The wood harvesting activity is one of the activities that is quite heavy and creates a lot of risk of work accidents. The Tasikmalaya Forest Management Unit  seeks to improve the quality of its workers by carrying out weightlifting and K3 training activities with the aim of being able to provide great benefits in understanding how to lift weights and K3. This activity was carried out at the Tasikmalaya KPH Urug TPK which is part of the Tasikmalaya Forest Management Unit . The activity was held on September 1, 2020 with a total of 20 training participants. The method used is to provide training in the form of indoor material on the method of lifting weights and the importance of K3, then continued with the implementation of practice in the field. minimize the risk of work accidents.Kegiatan pemanenan kayu merupakan salah satu kegiatan yang cukup berat dan banyak menimbulkan resiko kecelakaan kerja. Kesatuan Pemangkuan Hutan (KPH) Tasikmalaya berupaya untuk meningkatkan kualitas pekerjanya dengan melaksanakan kegiatan pelatihan angkat beban dan K3 dengan tujuan dapat memberikan manfaat yang besar dalam memahami cara angkat beban dan K3. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di TPK Urug  KPH Tasikmalaya merupakan bagian dari  Bagian Kesatuan Pemangkuan Hutan (BKPH) Tasikmalaya. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada Tanggal 1 September 2020 dengan jumlah peserta pelatihan sebanyak 20 orang. Metode yang dilakukan adalah dengan memberikan pelatihan berupa materi dalam ruangan tentang metode angkat beban dan pentingnya K3,  kemudian dilanjutkan pelaksanan praktek di lapanganAdanya pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui pelatihan ini mendapat respon yang baik dari peserta sehingga dapat menambah pengetahuan tentang metode angkat beban dan memahami SOP K3 serta dapat meminimalisir resiko kecelakaan kerja.

Logging activities at Perum Perhutani are one of the determinants of the quality of wood produced. Mistakes in felling and errors in dividing the stems will greatly affect the quality of the wood produced. Therefore it requires operator knowledge and skills in carrying out these activities. This activity was carried out at the Tasikmalaya KPH Urug TPK which is part of the Tasikmalaya Forest Management Unit (BKPH). The activity was carried out on September 1, 2020. The activity began with an in-room presentation of chainsaw, usage theory, and logging techniques which was continued with practice in the field. The community service activity undertaken is to offer solutions in the form of training activities for chainsaw operators and logging techniques. The hope is that by knowing the types and parts of chainsaws as well as the proper felling techniques for operatots in the field, forest harvesting activities will run properly and correctly with optimum results.Kegiatan penebangan di Perum Perhutani menjadi salah satu penentu kualitas kayu yang diproduksi. Kesalahan dalam penebangan serta kesalahan dalam pembagian batang akan sangat berpengaruh terhadap kualitas kayu yang dihasilkan. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan operator dalam melakukan kegiatan tersebut. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di TPK Urug  KPH Tasikmalaya yang termasuk pada Bagian Kesatuan Pemangkuan Hutan (BKPH) Tasikmalaya. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada Tanggal 1 September 2020. Kegiatan diawali dengan pemaparan di dalam ruangan mengenai chainsaw, teori penggunaan, serta teknik penebangan yang dilanjutkan melakukan praktek di lapangan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada  masyarakat yang dilakukan adalah menawarkan solusi berupa kegiatan pelatihan bagi operator chainsaw dan teknik penebangan. Harapannya adalah dengan mengetahui jenis dan bagaian-bagian chainsaw serta teknik penebangan yang tepat bagi para operatot di lapangan maka kegiatan pemanenan hutan akan berjalan dengan baik dan benar dengan hasil yang optimum.

The success of managing the forest management unit cannot be separated from the availability of human resources.  The purpose of this study is to study the implications of the issuance of Law Number 23 of 2014 concerning Regional Government on Human Resources in the Gedong Wani Production Forest Management Unit. Data obtained through interviews and library studio analyzed descriptively qualitative.  The results showed that there have been changes in human resources in the Regional Technical Implementation Unit (UPTD) KPHP Gedong Wani.  In addition, there are also several inhibiting and supporting factors in its application. The most important implication is an increase in human resources both in quantity and quality due to the transfer of authory from the center to the regions.  Education and training are still needed to guarantee and improve the quality of human resources in the UPTD KPHP Gedong Wani.

The growing body of literature concerning the hunted wild game meat (HWGM) supply chain is mainly focused on the final consumer, while little is known about upstream production processes. Even though the hunter plays a central role here, it is not well understood how hunters themselves perceive their role in the various phases of the production process. The present study explores Italian hunters’ perception of the HWGM supply chain and compares it to their perception towards the conventional farmed meat supply chain. We distinguish several phases of this production process and find that the final phase related to on-site game dressing is considered problematic, perhaps because hunters perceive themselves as less skilled than professional butchers. The results, in fact, show that hunters prefer hunted products over farmed meat, but that they consider hunted wild boar meat less safe compared to farmed pork. Findings from this study provide a rare glimpse from the inside of the supply chain and reveals the needs for a broad risk assessment analysis on the Italian game meat supply chain. Considering the development of the Italian emerging market of the HWGM, our results also highlight the relevance of training activities on hunters in order to increase the safety and quality of the final product.

Abstract In 1985, the Western Upper Peninsula Forest Improvement District began operations, serving six counties in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. An evaluation in the fifth year of its forestry program found that the District had increased landowner participation in forest management, upgraded significant aspects of the quality of forest practice, and established a sound administrative system. Costs of service delivery were competitive with other programs in the region. The evaluation identified a number of areas for improvement. Improving the quality of learning needs to be done continuously as the development of science, technology, and the community. The approach to improving teacher professionalism can be done with supervision techniques, fostering a culture of learning organizations, and training activities. By using this approach, the performance of the institution can be done through continuous improvement of teacher professionalism, both individually and in groups.

Teachers participate in-service trainings in order to contribute their vocational development after completing graduate education and appointed as a teacher. The positive attitudes of teachers about participating in-service trainings increase the expectations about the teaching activities in their classrooms. In addition, The participation levels of teachers and the quality of in-service training activities may have a significant role on boosting teacher’s attitudes on attendance to in-service trainings. Based on this principle aim, in this research, the answers to these questions of teachers’ working in pre-primary, primary, secondary and high schools in Amasya, Tokat, Samsun and Çorum cities were sought in this study:  what are the attitudes of the teachers in participating the in-service trainings? Do the attitudes of the teachers differ significantly based on the factors of gender, professional experience, the city where they work, or their branch?  And is there any interconnection between the attitude scores of the teachers participating in the in-service trainings and their ages and years of seniority? 4) What are the expectations of the teachers about improving the effectiveness of the in-service trainings? Since this research tries to define the existing situation, the descriptive survey model was used in this research. N=37.028 teachers are the population of this research. In the research, which used a stratified cluster sampling method, n=961 teachers’ data were collected. The data of the research were collected by using the “Attitude Scale on In-Service Training (ASIST)”, which was in likert-form, and developed by Çelen, Kösterelioğlu and Akın Kösterelioğlu (2016). According to the findings, a statistically significant difference could not be found among the attitude scores of the teachers who work in four different provinces regarding participation in in-service training activities in terms of the gender, marital status and the number of the children they have. In the attitude scores of teachers, a significant difference was seen only in branch variable in favour of pre-primary teachers. Furthermore, whether the subject of the training to be given meets the needs of the education and trainings in the school, whether the in-service trainings address the teachers’ vocational and social interests; and the time they are organised and by whom they are given can be defined factors which can affect the participation levels of teachers and indirectly the attitudes regarding them.   ÖzetÖğretmenler eğitim fakültelerinde hizmet öncesi öğrenimini tamamladıktan ve öğretmen olarak atandıktan sonra mesleki gelişimlerine katkı sağlamak için hizmet içi eğitim programlarına katılırlar. Öğretmenlerin hizmet içi eğitimlere katılmak konusunda olumlu bir tutuma sahip olmaları onların sınıflarındaki öğretim faaliyetlerinden beklenen etkiyi arttırır.  Bunun yanı sıra düzenlenen hizmet içi eğitim etkinliklerinin niteliği ve öğretmenlerin katılım düzeyi, zamanla hizmet içi eğitimlere katılma konusunda tutumlarının gelişmesinde etkili olabilmektedir. Bu nedenle bu araştırmada Amasya, Tokat, Samsun ve Çorum illerinde, okul öncesi, ilkokul, ortaokul ve liselerde görev yapan öğretmenlerin; hizmet içi eğitime katılmaya ilişkin tutumları nasıldır? Hizmet içi eğitime ilişkin tutum puanları, cinsiyet, öğretmenlik hizmet yılı, öğretmenlik yaptığı şehir, branş gibi değişkenler açısından manidar farklılık göstermekte midir? ve hizmet içi eğitimlerin etkililiğinin artmasına ilişkin beklentileri nelerdir? sorularına yanıt aranmıştır. Var olan durumu saptamak amaçlandığından araştırma, tarama modelinde nicel bir araştırmadır. Araştırmanın evreninde N=37.028 öğretmen yer almaktadır. Tabakalı küme örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilen örneklem üzerinde yürütülen araştırmada n=961 öğretmenden veri toplanmıştır. Araştırmada veriler, Çelen, Kösterelioğlu ve Akın Kösterelioğlu (2016) tarafından geliştirilen ölçek ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinden elde edilen sonuçlara göre; öğretmenlerin hizmet içi eğitim programlarına katılma konusunda; Tokat, Çorum, Amasya ve Samsun illerinde görev yapma, cinsiyet, mesleki kıdem, medeni durum ve çocuk sahibi olma değişkenleri açısından anlamlı fark elde edilmemiştir. Öğretmenlerin tutum puanlarında sadece okul öncesi öğretmenler lehine olmak üzere branş değişkeninde manidar fark saptanmıştır. Ayrıca hizmet içi eğitime katılma konusunda eğitimlerin öğretmenlerin ihtiyaçlarına uygun olması, eğitimin ilgilerini çekmesi, eğitimin yapılacağı zamanın uygunluğu ve kim tarafından verilecek olması öğretmenlerin katılım düzeylerini arttıracak ve dolaylı olarak olumlu tutum geliştirmelerine etki edebilecek unsurlar olarak sıralanmaktadır.
