"Elastic-plastic mechanics" is a required course for engineering postgraduates in petroleum colleges and universities, such as students who major in oil and gas storage and transportation engineering. It is the basis for personnel engaged in structural safety assessment. In the past teaching process, the teaching effects of this course were unsatisfactory. There are many reasons for this phenomenon, such as the strong theoretical nature of this course, the need for a large number of formula derivation, the high requirements for students' mechanical foundation and mathematical foundation, the lack of appropriate teaching materials and the slackness of students' minds. Based on years of teaching experience, the teaching team has reformed the existing teaching materials of “Elastic-plastic mechanics” to meet the needs of petroleum colleges and universities. In this reform, we have referred to a large number of published textbooks of “Elasticplastic mechanics” and the experience of textbook construction at home and abroad. The newly compiled textbook of “Elastic-plastic mechanics” plays a certain role in improving the teaching quality of “Elastic-plastic mechanics” in petroleum colleges and universities.

Oil and gas storage and transportation safety courses are very important in oil and gas storage and transportation engineering. With the ideological and political construction of the course in the new period, the mode of professional knowledge teaching cannot meet the teaching requirements. The teaching team has been practicing in the course for many years. By inserting typical characters, typical projects, national policies and industry trends into the course, students' patriotism, academic confidence and environmental protection awareness have been cultivated, and remarkable results have been achieved. At the same time, it can provide some reference for the ideological and political education of engineering majors.

In recent years, the safety of oil and gas storage and transportation facilities has been paid more attention by the state and enterprises due to frequent accidents. The oil and gas storage and transportation facilities safety courses in China University of Petroleum (Beijing) includes “Engineering mechanics”, “Strength design of pipelines and tanks” and “Safety and integrity management of oil and gas storage and transportation facilities”. The three courses lack relevance and the teaching mode is too rigid, resulting in students losing their initiative in learning. If students can’t use the knowledge flexibly, it will affect the achievement of the objectives of the training program. Therefore, oil and gas storage and transportation facilities safety courses are reformed, training plans are adjusted and teaching methods are improved. The practice shows that the reform enriches the teaching content, improves the teaching quality, stimulates classroom activity and gets a good evaluation of students. The reform of safety courses has a certain significance for cultivating compound talents who have the ability to solve practical problems in engineering.

Pipeline bundle system consisting of carrier pipe, sleeve pipe and internal flowlines offers innovative solution for the infield transportation of oil and gas. Due to its features, pipeline bundle offers a couple of advantages over conventional pipeline in particular for cases where multi-flowlines and high thermal performance are of great interests. The main benefits and advantages of such system include excellent thermal performance to prevent wax formation and hydrates, multiple bundled flowlines, mechanical and corrosion protection, potential reuse, etc. With the developments of offshore oil and gas industries, more and more hydrocarbon resources are being explored and discovered from shallow to deep water. Pipeline bundle system can be a smart solution for certain applications, which can be safe and cost effective solution. The objective of this paper is to overview pipeline bundle technology, outline detailed engineering design issue and procedure. Focus is given to its potential application in offshore for infield transportation. Engineering design principles and procedures for pipeline bundle system has been highlighted. A companion paper addressed the details of the construction and installation of pipeline bundle system. An example is given at the end of this paper to demonstrate the pipeline bundle system concept and its application.

Abstract Huge steel or reinforced concrete structures in deep waters support the installations for oil and gas production in the North Sea. Steady operations in a hostile environment require that structural safety and integrity is maintained. For rapid evaluation and assessment of structural integrity in case of modifications or urgency situations, Structural Integrity Systems are established, comprising computational models and structural analysis programs. A major problem for structural assessment at short notice is to keep the analysis models updated and consistent with the actual state of the physical structure and the loadings. This paper proposes a layered approach for model integration, which enable maintenance of the models at a high level, from which detailed analysis models are derived in a consistent manner.

Teaching quality evaluation of physical education usually involves multiple influence factors with grey and uncertain information. This brings about limitations to effective evaluation of teaching quality of physical education in colleges and universities. Thus, this paper draws merits from previous research and proposes a teaching quality evaluation system and model of physical education in colleges and universities. First, based on real situations, grey categories of evaluation state for physical education teaching quality are established. The definite weighted functions of grey category of evaluation state are confirmed. Specific steps of the teaching quality evaluation model based on grey clustering analysis are accounted for. Finally, a case study is introduced to verify the model. This model enlightens a new way to evaluate teaching quality of physical education in colleges and universities.

Ancient Chinese literature is an important part of Chinese language and literature. However, due to the lack of professional quality and teaching experience of most ancient Chinese literature teachers in China, there are many problems in the teaching of ancient Chinese literature, which hinders the improvement of students' comprehensive quality. In this regard, this paper discusses the teaching problems and coping strategies of ancient Chinese Literature under the new education concept, hoping to help improve the teaching quality of ancient Chinese literature in China.
