This chapter aims to set the scene. First, it sets out why we should about beliefs, and about beliefs. To this end, it surveys some of the rich philosophical and psychological literature on how beliefs are acquired and updated. Second, it aims to show that the existing literature, illuminating though it is, doesn’t adequately explain how and why we come to believe what we do and act as we do. Against philosophers and cognitive scientists who argue that beliefs matter less than we might think, or that people have more accurate beliefs than they sometimes let on, the chapter argues that people’s beliefs matter for their behavior and that bad beliefs are an important phenomenon. It then goes on to review explanations of bad belief stemming from or inspired by dual process accounts of human reasoning. It argues that these accounts face difficulties significant enough to warrant developing an alternative account of belief formation.

Harmony in religious life is an important phenomenon to note. Considering that several different religions have developed in Indonesia, it is necessary to apply the teachings of harmony theology. Community life under religious pluralism is not always harmonious. In daily life, several cases of disharmony of religious communities often occur. This disharmony occurs because of the lack of tolerance between religious people with one another. To bring back the attitude of tolerance, one needs to explore religious teachings. Thus, there is no longer a nerrow mind against Hindus. The theology of harmony in the Hindu perspective in this case seeks to provide teachings about the unity of mankind. In the Hindu perspective of harmony theology, every human being should respect his fellow human beings because they come from the same source, namely God. Harmony is a religious obligation and obedience to God, it is also a cultural guideline and customs. The synergy between the two has always greatly influenced people's perspectives and attitudes regarding various matters, including efforts to create a harmonious life in the midst of plurality.

The study of the influence of sociocultural dominants on value intentions formation in young generation of specialists (teachers) is important for identifying useful ideas that can be implemented to improve axiological situation in the country and the world in accordance with civilization challenges. The article highlights a wide range of theoretical achievements and presents results of empirical research, which confirms positive dynamics of value intentions development in students of pedagogical and art specialties. Generalized conclusions about development of this important phenomenon in the context of declining demand for value dominants, are confirmed by statistics. The study was based on axiological, socio-cultural, systemic and interdisciplinary research. The research field consisted of educational institutions in Kyiv (Ukraine), the sample was 356 respondents (students of the first bachelor’s level). The adequacy of the applied experimental tools (questionnaires, Pedagogical essays) is proved. The experimental work was conducted online using Google services. The results of the study show positive dynamics of the value intentions development and a significant correlation between students’ motivation to value-oriented activities and sustainability of this direction in the future. The importance of sociocultural determinants in the development of value intentions in students of pedagogical specialties based on sociocultural knowledge is proved.

Organic textiles are very important in people's lives and day by day people become aware of organic textiles is a very important phenomenon. On the awareness of people, it is more important that the organ is preferred to clothing today. SPSS (Statistical Package for Socia lSciences) for Windows 22.0 program was used in the analysis of the data obtained in the study. Descriptive statistical methods were used to evaluate the data. Attitude level score was determined as a result of using score values for answers to scale questions. Satisfaction comparisons were made according to gender, age, marital status and education variables. Key Words: Textile, Sunday, Agriculture, Organic

AbstractAlthough the notion of constitutive rule has played an important role in the metaphysical debate in social and legal philosophy, several authors perceive it as somewhat mysterious and ambiguous: the idea of a specific kind of rules that are supposed to be “magically” constitutive of reality seems suspicious, more a rationalistic fiction than a genuine explanation. For these reasons, reductionist approaches have been put forward to deflate the explanatory role of this notion. In this paper, I will instead try to defend constitutive rules. My thesis is that the notion of constitutive rule is explanatorily helpful because it gives a complete account of an important phenomenon in the social and legal domain, namely, that of artifactual entities endowed with statuses that can have emergent normative properties. Conceiving of these entities as rule-constituted artifacts is an important part of what H. L. A. Hart called “the internal point of view” toward law, and for this reason constitutive rules should be included in an explanation of that point of view as an integral part of the life of institutions. The structure of my argument will be as follows. First, I will provide an example of an important phenomenon in the internal point of view, namely, the fact that individuals can have normative reactions not about the specific regulation of an institution but about its underlying purpose and rationale—what in the legal domain is called the ratio of a norm. Then I will identify two reductionistic approaches on constitutive rules. The first approach is exemplified by Brian Epstein’s idea that the phenomena explained by constitutive rules are better explained in terms of metaphysical (grounding/anchoring) relations. The second kind of reductionism is instead exemplified by the idea (held by several authors, among whom Alf Ross, Riccardo Guastini, Frank Hindriks, and Francesco Guala) that the phenomena explained by constitutive rules can be accounted for in terms of regulative rules plus a certain terminology. I will try to show that neither of these approaches can explain normative reactions to the ratio of an institution from an internal point of view: While the first cannot explain the fact that the reaction is strongly normative, the second cannot explain the fact that the reaction is about the ratio of a normative entity. Constitutive rules can instead explain both things and should be preserved as an important notion for the analysis of institutional ontology. By way of constitutive rules we create something: immaterial, rule-based institutional artifacts that can have emergent normative properties.

Migration is a powerful driver of economic, political and social change. Given its significance, the impact on the community, the migration process must be fully measured and understood. Reliable statistics are essential for the basics of understanding this important phenomenon, however, general data on migration are incomplete, outdated or non-existent. Improving this area requires knowledge of principles such as the collection, training and analysis of migration statistics in order to develop effective policies.

The spread of Cold Mountain (Han Shan) poems is a text travel. As an important phenomenon of Chinese culture as well as a world cross-cultural phenomenon, it has significant research value. From the perspective of translator behavior criticism, the translator's volitional nature, identity and the social context in which the translator's behavior takes place all influence the translator's internal and external translation behavior. Based on the "Truth-seeking-Utility-attaining" Continuum Mode of Evaluation, we find that different sinologists display different translator's behavior characteristics when translating Cold Mountain poems into English. This paper summarizes the general behavior rules of translators, which can provide some references for the "going out" of Chinese culture.

Article visualizations:

The pre-Socratic Greek philosopher Anaxagoras was a proponent of the theory that in all things there are parts of all other things, and that it must be considered that everything was in everything else. In the derived sense, it can be said that, since everything is contained in everything else, then anything can be explained through anything else. In the applied sense, this would mean that the elements of one thing can be applied to any other thing, and the phenomenon of gamification confirms the claim of this ancient philosopher. Widely and directly applicable as rarely any other thing, gamification, that is, the application of elements and principles from video games (or games in general) in non-gaming environments, has become one of the most sought after new technological solutions. Its application is extremely wide - from security services and business, all the way to the focus of this paper, which is the process of learning and education. The aim of this paper is to research the phenomenon of gamification of education, by defining and determining the factors and elements of that process, and then, by analyzing examples of practical application of this phenomenon, give an evaluation of the current situation, with a projection of the further development of this increasingly important phenomenon.
