Harmony in religious life is an important phenomenon to note. Considering that several different religions have developed in Indonesia, it is necessary to apply the teachings of harmony theology. Community life under religious pluralism is not always harmonious. In daily life, several cases of disharmony of religious communities often occur. This disharmony occurs because of the lack of tolerance between religious people with one another. To bring back the attitude of tolerance, one needs to explore religious teachings. Thus, there is no longer a nerrow mind against Hindus. The theology of harmony in the Hindu perspective in this case seeks to provide teachings about the unity of mankind. In the Hindu perspective of harmony theology, every human being should respect his fellow human beings because they come from the same source, namely God. Harmony is a religious obligation and obedience to God, it is also a cultural guideline and customs. The synergy between the two has always greatly influenced people's perspectives and attitudes regarding various matters, including efforts to create a harmonious life in the midst of plurality.

This paper considers the question “What is a psychological unit?”. The ubiquity of units in daily life and in science is considered. The assumption that the individual human being or animal is the psychological unit is examined and rejected. The units represented by the data collected in operant laboratories are interpreted as a subset of the well-defined changes that individual human beings or animals can bring about. The departure of this interpretation from the traditional interpretation in terms of the behaviour of the organism is acknowledged. The paper concludes by noting the relation of the present interpretation of operant research to the problem of identifying psychological units.

At the beginning the authors present two opposing trends related to the understanding of the nature and the role of war in society: first, that these phenomena are embedded in the nature of human beings and humanity (which means that without war there is no human being, culture and civilization, its life, society or state, so war is natural and necessary for life); second, war is not embedded in human nature, is a distortion in community life and relations between people; this means that if wars occur, they show the degradation of human beings and society. These trends are observed in the eternal debate on war and the authors show numerous examples in which war is perceived in this way.

Abstract

Realizing tolerance (tasammuh), both among religious communities, interns of religious communities, as well as between religious communities and the government (Harmony Trilogy), an attitude of maturity in understanding the teachings of the religion it adopts is a prerequisite for adherents of each religion. In Hinduism it is always demanded to carry out the socialization of religious life toward brotherhood and friendship between fellow human beings. In Buddhism tolerance is a reflection of mental maturity in religion. Because religion or belief is not merely to create or shape someone to isolate themselves from other religions. In the teachings of Christianity the attitude of tolerance is seeing others as themselves, loving others as loving themselves, even to an enemy. Likewise in the teachings of Islam, this religion emphasizes the human aspect (humanizing humanity), it seeks to release people from all forms of oppression, suffering and violence, so that if the adherents of each religion are mature in understanding the teachings of their respective religions , it will be expected that the conflict between the Interreligious Beliefs, Interfaith Religion and Interfaith Religion with the Government can be avoided.

Keywords: Religious Teachings, Tolerance

Islam is a universal religion that regulates all aspects of life, including teachings about religious harmony. Normatively, the Koran has included verses related to religious pluralism, multiculturalism and tolerance of religious life. Historically the Medina pajamas are historical witnesses that the Prophet laid the foundation and became an example in living a life of different religions and cultures. For Muslims in Indonesia the elimination of seven words in the Jakarta pajamas is a tangible form of inter-religious harmony shown by Muslims. Likewise with the Confucian religion, there are teachings that can lead its adherents to live in harmony with other religions, among the teachings or five noble characteristics of Wu Chang, which are seen as the concept of teachings that can create a harmonious life. The two religions generally maintain harmony with each other, but in particular there are often misunderstandings such as reality shows that there are not a few actions that deviate from the values of tolerance. The method in this discussion uses a library research (library research), with a qualitative approach. The results of this discussion illustrate that Islam and Confucianism positively support the existence of tolerance between religious communities and the government. Furthermore, religious tolerance has limits that must be maintained and respected, for example in the form of the social interests of the two teachings, while regarding the creed, both are not allowed to tolerate. The similarity of tolerance according to both is the harmony of life between religious communities, which is something that is mentioned in the Al-Quran and the book of Lun Yu. Like mutual respect, please help and be fair to every people. Meanwhile, what distinguishes religious tolerance is that Islam does not allow marriage to a non-Muslim, while Confucianism allows marriage to people of different religions

This chapter summarizes many of the key findings from the research and offers some reflection questions that can be of value to religious communities, vocation directors, and others interested in promoting vocations to religious life. Influences on consideration of a vocation in general include family faith and parish life; Catholic schools; and volunteer service. Influences on consideration of a particular religious institute include personal witness and visibility of religious; community life; and cross-generational and cross-cultural commonalities. We can look at these influences in two ways: those that encourage and sustain the discernment of a vocation to consecrated life and/or priesthood in general, and those that invite and inspire women and men to pursue a vocation in a specific religious institute.

The purpose of this study is to analyze how the MUI fatwa efforts to maintain the harmony between religious communities and the harmonious life in society, nation, and state. Using qualitative research methods in communication of da'wah perspective, this study focuses direct attention into 3 (three) things that’re: 1) analysing about some keywords contained in the fatwa; 2) understanding the quality of fatwa messages; and 3) analysing the implications of fatwa in Indonesian religious life. Generally, in communication of da'wah perspective, the fatwa still raises multi-interpretations, particularly among the communicants, especially on keywords in the fatwa which have an impact on the tension of religious relations in Indonesia, though not too significant.
