High motivation to learn will encourage and move students to always move and achieve the best results. The purpose of this study was to see an increase in student motivation through the cooperative learning model Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) type. The method used in this study is the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method. The population in this study were all students of class XII Science in SMA 2 Bandar Lampung. Sampling is done by simple random sampling technique. The sample in this study was 38 people. The analysis technique uses an independent sample t-test. The results showed that the implementation of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type of cooperative learning model on the principles of redox and electrochemical reactions were used to test student learning. The results of this study also discussed increasing students' motivation to learn including motivation to cooperate with each other, discuss, help each other, and ask questions

This research is purposed to reveal scales of student’s learning motivation contribution and pedagogical competence of teachers grade for computer and information management skills subject at X class SMKN 1 Tilatang Kamang. The type of this research is descriptive correlation. Populations in this research are 164 students, and samples are amount to 62 students of X class SMKN 1 Tilatang Kamang, school of year 2012/2013. Samples are taken by simple random sampling technique. Data were collected by questionnaire and documentation. Data analysis technique in this research is Pearson product moment and multiple-correlation. Results from data analysis claimed that there are contributions from learning motivation and pedagogical competence of teachers grade of computer and information management skills subject at X class SMKN 1 Tilatang Kamang, as follow: (1) student’s learning motivation gives contribution to student’s grade by 21,34%, (2) pedagogical competence of teachers gives contribution to student’s grade by 17,89%, (3) student’s motivation to learn together with pedagogical competence of teachers give contribution to student’s grade by 27,98%. This research suggest that student’s motivation to learn and pedagogical competence of teachers give contribution to student’s grade.

This quasi – experimental research aims to determinethe effect of cooperative learning model Think Pair Share (TPS) and Numbered Heads Together (NHT) on students' mathematics achievement, and the effect ofcooperative learning model TPSand NHT on student motivation.Three classes were randomly selected for experiment and control groups, each class consists of 32 students. A questionnaire of 26 items is used to measure motivation test, and a test consisting of nine questions is used for measuring mathematics achievement. T-test was used for data analysis. The findings show that there is significant effect of both cooperative learningTPS model and NHT model onstudent mathematics achievement. However, the effect of  TPS and NHT models on student motivation to learn mathematics is not significant.   Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk menganalisis  pengaruh pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dan tipe NHT terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar matematika. Penelitian ini melibatkan 3 kelas experimen dan kelas control, masing-masing terdiri dari 32 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa tes motivasi yang terdiri dari 26 indikator, dan tes matematika yang terdiri dari 9 pertanyaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa, demikian pula penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT juga berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa.  Namun tidak ada perbedaan signifikan hasil belajar matematika menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT. Di samping itu ditemukan pengaruh yang signifikan penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPSdan Tipe NHT terhadap motivasi belajar matematika siswa.

This study examines the problem of improving mathematics learning outcomes among students with cooperative learning model NHT type and conventional learning approaches is reviewed as a whole and for each level of mathematical ability (high, medium, and low). This research is a quasi-experimental research design Nonequivalent Control Group Design uses Simple Random Sampling technique. The population in this study were students of class VII in a private junior high school in the city of Pekanbaru in Riau in the academic year 2014/2015. While the sample is graders VII2 as control class and class VII2 as an experimental class. The instrument used in this study is the mathematics achievement test. Quantitative analysis was performed using two mean difference test. The results showed that: (1) there is significant implementation of cooperative learning model NHT on the results of students' mathematics learning is reviewed as a whole and the level of ability was; (2) there is no effect of the application of cooperative learning model NHT towards mathematics learning outcomes of students based on high and low-level capabilities.

Lack of understanding of the concept has an impact on the low value of student scores in Indonesian language and natural science content. The purpose of this study was to examine the differences in the average ability of students' understanding of concepts between before and after the STAD learning model-assisted ALPIN media and measure the increase in students' understanding of concepts after being taught using the STAD learning model-assisted ALPIN media. This research is a quantitative study with a Pre-Experimental Design in the form of The One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The population in this study was a student of class IV SD 2. Sampling is done by a saturated sampling technique. The sample in this study was class IV SD 2, which amounted to 29 students. Data collection techniques in this study include observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. The data analysis technique used in processing research data is the normality test as a prerequisite test. In testing the research hypotheses used were paired sample t-test, N-gain test. The results showed that there were differences in the average ability of students' understanding of concepts after applying the Student Teams Achievement Division learning model-assisted ALPIN media, there is an increase in the ability to understand the concepts of students after using the STAD learning model-assisted ALPIN media.

Innovative and fun learning models place students at the center of learning including the STAD type cooperative learning model and the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model. Learning using the cooperative model type STAD and Jigsaw is considered capable of improving student achievement through group discussion and investigation through various sources used by students. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in learning achievement between students who were taught with the Jigsaw Type Cooperative Learning Model and students who were taught with the STAD Type Cooperative Learning Model on Statistics material. This research is an experimental research design with a Pretest-Posttest Control Design Group. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Trienggadeng even semester 2016/2017 academic year. While the sample is a portion of the population taken using the Random Sampling technique taken by 2 classes, namely Class VIII-3 and Class VIII-5. Class VIII-3 for the Jigsaw learning model and Class VIII-5 for the STAD learning model. The instrument used to obtain research data in the form of student achievement tests and student motivation questionnaires. The statistical test used to analyze data on differences in learning achievement and student motivation questionnaires is the t-test. The results showed that there were differences in learning achievement and motivation between students who were taught with the Jigsaw type cooperative learning model and students who were taught with the STAD type cooperative learning model. Abstrak Model pembelajaran yang inovatif dan menyenangkan menempatkan siswa sebagai pusat belajar diantaranya adalah model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw. Pembelajaran menggunakan model kooperatif tipe STAD dan Jigsaw dinilai mampu meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa melalui diskusi kelompok dan investigasi melalui berbagai sumber yang digunakan siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbedaan prestasi belajar antara siswa yang diajar dengan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe Jigsaw dan siswa yang diajarkan dengan Model Pembelajaran Kooperatif Tipe STAD pada materi Statistik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Pretest-Posttest Control Grup Desain. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Trienggadeng semester genap tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Sedangkan sampelnya adalah sebagian dari populasi yang diambil dengan menggunakan teknik Random Sampling yang diambil 2 kelas yaitu Kelas VIII-3 dan Kelas VIII-5. Kelas VIII-3 untuk model pembelajaran Jigsaw dan kelas VIII-5 untuk model pembelajaran STAD. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data penelitian berupa tes prestasi belajar dan angket motivasi siswa. Uji statistik yang digunakan untuk mengalisis data perbedaan prestasi belajar dan angket motivasi siswa adalah Uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan prestasi belajar dan motivasi antara siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif  tipe Jigsaw  dan siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif  tipe STAD. The objectives of this research were to investigate the effect of the learning models on the learning achievement in Mathematics viewed from the spatial ability of the students. This research used the quasi-experimental research method with the factorial design of 3 x 3. Its population was all of the students in grade XI of State Senior High Schools of Wonosobo regency in Academic Year 2017/2018. The samples of the research were taken by using the cluster random sampling technique. They consisted of 326 students. The data of the research were analyzed by using the two-way analysis of variance with unbalanced cells.The results of the research are as follows.1) The cooperative learning model of the STAD type results in a better learning achievement in Mathematics than the cooperative learning model of the TAI type and the direct learning model and the cooperative learning model of the STAD type results in a better learning achievement in Mathematics than the conventional learning model.2) The learning achievement in Mathematics of the students with the high spatial ability was better than that of the students with the moderate and low spatial abilities, and the learning achievement in Mathematics of the students with the moderate spatial ability was better than that of the students with the low spatial ability. 3) There was an interaction the aforementioned learning models and the categories of the spatial ability on the learning achievement in Mathematics of the students.

ABSTRACTThis study aimed to find out students’ communication skills after using cooperative learning model type pair checks and by lecturing and discussion method, to know the difference of students’ learning results after using cooperative learning model type pair checks and by lecturing and discussion method, and also to know the effectiveness of usng cooperative learning model type pair checks. It is a quasi experimental. Research used simple random sampling technique in taking the sample. The analysis of students learning results reported that the mean of students in experimental class 86,94 % is higher than the mean of students in control class 64,30 %. The analysis of students communication skills results reported that the percentage of students communication skills in experimental class 84% is higher than the percentage of students’ communication skills in control class 65%. The result of statistic test with α = 5 % the value is 0,00 which is lower than α (0,00<0,005). It means that there are some differences between esperimental class and control class. Effect size showed ES = 1,22 categorized as high, which means that cooperative learning model type pair checks affect significantly to students’ learning results as 38,69%.Keywords: Learning results, communication skills, Solubility and Solubility Product, Type of Pair Checks

AbstractThis study aims to determine the effect of the AIR learning model on students' multi-mathematical representation abilities, student activities and learning motivation. The population of this research is all students of class VIII. Samples were taken by simple random sampling technique. The selected sample consisted of two classes, namely VIIIB as the experimental class and VIIIC as the control class. This research is an experimental research design with Pretest-Postest Control Gruop. The results of the study can be concluded that: (1) There is a difference in the ability of multi mathematical representation of students in the class using the AIR learning model and the class using the direct learning model. (2) The effect of the AIR model is relatively high on the ability of students' multiple mathematical representations; 3) student learning activities as a whole are classified as very active; 4) student motivation is categorized high. Keywords : Auditory Intellectually Repetition, multi representations, student activities, student  motivation

This research is motivated by the importance of the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts. Alternative learning to improve these abilities is a learning model of contextual teaching and learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of contextual teaching and learning on the ability to understand mathematical concepts in terms of student motivation. The research design used in this study is Quasi Experimental Design with factorial 2 × 3. Sampling using Cluster Random Sampling technique. The population in this study were all seventh grade students in Bawang 1 State Middle School. The data in this study were obtained from the results of the posttest ability to understand mathematical concepts and student motivation questionnaires. Data processing is done by using the same two-way cell anava calculation followed by the Scheffe 'test and regression test to know the magnitude of the effect. Conclusions from the results of processing the data are 1) The ability to understand mathematical concepts in set material using the contextual teaching and learning learning model provides the ability to understand mathematical concepts that are the same as students with conventional learning models. 2) Students with high motivation have the ability to understand mathematical concepts better than students with low motivation, and students with moderate motivation have the ability to understand the same mathematical concepts as students who have low motivation. 3) There is no difference in students' ability to understand concepts between students who are given a contextual teaching and learning model and conventional on the level of student motivation. 4) Motivation of learning affects the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts in students given the model of contextual teaching and learning. Learning motivation can be used as an alternative to the affective aspect in measuring the ability to understand students' mathematical concepts, especially in set material because motivation affects the ability to understand mathematical concepts of class VII students.
