

An illocutionary act is a speech act that is usually identified by explicit performative sentences. The research on illocutionary acts in vlogs is an action that shows the meaning of speech during communication. This study aims to describe illocutionary acts on Fiersa Besari's vlog YouTube channel Jangan Lupa Senyum Part 1 along with its speech function. The method used in this research is the descriptive method. The form of research used here is qualitative research. The data source in this study is the vlog Jangan Lupa Senyum Part 1 on the Fiersa Besari YouTube channel. The data in this study are transcripts of conversations between characters in vlogs. Data collection techniques in research using the observation method and note-taking techniques. The findings in the research in this vlog were only 15 utterances of illocutionary speech acts. From the 15 utterances, 7 data on assertive illocutionary acts, 2 directive illocutionary acts, and 7 expressive illocutionary acts. From this research, it is expected that we can understand the function of illocutionary acts that are relevant to everyday life

This study aims to (1) describe the existential drama Oh, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug works of Putu Wijaya which include: (a) freedom, (b) anxiety, (c) the failure, (d) the futility, (e) death, (2) describe absurdism in drama  Ah, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug by Putu Wijaya which includes: (a) suicide philosophical, (b) the nature of the symbolic,  and  (c) of tragedy and comedy. This study focuses on (1) existentialism in the drama Oh, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug  by  Putu Wijaya which include: (a) freedom, (b) anxiety, (c) the failure, (d) the futility, (e) death and (2) absurdism in drama Ah, Edan, and Dag Dig Dug. This study is qualitative research, using descriptive qualitative research data collection. Descriptive method is a method which seeks to describe a phenomenon, the events that occurred at that time. In this study, descriptive method is used  to describe the concept of existentialism and absurdism. This research data  use  existantialism theory  and absurdism in playwrights  by PutuWijaya. By using the technique with  the  data source in the form of three plays, the relevant data collection technique is a technique read. Reading the drama text data collection activities conducted by member’s attention totally focused on the object. Reading and listening is a set of techniques to obtain valid data followed by activities recorded data. This study concluded five concepts of existentialism and three concepts of absurdism. The results showed that existentialism in the drama Oh, Edan, Dag Dig Dug by Putu Wijaya, looked  in terms of freedom, anxiety, failure, futility, and  death.  Three absurdism concepts  in drama Ah, Edan, Dag Dig Dug  by  Putu Wijaya looked through suicide philosophical, symbolic nature, tragedy and comedy.

This study describes the portrait of speech acts in the East Lampung religious harmony forum. The aim of this research is to know the portrait of the speech act in the activities of the Religious Harmony Forum (FKUB) in East Lampung. The type of this research is qualitative research that uses a pragmatic approach by applying descriptive qualitative methods. This method is used to describe speech events and speech acts based on the data that has been collected by the writer. To complete the data the writer uses listening technique method and proficient technique. From the two methods the writer uses several techniques, namely instruments, recording technique and writing technique. After extracting the data, the next step is processing and analyzing data by using the following steps; the first data transcript containing the speech act which is transcribed into written language. Second puts the results of the data into the data card. Third, the writer analysis the data based on several aspects that has done by the writer. Fourth, the classification of the data based on the type of speech events and speech acts. Based on the results of the research data analysis, it can be concluded that the speech acts used in the Forum of Religious Harmony are locution of speech acts, perlocution of speech acts, and illocution of speech acts which have four forms, namely 1) assertive (declaring, suggesting, reminding). 2) directive (rule, recommend). 3)  expressiveness (thanking, apologizing, condolence). 4) commissive (offering something).

Children and education are two related elements to each other. Both the central and local governments have also issued policies that govern the education of children. But in fact, education for the street children has been still faced with some obstacles during the implementation. This research was conducted in Padang Municipality. This research was the result of the field studies to describe and analyze how was the effort of the fulfillment of the education rights of the street children in Padang Municipality. The research was conducted using qualitative research method where data collection techniques by interviews with several related stakeholders to this policy, observed the phenomena that have related to the policy, and do library research from any references such as the government's document and scientific research and tested with by triangulation sources techniques. The research result shows that there are some difficulties during the fulfillment of street children's education to implement by the few stakeholders. In addition, the incapability of these polices to provided clarity to each process of the policy implementation so that the output of the policy has not been able to be reached to the maximum

Abstract The research aims to reveal and describe the existence of the Salapan dance in enagarian Air Bangis Kecamatan Sungai Beremas Kabupaten Pasaman Barat. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive method. This type of research uses primary and secondary data. The main instrument in this research is its own researchers and assisted with supporting instruments such as stationery and cameras. Data collection techniques are conducted by way of library studies, observations, interviews and documentation. The steps for analyzing data are data collection, classifying data, analyzing data, interpreting data and making conclusions. The results showed that the existence of the Salapan dance in the middle of society is no longer exist because this dance is rarely displayed and there is no workshop to defend this dance. The choreographers of the Salapan dance creations have also eliminated the meaning of the tradition of dance by changing the movements and properties of the dance itself. The Salapan dance is no longer displayed at events held by local communities such as weddings, but the Salapan dance is only shown more frequently at the request of Tourism office in West Pasaman and competition events. Keyword: existence of dance Salapan

AbstractThis article aims to describe the implementation of learning art and culture (contemporary music) class XII of MIPA 2 SMA Negeri 1 Sawahlunto. This type of research is qualitative research using descriptive method. The main instrument in this study is the researchers themselves and assisted with assisted with observation, interviews, and documentation and study of the literature. The technique of data collection is done by way of observation, interview, documentation and study of the literature. Techniques in analyzing the data is carried out by means of the data processing directly after the field. The results showed that teachers design a simpler contemporary music learning to teach in order to be digested by students given that the study of contemporary music is not a little. In the performance of contemporary music learning, learning that implemented teacher different to what has been written into the draft implementation of learning (RPP). Still found some weaknesses against the methods and strategies that teachers use against learning. Teachers should increase the motivation of students to more focused in the art and cultural learning by doing approach individuals and groups. Facilities and infrastructure provided the school is still minimal, resulting in learning not to be implemented properly.Keywords: implementation and study of art and culture
