Abstract Context:The impulse to write this contribution was the effort of co-authors to bring the European landscape ecologist closer to the development, research & didactic approaches and possible future development of landscape ecology in Mexico from the theoretical, metascientific and applied point of view. Purpose: The purpose of the metascientific approach, in this case meta-landscape ecological approach, is to increase the degree of generalization of existing empirical-methodological, theoretical-application and didactic knowledge and results of landscape-ecological research, so that generally valid landscapeecological regularities and principles can be determined The aim was to acquire new generalizing and holistic qualities and perspectives in the field of landscape ecology in Mexico at this level. Methods: The two-step methodical procedure was elaborated, using metascientifically oriented landscape ecological and ecological Mexican literature, complemented by our studies and personal experience. Results: In this way, new knowledge, representing the added value and meaning of landscape ecologicalevolution, research, education and future development in Mexico was gained. It will serve also to Mexican landscap ecologists. Conclusiones: Mexican landscape ecology, lying at the intersection of European and American landscape ecology, can be described as integrative, idiographic-nomothetic at the spatial level of the landscape in the contact zone of European and American research approaches and principles.

Background: The objective of this article is to analyse if there are significant relationships between the most valuable companies operating in Spain regarding professional performance, according to nationality and location within their Autonomous Communities or any superior aggrupation. To do that, a sample of 100 companies has been selected. Methods: The methodology followed is based on the selection of the 100 highestvalued companies from the point of view of Human Resources’ policy for the period 2013-2016 and through the measurement of six factors: Talent Management, Retribution, Work environment, CSR, Training and Employees’ perception, and classified by nationality and location. The study was based on 12 hypotheses, using the Unifactorial Variance’s Analysis, Pearson correlations and regressions. One limitation could be the fact that this study refers to a particular period, focusing on Spain and the variables mentioned, based on questionnaires. The added value of this work lies on the newness as it has a quantitative character, and on the fact that most of the hypotheses do not comply. Results and Conclusion: This allows to deny certain beliefs that affirm that European and American companies operating in Spain are more attractive than the Spanish or the Mediterranean ones.

On January 4th 2007 TIGF published the following invitation for tenders: “Development and Provision of a Pipeline Integrity Management System”. The project was awarded to Bureau Veritas (BV), who proposed to meet the requirements of TIGF with the Threats and Mitigations module of the PiMSlider® suite extended with some customized components. The key features of the PiMSlider® suite are: • More than only IT: a real integrity philosophy, • A simple intuitive tool to store, display and update pipeline data, • Intelligent search utilities to locate specific information about the pipeline and its surrounding, • A scalable application, with a potentially unlimited number of users, • Supervision (during and after implementation) by experienced people from the oil and gas industry. This paper first introduces TIGF and the consortium BV – ATP. It explains in a few words the PIMS philosophy captured in the PiMSlider® suite and focuses on the added value of the pipeline Threats and Mitigations module. Using this module allows the integrity analyst to: • Prioritize pipeline segments for integrity surveillance purposes, • Determine most effective corrective actions, • Assess the benefits of corrective actions by means of what-if scenarios, • Produce a qualitative threats assessment for further use in the integrity management plan, • Optimize integrity aspects from a design, maintenance and operational point of view, • Investigate the influence of different design criteria for pipeline segments. To conclude, TIGF presents the benefits of the tool for their Integrity Management department and for planning inspection and for better knowledge of their gas transmission grid.

The article deals with some directions of the research and educational policy development. The correlation of approaches to the development of the strategic academic leadership program and the world-class research and educational centers establishing, centers of competence development is analyzed. Engineering knowledge and technology are at the heart of the modern economy. Engineering methods, approaches, and technologies have permeated medicine, biology, agriculture, chemistry, and the development of new materials. Understanding the directions of technological development determines the prospects for creating and using new products. further development of the issue related to the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies in the engine-building industry from the point of view of legal regulation will allow to consolidate the official legal status of such technologies at the legal level and regulate the algorithm and delimit the use of artificial intelligence technologies. The analysis of responses to the big challenges of scientific and technological development and the exhaustion of economic growth opportunities, the formation of the digital economy and the risks of reducing human resources. The development of international accreditation procedures is proposed. Family businesses are considered as an important source of economic development and growth in that they create added value by providing new products, processes and technologies. Family businesses, where family values and perspectives dominate, have begun to experience problems in adapting to such a structure in the global economy, where the rate of change has increased, and the competition is intense. In the process of restructuring, entrepreneurial orientation is vital for these businesses. From this point of view, the aim of this chapter is to define family business, to explain their characteristics and to show the two perspectives on the entrepreneurial orientation of family businesses. The concept of “family entrepreneurship” and “transgenerational entrepreneurship” is also mentioned in the chapter. In relation to what is told in the chapter, how a conservative structure has been opened to the market by its third generation, a family business in Turkey that is going through its third generation and the innovations brought about by the new generation compose the case study.

Personalization is becoming a mandatory requirement in Web-based Education and long distance learning in general, representing a flexible way of learning the exact amount of knowledge to reach a given learning goal. This approach saves time and money and it is particularly suited for life-long learning. The drawback is that the teacher has to produce some effort to prepare didactic material and while research in this field proposes several intelligent systems providing personalization with advanced didactic strategies, teacher’s point of view is less considered. In this chapter we extend our previous work that aimed to build an adaptive system for education called LS-Plan, taking into account both teacher’s and student’s needs. In particular we carried out a comprehensive evaluation of the system embedded into an Adaptive Educational Hypermedia called Lecomps5, in order to experiment and prove the added value of the system.

In practice, it is always amazing to observe that companies do not have sufficient personnel planning. However, it is also just as astonishing that the working human being in the value-added work-sharing process still does not receive the acknowledgment that is actually due to him as the only new value-adding factor in connection with nature. In contrast,the capital endowed by the dominant bourgeois economy is merely a derivative factor of production, and the neoclassical marginal productivity theory completely bypasses economic reality. However, it is also a fact that the added value created by humans in production must always first be realized on the market. However, the risks that arise here do not necessarily affect only the owners of the capital but also the employees. They are general business risks and not just business risks.All of this is worked out in the first chapter of the article and made calculable and verifiable in the second chapter. On the basis of business-related (derived) added value, these include various key personnel policy indicators that reveal valuebased labor intensity and labor productivity as well as the distribution of added value in the wage and value added quota. In the third chapter of the article (Part 2 (4/2019)), the conditions for a labor demand (recruitment), but also for redundancies in a market-capitalist enterprise, and their influence are shown. This shows that the personnel plan is dependent on the sales, production and investment plan of a company and is also determined by political and legal measures. Annoying in the use of personnel is from the point of view of capital, the economically indeterminate employment contract. The fourth chapter deals with the determination of the quantitative and qualitative human resources needs. Here, special emphasis is placed on a practically never performed gross-net-bill as well as on a calculation of the gross and net working volume. Important in this context are dynamic input-output establishment plans. The final fifth chapter then deals with strategic personnel adjustments in corporate crisis situations to avoid possible redundancies.

From a clinical point of view, oxidative stress (OS) is considered the primary cause of numerous metabolic processes intransition cow.Thus, the addition of antioxidants has been considered a palliative or preventive treatment. But beyond the clinical perspective, antioxidant supplementation provides an added value to the product obtained being either milk or meat. This paper reviews the beneficial aspects that provide antioxidant supplementation on quality of both products and that fit into the new concept that the consumer has a functional and healthy food. Our approach is from a veterinary standpoint, by reviewing the studies conducted to date and the new perspectives that are interesting and need to be studied in the following years. One of the highlights is that sustainable farming, one in which production is combined with animal health, also impacts positively on the quality of the final products, with beneficial antioxidant properties to human health.

Taking “The Way Ahead” Report as a basis for discussion, the author examines one clinical field. Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, from the point of view of Occupational Therapy's future development within this speciality over the next ten years. The aim of clinical excellence in any field is to provide essential and appropriate therapy for that client group, whether in geriatrics, mental handicap, neurology, paediatrics, etc. By presenting the past, present and future development of this one field, the author hopes that this will stimulate discussion regarding planning in all clinical specialities and bases her views on four main areas, the clinical role of the Occupational Therapist, correct staffing and facilities, post registration studies and research.
