Pre operative anxiety occur in patients that undergoing anesthesia procedure and elective surgery. Music therapy is one of distraction technique , because music can reduce physiological pain, stress, and anxiety. Music therapy pushed down sympathy nerve system that reduce body stress respons. Music cause the brain release endorphine, increase dopamine level, and help rise up safety feeling. Find out the effect of music therapy to anxiety in pre general anesthesia patients in PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Hospital. This study uses a quasy experimental which aims to see the difference in pre anesthesia anxiety before and after given music therapy in intervention and control group. This study uses quasy experimental design here takes group pre test and post test with control sort design. Patients is given pre test and post test with APAIS scale, in intervention group with treatment. Samples in this study amounted to 20 respondents of control group and 20 respondents of intervension group. Data collection is done on May to June 2017. The result of collected data were processed using Wilcoxon test with significant α = 0,05. There is a difference of anxiety before and after in the intervention group using music therapy. Wilcoxon test results obtained Sig. 0,000 (<0.05) so that H1 is accepted or rejected H0. There is a significant effect of music therapy to anxiety on pre general anesthesia patients in PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Hospital.

Background: Mucositis is one of the side effects of chemotherapy, which can be a severe problem for children with cancer. Cryotherapy can cause vasoconstriction and decrease blood flow to the oral mucosa, resulting in lower concentrations of chemotherapy agents to prevent mucositis. This study aims at determining the effectiveness of oral cryotherapy as prophylaxis mucositis in children with cancer undergoing chemotherapy.Methods: This quasi-experiment study with a pretest-posttest control-group design involved 45 respondents (22 in the intervention group and 23 in the control group) selected using consecutive sampling. The data collection instrument was the WHO mucositis scale. Results: Of the 45 children undergoing chemotherapy, 24 (53.3%) were of school age, 25 (55.6%) were male, 33 (73.3%) had good nutritional status, and 17 (37.8%) had mild neutropenia before undergoing chemotherapy. All respondents (100%) did not experience mucositis, but after chemotherapy, 9 children (40.9%) in the intervention group had mucositis, and 19 children (82.6%) experienced mucositis in the control group. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon test to see the difference between the intervention group and the control group and the Chi-Square test with Yates’s correction to see the effect of cryotherapy on the prevention of mucositis. The results showed that there was a difference in the incidence of mucositis between before and after intervention in the intervention group (p = 0.003) and the control group (p = 0.000), and cryotherapy was effective in preventing mucositis (p = 0.01).Conclusions: Cryotherapy is effective against the prevention of mucositis. Nurses and families need to be able to apply oral cryotherapy and other evidence-based treatment as a method to prevent mucositis

Background: Airway management is the most important thing in resuscitation and requires special skills in the management of emergencies, therefore the first thing that must be assessed is the smoothness of the airway, which includes airway examinations that can be caused by foreign bodies. The lack of oxygen is a cause of rapid death. Research Objectives The general objective of this research is to improve the ability of airway management skills ordinary people in Kateguhan, Sawit, Boyolali. Methods: This research is an experimental study with a Pre-Test-Post Test one Group control design approach. through testing research hypotheses. The population of this research is the cloud community of 50 respondents which are divided into two groups,  25 respondents in the intervention group and 25 respondents as a control group. Statistical test in the paired group uses the nonparametric Wilcoxon test and the non-paired uses Mann-Whitney. Results: Based on the results of the Wilcoxon analysis test it can be concluded that the 25 respondents who conducted training in simulation measures by way of air way management training specifically airway obstruction can be drawn the conclusion that the majority of ordinary people have good knowledge in terms of emergency handling abilities, especially in air way management measures p value 0.001 which means that there are significant differences between before and after training. In the control group there were also significant differences with a P value of 0.001. Based on the Mann-Whitney test analysis, there were significant differences between the intervention and control groups with a p value of 0.001. Conclusion: Airway management education and training courses for lay people continue to be held to improve the ability of the action skills.

Background: Aspiration is common complication of dysphagia stroke due to cranial nerve damage, especially cranial nerves V, VII, IX, X and XII. Existing therapies to prevent aspiration is the compensation strategy therapy and semisolid nutritional therapy, but each of these therapies is still have a weakness, so it needs a new therapeutic method namely swallowing therapy which combine the advantages and reduce the weaknesses of each of the therapy. Aim of the study is to determine the effect of swallowing therapy on aspiration prevention in patients with dysphagia stroke.Methods: This research was a quasi-experimental research involving 16 respondents in the intervention group and 16 respondents in the control group who obtained through consecutive sampling techniques. Data was collected from February-March 2016 at the Stroke Unit RSUD Dr. Harjono Ponorogo through observations using Gugging Swallowing Screen (GUSS) instruments. Data analysis used in this research was wilcoxon test to determine the difference of swallowing therapy effect before and after intervention. Mann-Whitney test was also used to determine the difference of swallowing therapy effect between intervention group and control group after intervention.Results: There was a differences of swallowing therapy effect between pre-test and post-test in the intervention group (p = 0.002). In addition, there was no differences between pre-test and post-test in the control group (p = 0.157).Conclusions: Swallowing therapy have a positive effect against aspiration prevention in patients with dysphagia stroke, so it can be recommended as an acute care intervention in stroke patients at stroke unit.

Background: The coverage of 90 Fe tablets in Semarang in 2015 was 26.619 of 29.490 pregnant women (97%) but the incidence of anemia in pregnant women was still quite high. One important factor which influences the levels of hemoglobin is multi micronutrient.Objective: This study aims to analyze the changes in hemoglobin levels with multi micronutrient supplementation in pregnant women with anemia.Methods: A Quasy experimental study with randomized control group pre-post test design. The study samples were 40 pregnant women with gestational age of 20 ± 1 weeks divided into two groups, the intervention group (multi micronutrient supplementation) and the control group (Fe supplementation) for 6 weeks. The study was conducted from November 2016 to January 2017. The levels of hemoglobin were measured using cyanmethohemoglobin. Paired t test and independent t test were used for data analyses.Results: The mean increase in hemoglobin levels after multi micronutrient supplementation was 1.545 (1.292) g/dl, whereas the mean increase in hemoglobin levels after Fe supplementation was 0.757 (0.742) g/dl. The difference in hemoglobin levels before and after multi micronutrient supplementation was significantly different (p=0.049). Cohen’s d effect size test showed value of 0.748.Conclusion: Multi micronutrient supplementation could improve hemoglobin levels. Increase in the levels of hemoglobin with multi micronutrient supplementation was higher than Fe supplementation.

One of the nurse's functions is to provide toilet training to children. This study aims to analyze the effect of toileting training on mother's knowledge in toilet training for toddlers at PAUD Arrahman and Lare Angon Yogyakarta. This type of research is experimental with pretest - posttest design with control group. The sample was selected using a random sampling technique that met the criteria, namely mothers who have toddlers in PAUD in the Gamping District, Sleman, Yogyakarta. The first observation was carried out to measure the mother's knowledge about toilet training for toddlers before being given training and the second observation was carried out to measure knowledge after being given training. The difference in knowledge between before and after the intervention was analyzed using the Wilcoxon test, while the difference in knowledge between the intervention group and the control group was analyzed using the Mann Whitney-U test. The results showed that there was a difference in the increase in mother's knowledge about toilet training for toddlers between the experimental group and the control group (p = 0.000). Furthermore, it was concluded that toileting training using pocket books was effective for increasing mother's knowledge in toilet training for toddlers at PAUD Arrahman and Lare Angon Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh pelatihan toileting terhadap pengetahuan ibu dalam toilet training anak toddler di PAUD Arrahman dan Lare Angon Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimental dengan rancangan pretest - posttest with control group. Sampel dipilih dengan teknik random sampling yang memenuhi kriteria yaitu ibu yang mempunyai anak toddler di PAUD di wilayah Kecamatan Gamping, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Observasi pertama dilakukan untuk mengukur pengetahuan ibu tentang toilet training anak toddler sebelum diberikan pelatihan dan observasi kedua dilakukan untuk mengukur pengetahuan sesudah diberikan pelatihan. Perbedaan pengetahuan antara sebelum dan sesudah intervensi dianalisis menggunakan Wilcoxon test, sedangkan perbedaan pengetahuan antara kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol dianalisis menggunakan Mann Whitney-U test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan peningkatan pengetahuan ibu tentang toilet training anak toddler antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol (p = 0,000). Selanjutnya disimpulkan bahwa pelatihan toileting menggunakan buku saku efektif untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan ibu dalam toilet training anak toddler di PAUD Arrahman dan Lare Angon Yogyakarta. ObjectivesMindfulness-based interventions in the context of sports have been shown to result in higher mindfulness scores and improved physiological and psychological parameters. The goal of this pilot study was to investigate the effects of a newly developed seven-session mindfulness-based intervention, mindful emotions, on German tennis players.MethodsThe study was conducted in a pre–post test design with an intervention and a control group. Before and after the mindfulness-based stress reduction training the following dependent measurements were assessed: athletic performance (serve accuracy) and psychological performance indicators (mindfulness, stress and competition anxiety).ResultsThe results indicate a better performance of the intervention group for the difference scores between post-test and pre-test in one of the sport-related anxiety factors, the concentration disturbances index.ConclusionIn order to further investigate the effects of this mindfulness-based intervention in competitive sports, additional studies with a larger number of participants have to follow.

Abstrak Latar belakang:Di Indonesia dalam Riset Kesehatan Dasar tahun 2013 proporsi persalinan dengan bedah sesar menunjukkan sebesar 9,8% Provinsi Jawa Tengah sendiri untuk metode persalinan Caesar sebesar 10%. Bedah caesar merupakan bedah yang bukan tanpa resiko, risiko dari bedah Caesar ini merupakan potensi stressor yang dapat menyebabkan pasien operasi SC mengalami kecemasan.  Dunia kesehatan Islam, memasukkan dzikir sebagai salah satu upaya untuk mengatasi kecemasan. Tujuan: mengetahui pengaruh pemberian terapi dzikir terhadap penurunan tingkat kecemasan pada pasien post SC. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan quasy experiment dengan desain pre-post test design with control group. Sampel sebanyak 24 orang yang diambil secara sampel jenuh. Statistik yang digunakan adalah paired t test, wilcoxon test dan independent t test. Hasil uji Paired t Test diperoleh ada perbedaan (perubahan) tingkat kecemasan pasien post SC sebelum dan sesudah diberikan terapi dzikir pada kelompok intervensi nilai p = 0,000 > α = 0,05, terjadi penurunan rata-rata sebesar 9,917.  Hasil uji Wilcoxon diperoleh tidak ada perbedaan (perubahan) tingkat kecemasan pasien post SC sebelum dan sesudah diberikan komunikasi terapeutik pada kelompok kontrol nilai p = 0,636 > α = 0,05, penurunan yang terjadi yaitu hanya 0,83. Hasil uji Independent t Test diperoleh tidak ada perbedaan (perubahan) tingkat kecemasan pasien post SC sebelum dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan pada kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol dengan nilai p = 0,211 > α = 0,05. Kesimpulan: ada pengaruh pemberian terapi dzikir terhadap penurunan tingkat kecemasan pasien post operasi SC Kata kunci      : Kecemasan, Post SC, Dzikir AbstractBackground: In Indonesia in 2013 Basic Health Research the proportion of deliveries with cesarean section showed 9.8% of Central Java Province alone for the method of caesarean delivery by 10%. Caesarean section is a surgery that is not without risk, the risk of a C-section is a potential stressor that can cause SC surgery patients to experience anxiety. The world of Islamic health, incorporating dzikir as an effort to overcome anxiety. Objective: to determine the effect of dzikir therapy on reducing anxiety levels in post SC patients. Method: This study uses a quasy experiment with a pre-post test design with control group design. A sample of 24 people were taken in a saturated sample. The statistics used were paired t test, Wilcoxon test and independent t test. Results: Paired t Test results obtained there were differences (changes) in the anxiety level of post SC patients before and after given dzikir therapy in the intervention group the value of p = 0,000> α = 0.05, there was an average decrease of 9,917. The results of the Wilcoxon test obtained no difference (change) in the anxiety level of post SC patients before and after therapeutic communication in the control group p = 0.636> α = 0.05, the decrease that occurred was only 0.83. The results of the Independent t Test obtained no difference (change) in the anxiety level of post SC patients before and after treatment in the intervention group and the control group with a value of p = 0.211> α = 0.05. This study aims to determine the effect of health coaching on knowledge and attitudes about the prevention of tuberculosis transmission in patients who are still undergoing routine tuberculosis treatment in Tegal Regency. The research design used was a quasi-experiment with pre and post-test with the control group. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that in the intervention group that had been given health coaching for 4 (four) sessions, it had a significant effect on the knowledge and attitudes of the respondents compared to the control group that was not given health coaching. This can be seen from the difference in values ​​before and after being given health coaching treatment in the intervention group. Also, the results of the bivariate analysis using the independent t-test showed a p-value of 0.000 <0.05. In conclusion, there is an effect of the implementation of health coaching on knowledge and attitudes about the prevention of transmission of tuberculosis in tuberculosis patients in Tegal Regency.   Keywords: Health Coaching, Prevention of Tuberculosis Transmission, Knowledge, Attitude

This study aims to identify the effect of 1 minute hyperoxygenation on the suctioning process on oxygen saturation of patients with mechanical ventilators. Quasi experimental research design pre-post test with control group design. The sample in this study were 34 respondents who installed mechanical ventilators. Analysis using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed oxygen I saturation before median hyperoxygenation 97 min 95-99, after median hyperoxygenation 99 min 98-100 with p value 0.05. While in the intervention group II before median hyperoxygenation 97 min 95-100, after median hyperoxygenation 99 min 95-100, with p value 0.05. Conclusions there were significant differences in oxygen saturation before and after 1 minute hyperoxygenation administration.  Keywords: Hyperoxygenation, Suction Process, Oxygen Saturation, Ventilator.

Objective: To identify the effectiveness of beet juice administration on hemoglobin level of anemic pregnant women.Materials and Methods: This was an experimental quantitative study using pretest-posttest design with a total sample of 30 patients who were divided into 2 groups of treatment groups (beetroot + Fe) and control group (Fe). The treatment was carried out for 14 days. Before and after the treatment, the samples were subjected to hemoglobin examination. Data in this study were the difference between pre-test and post-test values, the results of normality test with Shapiro Wilk, and, to identify the difference between pre-test and post-test, the results of Wilcoxon Test for abnormal data and Paired T-Test for normal data.Results: Mann Whitney Test results between treatment and control groups revealed p (0.023) < alpha (0.05). There was a significant difference in hemoglobin levels between TM III pregnant women with anemia receiving beets and those receiving Fe tablets only.Conclusion: Minimum Hb increase before and after the administration of Fe and beetroot juice to pregnant women was 17.7 gr% and the maximum Hb level was 0.8 gr%.
