scholarly journals TO THE PROBLEM OF PSYCHOLOGICAL ADAPTATION OF THE STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES TO STUDY AT THE HIGHER EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT

Nowadays the model for adaption complex in students with disabilities for studying in higher educational establishments is being developed and implemented that supposes the following main components: 1) physical adaptation to the space of institution (spatial component); 2) inclusion in the educational process (educational component); 3) adaptation to the environment of course-mates and faculty staff (socio-psychological component). In comparison with spatial component, educational and socio-psychological components are not well-developed. Scientists define the following factors of successful professional adaptation of the students with disabilities: basic level of preparation for study at university; correspondence of skills and experience with the volume and level of knowledge of academic activity; aspiration to acquire the chosen profession and to work in the given field; interest to the subjects of the general and special cycle; acquisition of skills to work independently; availability of tutors’ institution; professional and pedagogical expertise of teaching staff; psychological monitoring of teaching process and etc. Students with disabilities face the specific difficulties in the process of interaction with course-mates. These difficulties are connected with the course-mates not always being able to perceive and accept such people adequately. While showing sympathy, patience and understanding to these students, notionally healthy students are not eager to consider them as their friends and spend free time with them. On the other hand, the difficulties in interaction with course-mates and teachers for the students with disabilities resulted from their communicative skills – adequate self-expression in the process of communication, tendency to establish tight contacts, orientation to the compromise and cooperation. The process of adaptation of the students with disabilities to study at higher educational establishments is a complex and specific process. The specifics of the considered process is due to negative impact of student’s disability on it. Therefore, the process of adaptation to study at the university occur in two ways: adaptation to the outer conditions of the learning process and by way of displaying activity with the aim of overcoming own disability. Despite the described ways of students with disabilities adaptation to the learning process at higher educational establishments are closely connected, that is the second way that is considered to be the most successful one.

The work considered a system of knowledge control of the Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University. It was shown that the quality of higher education depends mainly on the level of student training, the qualifications of teaching staff, the organization of the learning process, the efficiency of monitoring the quality of the education, and also factors allowing to improve the quality of education in the university. Assessment of the knowledge quality received by the students in the "Chemistry" discipline was carried out among the students of the Automobile Faculty of the KHNADU, entered the first year of the Bachelor of full-time education, during 2014/15–2018/19 academic years. The control was carried out with the help of traditional pedagogical practice types – the main (preliminary, final, and control of residual knowledge) and periodical (current and thematic knowledge tests). Statistical research on the performance of the main types of students' knowledge control, as more significant, shows that the important part of educational activity in university is an effective organization of its control. It was established that main principles of the control of students’ knowledge received during learning subject are the regularity and systematical conduct, the objectivity of assessment of the level of students' skills, the ability to identify the actual level of learning educational materials by the students, the timeliness of identification of the gaps in the learning process by the teacher and applying ways to overcome them. The internal and external factors affecting the performance of students during studying the "Chemistry" discipline have been distinguished. The internal factors are the knowledge level before entering the university and the motivation for learning the subject. The external are an organization of the educational process, self-organization of student learning activity, teaching methods and forms and professionalism of the educator, quality of additional services (holding consultations and individual lessons), educator-student relationship. It was identified that during studying the "Chemistry" discipline, the influence of the factors that students had before entering the university is weakened, and the external factors, which appeared in the process of studying in university, have a significant impact.

The article highlights the possibility and feasibility of the use of cloud technologies by teacher in the educational process of higher educational institutions, modern schools or institutions of additional education. The advantages and disadvantages of using cloud technologies in the learning process are indicated. After all, cloud technologies are one of the perspective directions in the development of modern information technologies. Under cloud technologies are understood distributed data processing technologies, in which computer resources and power are provided to the user as an Internet service. The use of cloud technologies is not only associated with a huge reduction in costs and intensification, but also with significant consumer risks (especially the risks of storage and data transfer). On the other hand, cloud solutions are being improved all the time, and the cloud provider can now reach an acceptable level of security by adhering to a number of conditions. The use of cloud technologies in the educational process will, above all, make it possible to solve the problem of ensuring equal access of students and teachers to high-quality educational resources both at classes and in extra hours. Cloud computing has wide-ranging prospects for applications in education, research and applied research, as well as for distance learning for professionals, postgraduates and students. Cloud technologies are not only the future, it is in many respects also the present. The use of cloud technologies (cloud computing) by higher educational institutions is a promising direction, which allows to increase the efficiency of the educational process, reduce the cost of its implementation. Significantly reduced capital costs associated with the creation and maintenance of educational institutions of their own data centers, provides flexible scalability and high availability of services used in the learning process, which ultimately increases the level of satisfaction of users needs: students, faculty, teaching staff, as more time is spent on solving educational and research tasks.

T he current epidemic situation in Russia and the world caused by coronavirus infection requires prompt solutions to eliminate the consequences of the pandemic in almost all sectors of economic activity. The isolation of the population from mutual contacts was one of the effective solutions to the problem. This arose the need for the educational institutions to promptly switch to a remote mode of education. Those involved in the distance learning process faced a wide range of different problems, which defines the topicality of developing the efficient measures aimed to overcome the challenges of the distance learning process. The subject of the work is the analysis of the processes arising from the sudden transition of the educational environment of the university to the distance learning format, the development of a rating model designed to grade the problems which are important for the students and which are determined by the transition to the distance learning format, and the development of directions for solving the established problems. The aim of the study is to identify the problems that have arisen from the transition to a distance learning format among the students and to develop an organizational and managerial tool to fix these problems. The study relies on the information taken from a secondary data analysis performed by the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) and the results of their own research by the students specializing in Economics at the Institute of Economics and Management in Penza State University. The research methods included SPSS based comparative and frequency analysis. The scientific novelty of the work is as follows: 1) a rating evaluation of the problems arising from the transfer of the educational process of the university to a distance learning format in the context of a "shock" transition associated with force majeure caused by coronavirus infection has been developed; 2) University students’ satisfaction with distance learning and students’ readiness to apply the technological distance learning tools and possibilities of Moodle based electronic educational resources in the distance learning format have been identified. Statistical processing of the research results with nonparametric criteria contributes into the reliability of the findings and the recommendation. The practical significance of the research lies in the developed concept of the organizational and managerial mechanism for overcoming the problems arising from the transition to the university’s distance learning environment. This mechanism refers to the social and informational areas, reduces the time of transition to the distance learning format, and accounts for the interests and readiness of the teaching staff and students. Further research is seen to be connected with monitoring the validity of the revealed problems in their dynamics with a one semester lag.

The article reveals the problems that arise during the preparation of law specialists. Moreover, the increasing number of universities are not able to resolve the situation. The authors analyze the reasons of deterioration of the quality of law education. An attempt to identify gaps in the field of law education has been made, as only proper diagnosis of the disease allows you to select effective treatment. In order to reform law education, it is necessary to involve members of the community who will watch the process of the university optimization, establish contacts between the faculties and various organizations. It is necessary to be more exacting to the teaching staff. The core problem is a drop in the quality of secondary education. The reforms have had a negative impact on the educational process. The opportunity to graduate for a fee leads to a further devaluation of education, to the unprecedented scale of corruption in educational institutions, to the rapid increase in the number of low-grade law schools and faculties producing ignoramuses with lawyer diplomas from year to year. Unjustified multiplication of the university branches has not led to either an increase in competition between them or to improvement of the quality of law education in our country. A serious drawback in preparation of future lawyers is a lack of attention to the practical aspect of the training, as a result, having textbook knowledge only, the students getting down to real work experience a kind of inferiority complex. Ways of optimization of legal education aresuggested.

Academic Gymnasium was found in October 1784 at the University of Lviv. This is a state secondary educational institution of the humanitarian direction. The graduates-maturists had the opportunity to continue their studies at the university after its completion. The Academic Gymnasium was the oldest gymnasium with the Ukrainian language of instruction. The information concerning the gymnasium's organization's functioning and principles till 1848 was lost due to revolutionary events. We can find the data about the organization of the institution's functioning, the number of teachers and students, and their social origin from 1849. At the same time, this date coincides with the secondary school's reform in 1849 based on the «Organizational Essay of High Schools and Actual Schools of Austria» and the «Normative Plan of Education for Gymnasia», which functioned until 1910 with minor changes. Exactly these normative documents regulated the functioning of the gymnasium - the organization of the educational process, the language of teaching, the priority of disciplines, the number and load of teachers, the organization of extra-curricular activities of high school students. Since 1907, the gymnasium is reorganized into the Main Gymnasium due to the number of students' growth and moving into a newly built building on L. Sapieha street and the Branch in the premises of the Narodnyi dim (People's Hall). The educational process in the gymnasium was carried out based on ministerial plans. By the end of the 20th century, more than 60% of the educational time was spent on learning languages, and the natural and mathematical cycle reached 25%, which indicates the humanitarian direction of gymnasium preparation. The situation was changed by the curriculum for classical gymnasiums in 1909, according to which the disciplines of the natural-mathematical cycle were synchronized with the requirements of universities. The article's main thesis is that during the 1849-1914 years, the Tsissar-Royal Academic Gymnasium in Lviv developed into a leading secondary educational institution. Mostly Ukrainian Greek Catholics, natives from Halychyna, studied here. The headmasters of the gymnasium were experienced teachers, skilled administrators. During the second half of the 19th century - at the beginning of the 20th century, the gymnasium was headed by Franz Brugger (1848-1858), Ivan Piontkovskyi (1858-1868), Vasyl Ilnytskyi (1868-1892 ), Edvard Kharkevych (1892-1911) and Illia Kokorudz (1911-1927). The teaching staff was increasing quantitatively and qualitatively. Careful selection, education requirements, and teaching methods provided the gymnasium with qualified specialists and responsible officials. The institution's educational process was provided by about 23-25 teachers, 70% of whom were gymnasium professors. Teachers of gymnasium conducted classes on a high professional level with students and created original textbooks in their native language, literature, history, and geography. Many teachers of the gymnasium and later graduates became well-known socio-political figures, scientists, and artists. So, Academic Gymnasium in Lviv is a secondary educational institution of the second half of the 19th and early 20th centuries. It functioned following Austrian secondary school legislation. The Academic Gymnasium, being in the structure of the Lviv University, provided it with well-prepared entrants. Students received a profound knowledge of normative disciplines in the gymnasium and a good national and religious education. The heads of the educational institution were experienced teachers and organizers who took care of the proper provision of the educational institution with teaching staff. The educational and methodological literature was supported, developed, and implemented in the educational process, together with teachers and public figures. Teachers of the gymnasium constantly worked on self-education and were active socio-political leaders.
