Access to technology in learning is important and is essential in facilitating students’ use of technology in their learning process. The aim of this study was to enhance students’ selfconfidence with Pythagoras’ Theorem by using problem-based learning (PBL) and technology. The technology used was GeoGebra. This study was conducted at a state junior secondary schools in Indonesia. The researcher employed an action research methodology. Twenty-four second year students (12 boys and 12 girls) from the juniorsecondary school participated in this study. The sampling technique used was purposive random sampling. This study used a pre-experimental design with no control group with both qualitative and quantitative data collected and analysed. There were two cycles in this action research. The investigation showed that the integration of problem-based learningand technology has positive impacts on sample students’ self-confidence. The students’ mean score, which was 80.54 (average self-confidence) on the pre-test, showed an improvement in the post-test with 106.13 (high self-confidence). In addition, the researcher conducted interviews of three students. The result showed that the learning had as positive impact on the students’ self-confidence. As part of 21st century society, students need tosurvive in the workplace and teachers can play their role in accomplishing this in the teaching and learning process. While the researcher cannot make generalisations due to the nature of the sample, nevertheless the integration of problem-based learning and technology in the mathematics learning process will be of interest to teachers and educators looking to improve their students’ self-confidence.

AbstractThe background of this research by outcomes of student study still low and still many students of yet reached the minimum completeness criteria (KKM). The purpose of this research to know what the outcomes of study mathematics students with apply the problem based learning model with techniques give the money better than aplly the conventional learning of study at eighth grade in SMPN 16 Padang. The kind of this research is experimental research with design is random by the subject. Selected class VIII 6 as experimental class and VIII 5 as control class. The instruments of this research is test like essay with use reliability r_11= 0,7062. Statistic test used for hypothesis testing is t-test of the parties. Hypothesis test result obtain t_count= 1,78 and t_table= 1,67 with α=0,05, then t_count > t_table so the hypothesis of this research is accepted. So, it can conclude that result of study in mathematics with apply the problem based learning model with techniques give the money better than aplly the conventional learning of study at eighth grade in SMPN 16 Padang.Keyword: Mathematics Learning Outcomes, Problem Based Learning Model, Techniques Give The Money.

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a difference in the average learning outcomes of mathematics and which one was the higher average of mathematics learning outcomes between students who used Problem Based Learning and Problem Solving learning methods. This type of research is experimental. The data analysis technique uses the ttes formula. The results show that: (1) there is a difference in the average learning outcomes of mathematics between students who use the Problem Based Learning and Problem Solving learning methods at SMPN 2 Metro, it is known that based on the calculation of the hypothesis test obtained thit = 2.60 and tdaf = 2 ,00 so thit > tdaf. (2) the average learning outcomes of students who use the Problem Based Learning learning method are higher than the Problem Solving learning method in mathematics learning for class VIII.

Problem-solving skill is a way or strategy to achieve goals following good and correct procedures. One of the learning models that can be applied to improve problem-solving skills is a learning model of Problem-Based Learning. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of the problem-based learning model on student’s problem-solving skills of biodiversity. This research was conducted at SMAN 89 Jakarta in August-September 2019. The method used was a quasi-experiment. The research sample was 66 students of class X MIA with a simple random sampling technique, the instrument used was pretest and posttest in the form of a description question. Instrument of problem-solving skills was tested for validity and reliability. The result of the validity test showed that there were 15 valid items out of 18 items. The reliability test showed that the r-value was 0,901 and included in very high criteria. The effectiveness test of the PBL model with normalized gain calculated score of 0,72 or included in the category of fairly effective. The research result showed that the problem-based learning model influenced students’ problem-solving skills of biodiversity.

ABSTRACTThis type of research is an experimental study which aims to describe theeffectiveness of the cooperative learning model TPS-TGT type in mathematicslearning in class VIII SMP N 1 Makassar. The sample in this study class VIII.5 wastaught by cooperative learning model TPS-TGT type taken using techniques clusterrandom sampling. The data collected consisted of data on student learningoutcomes, data on learners' motivation, data on student activities during thelearning process, and data on student responses to the application of cooperativelearning models of the TPS-TGT type. The results showed that the score of mathematics learning outcomes of students inclass VIII.5 was in the high category with a mean of 80.15 and a standarddeviation of 9.79, completeness in classics was 82.5%, the average normalizedgain was in the high category, scores the average learning motivation of students isin the high category, the average gain normalized learning motivation is in themedium category, the activity of students in following the learning process is in agood category, and student responses to the application of the cooperative learningmodel TPS-TGT type are positive. In general, it was concluded that the cooperativelearning model type TPS-TGT was effectively applied to mathematics learning inclass VIII.5 of SMP N 1 Makassar. The results of the hypothesis test at a significant level α = 0.05 with the t-test showthat H1 is accepted which means that the cooperative learning model type TPSTGTis effectively applied to mathematics learning in SPLDV material in class VIIIof SMP N 1 Makassar.
