A factor analysis of responses from 293 Georgia high school business education teachers to the 100-item long-form Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire yielded two factors, Intrinsic Satisfaction and Extrinsic Satisfaction, accounting for 51.4 and 11.1%, respectively, of the common variance. Four items (3 previously identified as Intrinsic and 1 as Extrinsic) loaded .37 or higher on both factors, suggesting that satisfaction may be a function of interaction of personal and context variables, consistent with the concept of social compensation.

A factor analysis of responses from 44 white female teachers to the 40-item Bern Sex-role Inventory yielded two factors, Masculinity and Femininity accounting for 20.7 and 16.2%, respectively, of the common variance. Of the 40 items 28 performed as hypothesized, suggesting sound construct validity for the total scales. 12 adjectives and phrases (gullible, flatterable, athletic, and ambitious, among others) were not perceived as associated with masculine or feminine roles, suggesting that perceptions of traditional sex roles are changing.

On a sample of 243 pupils from the first and second year of secondary school, the reliability and factor structure scale of the newly designed JUS-ques- tionnaire for the measurement of general school self-concept of young people, as well as their self-concept in specific subjects, was testedOn the basis of the obtained reliability co-efficients (type Cronbach—Alpha) it was established that all the scales in the questionnaire had satisfactory reliability. The factor analysis showed two factors, flinguistic—historical and mathematical —physical) which explains 57.44% of the common variance of all the results.

This paper studies the economic performance of 19 OECD countries. Eight economic variables are selected to describe the economic performance which are incorporated into two factors afterwards by factor analysis. The relations among the variables and that between factors and variables are analysed. A comparative study is made, based on the factor scores of these 19 countries; and the countries are classified into 5 categories using cluster analysis, according to their similarities in the variables and the extracted factors. The common characteristics of the countries with similar economic performances on the two factors are discussed. The paper presents an outline of the nations’ economic performance during this period. It is quite interesting, as a by-product finding, that the countries sharing the economy similarities also have the geographical communalities.

Two samples of students completed the short form of the Beck Depression Inventory under different conditions. One sample completed the items embedded within the full scale, while the other sample completed only the items in the short form. Identical methods of factor analysis produced different factor patterns for the two samples. For the embedded items, three interpretable factors were derived, and the first two factors resembled results of previous analyses of the long form. Analysis of the other sample produced three new factors, indicating that the short form may be measuring different dimensions than the long form.

The authors have investigated a sample of 283 3th and 4th grade students in secondary schools of Zadar where they tested the reliability and factor structure of ROU-questionnairc scale measuring classroom psycho-social study atmosphere. On the basis the obtained reliability coefficients (type Cronbach- alfa) the authors established that all scales included in the questionnaire had a satisfactory reliability. Two factors were extracted from the factor analysis and they were: 1. factor of individualisation and personal development and 2. factor of satisfaction with relationship in the class which gave explanation to 52.17 % of common variance of all the results.

To date, the Intentions to Seek Counseling Inventory (ISCI; Cash et al., 1975) is the most widely used instrument used to measure psychological help-seeking intentions. However, the ISCI has yet to be validated with international students. In this study, we examined the dimensionality and reliability of the Intentions to Seek Counseling Inventory by performing exploratory factor analysis, Cronbach alpha reliability analysis, and split-half reliability analysis with a sample of international students (N = 183). We found a two-factor, 15-item assessment that explained 49.92% of the common variance. Our findings provide support for the use of ISCI with international students, albeit with different dimensionality. Implications of the findings for both research and practice are discussed.

Kata kunci: Kepuasan kerja, Analisis Faktor, Pengemudi Ojek Online Syar’i. ABSTRACTSyarihub is the pioneer of Indonesia's online ride hailling service for women and children and hiring women riders. Syarihub comes from the need of society, especially muslim women who find it difficult to find a secure and comfortabel transportation that at the same time enable them to keep herself separated from the opposite gender. This study aims to find out determinant factors are influencing job satisfaction’s female online motorcycle taxi drivers who work in Syarihub. This study is an explorative quantitative research by collecting data using an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The research subjects were online Syarihub motorcycle taxi drivers who work in Surabaya totaling 50 people.  Data collected using Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ). The data analysis technique used in this study is a factor analysis technique with a descriptive analysis stage that provides an overview of the data held. The results showing that the determinants factors are influencing job satisfaction of Syarihub motorcycle taxi drivers consist of compensation factor, human relations supervisory factor, working conditions factor, corporate policy factors and implementation, variation factors, social status factors. The conclusion of the study illustrates that the optimal six factors will increase job satisfaction of Syarihub motorcycle taxi riders. Keywords: Job satisfaction, Factor Analysis, female online motorcycle taxi riders.

Factor analysis was performed on the Beck Depression Inventory with a university sample to examine its potential multidimensionality. A principal components analysis with an oblimin and varimax rotation produced a two-factor solution. These factors were labeled Cognitive–Affective and Physiological and accounted for approximately 39% of the common variance. This finding is consistent with multidimensionality of the inventory and with a similar study of college students. The commonalities of the two studies suggest the reliability (internal consistency) of the Cognitive-Affective and Physiological constructs among “minimally” depressed university samples.
