The present paper explores issues concerning Senior High School students’ teaching and understanding of concepts and laws, related to the rotation of a solid body around a fixed axis of rotation, through a properly designed experimental type of teaching intervention, that incorporates custom-made educational material and utilizes ICT. Through an interdisciplinary-exploratory approach of teaching, the alternative ideas of 143 high school students, aged 16-17, were initially identified. The students were divided into a control group and an experimental one and completed a suitably designed questionnaire before and after the didactic interventions. The interventions aimed at investigating the extent to which the experimental student group alternative ideas, taught through an experimental scientific approach, changed compared to the ideas of the students of the control group, who were taught the same subjects in a conventional way. The results, obtained from a quantitative and qualitative analysis of questionnaires and interviews, indicate an improvement of the experimental student group understanding, in relation to the concepts of rotational movement. Additionally, they indicate the development of a positive attitude towards the experimental procedure, applied throughout the intervention, as opposed to that of the control group, where the teaching was carried out in a conventional way.

The goal of this study was to see whether task-based instruction could enhance EFL students' writing fluency and accuracy. Sixty grade 11 students from two complete classrooms at Dai An High School in Tra Vinh Province, Vietnam, participated in this research. The experimental group was taught to write essays using task-based training, whereas the control group was trained using product-based training. Writing skills were assessed before and after the exam. The fourteen-week intervention with task-based training showed significant improvements in post-test scores for the experimental group. The current study also developed a fresh and innovative teaching strategy to help local teachers enhance their performance.

Adolescence is a time when someone has negative behavior, a difficult phase for children and parents. Emotional imbalance and instability in many ways manifest itself at this time. Emotional inconsistency in adolescents causes adolescents to act responsively such as aggressive, rebellious, stubborn, annoying behavior, which results in social problems in interacting with those around them. The aggressive behavior of students in schools has become a universal problem, and is likely to increase recently. The purpose of this study was to see the application of group counseling to decrease the aggressive behavior of high school students. Another objective of the study is to examine the differences in the application of group counseling before and after treatment. Purposive sampling and aggressive scales were used in this experiment, to obtain 20 samples consisting of 10 students in the control group and 10 students in the experimental group at SMP Negeri 13 Surabaya who were recorded as having committed aggression at school. The rule used is a quantitative approach to analyzing data. The results of the field survey showed that students often protested and disrespected teachers, cursed, cursed, made chaos, made noise, said indecent words, and lied. By utilizing group dynamics, the authors provide group counseling interventions to reduce students' aggressive behavior. From the results of the study, it is proven that group counseling has an effect on decreasing aggressive behavior of junior high school students.

This study aims to test the effectiveness of self-efficacy training to improve confidence in making career decisions (CDMSE) and achievement motivation (N-Ach) in 60 high school students. Through experimental approaches, obtained by 30 students as the experimental group and 30 students as a control group. Data were collected through questionnaires tests before and after the test, which is then analyzed by t-test. As the results of pre-test and post-test on a scale CDMSE test for the experimental group obtained probability value of 0.000 (p <0.05), which means that the hypothesis of no effect of self-efficacy training to CDMSE acceptable. so that self-efficacy training gives pangaruh to decision making career in high school students to determine the level of studies. And the results of the analysis of pre test and post test N-Ach-scale test in the experimental group obtained probability value of 0.000 (p <0.05), which means that in the experimental group there are differences in the results of pre-test to post-test. So the hypothesis that there is the influence of self-efficacy training to N-ach proven.

Out-Hospital Cardiac Arrest (OHCA) is a cardiac arrest event that occurs outside the hospital. Patients who experience OHCA rely on the community to provide support as the closest person when the attack occurs. The simulation training method is considered as one of the most effective and most frequently used methods for teaching CPR actions. In the implementation of the simulation needed appropriate media in the form of phantom that has been designed in such a way as to resemble the human condition. Phantom media is considered more expensive and less efficient when used as outdoor media, so this study provides an alternative substitute media in the RJP training simulation in the form of Polkesban Compression simulator. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a pretest and postets group design approach, aimed at identifying the effect of the Polkesban Compression Simulator on the Ability to Perform RJP in High School Students in the city of Tangerang. The study was conducted in June - November 2019 with a population of high school students in Tangerang City. The sampling method used was consecutive sampling totaling 50 people. The results showed there was an increase in ability in each intervention and control group, and there were significant differences in the measurements before and after the intervention (P value 0,000). In the statistical test of the two groups, the p value was 0.016 (P value ≤ 0.005), so it can be concluded that there were significant mean differences between the phantom group and PKS group, where the average PKS group was higher than the Phantom group.

AbstractIn Recent studies underline the fact that adolescents are, at many times, likely to experience serious communication problems with their families and close environments. So, the aim of this study is to determine positive impact of sport-related games, which are performed as extracurricular activities, on high school students’ communication skills. In the study, pre, & post-tests was utilized with the control group’s experimental patterns. Two participant groups were made up of totally 30 high school students, 15 of whom would be in the experimental group and the rest of whom were in the control group. The former group was given sport- related 20 applications for 10 weeks during which the latter group would not deal with any extracurricular activities. Meanwhile, before and after the applications, data was collected by means of “The Communication Skills Scale” which was developed by Korkut (1996) and then analysed through “two-way ANCOVA” test techniques. Results clarify that the considerable gap in scores of the students’ pre, & post-tests perception concerning their communication skills are clearly attributed to sport-related games and it was also established that scores of the students in the experimental group were meaningfully higher than ones in the control group. However, perception of communication skills in the both groups was not significantly different by sex of the students. Moreover, the common effect of sex and participation on sport- related games was not found statistically meaningful in terms of communication skills. Consequently, it could be said that sport-related games impact positively communication skills.

Purpose This study sought to determine the extent to which experimentally induced positive attitudes in high school students in a previous investigation were maintained 7 years later. Method Authors and assistants recruited 36 adults in their early 20s (Follow-up group) who, in high school, had witnessed either a live oral talk by a person who stutters or a professionally made video on stuttering designed for teens followed by a short talk by the same speaker. The Public Opinion Survey of Human Attributes–Stuttering was administered before and after the interventions in high school and 7 years later such that pre–post group comparisons were made. Previously, the Follow-up group had demonstrated highly positive changes in their attitudes after the interventions. In addition, a control group of 56 former high school students from the same state, who did not participate in the interventions, were recruited and compared to the Follow-up group. Results The Follow-up group, which was found to be representative of the original high school cohort, held more positive Public Opinion Survey of Human Attributes–Stuttering mean ratings than the Control group, although somewhat less positive than their previous postintervention ratings. Conclusions The Follow-up group maintained many of the positive changes in their beliefs and self reactions regarding stuttering that were induced 7 years earlier after witnessing personal stories and facts about stuttering.
