This research focuses to produce learning material of science lesson for Junior High School at the eighth grade in the topic of mirror using guided discovery learning method. This research consists of three steps with design one group pretest-posttest. Analyze data by using descriptive analyze N-Gain, T-Test, and ANOVAs one way. The results of this research are learning material of lesson what have been developed, generally, in the good category. Implementation of lesson plan is good. More student activities are making hypothesis, writing identification of variables and doing experiment to each group are 9.9%, 9.8%, and 9.8%. The result of research showed that average N-Gains for each indicator of critical thinking skill are middle category. That is cleared of inferential analyzes t-Test what showed that there is significant differences between pretest and posttests on the result of critical thinking skill tests and  tests of lesson, include of analyze by ANOVAs one way.. The other results are that based on analyzes of maximum criteria completeness (KKM), guided discovery learning method gives influence of result student cognitive test for three groups which is complete. The response of students to instruction with guided discovery learning method is good. Based on the result of research, conclusion of this research is the instruction of physics or science by using guided discovery learning can develop critical thinking skill and complete results of student cognitive lesson. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA fisika siswa SMP kelas VIII pada sub materi cermin dengan metode (guided discovery). Penelitian ini terdiri dari 3 tahap dengan rancangan menggunakan one group pretest-posttest design. Analisis data dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif N-Gain, T-Test, dan Anava Satu Jalur. Temuan dari hasil penelitian ini yaitu perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan secara umum berkategori baik. Keterlaksanaan RPP berkategori baik. Aktivitas siswa yang dominan adalah membuat hipotesis, menuliskan identifikasi variabel-variabel percobaan  dan melakukan percobaan untuk setiap kelompok berturut-turut adalah 9.9 %, 9.8%, dan 9.8%. Hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa Ngain rata-rata keterampilan berpikir kritis berada pada kategori sedang. Temuan lain bahwa berdasarkan tinjauan KKM, metode pembelajaran penemuan terbimbing juga memberikan pengaruh pada penguasaan konsep siswa untuk ketiga kelompok berada pada kategori tuntas. Respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran dengan metode guided discovery dinilai baik. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran IPA fisika dengan metode guided discovery dapat melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMP serta mampu menuntaskan penguasaan konsep kognitif siswa.

Critical thinking is one of the high-level thinking stages that can be interpreted as a process of thinkingprecisely, directed, reasoned, and reflective in decision-making that can be trusted. This study was aimed todetermine the improvement of critical thinking skills toward Guided Discovery Learning model of grade VIIIstudents at MTs Al-Huda Pekanbaru on light material. The type of research used was experimental research.Descriptive analysis was used to analyze the data. This analysis gave the description about influence ofGuided Discovery Learning model toward student's critical thinking ability. The subjects of this study were58 students. The data was collected based on critical thinking skill's test result which consisted of 15 essayquestions for 5 indicators after Guided Discovery Learning model was applied on experiment class andconventional model on control class. Mean score of sudents' critical thinking ability on experiment class was78.45 which was in a high category and average score of students' critical thinking skill on control class was70.52 which was in low category. Based on the result of students' critical thinking skill, it can be concludedthat there was an improvement of critical thinking ability after guided discovery learning model was appliedby 11.24% compared to conventional learning model.

This study aims to describe the feasibility of interactive multimedia based inquiry on material Human Reproduction System to improve learning outcomes and practice students critical thinking skill. The feasibility product is measuring by validity, practically and effectiveness result. The validity product by looking expert media, and content expert valued. The practicaly instructional package showed by learning implementation, and students intrested . The effectiveness by looking at learning outcome and the diffrence between the scores of pretest and posttest achieved by the students. This research is design by instructional learning package design  based on  Dick  and Carey model , developing  design media based on ASSURE model and involved XI Science grade  at SMA Negeri 1 Batu Sopang. Data from the expert of media, content, design and  students intrested were obtained by using observation and test.The data was obtained analyzed by descriftif analyzes technic. The result of research show that the validity of learning material is valid category, implementation  is very good category . Aspect of the student response individual user is good, with 32,13 % very agree and 55,3 % agree at the real implementation. The students intrested on lerning model is good category. Learning achievment of cognitive, psychomotoric and sosial spiritual attitude  aspect than increasing critical thinking skill. N (gain scores) analyses showed that there are  average gain score increasing 0,8(high gain). This study thus showed that interactive multimedia base on inquiry developed feasible to improve learning outcome and practice students critical thinking skills Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kelayakan  multimedia interaktif berbasis inkuiri materi sistem reproduksi manusia untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMA. Kelayakan perangkat diukur dari  validitas, kepraktisan dan efektivitas. Validitas perangkat dilihat dari penilaian ahli media dan ahli materi. Kepraktisan perangkat dilihat dari keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, respon dan minat siswa. Efektivitas perangkat dilihat dari hasil belajar siswa serta perbedaan antara skor pretest dan posttest yang dicapai siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain  pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran dengan  mengadaptasi  model Dick and Carey, desain pengembangan media menggunakan model ASSURE dan melibatkan para siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Batu Sopang sebagai sampel pengujian. Data uji ahli media, isi,  desain,  dan respon siswa  dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan angket,  sedangkan  uji coba  kepada siswa diperoleh dengan menggunakan lembar observasi dan tes. Data yang didapatkan selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa validitas perangkat pembelajaran berkategori  valid,  keterlaksanaannya berkategori  terlaksana dengan  baik. Ditinjau dari aspek  tanggapan siswa pengguna, media  hasil pengembangan berkategori baik, dengan persentase 32,3 % sangat setuju dan 55,3 % setuju  pada implementasi di  lapangan. Minat siswa pada model pembelajaran yang diterapkan berkategori baik Ketuntasan hasil belajar kognitif, psikomotor dan sikap spiritual sosial tercapai, serta peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Analisa N(Gain Scores)  menunjukkan bahwa  terdapat peningkatan gain skor rata-rata 0,8 (kategori tinggi). Dengan demikian, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa multimedia interaktif berbasis inkuiri yang dikembangkan layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dan melatih keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa.

Problem based learning supports students to have an ability to solve problems in real life, so that students’ critical thinking skill is structurally able to appear and is examined well. By problem based learning, students are able construct their own knowledges. This research is held in elementary school using true experimental with test post-test control group design. It uses quantitative descriptive approach. The data of critical thinking skill indicates that problem based learning does not affect significantly toward students’ critical thinking. The data of learning outcomes is analyzed by using t-test in 5 % signification level. The calculation result using t-test gains tcount = 2, 533. This value is consulted to ttable with db = 54 in 5 % signification level, so that it gains ttable = 2,005. It gains tcount>ttable (2,533 > 2,005). Based on its result, it can be concluded that problem based learning affects students’ learning result, unlike students’ critical thinking skill.

<p><strong>Abstract:</strong> Spasial Based Learning Model has provided an alternative to Geography learning. SBL model can teach and improve critical thinking skill. This research was aimed to increase the ability to think critically through SBL model. The study design used a quasi-experiment with the design of pretest-posttest, nonequivalent control group design. The participants are students of Senior High School XI S.1 and XI S.2 of SMA Negri 1 Atambua. The results of the independent sample t-test supported by SPSS 16.00 for windows show that the value of Sig. (2-tailed) of 0,000 smaller than 0.05. Based on the results of the analysis it was concluded that there was a significant effect of the SBL model on students' critical thinking abilities. It means that an increase in critical thinking skill is a consequence of learning through the SBL model.</p><strong>Abstrak: </strong>Model <em>Spasial Based Learning </em>telah memberikan alternatif pada pembelajaran geografi. Model SBL dapat membelajarkan dan meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir secara kritis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model SBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan <em>quasi experiment </em>dengan desain <em>pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group desing. </em>Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI S.1 dan XI S.2 SMA Negeri 1 Atambua. Hasil uji independent sample<em> t-test </em>dengan bantua <em>SPSS 16.00 for windows</em> menunjukan bahwa nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 yang lebih kecil dari 0,05. Berdasarkan hasil analisis disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan model SBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Hal ini berarti peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan konsekuensi pembelajaran melalui model SBL.

This research aimed to find out the validity and effectivity of Discovery Learning Model-integrated mathematics instructional materials on SPLDV topic viewedthrough critical thinking skill improvement and percentage of students’ learning completion. It occupied Reserach and Development utilizing procedures established by Borg and Gall, with only performing up to main product revision. The research subject was students VIII G class of SMP Negeri 1 Seputih Agung, with moderate to high skill characteristic. Meanwhile, data of students’ critical thinking skill improvement were gained through pretest and posttest, using N-Gain test. Eventually, the research result pointed out that validation of mathematics instructional materials developed through Discovery Learning Model on SPLDV topic attained good and effective interpretation. It was seen through moderatecategorized calculation of N-Gain and accomplishment level of students’ learning result exceeding ideal accomplishment percentage (75%).

The research aims to analyze the quality of the learning process using the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model to find out the improvement of student’s motivation and critical thinking skills. It is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles, cycle I consist of 4 meetings, and cycles II consists of 3 meetings, with the topics of Temperature, Expansion, and Heat. The subjects of the research were 34 students on grade VII in one of the junior high schools in Malang. Instruments used to measure the implementation of learning PBL model using the form of implementation sheet following the lesson plan, tools to measure motivation using a poll and to measure the critical thinking skill, and researchers use essay questions. The implementation of the PBL model in the cycle, I was 72.9% and was classified as a good qualification; while in cycle II, it was 91.2% and was classified as a very good qualification. The analysis of student’s learning motivation in pre-cycle was 56%, was classified as a quite good qualification, cycle I was 67.2%. I was classified as a quite good qualification, while in Cycle II, it was 87.2% and was classified as good qualification. The analysis of student’s average critical thinking skills in pre-cycle was 44.12% and was classified lack of good qualification, cycle I was 76.4% and was classified as a quite good qualification; while in cycle II it was 88.4% and was classified as good qualification. The results showed that the PBL model successfully improved motivation and critical thinking skills of students beginning the pre-cycle, cycle I, and cycle II.

This research  is  purposed  to  develop  learning  instrument  of  chemical  analysis  for  eleventh  grade  of vocational high school student on the material of conducting water analysis and mineral through guided discovery learning model. This research is designed using Dick and Carey model whereas the experimental  design using One Group  Pretest-Posttest  Design.  This  finding  research  is learning  instrument  materials  which  developed  generally becomes acceptable or good. The analysis result of hand book and work book literacy are understandable and literate for student. The implementation of lesson plan is good but students activity for observing, discussing, and delivering opinion are dominant with 19%, 16%, and 13% respectively. Based on minimum completeness, guided discover y learning model also gave influence for students learning result which is on complete category. This research also described that N-gain comprehensions of concept average and critical thinking ability are on high category level. Students response to guided discovery learning model is good. Base on this research, it completely concluded that learning on the material of conducting water analysis and mineral using guided discovery model is able to encourage students concept comprehension and critical thinking ability.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran Kimia Analisis siswa SMK kelas XI pada pokok bahasan Melakukan Analisis Air dan Mineral (MAAM) melalui model pembelajaran guided discovery. Desain pengembangan pada penelitian ini menggunakan model Dick and Carey, sedangkan rancangan uji coba menggunakan One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Temuan penelitian ini yaitu perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan secara umum berkategori baik. Hasil analisis keterbacaan BAS dan LKS mudah dipahami dan terbaca oleh siswa. Keterlaksanaan  RPP berkategori  baik sedangkan aktivitas siswa yang dominan adalah melakukan pengamatan, berdiskusi,  dan berpendapat  masing-masing  adalah 19%, 16%, dan 13%. Berdasarkan tinjauan Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM), model pembelajaran guided discovery juga memberikan pengaruh pada hasil belajar siswa yang berada pada kategori tuntas. Hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa N-gain rata-rata pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan berpikir kritis berada pada kategori tinggi. Respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran dengan model guided discovery dinilai baik.  Berdasarkan  hasil  tersebut,  disimpulkan  bahwa  pembelajaran  pada  pokok  bahasan  Melakukan  Analisis Air  dan Mineral (MAAM) melalui model guided discovery dapat melatihkan pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMK

Education as human’s process to gain knowledge is very important to create thinking skill for the human being. Related to that thing, implemented the learning with Problem Based Learning method which is the learning that is oriented to enhance the students’ critical thinking skill. In the constructivism learning theory, the students should be able to construct the knowledge through problem solving so they got the truth which is useful for the existence. This research is using the quasi experiment method with non-equivalent group design. The conclusion of this research shows that there is enhancement to the students’ critical thinking skill significantly and suggested to use this method on another topic, schools gives the hypermedia facilities, and researching another learning competences.   Keywords: Problem Based Learning, Hypermedia, Critical Thinking Skill

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the application of inquiry modules with cognitive conflict strategies in chemical bonding material in improving students' critical thinking skills. This research is a quantitative descriptive study that was carried out with the design of one group pretest posttest. The sample used was 26 students who took general chemistry courses with a purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed by normalized N-gain method and paired samples t-test. The result of this study showed that average N-gain of student critical thinking skill after application of inquiry modules with cognitive conflict strategies is 0.6 with medium category. Average score of student critical thinking skill after treatment (74,12) is significantly higher than before (35,77) that proved by t statistic (41,09) higher than t critic (1,71) with df = 25 and p = 0,000 on one tail t-test. Therefore, it was concluded that the application of inquiry modules with cognitive conflict strategies enhance student critical thinking skill on chemical bonding material learning effectively.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran dan kemampuan awal matematiks serta interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan kemampuan awal matematis terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMP Negeri 1 Tambangan semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2019/2020 yang berjumlah 160 siswa dalam 6 kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik Probability Sampling. Jenis pengambilan sampel adalah Simple Random Sampling. Sampel penelitian dipilih dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas VIII-1 yang terdiri dari 26 siswa yang mendapat perlakuan model discovery learning, dan kelas VIII-2 yang terdiri dari 26 siswa yang diberi pembelajaran biasa. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan tes kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis. Uji statistik data menggunakan Uji ANAVA dua jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran dan kemampuan awal matematis berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa, dan tidak terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan kemampuan awal matematis.
