AbstractThe study states the research question on character educational value of Kalamata novel by Ni Made Purnama Sari and its relevance by learning literature in high school. The research objective is to describe and analyze the character educational value of Kalamata novel by Ni Made Purnama Sari and its relevancy by learning literature in high school. The used research method is descriptive qualitative. This study investigates 12 character educational values of Kalamata novel that consist of (1) social care, (2) religious, (3) creative, (4) environmental awareness, (5) friendly or communicative, (6) curiosity, (7) honest, (8) nationalism, (9) work hard, (10) tolerance, (11) achievement appreciation, and (12) nationality spirit. Those found character educational values is relevant with learning literature based on Indonesian teachers’ interview and 2013 Curriculum syllabus.Key words/phrases: character educational value, Kalamata novel, literature learning, literature learning relevancy NILAI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER NOVEL KALAMATA KARYA NI MADE PURNAMA SARI DAN RELEVANSINYA UNTUK PEMBELAJARAN SASTRA DI SMAAbstrakPenelitian ini memuat rumusan masalah mengenai nilai pendidikan karakter novel Kalamata karya Ni Made Purnama Sari dan relevansinya dengan pembelajaran sastra di SMA. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis nilai pendidikan karakter novel Kalamata karya Ni Made Purnama Sari dan relevansinya dengan pembelajaran sastra di SMA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Penelitian ini menemukan 12 nilai pendidikan karakter pada novel Kalamata yang  meliputi (1) peduli sosial, (2) religius, (3) kreatif, (4) peduli lingkungan, (5) bersahabat/komunikatif, (6) rasa ingin tahu, (7) jujur, (8) cinta tanah air, (9) kerja keras, (10) toleransi, (11) menghargai prestasi, dan (12) semangat kebangsaan. Character education is a form of cultivation of noble character in students. The aspect of 'social care' character is one of the most important of the eighteen character education in Indonesia, this is because the sense of sensitivity and help towards others in the environment around students begins to diminish. There are various kinds of media to succeed in internalizing character education, one of which is a novel. The novel Merindu Baginda Nabi by Habiburrahman El-Shirazy can be said to be a complete novel in instilling character in Indonesia. Therefore, researchers will explore how the value of social care character education in the novel Merindu Baginda Nabi. The research method used is qualitative descriptive qualitative research. The novel Merindu Baginda Nabi as a source of data in this study, in the form of dialogue and narrative stories about character education about social care. Based on the results of the analysis, seventeen data were found that were divided into four important parts, namely: giving help to others, caring for others, mutual respect, and sympathy.

Transferring meaning embedded by English idiom is not an easy way to do. The meaning contained by English Idiom cannot be comprehended by merely knowing the meaning from each word arranging the idiom. Dealing with English idiom in translation is quite hard because the translator has to transfer the meaning of English idiom into Bahasa Indonesia rightly. On the other hand, it is quite difficult to find the equivalence term in Bahasa Indonesia reflecting the same meaning as it is reflected in the source text. To manage this problem, the translation strategies need to be applied. This research focuses on analyzing the translation strategies used by the translator in transferring the meaning of English idioms into Bahasa Indonesia in the subtitle of  Pitch Perfect 3 Movie. The research method is descriptive qualitative method.. Baker’s translation strategies is used as guideline in classifying the translation strategies used. After finding the type of translation strategies employed, further identifying whether the meaning of English idiom is transferred rightly in Bahasa Indonesia. According to the finding, translation by using idiom in similar meaning and disimilar form was not used by the translator to translate the idioms. The frequency of  translation by using idiom in similar meaning but disimilar form strategy is 4 idioms. 46 idioms were translated by using paraphrased strategy. It is only 1 idiom was translated by using omission strategy. that the meaning of 36 idioms are transferred accurately. The meaning of four idioms were transferred Less-accurately. The meaning of 11 idioms were classified as inaccurate translation

Poetry writing activities are still considered difficult by students. The learning media used have not been able to support learning activities on poetry material. Therefore, this study aims to produce  Android-based learning media on poetry material for high school subjects. This research method adapts the ADDIE model to design a system in learning. The instruments in this study used media validation sheets and material validation sheets. The results of this study indicate that the learning media based on an Android applications is declared appropriate for use in learning. The feasibility is evidenced by the result of the assessment of media experts and material experts who state that the learning media is very accomodating and qualified. Based on these result, instructional media for writing poetry is recommended to be develop in other materials in bahasa Indonesia. AbstrakKegiatan menulis puisi masih dianggap sulit oleh siswa. Media pembelajaran yang digunakan selama ini belum mampu menunjang kegiatan pembelajaran pada materi puisi. Oleh karena itu, tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan sebuah media pembelajaran berbasis aplikasi android pada materi puisi untuk siswa kelas X SMA. Metode penelitian ini mengadaptasi model ADDIE untuk merancang sebuah sistem dalam pembelajaran. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan lembar validasi media dan lembar validasi materi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran menulis puisi berbasis aplikasi android dinyatakan layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Kelayakan tersebut dibuktikan dari hasil penilaian pakar media dan pakar materi yang menyatakan bahwa media pembelajaran  sangat  akomodatif dan berkualitas. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, media pembelajaran menulis puisi berbasis aplikasi direkomendasikan untuk dikembangkan pada materi lainnya dalam mata pelajaran bahasa Indonesia.

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji dan mendeskripsikan ketransitifan verba pada buku teks Bahasa Indonesia SMP kelas VII Kurikulum 2013 revisi 2016. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa karakteristik verba pada buku teks Bahasa Indonesia SMP kelas VII Kurikulum 2013 revisi 2016 dari segi ketransitifan verba mencakupi lima jenis ketransitifan, yaitu verba ekatransitif, verba dwitransitif, verba taktransitif,verba taktransitif berpelengkap wajib, dan verba taktransitif berpelengkap manasuka.The aim of this research is to study and describe the transitivity of verbs in 7th Grade Junior High School Indonesian language textbook of 2013 curriculum 2016 revision. Method of this research is descriptive-qualitative. Result of this study shows that there are fi ve types of transitivity of verbs found in the book. There are monotransitive, ditransitive, intransitive, obligatory complemented intransitive verbs, and arbitrary complemented intransitive verbs.

This study aims to describe the sociomatematical norms that are owned by students when learning mathematics in class. The subjects of this study were students of class VII-A Jakarta 113 Junior High School. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. This research uses sociomatematical norms questionnaire and interview. Based on the results of the study, there were 9 students who had very good sociomatematical norms categories with a total percentage of indicators of 81% and there were 14 students who had good sociomatematical norms categories with a total percentage of indicators of 72%. The results showed that very good sociomatematical norms owned by students would affect the high results obtained by students in mathematics learning and good sociomatematical norms would affect the moderate and low results obtained by students in learning mathematics.

Abstract The purpose of this study was to describe parenting patterns in developing children's social care. Parenting is a pattern of interaction between parents and children during care that has an important role in shaping the child's personality. Social care is a caring attitude towards the surrounding community. The research method uses descriptive qualitative research. The research location is Glengseran Hamlet, Suci Village, Panti District, Jember District. The method of selecting informants is purposive. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used Miles and Huberman's theories namely condensation, presentation, verification and conclusion. Data validity uses source triangulation.   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pola asuh orang tua dalam mengembangkan kepedulian sosial anak. Pola asuh orang tua merupakan pola interaksi antara orang tua dan anaknya selama pengasuhan yang mempunyai peranan penting dalam pembentukan kepribadian anak. Kepedulian sosial merupakan sikap perduli terhadap masyarakat sekitar. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Lokasi penelitian yakni Dusun Glengseran Desa Suci Kecamatan Panti Kabupatrn Jember. Metode pemilihan informan dengan purposive. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan Teori Miles dan Huberman yakni kondensasi, penyajian, verifikasi dan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber.   Kata Kunci: pola asuh, orang tua, kepedulian sosial

This research is to know the values of religious character in the novel Mahamimpi Anak Negeri by Suyatna Pamungkas to build the character of high school students. The goal of this research is the formation of the religious character of high school students through the novel in the novel Mahamimpi Anak Negeri by Suyatna Pamungkas. This research method is descriptive qualitative. The technique of writing this data using content analysis. The results of this study First, the results of the discourse analysis found that describes the education of religious characters in the novel Mahamimmpi Anak Negeri Suyatna Pamungkas. Both discussions about the religious character of high school students through interviews with teachers.

<p>It was discovered that during the process of learning biology, grade VIII students at SMP ABC in Cikarang lacked discipline which distrupted the ability of the class to study conducively.  To solve this problem, the researcher implemented a specific rule which was "Raise Your Hand before Speaking". The research aim was to see whether the discipline of the students in grade VIII could be improved through the establish and implementation of this specific rule. The method used was the classroom action research method. It used the cycle model and it was made reflectively. The research was completed after 2 cycles with 25 students as the subject of the research. The results of the data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques and descriptive qualitative. The instruments used to collect data were student questionnaires, observation sheets of students' discipline, student interview sheets, mentor’s feedback sheets and the researcher’s journal reflections. The data from all the instruments showed that in the second cycle the discipline indicators achieved a very good criteria. This shows that the establishment and implementation of the specific "Raise Your Hand Before Speaking" rule can improve the discipline of the students of grade VIII at SMP ABC in Cikarang.  </p><p><em><em>BAHASA INDONESIA ABSTRAK:</em> Selama pembelajaran Biologi berlangsung ditemukan bahwa siswa kelas VIII SMP ABC CIKARANG kurang disiplin sehingga mengganggu terciptanya iklim kelas yang kondusif untuk belajar. Dalam rangka mengatasi masalah yang ditemukan, peneliti menerapkan peraturan spesifik Raise Your Hand before Speaking. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah kedisplinan siswa kelas VIII dapat ditingkatkan melalui penetapan dan penerapan peraturan spesifik ini.</em></p><p><em>Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas model siklus yang dilakukan secara bersiklus dan bersifat reflektif. Penelitian ini diselesaikan dalam dua siklus. Satu siklus terdiri dari dua pertemuan belajar. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 25 siswa.</em></p><p><em>Hasil data dianalisa dengan menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif dan deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah angket siswa, lembar observasi kedisiplinan siswa, lembar wawancara siswa, lembar umpan balik mentor dan jurnal refleksi peneliti. Berdasarkan data dari seluruh instrumen tersebut menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus 2 ketercapaian indikator kedisiplinan bermakna <strong>baik sekali</strong>. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penetapan dan penerapan peraturan spesifik Raise Your Hand before Speaking dapat meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa kelas VIII di Sekolah SMP ABC Cikarang dalam pelajaran Biologi.</em></p><p><em><br /></em></p>

<p><em>The research, entitled "Whatsapp Chat Indonesian Language Group Jargon Variations" aims to describe the variety of language jargon conducted by the Indonesian Language Tadris student community. The research method used is descriptive qualitative which analyzes the results of research in the form of words. Where the data is obtained, analyzed, classified and interpreted based on the results of research in the field. The technique used in the study is a technique to see and note. The results showed that there were 76 findings of data classified in (a) form of jargon, (b) classification of language variations in jargon in language level, (c) pattern of jargon language variation, (d) factors that led to language variations in jargon</em></p><p><em><br /></em></p><p><em><em>Penelitian yang berjudul “Variasi Jargon Chatting Whatsapp Grup Mahasiswa Tadris Bahasa Indonesia” bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan variasi bahasa jargon yang dilakukan oleh komunitas mahasiswa Tadris Bahasa Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif yang menganalisis hasil penelitian berupa kata-kata. Dimana data-datanya diperoleh, dianalisis, diklasifikasikan dan diinterpretasikan berdasarkan hasil penelitian di lapangan. Teknik yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah teknik simak dan catat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya 76 temuan data yang diklasifikasikan dalam (a) wujud jargon, (b) klasifikasi variasi bahasa jargon dalam tingkat bahasa, (c) pola variasi bahasa jargon, (d) faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan terjadinya variasi bahasa jargon</em></em></p>
