Job satisfaction is a feeling of pride and worker success on the job. It is generally perceived to be directly related to both profitability and personal wellbeing. This study aimed to discover teachers’ perceptions about their job satisfaction based on the demographic characteristics of gender at private sector universities in Lahore district, Pakistan. The population of study consisted of all faculty members of all the private universities situated in district Lahore.  Sample comprised 300 Lecturers, Assistant Professors, and Associate Professors selected through proportionate stratified random sampling technique.  Proportion of male and female teachers was 179 and 129 respectively. A Likert type instrument was developed having 28 statements which were related to the factors of job satisfaction opportunity, organization, safety security, pay, working condition, policies practices, relationship with coworkers, relationship with supervisors, working environment, stress and work load. Reliability of the instrument was 0.781 which showed that the questionnaire was accurate. Findings of the study showed that male and female teachers had perceived equally towards all factors of job satisfaction, whereas no significant difference was found regarding opportunity, organization, pay, working condition, policies and practices, and relationship with coworkers between male and female teachers. It is recommended that universities, administrators, educational consultants, deans of universities should use strategic action for producing and sustaining job satisfaction among university teachers.

This paper compares job satisfaction of private and public school teachers in Peshawar. Sample comprised of sixty (N=60) teachers of both genders ranging in age from 25-50 years. Thirty (n=30) were public school teachers including fifteen (n=15 male) and fifteen (n=15) female teachers, thirty (n=30) private school teachers they included fifteen (n=15) male and fifteen (n=15) female teachers. The data was collected through non-probability sampling technique from Mardan city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A questionnaire was constructed for the purpose of measuring Job satisfaction for teachers. The alpha reliability coefficient was significantly high, thus ensuring the reliability of the scale. The results showed that public teachers are more satisfied with their job as compared to teachers working in private schools. It was further revealed that there was no significant difference between male and female teachers working in public schools and private schools.

The aim of this research paper is to find out job satisfaction among male and female teachers in Faridabad schools. Total number of 100 teachers was assigned in two groups of male and female teachers in primary and senior sections. A survey type study was designed to find out the job satisfaction and occupational stress among teachers. In this study the tool was used Job Satisfaction Scale (J.S.S) by Dr. Amar Singh and Dr. D. R. Sharma. Data was treated by Mean, SD, and T-Test. The finding of the study revealed that there was a significant difference among teachers in their job satisfaction and occupational stress.

The study was aimed to investigate the perceptions of male and female teachers about organizational culture of Paragon City School System Lahore. Teachers who were taught students of grade 4-12 were the population of this study. Sample was comprised of 171 teachers selected through census sampling technique. 43 teachers were male and 128 teachers were female in the sample. A Likert type instrument was developed in which 13 statements were related to tacit assumption, 10 statements with values and 9 statements were relevant to the norms. Reliability of the instrument items was 0.818 which showed that the questionnaire was accurate. Findings of the study indicated that male and female teachers have differences of opinions regarding human nature, human relationships, openness, intimacy, teamwork, support colleagues, and students’ help, is being valued in DHA school system in Lahore. Whereas no significant difference regarding truth and reality, trust, cooperation, criticism on principal, and handling discipline, between male and female teachers. It is recommended that principal would create a school culture where discipline handling, criticism on principal, cooperation and trust between teachers may develop.

The chief objective of this article is to probe into the level of job satisfaction among community campus teachers. Job satisfaction is the state of how content persons are with their jobs. It can be appraised on the basis of their responses to their feelings, perceptions, likes and dislikes for the jobs. Divergent factors can influence the satisfaction level of the personnel in their work. A crosssectional survey design was adopted to carry out the research study. Twenty question items of five-point Likert scale type regarding the job satisfaction of the teachers were administered at two campuses situated in Dang District of Nepal in 2020. Simple random sampling technique (lottery) was used to select 52 campus teachers as respondents for the study by maintaining the confidence level (95%) and the margin of error (5%) from the population of 59 teachers. The collected data were statistically analyzed by using SPSS .The study revealed that the teachers were satisfied (Median=4) with their teaching profession at the respective campuses. The Mann-Whitney U test showed that the teachers of the two campuses had a similar level of job satisfaction. Similarly, there was no statistically significant difference in the job satisfaction between male teachers and female teachers.

This research study was conducted to explore the job satisfaction of university teachers. The study might contribute from theoretical, management and academic perspectives. It was correlational research. The study was delimited to the University of Education Lahore. The population of the study was teachers working at the University of Education Lahore. The Census sampling technique was applied to select the desired sample. The job satisfaction survey developed by Spector was used with prior permission. The validity and reliability of the instrument were insured through pilot testing. The data were collected with prior permission from the concerned authority. Descriptive and inferential statistics were applied to the data. Teachers reported themselves to be satisfied with their jobs. They were found satisfied on the subscales Supervision, coworkers, nature of work, promotion, communication, fringe benefits, pay, contingent rewards, operating procedure, respectively. No significant difference was observed in job satisfaction on the basis of designation, age, qualification, marital status and gender.

OBJECTIVE: To determine prevalence of Hypertension in University teachers of University ofPeshawar who are having sedentary life style and stressful work routine.METHODOLOGY: It was a cross sectional studyconducted in University of Peshawar on teachingfaculty. 500 teachers of University of Peshawar were interviewed and checked for hypertension. Simplerandom sampling technique was used in selection of sample. Duration of the study was six monthsRESULTS: prevalence of hypertension both in male and female teachers was 25.6 %. It was prevalentin obese and smokers. Among hypertensives,46.8 % did not know that they are hypertensive.CONCLUSION: Unlike prevalence of hypertension in general population, it is more prevalent inteaching faculty of University of Peshawar.KEY WORDS: Hypertension, BMI, Compliance.

Employee satisfaction is a parameter used to measure of the extent to which employees are pleased with their particular jobs and working environment. Continuously improving the spirits and self-confidence among employees can be of incredible benefits to any organization, given that happy employees are anticipated to put in more energy and time, take less leave of absence, and remain dedicated to the company. There are a number of factors that improve or sustain high employee satisfaction, which sensible employers thrive to implement. This objective of this study is to determine the level of employees job satisfaction and to investigate the effect of gender on employees job satisfaction. Important factors that have an impact on job satisfaction are supervision, relationship with co-workers, rewards, work condition, and opportunities for promotion. Data for this research were gathered from employees of four 5 rated-star hotels in Iran. The illustrative evaluation executed to decide the grade of employees job satisfaction. Furthermore, independent sample t-test was utilized to empirically test relationship between employees job satisfaction and their gender. Findings suggest that employees are moderately satisfied with their job and there is no significant difference in between male and female employees job satisfaction.

The education process will run optimally if teachers as educators have high interest and satisfaction with their profession. This study aims to: (1) see the description of teacher job satisfaction, (2) see differences in teacher job satisfaction based on civil servant and non-PNS status, and (3) see differences in teacher job satisfaction based on gender. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. This research was conducted at State Vocational High Schools throughout Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau Province. The population in this study were teachers registered in the 2017/2018 school year. Samples were taken using proportional random sampling technique and obtained as many as 206 people, consisting of 85 men and 121 women or 110 people with civil servant status and 96 with non-PNS status. Data analysis was performed using a percentage formula and simple regression. The findings of this study are: (1) most of the teachers' job satisfaction is in the high category with a percentage of 83.49%, (2) there is a significant difference between the job satisfaction of teachers who are PNS and Non-PNS. The job satisfaction of teachers with PNS status is higher than teachers with non PNS status, (3) there is a significant difference between the job satisfaction of male and female teachers. The job satisfaction of female teachers is higher than that of male teachers. The results of this study can be used as input for the Education Office and school principals in order to increase the number of programs that can increase teacher job satisfaction.

Introduction: Job satisfaction is a complex function of a number of variables related to the teachers demographic characters, the work itself, pay, work responsibilities, variety of tasks, promotional opportunities, and relation with co-workers etc. A person may be satisfied with one or more aspects of his/her job but at the same time may be unhappy with other things related to the job. Teachers job satisfaction is associated with teachers effectiveness which ultimately affects students achievements. Job satisfaction has been variously linked with increased performance and negatively with absenteeism and turn over. Methodology: It was a cross sectional type of descriptive study, conducted in 10 medical colleges , of these 5 were non government and 5 were public medical colleges for one year (July 2011 to June 2012) with the aim to determine the medical teachers who were more satisfied with their job . Total respondents were 218 teachers selected by convenience sampling,working in preclinical, para clinical and clinical departments of those medical colleges. Pretested, self-administered, structured , anonymous, using English ,questionnaires with Likert scale was used for data collection . Comparison of satisfaction level between male and female teachers, teachers working in nongovernment and government medical colleges, in central and peripheral medical colleges, senior and junior teachers were done by applying unpaired t test. The level of significance was considered as < 0.05 and confidence interval was 95%. 41% teachers were female, 87% were married and 81% had post graduate degrees. Results : Mean age of the respondents were 42 years and they passed 3 years after last promotion. Regarding theme 1-7 there were no significant difference in satisfaction in male and female teachers but in theme 8 (central administration), p value of two tailed unpaired t test was .009. It means that female teachers were less satisfied than their male counter part regarding central administration .Among the 8 themes, central level teachers were more satisfied (p<.009) in relation with others. Teachers working in peripheral medical colleges were significantly (p <.001) more satisfied with facilities other than the salary. There were significant satisfaction among the teachers of private medical colleges in all the themes except clinical teachers satisfaction. Junior teachers were significantly less satisfied than their seniors in all aspects of their job. Conclusions :Teachers working in non government sectors were more satisfied than the teachers of government sectors in most of the cases. Male teachers are a bit more satisfied than their female counterpart .Satisfaction level is higher among senior teachers. Job satisfaction of clinical and non clinical teachers were similar except regarding facilities enjoyed other than the salary. Teachers were satisfied with their teaching related items but they were dissatisfied with administration.
