Factoring is a nonbank financial institution which meets the financing needs of the enterprises and minimizes the non-payment risk and stock financing which is based on the bank loans are two alternative financing techniques that enables collateral and collection and financing to SME’s, suppliers and commercial enterprises. These two methods are important in terms of the advantages they provide to vendors and suppliers. Reducing the non-payment risk, securing liquidity to business, minimizing the risk level of sales by making them safer and increasing competition power on the market are among the advantages. Stock financing is another method which is much more recent than factoring became a current issue in 2000’s and developed to minimize non-payment risk and provide cash flow on the basis of bank loan. In Turkey, this method is only applicable to automotive industry for now. This method emerges as an advantageous method for businesses experiencing difficulties in financing, inability to collect their receivables, and the inability to deplete their inventories. With the stock financing method, car dealers have affordable and easy credit facilities in order to make payments to the main supplier in exchange for their existing inventories. The aim of this study is to compare factoring and stock financing method and revealing the advantageous and disadvantageous points of two alternative methods.

Fatigue due to environmental conditions is studied on a top-tensioned riser. The fatigue is due to two factors. First, the waves produce a displacement of the top of the riser, which excites the structure. Secondly, currents create vortices behind the structures. The phenomenon is then referred to as vortex-induced vibrations (VIV), whereby the vortices can lock onto a structural mode through the shedding frequency. In the present paper, we have two objectives. The first is to compare the fatigue estimates given either by a modal analysis or by Navier-Stokes calculations for a riser in a current. The second is to determine if studying the wave and current effects separately produces conservative results or if they must be studied together.

In Pakistan, construction and demolition waste(CDW) is generated in voluminous amount each year. CDW iswidely ill-handled and ultimately fed to landfills causing harm tothe already alarming environmental conditions. In order tosearch for the solution of this drastic matter, a study was done, which is explained in this paper. This paper presents the studydone at a demolition site near Karachi, in Sindh while thedemolition works were being carried out. At the site there wereold barracks which were being demolished. Before the demolitionworks were commenced, the site was surveyed and structuralcomponents of the barracks were counted and their dimensionswere measured. When the demolition was over, the demolishedwaste was calculated which comprised of concrete and masonryrubble, steel round bars, steel doors, steel windows, steel ceiling, steel girders, steel main gate, and plastic water tank. This studyinterpreted that construction and demolition (C&D) works wereprogressing considering the works’ deadline and the clients’requirements but the ecosystem’s ecology and the environmentalhealth were not taken into account. Recommendations are madeto handle CDW properly throughout its lifecycle. Theserecommendations aim to provide technological and logicalsolutions to grip CDW. The recommendations include wastereduction and reusing waste, life cycle assessment and costing, environmental and economic impact, material flow analysis, andadvanced computerized-tools.

Abstract We present in this study the analysis of a current issue through the reality represented in fiction and reality mediated in information. Due to the nature of the object of study - the Spanish sitcom- conducted a case study so that we can compare the treatment that the proposed topic in the media, particularly in the press, in front of the way to put in chapters of the series. To analyze this we considered advisable to conduct a qualitative visual narrative analysis a subject closely related to current period arising in this study and is present in the series analyzed: 7 vidas and Aquí no hay quien viva. The theme is the implementation of the anti-smoking law 28/2005 of December 26 and was picked up by two sitcoms in the first chapter that issued in the same month of the enactment of the law. Palabras claveRepresentación, series de televisión, prensa, análisis cualitativo, 7 vidas, Aquí no hay quien viva.KeysworksRepresentation, spanish television fiction, press, qualitative analysis, 7 vidas, Aquí no hay quien viva.

With the increasing demands for foods and other agriculture-based products, sustainable agricultural practices are the cornerstone for improving low-input agricultural production. In contrast to crop production, plant-microorganism interaction (PMI) plays a crucial role. PMI significantly raises productivity as well as maintaining the overall health of the crop. During harsh and extreme physiological conditions, plant-associated extremophilic microbes (PAEM) are known to contribute to crop production, survivability, and fitness. Thus, the application of extremophiles either in the form of biofertilizer or biopesticides is highly beneficial. Extremophiles have been adapted to withstand diverse harsh environmental conditions. They possess unique mechanisms at the molecular level to produce enormous potential extremozymes and bioactive compounds. Consequently, extremophiles represent the foundation of efficient and sustainable agriculture. This chapter introduces the significance and application of plant-associated extremophilic microbes in sustainable agriculture.
