ABSTRACT This paper analyzes Gending Karesmen that had been living and developing in Priangan, cen- tered in Bandung City, in 1904 to 1942. Gending Karesmen emerged as Tunil Tembang which came up in 1904. In the begining, the performance of Tunil Tembang was plain and simple, then it gradu- ally became more complex and specific. The story, dance, music, and performance were established. The music became dominant factor related to the song (tembang) performed by the player in every dialog expression. Gending Karesmen grew well, almost without any hindrance, because it was sup- ported by the local officials (e.g. Bupati) and intellectuals. It was also because of the socio culture, economic and politic atmosphere in Priangan that were conducive in that period. The COVID-19 pandemic situation has hampered wound care services. Apart from contact restrictions, patient and family anxiety to visit hospitals and health workers having diabetic wound care skills are still inadequate. Only 1 unit of First Level Health Facility (FKTP) has succeeded in developing a diabetic wound care polyclinic; thus, the percentage of diabetic wound sufferers who receive standard services is only 1 percent. This study aims to determine predictors of graduate performance after wound care training with blended learning methods in Jakarta Province in 2021. Descriptive quantitative method using a cross-sectional approach and primary data were collected using structured questionnaire survey technique. The study was carried out from August to September 2021. The population was all 44 graduates of wound care training with the blended learning method. The result shows that the correlation value (r) between age and performance score was 0.43 with a P-value of 0.007. It means that there is a statistically significant relationship between age and the graduate performance score. There is also a significant relationship between motivation and performance scores, with the correlation value (r) between motivation scores and performance scores of 0.37, P-value of 0.020. The dominant factor that affects graduate performance is motivation, with a P-value of 0.02. The magnitude of the variation that affects the dependent variable is 0.129, meaning that the motivation variable can explain 12-13 percent of the variation in the graduate performance score.

The research titled "Analysis of Merak Subal Dance Movement by S. Maridi at Soeryo Soemirat Gallery in Surakarta", was created by S. Maridi in the 1969s. Merak Subal Dance is a dance that represents the life (behavior) of peacocks. S. Maridi's Merak Subal dance was inspired by sundanese peacock dance. This study aims to describe and analyze the movements in The Merak Subal Dance. The research method used is descriptive analytics with qualitative data properties, namely collecting data through observations, interviews, subsequent library studies analyzed descriptively. The research problems were analyzed using conceptual foundations from Soedarsono on dance forms and Agus Tasman on the analysis of dance moves and characters. The results of Merak Subal Dance research in Soeryo Soemirat gallery showed that the dance was presented in the form of a group dance drawn by three dancers with a duration of about eight minutes. Elements that make up The Merak Subal Dance are motion, floor design(floor pattern), top design, dramatic design, theme, makeup and fashion, dance music, property, lighting, venue and performance time. Then the analysis of motion includes materials, energy, space, time, organization, aggregation, character, description. Keywords: Merak Subal Dance, choreography, Soeryo Soemirat gallery.

This study is an exploration into how dance music cultures (better known as "rave" or "club" cultures) find ways to straddle the divide between human and machine through their incorporation of both of these oft-competing elements. Electronic dance music and its digital composition methods represent what Mike Berk calls "a new sonic paradigm." The different modes of production, performance and consumption within this paradigm require alternative ways of thinking about originality, creativity, and authenticity. While I do look briefly at issues of consumption and performance within dance music cultures, I focus specifically on how electronic music producers are bound by a unique vision of musical authenticity and creativity, borne out of their own "technological imagination" and the sonic possibilities enabled by digital technology. To use the concepts employed within my paper, I contend that dance music cultures make evident what Michael Punt calls the "postdigital analogue"--a cultural condition in which the decidedly more "human" or "analogue" elements of felt experience and authenticity coexist and converse with the predominance of the digital technologies of simulation and artifice. Dance music cultures are an emergent social formation, to use Williams' term, revising and questioning the typical relationships understood between digital and analogue. This postdigital analogue manifests in a number of ways in the cultural, aesthetic, and technological principles promoted by dance music cultures. In terms of production in particular, signs of digital and analogue coexist in a form of virtual authenticity, as the sound of the technological process engaged to make electronic dance music bears the mark of musical creativity and originality. This study reveals the unique manner in which dance music cultures incorporate both analogue and digital principles, bridging a sense of humanity with the acceptance of the technological.

Literature regarding supervision and related supervisory and training models applied within the field of sport, exercise, and performance psychology (SEPP) has grown exponentially as the field continues to define and redefine itself. A range of supervision models from mainstream psychology has been explored and applied within SEPP settings, with research indicating that regardless of the preferred model of supervision, a key component of effective supervision is the supervisor’s knowledge and skills related to the area of service delivery. Whilst the supervision of psychologists-in-training within performing arts settings presents similar challenges faced by those working in sport and exercise settings, the social, cultural, and artistic considerations embedded within these performance contexts necessitates a nuanced approach. The provision of supervision for psychologists within performing arts (e.g., dance, music, acting) requires scaffolded learning opportunities that assist the practitioner to gain an in-depth understanding of the context, including how to best tailor, translate, and communicate psychological concepts and skills to their clients that will address their unique challenges and meet their distinctive needs. Furthermore, clarity regarding the roles and responsibilities of the supervisee within the organizational context of an artistic setting is vital to ensuring that effective and ethical service delivery can be provided.

Korean pop music, or K-pop, has emerged and taken its dominant place since the turn of this century, but its girl groups can trace their lineage back to the 1990s, while the dance music so characteristic of K-pop began in the dance music boom of the 1980s. This chapter examines the music, image, and performance styles of female dance divas from the 1980s into the 2000s. Its purpose is threefold: first, to properly historicize the female dance singers of Korean pop music within their socio-cultural contexts and trace how the image of sexuality has evolved from those early dance divas to the K-pop girl groups of today; second, to examine the ways in which multi-dimensional cultural meanings and voices are constructed through the music, performance styles, and images, atop discourses of body, gender, and sexuality; and third, to dispute earlier assumptions about Korean female dance singers as being merely innocent victims of the globalized commercial entertainment industry and patriarchal systems. This study seeks to reveal the female dance singers as major subjectivities in shaping modern Korean popular music, a role inevitably overshadowed by the strong critical discourse on K-pop girls that emphasizes their sexuality.

The technology and system applications of high speed OEIC transmitters are discussed in this paper. With only two MOCVD growths and conventional processing techniques, OEIC transmitters made of sophisticated DFB laser diodes and InGaAs/InAlAs MODFETs can be fabricated. A speed of 10 Gbit/s has been demonstrated. Using the same technology, OEIC transmitters for high bit rate time division multiplexed (TDM) and dense wavelength division multiplexed (WDM) systems are designed and fabricated. There is evidence showing that the OEIC transmitter integrated with multiplexers and other critical circuits can offer significant cost reduction and performance improvement compared to hybrid approach. Using a four-channel OEIC WDM transmitter, we demonstrate its capability of precise wavelength control by setting the channel spacing as close as 0.3 nm. Finally, the crosstalk of OEIC is analyzed. Bonding wires are confirmed as the dominant factor for RF crosstalk. To keep the thermal crosstalk within an acceptable level, a proper device spacing to substrate thickness ratio has to be chosen.

AbstractThree grades of polyethylene, with weight-average relative molar masses, ${\bar{M}}_{\text{W}}$, of approximately 0.6 × 106, 5 × 106, and 9 × 106, were supplied as compression mouldings by a leading manufacturer of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE). They were code-named PE06, PE5, and PE9, respectively. Specimens cut from these mouldings were subjected to a wide range of mechanical tests at 23 °C. In tensile tests, deformation was initially elastic and dominated by crystallinity, which was highest in PE06. Beyond the yield point, entanglement density became the dominant factor, and at 40 % strain, the rising stress–strain curves for PE5 and PE9 crossed the falling PE06 curve. Fracture occurred at strains above 150 %. Differences in stress–strain behaviour between PE5 and PE9 were relatively small. A similar pattern of behaviour was observed in wear tests; wear resistance showed a marked increase when ${\bar{M}}_{\text{W}}$ was raised from 0.6 × 106 to 5 × 106, but there was no further increase when it was raised to 9 × 106. It is concluded that the unexpected similarity in behaviour between PE5 and PE9 was due to incomplete consolidation during moulding, which led to deficiencies in entanglement at grain boundaries; they were clearly visible on the surfaces of both tensile and wear specimens. Fatigue crack growth in 10 mm thick specimens was so severely affected by inadequate consolidation that it forms the basis for a separate report – Part 4 in this series.

Provision of competent human resources is important in tobacco farming. Tobacco as commodities pressured by changes in global environmental conditions so that required adaptable farmers. Therefore, this research aimed to: 1) Determine the factors that influence entrepreneurial behavior and performance of the farm; 2) Analyze the influence of personality trait and environmental factors to entrepreneurial behavior; and 3) Analyze the influence of personality trait, environmental factors, and entrepreneurial behavior to the perfor-mance of individual tobacco farming. The effect of independent variables on the measurement dependent variables were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The personality trait and environment fac-tor influence entrepreneurial behavior with the greatest influence comes from the personality trait. Entrepre-neurial behavior has significant effect on the performance of the business, but not a dominant factor affect-ting the performance of the farm. Economic environment to be the most influential variable on the perfor-mance of the farm. Entrepreneurial behavour alone has no significant effect on performance. Thus, entre-preneurial behaviour should be viewed as only one causal factor in a complex model of factors that promote performance.
