<p class="apa">The aims of this study are to probe into the motivational factors toward the usage of e-learning and social media among educational technology postgraduate students in the Faculty of Education, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. This study had involved 70 respondents via the means of a questionnaire. Four factors have been studied, named, the factor of technology, exposure, content and social influence. Via Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), this research uncovers that respondents usage of e-learning is being motivated by the factor of technology and content. The respondents use of social media was found to be motivated by the factor of technology and social influence. A strong positive relationship exists between the usage of e-learning and social media suggesting that social media can be manipulated as supporting material for e-learning. Yet, the finding may not be generalized to all Malaysian educational technology postgraduate students.</p>

In academia, social media is an educational tool that can attract students inside and outside classrooms and affect their total success. Using social media can have negative effects on the students like wasting time and social problems which have negative effects on grades and studying performance. In this work, conducted a survey in a basic school at Sulaymaniyah Governorate about the impact of using social media on students, Facebook particularly. We received 127 forms; then our analysis shows that using social media has a negative impact on students’ grades. Students who use Facebook for more than three hours had average grades of (66.88%), (73.59%) for one to three hours, and (%82.93) for less than an hour usage. Overall, every one hour using Facebook, the average score decreases by (%5.35). Therefore, decreasing the duration of using Facebook is helpful to increase the student’s average grades. Abstrak Dalam dunia pendidikan media sosial merupakan perangkat pendidikan yang dapat menarik perhatian siswa baik di dalam maupun di luar kelas dan memengaruhi kesuksesan mereka. Salah satunya wujudnya adalah penggunaan media sosial yang berlebihan dan membuahkan masalah-masalah sosial serta berimbas pada prestasi akademik mereka. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti melakukan survei di beberapa sekolah dasar di daerah Sulaimaniyah berkaitan dengan efek penggunaan media sosial, terutama Facebook, terhadap capaian akademik siswa. Balikan survei yang diterima oleh peneliti sejumlah 127 dokumen dan hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media sosial berimbas negatif pada prestasi siswa. Rinciannya, siswa yang menggunakan Facebook lebih dari tiga jam rata-rata prestasinya 66,88%, untuk penggunaan antara satu hingga tiga jam rata-rata prestasinya 73,59%, dan untuk penggunaan di bawah satu jam rata-rata prestasinya 82,93%. Secara keseluruhan tiap penggunaan Facebook selama satu jam rata-rata prestasi siswa menurun 5,35%, oleh karena itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengurangan durasi penggunaan Facebook dapat membantu meningkatkan skor ratarata prestasi siswa  Keywords: Facebok; educational technology; social media; GPA

This research paper presents lecturers experience of using social media in higher education courses. The research methodology used a survey approach. The research instrument was a questionnaire about lecturers experience of using social media in higher education courses. Thirty-one lecturers completed the questionnaire. The data were scored by frequency and percentage. The research results are as follows: 1) A slight majority of the lecturers were male. The largest age group was 3035 years old. The most commonly held highest degree was a Masters. The most common academic position they held was lecturer. The largest group was in the Department of Educational Technology and Communications. They had monthly incomes of 30,000 THB and over. They had experience of using social media, namely, Facebook, mostly through internet use on devices such as notebooks and desktops. 2) A majority of the lecturers had some experience using social media in higher education courses, mostly Facebook. However, they did not have teaching experience using social media in courses. The devices they used for facilitating social media use in courses were notebooks and desktops. Learners role in using social media in courses was searching. Lecturers roles were posting or creating, and commenting. Social media use in the courses was part of a blended approach that employed both regular and online instruction. The lecturers always searched for information and studied hard by themselves to cope with the problems of social media use in their courses and to enhance their skills in using social media in courses effectively.

Electronic discovery is the electronic aspect of identifying, collecting and producing electronically stored information (ESI) in response to a request for production in a law suit or investigation.ESI includes, but is not limited to, emails, documents, presentations, databases, voicemail, audio and video files, social media, and web sites. E-Teaching is the teaching students using electronic equipment either directly or indirectly. As well as M-Learning also anytime and anywhere for fixing timings for learning process. M-learning or ‘m'obile learning is defined as “learning across multiple contexts, through social and content interactions, using personal electronic devices”.A form ofdistance education, m-learners use mobile device educational technology at their time convenience.M-learning technologies include handheld computers, MP3 players, notebooks, mobile phones and tablets. M-learning focuses on the mobility of the learner, interacting with portable technologies. This paper deals with some important things about E-Teaching and M-Learning with advantages of both.

Innovation of products continually, customization, and personalization are the strategies to gain sustainable competitive advantage for companies operating in Industry 4.0 era. Corporations tend to turn to the new social media for access to customer data. How much big data in terms of variety, veracity, velocity, and volume the corporation has determines its prediction architecture and hence customer satisfaction. This is reflected both in terms of inflecting revenues as well as investment from the venture capitalists (VCs), who then see great potential in the business, whether it be a start-up, an established organization, or its spin-off. This chapter explains this new management strategy for corporate sustainability through application of social media to acquire personal consumer and customer data. This is to devise customised products, personalize experience, and innovate for the two. The popularity of social media among students and practitioners has encouraged marketing educators to find ways to incorporate social media into their classrooms. We offer results from an intercollegiate collaboration that provides an innovative learning environment through a social media education ecosystem. Participating students discuss current marketing topics with peers, marketing practitioners, and faculty to reinforce course concepts, improve learning perceptions, and increase professional communication skills and networking opportunities. An initial exploratory study provides a snapshot of Twitter analytics, illustrating the reach of students’ marketing-related discussions. Next, survey data collected from students show increased learning satisfaction and favorable behavioral intentions. Finally, tweets from the 12-week project were analyzed using Linguistic Inquiry and Word Count. Results suggest that participants improved their professional communication skills while using language that provokes greater cognitive processes. Implications for marketing educators and future directions for the project are also provided.

Facebook Pages are a great resource for educational technology professionals to find companies, thought leaders, groups and organizations to share ideas and experiences with peers while expanding industry knowledge and increasing connections. Like most Facebook users, many educators use Facebook to connect with friends new and old, but the Internet's most popular site can also be a great learning and teaching tool. There are many Facebook pages that have been created as a resource to collect, share, and disseminate information about education and education technologies. In this study an attempt has been made to know about various educational pages in Facebook. The study has taken one day survey of total no. of likes and followers for educational pages in Facebook. The educational pages are identified by the Researcher based on her explorative knowledge on the field by random browsing in the Facebook.  The collected data gives us an idea about teachers who use Facebook for educational purposes. This study will motivate other teachers also to browse Facebook for enhancement of their teaching and learning skills. The modern social media could be best used for maximizing teacher’s personality, creative thoughts, innovative ideas and teaching competency.

In this regard, educators need to facilitate authentic digital learning experiences for students. This chapter explores technologies that augment students’ experience, development and readiness for employability. This chapter looks at how educational technology is used to simulate the workplace by capturing and reflecting on actions in real world situations, while recognising that using technology of the workplace can facilitate learning outcomes. Three case studies look at the use of social media, developing reflective e-portfolios and recording simulations to support reflective learning.
