Advances in science and technology have made many human activities easier. Such as convenience in transportation, communication, industry, and security. However, it cannot be denied that many negative impacts are also caused by science and technology, including the environment. The problem that originally wanted to be solved by science and technology turned out to be even more complicated. This study will examine how the characteristics and implications of modern Western science on the environment in a Theological review. This research uses the method of abstraction, holistica, and hermeneutical circles. characteristics of modern Western science are based on rationalists, empiricists, and anthropocentric. So that it has bad implications for the environment, the pattern of human interaction with the environment becomes destructive and exploitative of nature.

Knowledge presented by Oral History (OH) is unique in that it shares the tacit perspective, thoughts, opinions and understanding of the interviewee in its primary form. While teachers, lecturers and other education specialists have at their disposal a wide range of primary, secondary and tertiary sources upon which to relate and share or impart knowledge, OH presents a rich source of information that can improve the learning and knowledge impartation experience. The uniqueness of OH is presented in the following advantages of its use: it allows one to learn about the perspectives of individuals who might not otherwise appear in the historical record; it allows one to compensate for the digital age; one can learn different kinds of information; it provides historical actors with an opportunity to tell their own stories in their own words; and it offers a rich opportunity for human interaction. This article discusses the placement of oral history in the classroom set-up by investigating its use as a source of learning material presented by the National Archives of Zimbabwe to students in the Department of Records and Archives Management at the National University of Science and Technology (NUST). Interviews and a group discussion were used to gather data from an archivist at the National Archives of Zimbabwe, lecturers and students in the Department of Records and Archives Management at NUST, respectively. These groups were approached on the usability, uniqueness and other characteristics that support this type of knowledge about OH in a tertiary learning experience. The findings indicate several qualities that reflect the richness of OH as a teaching source material in a classroom set-up. It further points to weak areas that may be addressed where the source is considered a viable strategy for knowledge sharing and learning. The researchers present a possible model that can be used to champion the use of this rich knowledge source in classroom education at this university and in similar set-ups.

<p class="1Body">This paper focuses on Li Hung Chang (1823-1901)’s visit to England and America in 1896, to rethink and revaluate the importat role Li played at that historical time. Li Hung Chang toured Europe and America in 1896 as an imperial envoy of the first rank. Although some aspects of Li’s career and evaluation have been given monographic treatment, there is yet little study on his comments on his attitudes toward Western science and technology. This paper augues that if modernization is a matter of modern state power as an army, navy, or diplomatic corps, then Li was certainly a modernizer. But if modernization is a deeper process of organizational and institutional change, Li was not a determined modernizer. In fact, Li relied heavily on patronage even when he could exercise legitimate political power, in order to adovocate Self-Strengthening Movement.</p>

The academic world in Indonesia has growing rapidly which is marked by the development of science and technology. With all the facilities offered, technology has a positive and negative impact on life. One of negative impacts is plagiarism. The plagiarism often occurs among students, therefore detection of plagiarism needs to be done to avoid plagiarism. This reseacrh to detect the similarity of the text content of the document using the Levenshtein Distance algorithm. The type of document used is .pdf . The documents used are thesis proposals and publication papers. In the calculation speed test, the source document which count words 4405 with 3 comparative documents that have words 13465 count produces a calculation duration 3.57 seconds.

The main economic activity in the Jiu Valley is mining, which provides to the society an important content of mineral raw  materials required for the development and progress, representing  the main activity in producing the value chain. The majority of the  mining activities and other economic activities deployed along the  basin of the East Jiu generates both negative environmental impacts (more or less serious) and positive impacts such as those  related to employment, staff training, creating infrastructures etc. In  the most cases, the negative impacts of the human activities can  be much improved up to a point or even eliminated through the  remedial measures, particularly through environmental rehabilitation of the affected areas. But if a watercourse is strongly  affected by sediments generated by the human activity still on the  top side, the pollution will be  intensifed much more on the bottom  side with signifiant changes on the aquatic ecosystems and with an  impossibility of consumption and the use of the water resources by  the riparian population. The main objective of this paper consists of the identification and the description of all human activities  presented along the East Jiu and the analayses of the negative  influence exerted on the river water quality. To compare the water  quality of the East Jiu and monitoring its variations in time, it was  used the method water quality index (WQI), having the straight  purpose of aggregating individual indicators (expressed in physical units) in a unique water quality index.

Digitalization has become part and parcel of the modern-day human activities. Nowadays it is going into every field of business and personal life. To develop and prosper, most organizations need IT systems, and hence to take the safeguarding of their informational assets seriously. Many of the processes which are essential for securing their IT assets, largely depend on human interaction. This study has attempted to address the culture of cyber-security in the light of psychology and law. The results of the research showed that from the psychological standpoint, the culture of cyber-security involves the willingness on the part of a modern human to overcome the digital expansion by mastering the tools for countering the negative IT factors. In its turn, from the legal standpoint, the culture of cyber-security is based on the legislative framework which regulates the legal relations in the field of cyber-security.

In the midst of Western science and technology hegemony over the societies of countries around the world, especially Muslims, has had an enormous influence on the style, style and worldview of society, and the most striking is the secularization of science, technology and religion. There is a paradigm that considers the dividing wall between science and religion (Islam). This has led to the impression that religious education runs without the support of science and technology, in contrast, public education is present without a religious touch. To overcome the situation, one of the things to do is to open and re-understand the text of the Qur'an and Hadith, and to establish a dialectic between science, technology, and the science of religion. In addition, the "Islamization of science" project is an alternative to the desecularetation of science and religious science, which seeks to integrate world problems with the hereafter, synthesize faith, science and charity, integrate dhikr with thought. In short, integrating transcendental values into aspects of worldly life including science and technology.

A human being as biosocial essence is tightly interrelated with nature and society. In the history of relations between human and nature it appeared in different forms and levels – a human being as a child, brother and the lord of it. Qualitatively new relations between the human being and nature must be established in the 21st century. Ecological problems, the expiration of natural resources, urbanization and other major aspects of modern life require a new approach to the relations between the human being and nature. The levels of relations between the human being and nature have always remained different: first, as a child of nature (a primitive man or a child glorifying nature), then as a brother of nature (little understanding nature and communicating with it) and finally, the human being as the lord of nature (trying to rule and change nature). In the 19th and 20th centuries the latter attitude was clearly reflected by natural science positivism, Marxism, technocratic utilitarianism and many other conceptions that preach the use of nature, the reconstruction of natural environment, consumerism with nature. In the 20th century the development of countries overmuch polarized towards technical, manufacturing and consumables enlargement determined a global ecological crisis. Modern science is actively looking for effective ways to solve ecological problems. The scores of the current ecological situation are being revealed. One of the most important reasons of the current situation is the factor that modern human beings have lost spiritual relations with environment. Mainly, the ecological crisis is being described as the crisis of the human itself including his consciousness, thinking, cultural environment and moral. The tendency that is prevailing today shows nature being qualified as a technocratic, urban, pragmatic value, a technological object which is employed in the process of progress. The following propositions can be specified: • Effective natural science education require conformable psychological substantiation; • Interaction with Nature varies and is specific within different periods of life; • The mission of the teacher is to wisely manage a developing process of “true” interaction with nature; • At all levels of the system of natural science education /aspects of the content of education and practical activity/ must continuously be accomplished the comprehension of the unity of living and inanimate nature; • Formation of the personal responsibility of young generation for future our planet /state of environment/- one of the priority tasks in the sphere science and technology education; • The content of science and technology education must include the analysis of reasons and consequences of contradictions in the system "nature-man- society". All our relations with nature turn out to be problematic. Formation of harmonic relations between nature and mankind becomes an important goal. It is obvious that in any activity one cannot exclusively rely on knowledge and mind, because these are not absolute values. It is understood that we cannot become the rulers over nature. A sphere of natural science developing is very wide, complicated and diversed, thus it requires a new point of view and common efforts of professionals from various areas. Rising global problems are general trouble all of us because there isn't any problem isolated from one another. The solution of them is possible when problems are being thoroughnessly analysed closely linking its interpendention. Key words: natural science education, interaction with nature, technological education, modern society.

Cognitive Intelligence development is related to intellectual potential of the individual, the ability of think and problems solve. The cognitive aspect is also influenced by the development of the brain's central nerve cells. The use of smartphones in daily life can be felt by facilitating communication for its users and also as a means of entertainment, as well as a form ofintroduction to Science and technology for early generations as a means of technological literacy, the negative impacts caused such as, making addiction to children under age teenager, the level of desire to learn decreases when in school or at home and children will be lazy to move and ect. So there needs to be an introduction in the form of local content or additional subjects in schools, which direct the use of smartphones for students to progress in a positive direction.
