The Development of Islamic Banking Industry in Indonesia relatively shows a good tendency. In the market, inefficiency would be the great obstacles in head to head to conventional bank. Despite of efficiency performance in Islamic Bank, Islamic Bank also must have sharia compliance performance. So it needed to identified the efficiency of Islamic Bank in Indonesia and the achievement of Maslahah in term of three aspects, there are education, the creating of justice, and the attainment of welfare. This study would try to measure the efficiency of Islamic Banking Industry with Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method and also to evaluate the performance by using Maqasid Sharia Index (MSI). Banxia Frontier Analyst 3.1 used in the data calculation. The calculation of the level of Islamic Bank efficiency in this study are relative, not absolute. Result of this study indicate four main findings, first, Islamic bank involve in quadran 1 is Islamic bank who reached the highest efficiency and the best performance; there are BMI and Bank Panin Sharia. Islamic bank involve in quadran 2 is Islamic bank who reached the highest efficiency and the lowest performance, there are BSM, Maybank Sharia, and Bank Sharia Bukopin. Islamic bank involve in quadran 3 is Islamic bank who reached the lowest efficiency and have a good performance, there are BRI sharia, and BCA sharia. Islamic bank involve in quadran 4 is Islamic bank who reached the lowest efficiency and the lowest performance, there are Bank Mega Sharia, Victoria Sharia, BNI Sharia, and BJB Sharia. Keywords: Maqasid Index, Efficiency, DEA, Efficiency-Maqasid Quadrant (EMQ)

This study aims to analyze the profit efficiency of rice farming using transplanting techniques and direct seed planting techniques in Alue Jangat, Darul Ihsan sub-district, East Aceh Regency. This study used primary data obtained directly from 5 rice farmers using transplanting techniques and 5 rice farmers using direct seed planting techniques in Alue Jangat, Darul Ihsan sub-district, East Aceh Regency during one planting period. The variables used are capital, labor, and planting time as inputs and the profits obtained by farmers as output. This study uses the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method with the output-oriented Variable Return to Scale (VRS) approach. Rice farmers who use two planting techniques show that rice farmers obtain more efficient profit values by applying the TABELA technique compared to the TAPIN technique. There are 4 rice farmers who use direct seed planting techniques, and only 2 rice farmers using the transplanting technique obtain efficient scale value against the profits, while rice farmers using the TABELA technique show that 3 TAPIN rice farmers do not achieve an efficient value on the profits.

Although social based, Zakat Institutions (OPZ) need to uphold professionalism, transparency and accountabilityin its management. Most recently, Zakat Core Principles is known as the measurement of zakat fundmanagement. This study would try to measure the efficiency of DompetDhuafas program as Decision Making Unit (DMU) in the level of efficiencyusing Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method. And also the research would look at the possibility of potential improvement from inefficient DompetDhuafas programs,input-output contribution and the reference contribution of the DMU.The results show that there are 6 DMU that efficient (100%) and inefficient as much as 18 DMU. The most inefficient program is wakaf fund (2012). In general, the main factor inefficiency ofDompetDhuafa program from 2010 to 2013 due to the distribution fund of DompetDhuafa program such as zakat, wakaf, humanity etc to ashnaf which is still less optimal. The distribution fund also has to increase up to 75.38%, then it is able to resolve the problem of poverty.

The aim of the present study is the representation of a method to identify and prioritize accident-prone sections (APSs) based upon efficiency concept to emphasize accidents with regard to traffic, geometric and environmental circumstances of road which can consider the interaction of accidents as well as their casual factors. This study incorporates the segmentation procedure into data envelopment analysis (DEA) technique which has no requirement of distribution function and special assumptions, unlike the regression models. A case study has been done on 144.4km length of Iran roads to describe the approach. Eleven accident-prone sections were identified among 154 sections obtained from the segmentation process and their prioritization was made based on the inefficiency values coming from DEA method. The comparisons demonstrated that the frequency and severity of accidents would not be only considered as the main factors for black-spots identification but proper rating can be possible by obtaining inefficiency values from this method for the road sections. This approach could applicably offer decision-making units for identifying accident-prone sections and their prioritizations. Also, it can be used to prioritize intersections, roundabouts or the total roads of the safety organization domain.

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) measures relative efficiency among the decision making units (DMU) without considering noise in data. The least efficient DMU indicates that it is in the worst situation. In this paper, we measure efficiency of individual DMU whenever it losses the maximum output, and the efficiency of other DMUs is measured in the observed situation. This efficiency is the minimum efficiency of a DMU. The concept of stochastic data envelopment analysis (SDEA) is a DEA method which considers the noise in data which is proposed in this study. Using bounded Pareto distribution, we estimate the DEA efficiency from efficiency interval. Small value of shape parameter can estimate the efficiency more accurately using the Pareto distribution. Rank correlations were estimated between observed efficiencies and minimum efficiency as well as between observed and estimated efficiency. The correlations are indicating the effectiveness of this SDEA model.

The creative economy is an economic sector that results from the development of creativity and ideas. Young entrepreneurs contribute to the improvement of the creative economy sector because they are considered easier to adapt technology, respond to market changes, and think creatively and innovatively. This study aims to evaluate the efficiency of the creative economy sector in entrepreneur students of the College of Economics (STIE). This study used the primary data of 50 entrepreneur students. The research was conducted using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method by analyzing the input to the output factors. The results showed that 7 out of 50 businesses run by STIE students reached 100% efficiency in January and February. Meanwhile, in March there were 9 businesses that achieved 100% efficiency. As many as 41 businesses have never reached 100% efficiency during January to March 2020. Efficiency improvements for inefficient businesses are carried out by referring to businesses that have been efficient by reducing production costs which include reducing the total cost of labor or raw materials.
