Happiness is a hope in the lives of many people, including the Mustahiq. This research aims to know the relationship between social support and optimism with happiness at Mustahiq. Participants in this study were 64 Mustahiq Rumah Zakat Medan determined by purposive sampling technique. The scale of research used is the scale of happiness and optimism based on the Seligman theory, and the social support scale based on House theory. The Data on this study was analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques which results in showing a positive relationship between social support and optimism with happiness at Mustahiq with significance value of. 000 which means smaller of. 05. Social support provided an effective contribution to happiness of 30.3% and optimism by 15.5%. This study reveals that high social support and optimism can help mustahiqiq achieve happiness in his life. Therefore, the institution of Amil Zakat is expected to continue to improve the social support given at Mustahiq, especially in giving attention and assistance that is directly perceived by Mustahiq.

The purpose of this study is to see the relationship between self-efficacy and social support with coping stress on horticulture farmers. The study was conducted in Saribudolok sample random sampling with 160 horticultural farmers for vegetable farmers as sample. The methods of data collections is through coping stress scale (focused coping stress), self-efficacy scale, and social support scale (sosial support). The data analysis technique used multiple regression with the following results: 1) There is a positive relationship between self-efficacy with coping stress with Rxy = 0,464 with p 0,05; with 21.6% contribution 2) There is a positive relationship between social support relationship with coping stress with Rxy = 0,180 with p 0,05; with 3.2% contribution 3) There is a positive relationship between self-efficacy and social support with coping stress with F 23,072 and Rxy = 0,477 while R2 = 0,227 with p 0,05. The total effective contribution of self-efficacy variables and social support with stress coping is 22.7%. This means that there is still 77.3% influence from other factors to coping stress

Thesis is a requirement for students to get a bachelor's degree which is often a scary and difficult phase that raises anxiety for students. This anxiety raises physical, behavioural and cognitive responses. Therefore the need for social support. Social support provided by the closest people, is one of the factors that can significantly reduce the negative effects of anxiety in preparing a thesis. This study aims to determine the contribution of social support to anxiety in preparing a thesis on students at the Buana Perjuangan Karawang University. The measuring instrument used in the study is the Social Support Scale and the Anxiety Scale. The sample in this study were 221 students from a population of 592 students at the University of Buana Perjuangan Karawang, which was obtained through the quota sampling technique. The results of a simple correlation analysis were obtained at 0.366 with p = 0,000 (p <0.05), meaning that there is a negative and significant contribution between social support for anxiety in preparing a thesis. This means that the higher the social support, the lower the anxiety in preparing a thesis. The effective contribution of social support to anxiety in preparing a thesis on students at the University of Buana Perjuangan Karawang was 13.4%. The level of anxiety of students in preparing a thesis is in the moderate category (mean = 60.90) and the level of social support is in the high category with (mean = 149.90). Keywords: Social support, Anxiety, Thesis.     Skripsi merupakan syarat bagi siswa untuk mendapatkan gelar sarjana yang sering merupakan fase menakutkan dan sulit yang menimbulkan kecemasan bagi siswa. Kecemasan ini menimbulkan respons fisik, perilaku, dan kognitif. Karena itu perlunya dukungan sosial. Dukungan sosial yang diberikan oleh orang terdekat, adalah salah satu faktor yang dapat secara signifikan mengurangi efek negatif dari kecemasan dalam mempersiapkan tesis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi dukungan sosial terhadap kecemasan dalam mempersiapkan tesis pada mahasiswa di Buana Perjuangan Universitas Karawang. This study aims to determine the relationship between family social support and meaningfulness of life in the elderly in Kebandungan Village. The hypothesis proposed in this study is that there is a positive relationship between family social support and meaningfulness of life in the elderly who live in Kebandungan Village. The subject of this study is the elderly aged >60 (sixty years and over) who have a family including a husband, wife, siblings, children and grandchildren, both living in one house or separately. The number of subjects in this study were 65 elderly. Data collection was carried out using meaningfulness of life Scale and Family Social Support Scale. The data analysis method used is the Pearson Product Moment Correlation analysis. Based on the results of the study, obtained a correlation coefficient (rxy) = 0.397 with p = 0.01 (p <0.05) which means there is a positive relationship between family social support and meaningfulness of life. The coefficient of determination (R Squared) is equal to (R2) = 0.158, which means that the effective contribution to family social support is 15.8%, so the remaining 84.2% is influenced by other factors, namely personal understanding, acting positively, deepening tri values (creative value, appreciation value, attitude value), and worship.

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the strength of the relationship between a retrospective evaluation of the experienced social support given by grandparents and the material status of the family with the quality of life of the grown-up grandchildren in families of different structures. The formulated expectations have been verified with the Social Support Scale (SSS), Student’s Life Satisfaction Scale (SLSS) and an individual personal survey. The obtained results show that in families of single mothers, the emotional and informative support offered by grandparents was a significant factor improving the quality of the life of the grandchildren. In a complete family, however, the significant forms of support from grandparents were esteem support and its other forms, except for informative support. Moreover, the material wealth of the original family was shown to be an important predictor of the evaluation of the quality of life of the grandchildren; it was judged more negatively by adolescent children of single mothers.

ABSTRACT Objective: To investigate the functional capacity and its relationship with the level of social support to people affected by cerebrovascular accident. Methods: Cross-sectional and quantitative research, conducted with 108 individuals with sequelae of cerebrovascular accident in João Pessoa/PB. Data were collected through interviews, using a sociodemographic instrument – the Barthel Index and the Social Support Scale. Results: We observed the prevalence of functional dependency in 93.5%, and the mild dependency stood out in 40.7%. Medium social support was the most found, with 48.2%. The predominant dimensions of social support were the material dimension, followed by the emotional. There was a significant association (p ≤ 0.05) between very serious dependency and high social support. Conclusion: The results found allow us to reflect on the need for involvement of health professionals in strengthening the social support of patients with disabling diseases, such as the cerebrovascular accident.

In this study, some variables were analysed for high school students ‘perceptions of social support’. The sample of this research was 200 students from various high schools. Yildirim (2004) was developed by the ‘Perceived Social Support Scale’ (ASDO-R) and the scale of human values that is created by Dilmac (2007). In the research, the relation between social support and values was defined meaningful. As a result of the study, it was found that there was a significant positive relationship between human values and perceived social support from peer, family and teachers. In the light of research findings, emphasised the importance of additive activities on perceived social support which are effective on coping with problems and suggestions for further researches was made.   Keywords: Human values, social support, high school student.

Purpose This study aims to ascertain the relationship between trustworthiness and students’ attitudes toward knowledge sharing. Design/methodology/approach For this study, the authors used the survey research design technique. Data were collected from students pursuing a degree in Business and Administration. Convenience sampling technique was used to select the participants. A total of 400 students participated in the study. Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the data. Findings The results show that trustworthiness, integrity, benevolence and ability have a positive relationship with students’ attitudes toward knowledge sharing. Originality/value Studies investigating the relationship between trustworthiness and students’ attitudes toward knowledge sharing is rare, especially in Ghana.

The purpose of this research is to find out whether there is a relationship between social support and motivation to become a cosplayer in COSMIC (cosplayer Minang Community) in Padang. The independent variable in this study is social support and the dependent variable is the motivation to be a cosplayer. The measuring instrument used in this study is the scale of social support and the motivation scale of being a cosplayer. The population in this study amounted to 47 people. The sample technique in this study used a saturated sampling technique. Saturated sampling is a sampling technique if all members of the population are used as samples. Samples in this study amounted to 47 people. Test the validity and reliability using Technique Cronbach Alpha. The item different power index on the social support scale moves from 0.337 to 0.793, while the motivation scale becomes a cosplayer moves from 0.330 to 0.741. The reliability coefficient on the social support scale is 0.890, while the reliability coefficient on the motivation scale becomes cosplayer at 0.893. Hypothesis test results show the correlation coefficient of 0.296 with a significant level p = 0.043 means that there is a significant relationship between social support and motivation to become cosplayers in Padang, with the effective contribution of social support to motivation to become cosplayers in Padang by 9% and 91% influenced other factors. So there is a relatively low relationship between social support variables and the motivation to become cosplayers

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between family social support and self-acceptance in Islamic boarding school students. This research is a quantitative study with a cluster random sampling technique, with a total of 112 subjects who attend Islamic boarding schools in Tidore archipelago. Data collection in this study used a self-acceptance scale and a family social support scale. The analytical method used is a statistical method with product moment analysis techniques based on the IBM SPSS 23.0 for windows program. The results in this study indicate a very significant relationship between family social support and self-acceptance of Islamic boarding school students, indicated by a value of r = 0.673 p = 0.000 (p <0.01) the higher the family social support, the higher the self-acceptance of Islamic boarding school students.
