Scientific attitude is a collection of several important aspects that describe the interaction of each student. This study aims to study the quality of scientific attitudes carried out by students when carrying out practical learning in Natural Sciences-Biology Class VIII SMPN 34 Padang. The aspects of scientific thought discussed include: 1) curiosity, 2) respect for data, 3) critical thinking, 4) discovery and creativity, 5) open thinking and working together, 6) perseverance, and 7) sensitive to Surrounding environment. This type of research is a descriptive study, with a total of 280 students and a sample of 108 students consisting of 9 classes. Sampling using Proportional Cluster Random Sampling technique by taking ± 40% of the total population. Data collection using questionnaires and observation sheets. Data analysis was performed quantitatively with the percentage analysis method. From this study obtained research on scientific quality assessment on every aspect of the aspect curiosity has good criteria, aspects of respect for data that have adequate criteria, critical aspects of thinking have sufficient criteria, aspects of discovery and considerations that have good quality, aspects of open thinking and working together have good criteria, perseverance aspects have good criteria, and aspects that are sensitive to the environment have criteria. So, the quality of scientific thinking of students in the implementation of science-biology learners.

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ketepatan siswa dalam memilih warna dan komposisi yang sesuai pada karya sulam teknik sulam bebas dengan motif flora dan fauna. Adapun populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII-7 SMP Negeri 16 Medan dengan sampel 3 karya siswa dengan teknik Cluster Random Sampling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan mendeskripsikan karya sulam yang diteliti dan dinilai berdasarkan unsur seni rupa yang telah ditentukan yaitu warna dan komposisi. Secara keseluruhan kemampuan siswa SMP Negeri 16 medan dalam praktik menyulam dikatakan Cukup Baik. Siswa sudah memiliki kemampuan dalam menyatukan  motif-motif  yang  akan disulam  dan   hasil sulamnya pun rata-rata sudah  mendekati kategori cukup.Kata Kunci: sulam, warna, komposisi.AbstractThis study aims to determine the accuracy of students in choosing the right color and composition in the embroidery work of free embroidery work of free embroidery techniques with flora and fauna motifs. As for the population used in this study were all students of class VIII-7 junior high school 16 terrain with a sample of 3 students’ work using a random sampling technique. The research method used is descriptive qualitative by describing the work of embroidery that is examined and assessed based on predetermined fine art elements, namely color and composition. As a whole the ability of 16 field students in the field of embroidery is said to be quite good. Students already have the ability to unify the motif to be embroidered and results of embroidery are on average already close to the sufficient category. Keywords: embroidery, color, composition.

The use of technology in the process of learning activities can create a new atmosphere in biology learning, namely direct learning and learning using quipper school online. Learning like this is known as blended learning. The class used for the study was taken through cluster random sampling technique namely X MIPA 2 (experimental class) which implements blended learning and X MIPA 3 (control class) which implements a scientific approach. The implementation of blended learning on the topic of ecology is expected to be effective towards understanding concepts. Blended learning is effective on understanding concepts in ecological discussion because they fulfill three indicators, namely: (1) the average posttest of the experimental class 74.95> the mean posttest of the control class is 64.98, (2) The value of understanding the concepts to the two classes shows a significant difference with the values significance of 0,000<0,05, (3) Mean value of N-Gain experimental class 0.52> N-Gain mean value of control class 0.32. Thus, the implementation of blended learning in the ecology chapter in terms of understanding the concept is said to be effective.

<p>The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of learning models to student achievement. Learning models compared between NHT-CTL, NHT and direct instruction. Method of research used quasi experimental with the factorial design of 3x1. Population of this research was all students class VIII in SMP Negeri at Madiun City. The sampling technique using a stratified cluster random sampling. Samples in this research were 266 students with 91 students as experimental class I, 88 students as experimental class II and 87 students as control class. Data collection methods used documentation and test.Hypothesis testing was performed using one-way analysis of variance with unequal cells. Based on the results of hypothesis testwere concluded that NHT-CTL learning model gave better achievement than NHT learning model and direct instruction, while NHT learning model and direct instruction gave the same achievement. </p>

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) terdapat perbedaan efektivitas dalam penggunaan  media pembelajaran dengan berbasis video dan tidak menggunakan media pada pembelajaran konvensional terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian Control Group Pretest- Posttest. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMPN 20 Batam kelas VIII tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik Cluster Random Sampling. Sampel penelitian kelas eksperimen VIII.4 dan sampel kelas kontrol VIII.2. Analisis data menggunakan rumus uji t dua sampel. Sebelum data dianalisis, data terlebih dahulu diuji prasyarat analisis yaitu uji normalitas dan homogenitas. Kemudian dilakukan uji hipotesis berdasarkan data tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa: (1) terdapat efektivitas antara pembelajaran dengan media pembelajaran berbasis video dengan pembelajaran konvensional yang ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Kata Kunci : media video pembelajaran, metode konvensional, pemahaman konsep matematis Abstract:This research aims to know: (1) whether there are effectiveness and the difference between using video based learning media and not using media with conventional learning reviewed from student mathematical concepts understanding. The kinds of this research is Quasi Experiments research with Control Group Pretest Posttest research design. The population of this research are all student at SMPN 20 Batam in class VIII academic years 2016/2017. Taking sampling was done by Cluster Random Sampling technique. The research sample of experiment class is VIII.4 and sample of control class is VIII.2. The data was analyzed with using t test two sampling. Before the data was analyzed, the data was first tested on the pre requisite of analysis, there are normality test and homogeneity test. Then, conducted hypothesis test based on the data. The result of this research showed that: (1) there was the difference between video based learning media with conventional learning toward student mathematical concepts understanding. Key Words : VBL, conventional methods, mathematical concepts understanding.

The student learning outcomes in SMAN 1 Kalirejo academic year 2012/2013 show the results that many of students doesn't reach the KKM 70. In learning most of the students think that physics is one of difficult subject, bored, and complicated subject. they do not give their attention when thr learning proccess is running. There is nothing interaction and discussion between the student one the other's to discuss about the physics. the objectives of this research is know how the quality of the learning process in terms of student activity, based on the teacher activity, how the students learning respond, and how the students mastery in learning physics. Technique sampling in this research using is cluster random sampling technique, from 5 classes.To get the real data the research using tests, quesionnaires and observations. And to count the data effectivity the researcher using experiment method every indicator will be count by using experiment method. It start from multipled the each indicator then it will devided by how much indicator it self and the result of its will be times by 100%. The conclusion of the research in the use of the effective experiment method in teaching physics. thr score is 3.25 as shown by (1) the quality of learning process in terms of student's activity in high percentaage 81.2% in high ccategorize (2) the quality of lesson good enough if the percentage it is about 75% from teacher activity, (3) the student's respond after they got the method is positive it shows by the respond percentage 80,20%, (4) the result of individual student's score has the avarege value 78.8 and from the clasical student got 87.8%, all of thr score is high categorize. Researchers suggest subjects physics teacher when delivering measuring the amount of material should be used experiment method for learning effective, for students should be serious in implementing learning and doing each activity well to the result obtained either.

The study was to see the effect of scientific attitudes on the mathematics learning achievement of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 5 Kota Kupang. This type of research used in this research is quantitative research with statistical analysis techniques used is simple linear regression analysis. The population in this study were all class VIII with the research sample consisting of one class which was taken using a random sampling technique. The technique used for data collection using a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and rehabilitation and test results taken from the achievement test and a questionnaire from the sample class. Prerequisite tests were carried out including normality tests, linearity tests. Data analysis was performed using SPSS 22 for windows. The results showed that there was a significant influence between scientific attitudes on the mathematics learning achievement of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 5 Kota Kupang. This is evidenced by the value of and the significant value is, so accept. It can be concluded that there is a significant effect of scientific attitudes on the mathematics learning achievement of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 5 Kota Kupang.

This research aimed to examine the effect of VAK approach (Visualization, Auditory, Kinestetic) towards the result of learning physics of students at SMPN 10 Mataram in academic year 2013/2014. The kind of research used was experimental design with design of research was randomized posttest only control design. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. Population in this research was all the students from the eight grade at SMPN 10 Mataram, while the sample was 25 students of class VIII A as the experimental group and 27 students of class VIII B as the control group. The data obtained was analyzed by using t-test of two-tailed. t-count was 4.78 and t-table was 2.00 with significance level 0.05. Hence, t-table is smaller than t-count or t-count is bigger than t-table. It means that Null Hypothesis was rejected and Alternate Hypothesis was accepted. It means that the application of VAK Approach (Visualization, Auditory, Kinestetic) affects the results of learning physics of students.Keyword: VAK Approach

The objective of this research was to know the effectiveness of Rank Ordering Retell Strategy on reading comprehension of the eight grade students’ of SMP Advent Batam in academic year 2015/2016. The method was used in this research is experimental research, the research focused on True experimental Design. The population in this research was all students of eight grade students at SMP Advent Batam in academic year 2015/2016. The number of the entire students is 163. The researcher used cluster random sampling technique to determine class of the research. The subject of the study was the grade VIII – 2 and VIII – 3. There were 32 students each class. The researcher conducted research in two classes. The first class (VIII – 2) was as experiment class and the second class (VIII – 3) as control class. The experiment class was taught reading narrative text using Rank Ordering Retell Strategy, while control class was taught reading narrative text using conventional strategy (lecture method). In analyzing the data, the researcher used a quantitative measurement to find the result. The analysis of the data showed that there was a significant difference of the students’ achievement before conducted treatment the average of the students’ was 62.34 for experimental class and 64.22 for control class. While the average of the students’ achievement after conducted treatment in experimental class was 79.38 and in control class was 68.75. Based on this finding, it can be concluded that the used of Rank Ordering Retell Strategy gave significant effect in reading comprehension than the use of conventional strategy (lecture method).Keywords:  rank ordering retell strategy, reading comprehension, narrative text.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of perceived quality and brand image on brand loyalty and brand equity. This research is in the form of associative and carried out on consumers of Samsung Galaxy mobile phones. The sample in this study amounted to 112 people taken using purposive sampling sampling technique, namely the technique of determining the sample with certain considerations that are considered to represent the population. Data analysis techniques are carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the AMOS 16.00 program. The results of this study indicate that all hypotheses are accepted. Perceived quality and brand image have a positive and significant effect on brand equity. This means that good perceived quality and brand image will form a good brand equity for the company. Perceived quality and brand image have a positive and significant effect on brand loyalty. When the perceived quality of consumers towards good brands and the resulting brand image is good, consumers will develop brand loyalty. Then brand loyalty has a positive and significant effect on brand equity. With the brand loyalty of consumers it will add to the positive value that the brand has and will add to the brand equity of the brand and company.
