This research is conducted in purpose to identify types of idiomatic expressions found in “A Dog’s Journey” (2019) Movie Script. The researchers used Lim’s theory (2004). The source of data was the script of movie entitled A Dog’s Journey. The methodology which used in this research was qualitative research which specifically referred to document content analysis method. Method of collecting the data was searching the movie, downloading, watching and understanding the whole movie. After collecting the data, the researchers did data preparation, data reading, data confirmation, and calculation as the data analysis. After investigating the types of idiomatic expressions found in A Dog’s Journey (2019) movie, the researchers found 36 idiomatic expressions. The idiomatic expressions in A Dog’s Journey (2019) movie have been analyzed in types; there were 17 phrasal verbs with percentage 47,2%, 3 phrasal prepositional phrase with percentage 8,3%, 3 prepositional phrase with percentage 8,3%, 3 idioms with noun as keywords and  with percentage 8,3% , 5 idioms with verb as keywords and  with percentage 13,8%, 4 idioms with adjective as keywords and with percentage 11,1% and 1 idiomatic pairs with percentage 2,7%. The conclusion of this research was the dominant of idiomatic expression used in A Dog’s Journey (2019) movie is phrasal verb.

This study is an attempt to find out the classification and the semantic meaning of the idiomatic expression found in Gita Wirjawan’s speeches regarding economic growth viewed by Adam Makkai Theory. The source of data was taken from the script of the speech video collection of  Gita Wirjawan’s about economic growth. This study falls under the qualitative research by employing the content analysis method. The researcher found 20 idiomatic expressions. There were 15 lexemic idioms and 5 sememic idioms. In the lexemic idiom, 10  phrasal verb idioms, 2 in tournure idioms, 3 in phrasal compound idioms, and 0 in pseudo idioms were found. Meanwhile, in the sememic idioms, 2 proverbial idioms,  1 familiar quotation, 1  institutionalized understatement and 1 institutionalized hyperbole were found.And after the idiomatic expressions  were  analyzed, it was proved that the idiomatic expression had  different meaning than the literal meaning of the word itself

This research is conducted to identify the idiom and its types in JoanneKathleen Rowling’s novel entitled Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone as wellas strategies used to translate them in the translation versionThe data of this descriptive qualitative research are idiomatic expressionsfound in the novel and its translation in Indonesian language. Documentationis used to collect the data. The data of this research are phrases or sentencesthat contain idiomatic expressions. Meanwhile, content analysis method isapplied for analyzing data in relation to their contexts. The result of this research shows that 140 idioms in 13 types were found in theEnglish novel from chapter 15 to chapter 17. Those thirteen types are phrasalverb (61.43%), prepositional phrase (13.57%), semi-opaque idiom (7.86%), noun phrase (5%), clause idiom (4.29%), idiom of comparison (2.86%), miscellaneous (1.43%), proverb (0.71%), adverb phrase (0.71%), adjectivephrase (0.71%), idiomatic pairs (0.71%), and simile (0.71%). Furthermore, there are three translation strategies used by the translator. Theyare translation using an idiom of similar meaning but dissimilar form, paraphrase, and omission. The researcher found that paraphrase is thehighest number with 134 idioms (95.7%). The second strategy is translation byusing an idiom of similar meaning but dissimilar form with 5 idioms (3.59%). Theless strategy used by the translator is translation by omission with only oneidiom (0.71%). It can be concluded that paraphrase is the most preferredstrategy used by the translator. It was used because she wants to deliver themessage of the text as natural as possible by using the most equivalentmeaning of the idiom in Indonesian

Background. In this research, we aimed to investigate the effects of outdoor camps on orienteering athletes. Methods. The study group consisted of 74 athletes (44 males and 30 females, aged 11.94 ± 1.32 years) who participated in Bolu outdoor camp on the 3 rd –13 th of August, 2015. Interview technique, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used as data collection tool and content analysis method was used for data analysis. Results. Demographic factors were interpreted after the analysis of the obtained data and three main research questions were discussed under the topics of the views of athletes about the concept of Orienteering which is an outdoor sport, themes and codes regarding the purpose of Orienteering by the students who participated in the outdoor camp, and themes and codes about the outcomes of Orienteering for the students who participated in outdoor camps. Conclusion. It is suggested that a policy must be developed within the Ministry of Youth and Sport and Sport Federations in order to disseminate more deliberate and more comprehensive outdoor education among young people and measures should be taken to provide extensive participation.

This study is focused on analysis of the politeness expressed by the main characters and supporting characters in “Beauty and the Beast” Movie. The objective of this study are to know the politeness expressed by the main characters; Beauty (Belle) and the Beast (Prince) and to know the politeness expressed by the supporting characters in “Beauty and the Beast” movie. This Study is qualitative research that used content analysis method. Technique of data analysis in this study is using descriptive qualitative. The result of analysis are the sum of expression of politeness in saying thank you are 8 expressions, in saying hello are 7 expression, in answer the saying hello are 2 expressions, in use ‘I’m sorry’ are 5 expression and of how to sound more polite are 5 expressions. The sum of all expression of politeness that expressed by the characters in “Beauty  and the Beast” movie are 27 expressions. Based on the discussion of the result of analysis, It can be concluded that expression of politeness is important in communication and it usually use in conversation when people in saying hello or greeting, when people answer the saying hello or greeting from others, when people ask with the sound more polite, and the last when people saying use ‘I’m sorry’ to refused and ignore something and ask to forgiven by other people. This study can be applied to conduct the learning material in teaching about the  English expression in conversation, especially expression of politeness.

ABSTRACT Objective: to describe the most important tools of ATLAS.ti Software and to associate them with the procedures of Thematic Content Analysis. Method: It is a theoretical reflection of the Content Analysis phases of Laurence Bardin, associating them with software tools Atlas.ti and showing its usefulness for data analysis in qualitative research. Results: historical contextualization and the available resources of Atlas.ti software with presentation of health research involving the phases of thematic content analysis. Final considerations: The Atlas.ti software assists in the accomplishment of the thematic content analysis being this promising association in health research.

This research aimed to describe the form of errors in using affixation in Indonesian Language paper written by Thai students. The data were words and sentences that contained errors. The research was qualitative research using content analysis method. This research used interactive model data analysis through three steps. Those were data reduction, presentation of data, as well as conclusion and verification. The results show that there are some errors; 72 errors in using affixation: 21 or 29% errors in prefix, 9 or 13% errors in suffix, 9 or 13% errors in confix, and 33 or 46% errors klofiks (combination of affixes). The error is caused by two factors; 7% of interlingual errors and intralingual factor including 7% of overgeneralization and 86% of ignorance of rule restriction. However, the results also show that Thai students have not mastered or understood the structure of Indonesian language. The results can be used to develop the techniques of teaching Indonesian structure, especially the use of affixation. Therefore, the Thai students can improve the ability to use Indonesian language by channeling it in academic writing.

The Nurul Yaqin book is one of the yellow books that tell the history of the journey and struggle of the Prophet Muhammad SAW in spreading Islam. In the book, many stories are told about the joys and sorrows of the Prophet and his companions in the mission of spreading Islam. There are also many descriptions of essential and historical events that have become the treasures of Muslims. One of the efforts to connect the chain of the Prophet's struggle is to teach this book again with methods and media that are fun to students. The use of instructional media is expected to help students capture their imagination, increase their enthusiasm, spark their enthusiasm and provoke their creativity in studying historical books. This research is library research with a qualitative research approach. The data collection method uses the documentary study method. The data analysis method used is the content analysis method. The purpose of this study is to help teachers make it easier for students to accept and understand the contents of the Nurul Yaqin book by utilizing learning media in the form of pictures and maps.

Zapin Siak dance is a traditional Malay dance which has been cultured, lived, and developed in line with human life from time to time. Zapin Siak dance is danced by two male dancers taking parallel position in a form of motion which generally uses a lot ofThis is a qualitative research using a content analysis method, known as content analysis. The object of research was Zapin Siak Dance in Kampung Dalam Subdistrict, Siak District, Siak Regency, Riau Province. The data used were primary and secondary data. The data were collected through literature study, observation, interview, and documentation. The research instrument used was the researcher itself and was assisted by writing instruments, cameras, and flash drives. The data analysis was done by describing and interpreting various movements of the Zapin Siak dance. It refers to the elements of motion: the head, body, hands, andThe results show that the movement structure of Zapin Siak Dance in Siak District, Siak Regency, Riau Province, consists of 22 kinem elements, 22 morphokinem elements, 7 motif elements, and one overall dance form, namely Zapin Siak dance. <em>The aims of this research are to describe: (1) the use of diction in the lyrics of the song album Don’t Make Me Sad by Letto; (2) the existence of imagery in the lyrics of the song Don’t Make Me Sad by Letto; (3) the dominant style of language in the lyrics of the song album Don’t Make Me Sad by Letto; (4) the value of character education in the lyrics of the song album Don’t’ Make Me Sad by Letto; and (5) the relevance with the teaching materials of literature for senior high school students. This research is descriptive qualitative research using content analysis method. The source of data in this research is the lyrics of the song album Don’t Make Me Sad by Letto and the result of interview with informants. The technique of taking the sample used in this research was purposive sampling. The technique of collecting the data in this research was data analysis and interview with the informants. This research uses source triangulation and method triangulation to validate the data. The researcher uses interactive analysis method in this research. </em>

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memahami secara mendalam strategi kesantunan berbahasa Prancis dalam ketidaksetujuan pada diskusi politik di situs yahoo.fr. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pendekatan penelitian kualitatif. Data penelitian adalah komentar tidak setuju yang santun yang bersumber dari diskusi politik di situs yahoo.fr yang terbit dari bulan Maret sampai dengan April 2013. Data diunduh dari situs yahoo.fr yang dinalisis dengan metode analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa jenis strategi kesantunan berbahasa Prancis dalam ketidaksetujuan pada diskusi politik di situs yahoo.fr direalisasikan dalam 11 jenis dari kemungkinan 25 jenis strategi kesantunan berbahasa Brown dan Levinson. Ini disebabkan karena ruang lingkup penelitian yang kecil, yaitu strategi kesantunan berbahasa dalam ketidaksetujuan dan bukan ragam bahasa lisan, sedangkan acuan strategi kesantunan yang digunakan tidak terfokus pada strategi kesantunan dalam ketidaksetujuan saja, tapi juga santun dalam kesetujuan. Kemudian, acuan strategi itu berlaku untuk ragam bahasa lisan. The objetive of this research was to understand comprehensively the French politenessstrategies of the disagreement of the participants in the political discussiononthe website ofyahoo.fr. It was a qualitative research with a content analysis method conducted in Jakarta in 2013. The data analysis and interpretation indicates that the Frenchpolitenessstrategies of the disagreement of the participants wererealized in11strategies based on the 25 strategies of politeness of Brown and Levinson. It was caused by the domain of the research was too small. The using of the politeness strategies of Brown and Levinson was not only for the disagreement, but used for all situation of the communication.  And then, the research area was on the politeness of  writing but the area of the politeness strategies of Brown and Levinson was speaking.
