THE STRUCTURE AND CONTENT OF SOCIAL PERCEPTION IMAGES IN THE CONSCIOUS OF FOSTER MOTHERS

This article examines the problem of the image of a foster child in the representations of foster mothers. The goal of the work is to determine the structural features of the foster mother's I-image, the You-image of the foster child. Research hypothesis - the structure and content of I-images and images of foster children are statistically and qualitatively related. Study participants were 78 people, foster mothers aged 29-66 years (М=49,64; SD=7,54). Based on the results of the empirical study, structural and content features were revealed in the ideas of foster mothers about themselves and their foster children. There are differences in the components of images: social intelligence (p≤0,05), behavioral (p≤0,05), bodily (p≤0,05), neutral (p≤0.05), negative (p≤0,05). Correlations were established between the characteristics of the images reflecting attitudes toward a person. Comparison of social-perceptual images in structure and content indicates the similarity of the I-images of mothers with the You-images of their foster children. The results obtained are based on a single mechanism for the development of socio-perceptual images. Foster mothers choose a child and build interaction with him/her, relying not so much on the reflection of real personal features of the child, as on their own ideas about themselves, on their I-concept.

Education on the importance of health awareness

Efforts to reduce the number of Covid-19 cases on a daily basis can begin with simple things like developing the habit of properly hand washing. In addition, education about women's reproductive health is provided. This service is carried out at the Robbani Foundation which has 13 foster children. This service promotes a better understanding of proper hand washing techniques. This activity is expected to help reduce the spread of Covid-19 by cultivating clean living education and sharing with orphans and poor.

PENGENALAN DASAR-DASAR AKUNTANSI BAGI SISWA RUMAH BELAJAR MAHKOTA KASIH INSANI

Education for the younger generation is very important in increasing knowledge, creating creativity, and developing self-potential. Therefore, the Mahkota Kasih Insani Learning House in addition to funding student's schools also collaborates with external parties to provide initial knowledge for students from the foster children of the MahkotaKasih Insani Learning House before facing learning activities at school. The collaboration is carried out by inviting lecturers and students of the Accounting Department, Faculty of Economics and Business, UniversitasTarumanagara, Jakarta to share knowledge in the field of accounting in community service activities. The purpose of this activity is to provide training on the introduction of the basics of accounting for students of the Mahkota Kasih Insani Learning House. The activity will be carried out on Saturday, July 3, 2021, offline with strict health protocols. This activity uses training methods regarding the introduction of accounting basics, accounting structures, basic accounting equations, and financial reports, as well as practice exercises about accounting basics. Based on the results of the activity evaluation, it can be concluded that community service activities run smoothly and give a good general impression for students because students can better recognize and understand the basics of accounting that are useful in dealing with learning activities in schools in the field of accounting.Pendidikan bagi generasi muda sangat penting dalam menambah pengetahuan, menciptakan kreativitas, dan mengembangkan potensi diri. Oleh karena itu, Rumah Belajar Mahkota Kasih Insani selain membiayai sekolah siswa juga bekerjasama dengan pihak eksternal memberikan pengetahuan awal bagi siswa dari anak asuh Rumah Belajar Mahkota Kasih Insani.sebelum menghadapi kegiatan belajar di sekolah. Kerjasama yang dilakukan dengan cara mengundang dosen dan mahasiswa Jurusan Akuntansi Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas TarumanagaraJakarta untuk berbagi ilmu dibidang akuntansi dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Tujuan dari kegiatan tersebut adalah memberikan pelatihan pengenalan dasar-dasar akuntansi bagi siswa Rumah Belajar Mahkota Kasih Insani. Pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan pada hari Sabtu, 3 Juli 2021 secara luring dengan protokol kesahatan yang ketat. Kegiatan tersebut menggunakan metode pelatihan mengenai pengenalan dasar-dasar akuntansi, struktur akuntansi, persamaan dasar akuntansi, dan laporan keuangan, serta praktek latihan soal dasar-dasar akuntansi. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi kegiatan, maka dapat disimpulkan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat berjalan dengan lancar dan memberikan kesan umum yang baik bagi siswa dikarenakan siswa dapat lebih mengenal dan memahami dasar-dasar akuntansi yang bermanfaat dalam menghadapi kegiatan belajar di sekolah dalam bidang akuntansi.

Pelatihan Internet Sehat Sebagai Antisipasi Cyber Bullying Anak Remaja di Panti Asuhan “Kemala Puji” Bandar Lampung

The background of foster children in Kemala Puji orphanage are mostly from poor families, orphans, neglected, and homeless child. The institution have been serve, nurture, and empower by providing them a sufficient living. Hence, it still needs a better improvement. This is because these children deserve to be made for the next generation. This activity aims to rise of social care between humanity in adolescents, especially for children in the orphanage. This have been done by imparting knowledge to them about healthy internet. Moreover, its increases understanding how to use the internet more healthily, properly and to anticipate of cyber bullying against them. The outcome of training activities are the youth children have been understood how to use a healthy internet, and they have been sufficient skills how to use internet which was given during the training.

A Systematic Review on Foster Parents’ Psychological Adjustment and Parenting Style—An Evaluation of Foster Parents and Foster Children Variables

The current systematic review aimed to evaluate the variables influencing foster parents’ parenting stress, distress and parenting style, thereby supporting their adjustment and well-being as well as that of foster children. A PRISMA-guided search was conducted in three databases. Observational studies examining parenting stress, parenting distress (subsuming anxiety, depression and stress symptoms) and parenting style—all assessed through validated tools—were considered. A total of 16 studies were included, comprising N = 1794 non-relative foster parents (age range = 30–67 years). Results showed heightened parenting stress over time, both overall and compared to parents at large. Neither foster parents’ nor foster children’s socio-demographic characteristics significantly contributed to the increase in parenting stress; yet child-related stress and children’s externalizing problems were its main predictors. Foster parents’ couple cooperation was associated with reduced parenting stress. Moreover, the authoritative parenting style was associated with parental warmth, while the authoritarian style was associated with foster parents’ greater perceived burden, greater criticism and rejection toward the foster child. Evidence supports the mutual influence between foster parents and children. Foster care services should support foster parents’ needs within a concentric modular system, to ultimately provide better care for both foster parents and children.

Pelatihan Parenting Pola Asuh Pada Orang Tua Asuh Di Rumah Yatim Ymaju Talang Bakung Jambi

ABSTRAK Orang tua merupakan pihak yang bertanggung jawab atas terbentuknya karakter anak. Pola asuh yang diberikan dan diterapkan berpengaruh untuk masa depan anak. Untuk menjadi orang tua asuh merupakan suatu tantangan, karena memerlukan kesabaran dan keikhlasan. Agar tidak salah dalam menerapkan pola asuh, penting bagi orang tua asuh untuk mengetahui macam-macam pola asuh. Tujuan pelatihan parenting ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan orang tua asuh tentang pola asuh yang dapat diterapkan pada anak asuh di Rumah Yatim YMAJU Talang Bakung Jambi. Kegiatan yang dilakukan pada pelatihan berupa pemberian materi, tanya jawab, diskusi kelompok dan dilakukan pemutaran video terkait pola asuh. Selain itu, untuk menyalurkan kreativitas anak, disediakan fasilitas bermain dan mini pustaka. Terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan peserta tentang pola asuh setelah diberikan pelatihan parenting serta sebagian besar anak bermain pada taman bermain dan mengunjungi mini pustaka. The parenting style that is given and applied affects the future of the child. Becoming a foster parent is a challenge because it requires patience and sincerity. In order not to be wrong in applying to parents, foster parents need to know the various parenting patterns. The purpose of this parenting training is to increase the knowledge of foster parents about parenting that can be applied to foster children at YMAJU Yatim House Talang Bakung Jambi. Activities carried out in the training included providing material, question and answer, group discussions, and video screenings related to parenting. In addition, to channel children's creativity, play facilities and mini-libraries are provided. There was an increase in participants' knowledge about parenting after being given parenting training and most of the children played on the playground and visited the mini library.
