ABSTRACTLand use analysis is useful to identify the mechanisms of changes that occur in a land through a spatial approach in the Geographical Information System. The spatial approach is carried out by using the Arcgis program to analyze geographic data into map units. This study aimed to (1) determine the design of a Geographical Information System (GIS) in an inventory of the use and erosion potential hazards of agricultural land in Tarakan, and (2) inform the use and erosion potential hazards of agricultural land in Tarakan. this study took spatial data from the Public Works and Spatial Planning Office (DPUTR) of Tarakan, Digital Elevation Model (DEM) data to analyze the slope and height of Tarakan and field surveys using GPS. The results showed that the area of agricultural land use in Tarakan in general was 75.33%, dominated by forest land use 38.91%, non-residental open land 25.72%, agriculture 9.35% and plantation land 1.35%. In the land use system, it was never separated from the type of land cover. There were 10 types of land cover in Tarakan including urban forest, dry land forest, swamp/peat forest, mixed garden, dry land/fields, open land, shrubs, orchid botanical gardens, meadows and rice fields. Tarakan had the potential for erosion hazards which could be seen from the slope factor. From 2012-2020, there was an erosion of the area of the slope in each class, namely flat, sloping, steep, rather steep and very steep as well as a reduction in height from 124 MASL in 2012 to 107 MASL in the year 2020. With the existence of land cover and the potential danger of erosion, the land management approach in Tarakan must prioritize aspects of land intensification and conservation, so that the ecosystem can be maintained in a sustainable manner. Keywords : Land Use, Geographical Information System (GIS), Erosion Hazard Potential ABSTRAKAnalisis penggunaan lahan berguna untuk mengidentifikasi mekanisme perubahan-perubahan yang terjadi pada suatu lahan melalui pendekatan spasial dalam Sistem Informasi Geografis.

Floods usually cause large-scale loss of human life and wide spread damage to properties. Determining flood zone is the core of flood damage assessment and flood control decision. The aim of this paper is to delineate the flood inundation area and estimate economic losses arising from flood using the digital elevation model data and geographic information system techniques. Flood extent estimation showed that digital elevation model data is very precious to model inundation, however, in order to be spatially explicit flood model, high resolution DEM is necessary. Finally, Analyses for the submergence area calculation accuracy.

The reconstructive study of the urban arrangement of Susa in the 4th century arose from the intention to exploit some resources derived from local studies, and survey activities, fulfilled by innovative methods from which the modelling of architectural heritage (AH) and virtual reconstructions are derived. The digital Segusio presented in this paper is the result of intensive discussion and exchange of data and information during the urban landscape documentation activities, and due to the technology of virtual model generation, making it possible to recreate the charm of an ancient landscape. The land survey has been accomplished using aerial and terrestrial acquisition systems, mainly through digital photogrammetry from UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) and terrestrial laser scanning. Results obtained from both the methods have been integrated into the medium scale geographical data from the regional map repository, and some processing and visualization supported by GIS (Geographical Information System) has been achieved. Subsequently, with the help of accurate and detailed DEM (Digital Elevation Model) and other architectural scale models related to the ancient heritage, this ancient landscape was modelled. The integration of the history of this city with digital and multimedia resources will be offered to the public in the city museum housed in the restored castle of Maria Adelaide (Savoy dynasty, 11th century), which stands in the place where the acropolis of the city of Susa lay in ancient times.

Accelerated soil erosion is a worldwide problem because of its economic and environmental impacts. Enfraz watershed is one of the most erosion-prone watersheds in the highlands of Ethiopia, which received little attention. This study was, therefore, carried out to spatially predict the soil loss rate of the watershed with a Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing (RS). Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE) adapted to Ethiopian conditions was used to estimate potential soil losses by utilizing information on rainfall erosivity (R) using interpolation of rainfall data, soil erodibility (K) using soil map, vegetation cover (C) using satellite images, topography (LS) using Digital Elevation Model (DEM) and conservation practices (P ) using satellite images. Based on the analysis, about 92.31% (5914.34 ha) of the watershed was categorized none to slight class which under soil loss tolerance (SLT) values ranging from 5 to 11 tons ha-1 year-1. The remaining 7.68% (492.21 ha) of land was classified under moderate to high class about several times the maximum tolerable soil loss. The total and an average amount of soil loss estimated by RUSLE from the watershed was 30,836.41 ton year-1 and 4.81 tons ha-1year-1, respectively.Int. J. Agril. Res. Abstract— Zakat is one of the pillars of Islam whose implementation is required for all Muslims whose wealth meets the Nisab. Nisab is a standard of property that must be Zakati. Because Zakat is the property of the people, the management must be properly channeled. Surakarta city is one of the major cities in Indonesia, there are several institutions of amil Zakat in the city of solo. However, there is no data on the distribution of Zakat in the integrated solo city, so that there are still many recipients of Zakat who receive alms from several amil Zakat. In this study, mapping of Zakat, Infaqand shadaqoh mapping was carried out with a Geographical Information System (GIS). This study aims to produce a deeper analysis of the socioeconomic life in the city of Surakarta as a basis for mapping the distribution of Zakat, Infaq, andShodaqoh. The method used to collect data with rapid appraisal. Where rapid appraisal is a method used to collect data based on socio-economic conditions in the environment, so as to produce a picture of mapping the distribution of Zakat, Infaq, andShodaqoh which is used as a reference for amil Zakat institutions in the Surakarta region to spread.

AbstractDust is a phenomenon occurring in most parts of the world causing financial loss and adverse environmental effects and impacts. Many parameters are involved in dust phenomenon occurrence, some of which are natural and some of them are due to human processes and their influence on the environment. Monitoring the environmental changes can be worthwhile and efficient procrastination the occurrence of this phenomenon. In this research, we scrutinized the Persian and English database in a structured way using dust keywords, heavy metals, remote sensing, geographical information systems and statistical methods. Articles taking into consideration these three fields were retrieved, analyzed descriptively and reported. In accordance with this methodology, the study was conducted in a period from 1992 to 2016. Findings: Among the methods used, the method of interpolation, zoning of dust and their distribution with GIS is more applicable, and among satellite images, MODIS images are the most applicable ones. The results obtained from this study indicated that statistical methods, remote sensing and geographical information system are among effective tools in studying germane researches done on dust monitoring and detection.

Urban development and regeneration projects produce multidimensional impacts on the city, on its environmental, economic, and social systems. An aspect that can be considerably affected by urban dynamics is linked to the real estate market. So, analysing real estate dynamics is useful to support decision-makers in the elaboration of urban regeneration plans and projects, and thus orient their choices. Focusing attention on the city of Naples (Italy), the purpose of this paper is to analyse in detail the real estate dynamics in this city through the integration of a Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) method and Geographical Information System (GIS). This integration allowed us to map and analyse the territory, linking a specific issue (the real estate dynamics) to the territory itself, and to analyse it according to specific criteria. This aims for a better understanding and interpretation of real estate dynamics, representing a useful tool for orienting and supporting urban planning strategies.
