The phenomenon of boarding school has evolved since the 1990s. In addition to having advantages, the school also has barriers in the learning process. Therefore, the need to explore some information directly related to the reasons why boarding school is developed, students’ life in school together and the learning process that occurred. The research method is used  a qualitative approach. Schools in this study are limited to Islamic boarding schools at junior high school level in grade VII. The research procedure is undertaken to find the phenomenon of research subjects that occurred at boarding schools. The validity of data in this research uses source and method triangulation techniques, namely by checking phenomena obtained from observations, interviews with parents, interviews with students, interviews with teachers, and interviews with teachers dormitories. The general conclusion regarding Islamic-based boarding schools is that the school has become the choice of parents in educating their children to gain abilities in the religious and academic fields. In mathematics learning, the teachers prefer direct approach learning rather than indirect learning, and also most of them do not use a lesson plan as teaching guides. Therefore, the school must be able to choose and apply a learning approach oriented to the conditions of diversity that occur in boarding schools so that students have no difficulty in receiving the subject matter.

The subjects in this study were mathematics teachers from ten junior high school level in Pidie Jaya district, amounting to 15 people with purposive sampling. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The research data was obtained from the results of MGMP activities (Subject Teacher Consultation) with two categories, namely material that was difficult to teach, and a difficult learning process for certain material. The results of the study show that some material that is difficult to teach is the sequence and series, congruence, statistics, algebra (rank in roots), geometry, opportunities, and equations and linear inequalities. For the learning process that is felt difficult for certain materials, namely Algebra (KPK, FPB and SPLDV), Series / pattern numbers, congruence, not actual rank, comparison, flat build, and statistics. Keywords: constraints, problems, learning mathematics, difficult material

English in junior high contains short texts on description, narrative, and procedural. This research was motivated by a problem in learning Indonesian in grade VII SMP with the material of Procedure Text. To overcome this, a learning media was made using technology to facilitate the distance learning process or independent learning. This study aims to describe the validity or feasibility value of millennial textbooks based on Augmented Reality technology used in learning Indonesian at the Junior High School level (SMP) in Procedure Text material. The Millennial Textbook is named The Magic Book, which is how it works using AR technology by displaying images on the book as well as 3D animation on Android-based devices. This research is a research and development or Research and Development (RnD) using the theory of Borg & Gall which contains 3 major steps, namely design, testing, evaluation. This article contains validation tests from media experts and material experts to test the feasibility value of developed textbooks and limited field trials for seventh grade students at the junior high school level in Magelang City. The result of this feasibility test is that the material expert gives an assessment score of 122 from a maximum score of 130 or equivalent to 93.8% eligibility in a valid or suitable category for use in learning. The media expert gave an assessment score of 84 out of a maximum score of 90 or equivalent to 93.3% in the valid or feasible category for use as a medium in the learning process. The results of the field trial stated that the Magic Book was categorized as valid and feasible to be applied in teaching procedural texts for seventh grade students of SMP in Magelang.

Mathematics is a science that is widely used in everyday life such as used in trade transactions, carpentry, and so on. But until now many people think that mathematics is a subject that is considered difficult and difficult to understand, especially for junior high school students. Though mathematics itself has been taught starting from the level of childhood and elementary school. Because learning methods still use conventional methods such as the ability to write and count, this is what makes students feel bored because moreover some students do not like these math subjects. Not only in terms of subjects and learning media is still conventional in nature that is only based on the book. For this reason, a learning media is created which is packaged in an android-based application by including elements of mathematics learning in it. The application that was designed was a junior high school level mathematics education quiz application, with the aim of training students 'ability to count, train their memory and increase students' interest in learning in mathematics.

The art of teaching is needed in today's learning activities. Model of think talk writes learning-based regional language triggers all elements of learning to be more effective and interactive.. All theoretical references are arranged in the learning model and environmental potential, the management of learning in the classroom becomes effective. Describing the form of strengthening conceptual understanding through with model of think talk write the learning-based regional language in social science learning at the junior high school level in Semarang requires a cross-culture approach to research design. The collaboration of potential macro environment, micro environment, and learning objects result in a dynamic and effective learning process. Learning outcomes naturally improve. Therefore, three things that were found in this learning activity triggered the learning process. This includes (a) effective thematic learning, (b) utilization of the potential of the environment in learning, and (c) information management from students needs to be better managed and developed so that the quality of learning can increase (quality).
