Teachers participate in-service trainings in order to contribute their vocational development after completing graduate education and appointed as a teacher. The positive attitudes of teachers about participating in-service trainings increase the expectations about the teaching activities in their classrooms. In addition, The participation levels of teachers and the quality of in-service training activities may have a significant role on boosting teacher’s attitudes on attendance to in-service trainings. Based on this principle aim, in this research, the answers to these questions of teachers’ working in pre-primary, primary, secondary and high schools in Amasya, Tokat, Samsun and Çorum cities were sought in this study:  what are the attitudes of the teachers in participating the in-service trainings? Do the attitudes of the teachers differ significantly based on the factors of gender, professional experience, the city where they work, or their branch?  And is there any interconnection between the attitude scores of the teachers participating in the in-service trainings and their ages and years of seniority? 4) What are the expectations of the teachers about improving the effectiveness of the in-service trainings? Since this research tries to define the existing situation, the descriptive survey model was used in this research. N=37.028 teachers are the population of this research. In the research, which used a stratified cluster sampling method, n=961 teachers’ data were collected. The data of the research were collected by using the “Attitude Scale on In-Service Training (ASIST)”, which was in likert-form, and developed by Çelen, Kösterelioğlu and Akın Kösterelioğlu (2016). According to the findings, a statistically significant difference could not be found among the attitude scores of the teachers who work in four different provinces regarding participation in in-service training activities in terms of the gender, marital status and the number of the children they have. In the attitude scores of teachers, a significant difference was seen only in branch variable in favour of pre-primary teachers. Furthermore, whether the subject of the training to be given meets the needs of the education and trainings in the school, whether the in-service trainings address the teachers’ vocational and social interests; and the time they are organised and by whom they are given can be defined factors which can affect the participation levels of teachers and indirectly the attitudes regarding them.   ÖzetÖğretmenler eğitim fakültelerinde hizmet öncesi öğrenimini tamamladıktan ve öğretmen olarak atandıktan sonra mesleki gelişimlerine katkı sağlamak için hizmet içi eğitim programlarına katılırlar. Öğretmenlerin hizmet içi eğitimlere katılmak konusunda olumlu bir tutuma sahip olmaları onların sınıflarındaki öğretim faaliyetlerinden beklenen etkiyi arttırır.  Bunun yanı sıra düzenlenen hizmet içi eğitim etkinliklerinin niteliği ve öğretmenlerin katılım düzeyi, zamanla hizmet içi eğitimlere katılma konusunda tutumlarının gelişmesinde etkili olabilmektedir. Bu nedenle bu araştırmada Amasya, Tokat, Samsun ve Çorum illerinde, okul öncesi, ilkokul, ortaokul ve liselerde görev yapan öğretmenlerin; hizmet içi eğitime katılmaya ilişkin tutumları nasıldır? Hizmet içi eğitime ilişkin tutum puanları, cinsiyet, öğretmenlik hizmet yılı, öğretmenlik yaptığı şehir, branş gibi değişkenler açısından manidar farklılık göstermekte midir? ve hizmet içi eğitimlerin etkililiğinin artmasına ilişkin beklentileri nelerdir? sorularına yanıt aranmıştır. Var olan durumu saptamak amaçlandığından araştırma, tarama modelinde nicel bir araştırmadır. Araştırmanın evreninde N=37.028 öğretmen yer almaktadır. Tabakalı küme örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilen örneklem üzerinde yürütülen araştırmada n=961 öğretmenden veri toplanmıştır. Araştırmada veriler, Çelen, Kösterelioğlu ve Akın Kösterelioğlu (2016) tarafından geliştirilen ölçek ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinden elde edilen sonuçlara göre; öğretmenlerin hizmet içi eğitim programlarına katılma konusunda; Tokat, Çorum, Amasya ve Samsun illerinde görev yapma, cinsiyet, mesleki kıdem, medeni durum ve çocuk sahibi olma değişkenleri açısından anlamlı fark elde edilmemiştir. Öğretmenlerin tutum puanlarında sadece okul öncesi öğretmenler lehine olmak üzere branş değişkeninde manidar fark saptanmıştır. Ayrıca hizmet içi eğitime katılma konusunda eğitimlerin öğretmenlerin ihtiyaçlarına uygun olması, eğitimin ilgilerini çekmesi, eğitimin yapılacağı zamanın uygunluğu ve kim tarafından verilecek olması öğretmenlerin katılım düzeylerini arttıracak ve dolaylı olarak olumlu tutum geliştirmelerine etki edebilecek unsurlar olarak sıralanmaktadır.

This study is predicated on a descriptive survey of quantitative research designs, which attempts to identify the attitudes of instructors of English towards reflective teaching in Turkey. For the collection of data, Reflective Teaching Attitude Scale, developed by Akbari, Bahzaadpoor and Dadvand, was distributed to 56 instructors of English who comprised the sampling of the study. The instructors were sampled more than ten universities across Turkey. The questionnaire was administered via using the online questionnaire feature of Google documents. The results demonstrate that all instructors tend to hold positive attitudes towards reflective teaching. In addition, when some variables such as gender, types of institutions worked at, faculties graduated from, and finally the last degree they hold are concerned, no statistically significant difference is observed among the participants in relation to their attitudes towards reflective teaching.

Since the advent of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), teaching and learning have somewhat taken a paradigm shift. It is, thus, imperative for teachers in all disciplines to appreciate the essence of integrating ICTs in teaching and learning. In this regard, this study sought to explore Basic School Ghanaian Language teachers’ perceptions of ICT integration in Ghanaian language teaching. The study employed a descriptive survey design. Stratified random sampling was used to obtain data from 205 teachers in the Bono, Bono East and Ahafo region of Ghana. Analysis of data collected through a self-developed questionnaire reveals that Ghanaian language teachers exhibit a positive perception of ICT integration in education. However, in practice, they tend to integrate ICT in their instruction on occasional basis. Also, it was revealed that a lack of financial support for ICT resources and lack of in-service training on ICT use were factors that militated against ICT integration in Ghanaian language teaching. Finally, the study revealed a statistically significant difference between degree holders and diploma holders’ perception of ICT integration in teaching and learning Ghanaian language.

Teachers play significant role in the process of implementing inclusive lower primary education, but it is important to note that inclusive education is yet to be fully implemented in Nigeria despite the numerous benefits associated to it. As one of the major implementers of inclusive lower primary, it is imperative to study teachers’ knowledge of inclusive lower primary education in Ifako-Ijaiye, as to provide empirical evidence. Descriptive survey research design was adopted with thirty five (35) teachers who were sampled using simple random. A self-designed research instrument titled Teachers Knowledge of Inclusive Education Questionnaire (α = 0.92) was used to collect data. One research question was answered and two hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance. Teachers have average knowledge of inclusive lower primary education (Average Percentage = 53.6). Regular and special teachers have no significant difference on knowledge of inclusive education (t = 0.50; df = 33; p0.05). Based on the findings, it was recommended that Nigerian Government, concerned Non-Governmental Organizations and Scholars should ensure that regular trainings are organized for lower primary teachers in order to update their knowledge about inclusive education

Teachers have a pivotal role in our education system. However, inefficiency in teachers can affect the very foundation of this education system and which in turn will lead to the downfall of society and the nation. It is well said that the quality of education depends on the quality of teachers, so it is essential to prepare a quality teacher. As the teacher acts as transmitter of knowledge, motivator, and manager so it is dire need to train the prospective teacher in Life skills.  According to WHO life skills have been defined as “the abilities for adaptive and positive behaviour that enables individuals to deal effectively with the demands and challenges of everyday life”. The  present study include ten Life skills as suggested by WHO i.e. Self-awareness skill, Interpersonal skill, Effective Communication skill, Problem Solving, Decision Making, Critical Thinking, Creative Thinking, Coping with Stress, Coping with Emotion, and Empathy. A descriptive survey method is used for this study. The data of 100 pre-service teachers in which 40 female and 60 male pre-service teachers, were collected by random cluster sampling technique from two B.Ed. colleges of Ghaziabad affiliated to C.C.S. University Meerut in Ghaziabad district. Moreover, t-test is used as a statistical technique to compare the life skills between male and female pre-service teachers. However, the investigator found no significant difference between the male and female pre-service teachers in their Life Skills.

      Attitudes refer to the inside tendency and thoughts that reflect when a person is displayed to some phenomenon. The main objectives of the present research are to: discover EFL students' attitudes towards teaching profession, and find out if there is a statistical significant difference in attitudes between students at the college of Education "Ibn Rushd" and students at the college of Education for women in Baghdad University? and to discover, if there is a statistical significant difference in attitudes between males and females? The sample is 90 students are selected from in-service training teachers \ fourth stage at college of education Ibn_Rushd and college of education for women. The researcher uses an attitude scale as a tool which consists of a 20 item "likert scale" consists of six subscales. Each one has a statement that pertains to a particular aspect of possibility and assessing teacher’s vocational attitudes. The results show that EFL female students' as well as males do have real tendency toward teaching profession, the Mean values shows that no significant difference between the two colleges (college of education for women & college of Ibn Rushd) about their attitude which means both of them show favourable attitude toward teaching profession.

The investigator intended to examine the attitude of secondary school teachers towards value patterns of education in relation to Gender, Teaching effectiveness and Locality. The investigator adopted a descriptive survey method for the current study. The researcher selected by the random sampling method for data collection following four High schools of Cuttack District. Further, the investigator adopted an attitude scale developed by Rensis Likert for Data collection. For analysis of data, the researcher used the ‘t’ test. The findings showed no significant difference is found between the attitude of Male and Female Teachers on Value Education. Similarly, there is no significant difference exists between Rural and Urban teachers in their attitude towards Value Education.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the status of occupational stress and its influence on the quality of life of copper-nickel miners, in order to provide a theoretical basis for alleviating occupational stress to improve their quality of life. Stratified cluster sampling and a self-administered questionnaire survey were used. The Effort–Reward Imbalance (ERI) questionnaire and the SF-36 (36-Item Short Form) health survey scale were administered to all 2000 miners registered with a copper-nickel mining human resources department and who had been on duty for more than one year. In total, 1857 valid questionnaires were collected, with a response rate of 92.85%. The percentage of the copper-nickel miners suffering from occupational stress was 42.65%. A statistically significant difference was observed in relation to the prevalence of occupational stress among miners of different genders, ages, education levels, and operating units. The occupational stress detection rate was higher for males than females. Miners aged between 30 and 34 years exhibited the highest level of occupational stress compared to other age groups. Those with a junior college education exhibited the highest rate of occupational stress compared to those with other levels of education. Those working in the smelting unit exhibited the highest rate of occupational stress compared to those working in other operational units. Those classified as experiencing stress (an ERI score >1) had lower quality of life scores than miners classified as not experiencing stress (an ERI score ≤1). The results show that level of education, monthly income, and degree of occupational stress affect quality of life among copper-nickel miners. It was found that older age, lower income, higher education level, and higher degree of occupational stress were factors related to poorer quality of life. Copper-nickel miners have high levels of occupational stress, and occupational stress is a risk factor that can diminish quality of life.

Growing studies show that exergames (EG) which can combine physical activity (PA) and games is an effective educational tool in physical education (PE). The purpose of this research was to evaluate the effect of dance-based EG on the attitude of 8th grade female students towards PE.The research group consists of 15 female students who are educated in the 8th grade of secondary education in the public school of Bursa province. Participants performed dance-based EG for 80 minutes (3 sets of 20 minutes sessions, 10 minutes rest between sessions), 3 days a week for 8 weeks. Music and dance content were changed after each 20-minute game. Participants answered the Physical Education and Sports Attitude Scale (PESAS) before the first exergame session and at the end of 8 weeks.Shapiro-Wilk and Kolmogorov-Smirnov tests were used to determine whether the variables are normally distributed. Mann-Whitney U test was used for pairwise comparisons, Kruskal-Wallis Analysis of Variance was used for multiple comparisons. The relationships between the variables were examined with the Spearman-correlation coefficient.A statistically significant difference was found between the participants’ PESAS pre-test and post-test scores (p = 0.001). Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that dance-based EG is useful for developing positive attitudes towards PE among female students.

Abstract The present study attempts to investigate the attitudes of Afghan civil servants towards learning English in their work environment. It also studies the effects of English for the quality of their work and the tasks they do in their offices. Moreover, the study aims to determine the respondents’ attitudes towards learning English by their gender, age, level of education, and the experience of using English at their work places. The data were collected from 508 Afghan civil servants who were working in different ministries through a questionnaire containing 20 items. For the data analysis, Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 26 was used. Descriptive statistics, sample T-test, and a one-way ANOVA test were conducted to answer the questions. The findings of the study yielded that Afghan civil servants have positive attitudes towards learning English. The study also revealed that the attitudes of Afghan civil servants towards learning English are positive by their gender, age, level of education, and their experience of using English at their work places. Furthermore, the study reports that there is no any statistically significant difference in the attitudes of Afghan civil servants by their gender, age, level of education, and experience of using English at their work places.

This study aims to investigate the size of gap between Muslim visitors' perceptions and expectations of the Muslim friendly hotels service quality in England, as well as to describe and analyse the relationship between the perceived service quality and behavioural intentions. To accomplish these objectives, two-stage cluster sampling of 400 subjects was selected from a population of Muslim visitors in England. The Parasuraman et al., 1988 SERVQUAL scale for measuring service quality was used after developing it to suit the Muslim friendly hotels service quality by adding a new dimension pertaining to Islamic law. Results revealed that there is a significant differences gap between the Muslim visitors' perceptions and expectations for the whole score of the Muslim friendly hotels service quality. There is a negative insignificant differences gap between the Muslim visitors' perceptions and expectations in empathy, responsiveness, assurance, and reliability domains. Additionally, there is a negative significant difference gap between the Muslim visitors' perceptions and expectations in the Shari'a compliant amenities domains. However, there is a positive insignificant difference gap between the Muslim visitors' perceptions and expectations in tangible domains. Also, the findings reveal that there is a significant relationship between the perceived service quality and behavioural intentions. These results substantiate the importance of the provision of high quality of service provided to promote the Muslim visitors' behavioural intentions.
