This research is a case study. The purpose of this study was to determine the process of implementing a flipped classroom for English course and analyse students’ perceptions of the implementation of the Flipped Classroom in teaching English for the nursing students of Nursing Academy of Kesdam Iskandar Muda Banda Aceh. The participant in this study were 50 students of Nursing Academy of Kesdam Iskandar Muda Banda Aceh in the academic year 2020/2021. They consist of 4 male students and 46 female students. Data collection methods in this study are lecturer’s observation checklist, teacher’s fieldnote and questionnaires. Lecturer's observation checklist in the form of a checklist for implementing the flipped classroom strategy at each meeting. Lecturer’s fieldnote is some notes that found while flipped classroom was implemented.  Questionnaires are used to obtain results from student opinions and student experiences in Flipped Classroom. More than half of students felt that Flipped classroom aided their English studies. Most of the students enjoyed the flipped classroom learning and believed that this method can support their learning. This implies that the method is still useful for EFL classroom of  ELT context. .

Background: A descriptive case study evaluated second-year undergraduate nursing students’ perception of simulations, comparing two curricula.Methods: Questionnaires were completed post-simulation by 658 students from the classes of 2013/2014 (old curriculum) and the class of 2015 (new curriculum).Results: The classes of 2013/2014 were more satisfied with the written information than the class of 2015 (mean of 3.83 vs 3.32, p < .001). The classes of 2013/2014 were also better prepared (mean of 3.44 vs 3.12, p < .001). A significant difference was found between the classes of 2013/2014 and 2015 regarding the benefit of the simulation (mean of 3.94 vs 4.16, p < .001). Moreover, the surgical group found simulating with the manikin more beneficial compared to the medical and mental health groups’ experience with role-play (mean of 4.33 vs 4.08 vs 4.11, p < .050). Finally, male students reported simulation as more beneficial than female students (mean of 4.30 vs 4.01, p < .005).Conclusions: Between-class differences emerged when the curriculum changed, and students found simulation with a manikin directly before clinical practice most beneficial.

This qualitative case study was carried out to identify the strengths and weaknesses of face to face and online teaching. The study group of the research study consisted of a total of 47 students attending a public university, 36 of whom are female and 11 of whom are male students. In the study, semi-structured interview form was used as the data collection tool. The data obtained within the scope of the research were analyzed by means of content analysis. When the findings were evaluated in general, it was seen that students mostly prefer face to face teaching. Besides it was also seen that both online and face to face teaching have strengths and weaknesses relative to each other. However, it has emerged that face to face teaching has more strengths than online learning. Although this view comes into prominence, online applications which are one of the important tools of accessing information in today's conditions, should also be used in the learning and teaching process. Especially in situations where face to face teaching is not available, online applications can be used as an important tool in order to establish the communication link between the learner and teacher and also to maintain learning.

This paper aims to shed light on the distinct challenges that Moroccan science-major postgraduates are facing, particularly at the end of their academic year, to publish their end-of-term projects in English. The article also uncovers certain weaknesses and misconceptions concerning the existing instructional methods. As an assistant professor with substantial experience teaching science-major students, a few alternative teaching practices will be discussed and recommended in the teaching of English in Moroccan universities, instead of the overused, traditional methods. In doing so, university students were interviewed and asked to rate some of what they thought were the best activities in English classes. As regards the research methodology, surveys and interviews were conducted first hand. The questionnaires were structured in advance with students who attend English classes. Through this instrument, data was collected on the students’ attitudes and their vision of the best practices in English classes, in particular when teaching English for Specific Purposes (ESP). The students showed a great preference for English for Specific Purposes over general English lessons due to the scientific nature of their studies, hence jobs. Also, because these lessons are taught at university level, the participants expressed favorable views about debates and open discussions. These and other findings aim at enriching the literature on education at tertiary levels and on the field of ESP.

This article presents an educational experience with 30 high school students based on the flipped classroom methodology and inquiry-based learning on aspects related to the pathophysiology of the digestive system during the 2017/2018 academic year. The main goal of this study was to investigate the effectiveness and acceptability of the flipped classroom approach at this educational level. This case study was also used to assess the level of inquiry competence that high school students present when they have to carry out a research project and the main difficulties encountered in carrying it out. The results of the study show that the experience was clearly positive, since there was not only a significant improvement in student learning but also greater autonomy for students to work with the content, prepare for classes and actively participate in the tasks or practical activities that take place in the classroom, demonstrating its applicability in high school classrooms. The results also indicate that the students perceived advantages in their learning after experiencing the flipped classroom pedagogical model. Most of the students presented serious difficulties in carrying out their research work, probably due to a lack of experience when facing each of the stages that make up the process of inquiry.

This study provided a novel flipped classroom model with a detailed combination of in-class and out-of-class activities to teach a Vietnamese-English Translation module. The study aimed to (1) provide an in-depth insight into how the model was actually implemented in a specific scenario to make the teaching-learning process more interesting and meaningful, and (2) investigate the effectiveness of the flipped classroom model towards learners’ translation performance through various assessments. 39 English-majored juniors at Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam participated in the study during the second semester of the 2018-2019 academic year. The study implemented a case-study mixed method design, applying assessment analysis and content analysis of one specific learning scenario to clarify how the flipped learning model contributed to the training process. Results show that a careful design of the flipped model contributed to the relevant literature on how to implement flipped learning in actual classroom settings, but also effectively improved learners’ performance in translation studies.

he purpose of this study was to improve science learning outcomes on the structure and function of plant networks in class VIII students of MTsN 2 Aceh Besar in the 2017/2018 academic year. The learning model used in this study is the Mind Mapping Learning Model. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII MTsN 2 Aceh Besar with a total of 33 students consisting of 13 male students and 20 fe-male students. This research was conducted in the 2017/2018 Academic Year within a period of 3 months, namely from August 2017 to October 2017 in Odd Semester. The research methodology is Classroom Action Research (CAR) consisting of two cycles and each cycle consisting of two meetings. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The research procedure con-sisted of pre-research, planning cycle one, implementing action cycle one, observing cycle one, reflect-ing cycle one, planning cycle two, implementing action cycle two, observing cycle two and reflecting cycle two. The data collection technique is to collect test scores that are carried out at the end of each lesson in each cycle using a question instrument (written test). Observation data was carried out by look-ing at the activeness of teachers and students during the learning process. The learning outcome data were analyzed by means of percentage statistics, while the observation data were analyzed by means of a Likert scale. The results showed that there was an increase in the completeness of student learning outcomes from 39.39% in the pre-cycle increased to 60.60% in Cycle I and increased to 87.87% in Cy-cle II. Observation of teacher activity during PBM has increased from a total score of 88 good categories in Cycle I, increasing to a total score of 93 good categories in Cycle II. The application of the Mind Mapping learning model can improve science learning outcomes on the structure and function of plant tissue for class VIII students of MTsN 2 Aceh Besar for the 2017/2018 academic year.

This research is a descriptive correlative study. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect and relationship of English extracurricular activities (English Club) on the English learning achievement of nursing students. This research took place at the Academy of Nursing Kesdam Iskandar Muda Banda Aceh. The population in this study were all students of the Academy of Nursing Kesdam Iskandar Muda Banda Aceh. The samples are students of 2018/2019 who take part in English extracurricular activities as many as 50 students. Data collection methods in this study are the documentation and the questionnaire. Documentation is used to obtain data about the names and number of students who become research respondents. The questionnaire was used to find out students' opinions about English extracurricular activities. The data was analysed in term of percentage by using statistic descriptive SPSS 16.0 and Ms Excel 2013. The results of this study are the researchers found that the average value of students' perceptions reached 82.3% which means students strongly agree with the existence of English language extracurricular activities to support the improvement of their English learning achievement. The data is strengthened by the results of documentation of students' English grades. From the results of the analysis showed that English extracurricular activities proved to have an effect on students' English learning achievement.
