The problem-based learning model is a model that plans a problem that is given by educators to be solved by students. This PBL learning model has learning conditions oriented to concrete problems. This research aimed to determine the effect of the problem-based learning (PBL) model on the learning outcomes of class VIII students on Plant Motion Material at MTs Al-Muhajirin Waihatu. The type of research used in this research is descriptive quantitative analyzed using inferential statistics. This research was conducted for three months starting from August 10 to October 10, 2020. The location of this research was carried out in class VIII on Plant Motion Material at MTs Al-Muhajirin Waihatu with a sample of 90 students. To analyze the data obtained through questionnaires and test results, students were processed using descriptive analysis with the SPSS 20 application. The results showed that the application of the problem-based learning (PBL) learning model to the learning outcomes of students in plant motion reached the final qualifications of students (Test Formative) describes 90 students (100%) who succeeded in achieving the MCC value (minimum completeness criteria). The problem-based learning model has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of class VIII students of MTs Al-Muhajirin Waihatu, this can be seen from the significant level of 0.626 with the strong category

This classroom action research aims to improve learning outcomes of students through the implementation of the problem-based learning model. This research was carried out at the VIII1 class of SMP Negeri 3 Pekanbaru in academic year 2019/2020 on the material of two-variable linear equation systems (SPLDV). The subjects were 39 students consisting of 18 male and 21 female students with heterogenous academic ability. This research was conducted within 2 cycles, namely; the first cycle consisted of two meetings and the second cycle consisted of three meetings. The instruments of this research were learning medias consisting of syllabus, student’s worksheet, as well as the data collection instruments consisting of teacher and students’ activities sheet and students learning outcomes sheets. According to the results of the analysis of the teacher and student activity data, it shows that there is an improvement in each meeting after the implementation of the PBL model. Student mathematics learning outcomes data on knowledge and skill competencies also indicate an increase in the percentage of students with learning outcomes equal to or more than 75 in accordance with the established minimum passing criteria. The results of this study specify that the implementation of the PBL model is able to improve students learning outcomes of class VIII1 students of SMP Negeri 3 Pekanbaru for the 2019/2020 academic year on SPLDV material.

Dan persentase hasil aktivitas belajar pada siklus I sebesar 67%, siklus II sebesar 75%, siklus III sebesar 86,5 serta hasil respon siswa pada siklus I sebesar 56,6%, siklus II sebesar 66,67%, dan siklus III sebesar  71,6%.Kata Kunci: Problem Based Learning, Media Rak Telur Rainbow, Hasil BelajarAbstract: The problem of this study is that the mathematics learning outcomes of class II students at SDN Ajung 02 are still low, as evidenced by the 22 students who presented their learning completeness by 27% with an average of 59.77 even though the class was declared complete if it received 85%. The response and learning activities of students are also still low as evidenced by the lack of active students during learning. So the researcher applied the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with rainbow egg rack media. The research was conducted in class II SDN Ajung 02 Ajung Subdistrict, Jember Regency, East Java Province. The type of research used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) with 3 cycles in which each cycle consisted of stages of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques used were observation, learning outcomes tests and questionnaires at the end of each cycle, data collection tools were carried out using observation guide sheets, test questions and questionnaires. Evidenced in the first cycle the percentage of student learning outcomes was 46%, cycle II 68% and in cycle III to 86%. And the percentage of learning activities in the first cycle is 67%, cycle II is 75%, cycle III is 86.5 and the results of student responses in the first cycle are 56.6%, cycle II is 66.67%, and cycle III is 71 , 6%.Keywords: Problem Based Learning, Rainbow Egg Rack Media, Learning Outcomes
