Seagrass bads is a variety of flora that lives on the sea coast. The objective of this project is to produce a new visual alternative for silk batik scarfs by visualizing Seagrasses bads which live under water; its illusion of motion, dimensions, and biodiversity. This research use design method consist of exploration process, extraction, and termination are described in four operational steps i.e. analysis, concept, visualization, and prototypes. The design is directed at new creative batik for premium products. The result was a silk batik scarfs made by Lorodan batik technique which was able to produce illusory effects and layered images which would offer a new visual sensation, differentiation, and novelty.

Based on sensory integration theory, six fabric samples containing tactile and visual stimuli were selected using the sensory perceptions of designers and combined with balls. Experiments involving these toys were implemented with 15 families with preschool-aged high-functioning autistic children. The results showed that (a) loose sequin (No. 15), which possessed equal tactile and visual intensities, was strongly correlated with frequent smiling/laughing and high enjoyment levels. The fabric provided a loose tactile sensation regarding surface interweave uniformity and a bright visual sensation regarding visually perceived luster; (b) suede (No. 5) exhibited a greater tactile intensity than visual intensity and was correlated with eye contact and activity response. This fabric possessed a smooth visual sensation regarding visually perceived smoothness; and (c) loose sequin (No. 15), which possessed equal tactile and visual intensities, was highly correlated with finger pointing and initiation. This fabric offered a thin tactile sensation regarding surface interweave thickness and a bright visual sensation regarding visually perceived luster. We suggest applying fabrics to composite toys. Specifically, loose sequin can be used initially to encourage autistic children to interact; subsequently, suede can enable sustained parent-child interaction. The experimental results provide a reference for establishing an innovative toy-design method for autistic children. Keywords: autism; sensory integration theory; parent-child interaction; toys

The aim of this study was to determine the formulation of bran and copra meal which produced the highest growth of Daphnia magna. The research use Complete Random Design method that consist of 5 treatments and repeated 3 times. All containers are filled with 2 liters of water with a density of Daphnia magna which is 20 ind/l. Treatment A: giving 100% bran, treatment B: giving 75% bran and 25%, copra meal, treatment C: giving 50% bran and 50% copra meal, treatment D: giving 25% bran and 75% copra meal and treatment E: giving 100% copra meal. The results showed that all treatments have a significant effect on population growth, but do not have on biomass production and death phase. Giving 50% bran and 50% copra meal is the best formulation compared to other treatments with a total density of 173,33 ind/l.

Samarinda State Polytechnic is one of the colleges in Samarinda consisting of several majors and courses, one of which is the Design Department, which consists of two courses, namely the Product Design and Architecture. Study Program Product Design and Architecture have each lecture building. Because the building Architectural studies program is still new, the need for a special desk Chairman of the Department of Design at the building. Work table design objectives are to complement the needs of furniture products in the existing Chairman of the Department of Architecture building. Another objective of this work table design that uses the concept of portable and removable systems in certain parts that can overcome the problems of space for office space and the narrow door, and prioritize the needs of users in terms of function and aesthetics. With a design method of among others; data collection, data analysis, concept or design specifications, design alternatives, the selected alternative development, as well as the final design, the final results obtained design concept portable workbench with a modern design style according to the needs and desires of the users. We make appropriate workbench and aesthetic functions are expected to help the daily office activities to the Chairman of Samarinda State Polytechnic School of Design, so as to create a better design.

Advances in information technology has developed very rapidly over the years requires us to always move forward and follow the developments. we are required to constantly innovate to face the competition is rapidly increasing nowadays. On Higher Education Prog particularly artificialconcentration of test runs informatics systems still use a written test, which the lecturer made the exam according to powerful subjects. This study proposes a new system that exam application about specific online student concentration Artificial Informatics in Higher Education Prog, which is based online, as for research use analysis method to the study of literature (source written or online) and design method with an analysis of the running system to detect existing problems. About the online application is a program that will show the development of the existing technology, in order to improve the effectiveness of the process in terms of generating online about simplify the process of test questions online, quicklyand accurately.

A tongue pressure unit for measurement of lingual strength and patterns of tongue pressure is described. It consists of a force displacement transducer, a single channel, direct writing recording system, and a specially designed tongue pressure disk, head stabilizer, and pressure unit holder. Calibration with known weights indicated an essentially linear and consistent response. An evaluation of subject reliability in which 17 young adults were tested on two occasions revealed no significant difference in maximum pressure exerted during the two test trials. Suggestions for clinical and research use of the instrumentation are noted.
