Objective: To identify the effectiveness of beet juice administration on hemoglobin level of anemic pregnant women.Materials and Methods: This was an experimental quantitative study using pretest-posttest design with a total sample of 30 patients who were divided into 2 groups of treatment groups (beetroot + Fe) and control group (Fe). The treatment was carried out for 14 days. Before and after the treatment, the samples were subjected to hemoglobin examination. Data in this study were the difference between pre-test and post-test values, the results of normality test with Shapiro Wilk, and, to identify the difference between pre-test and post-test, the results of Wilcoxon Test for abnormal data and Paired T-Test for normal data.Results: Mann Whitney Test results between treatment and control groups revealed p (0.023) < alpha (0.05). There was a significant difference in hemoglobin levels between TM III pregnant women with anemia receiving beets and those receiving Fe tablets only.Conclusion: Minimum Hb increase before and after the administration of Fe and beetroot juice to pregnant women was 17.7 gr% and the maximum Hb level was 0.8 gr%.

Background: Prediabetes is a condition which pioneers of DM. Diet management is the effective method to decrease fasting blood glucose (FBG) level. One of plant that correlates decreasing FBG level is Aloe vera. The purpose of  the study was to prove the effects of Aloe vera on FBG level in prediabetes women. Method: This study was quasi experiment with pre test-post test design. The subjects were people in Tlogosari Kulon Semarang who taken by consecutive sampling. Total subjects were 26 people which was divided in 2 groups. The treatment group was given juice Aloe vera 150 gram per day during 14 days and control group was not given juice Aloe vera. FBG level was measured before and after intervention using spectrofotometri method. During intervention, both of group recorded food intake using food record and food recall. Data was analyzed by Independent sample t-test, Mann Whitney test, and Wilcoxon test. Result : The decreasing of FBG level in treatment group was 20.38±14.7 (18.92%) mg/dl and control group was 0.38±11.12 mg /dl. Statistic analysis showed that there was significant difference at decreasing of FBG level in treatment group and control group. Conclusion : There was significant decreasing FBG level 20.38 mg/dl after given juice Aloe vera 150 gram per day during 14 days.

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the "patience training program" on the patience and life satisfaction levels of university students. The study was organized as a pre-test, post-test experiment and control group design. For a total of 30 students from which were 17 in the control group and 17 in the experimental group, patience training was given for 5 weeks. The "Patient Scale" developed by Schnitker (2010) and adapted to Turkish by Eliüşük and Arslan (2016) and the "Life Satisfaction Scale" developed by Diener, Emmons, Larsen and Griffin (1985) and adapted to Turkish by Dağlı and Baysal (2016) were used as a data collection tool in the study. The "Wilcoxon" test was used for the comparison of in-group differences in the analysis of obtained data and the "Mann-Whitney U" test was used in examining the differences between the two groups. As a result of the study, it was observed that the patience and life satisfaction average scores of students in the experimental group receiving "patience training" increased significantly, while there was no significant difference in the patience and life satisfaction averages scores of the control group students.

Vocabulary considered one of the important things to learn for students, the vocabulary is basic thing that students must be mastered in foreign language lessons, especially in English. Without vocabulary students will have difficulty in mastering skills in English such as writing, reading, listening and speaking.  Therefore, it is very important to find out the solution to enhance students’ vocabulary. The objective of the research is to find out whether or not using Jumbled letters can improve the students vocabulary of the tenth grade students in MAN 2 Barru and to find out whether or not using Crossword puzzle can improve the students vocabulary of the tenth grade students in MAN 2 Barru. This research applied quasi-experimental group design with two groups experimental and control class. The population of this research was the tenth grade students of MAN 2 Barru in academic year 2018/2019. The Total sample of the research was taken by using clustering random sampling which consisted of 141 students. From two classes taken from the population of the tenth grade students of MAN 2 Barru, X MIA 1 as the experimental class consisted 29 students and X MIA 3 as the control class that consisted 29 students. The result of the data analysis showed that there was a significant difference of students’ vocabulary before and after teaching vocabulary through jumbled word letters. The value of t-test pre-test 2.09 was higher than t-table 2.000, and the value of post-test 4.62 was higher than t-table 2.000, at the level significance a =0.05 and degree of freedom (df) = 56. It can be concluded that jumbled word letters can enhance the vocabulary of the tenth grade students’ of MAN 2 Barru

The current study determines the effectiveness of using task-based language instructions in teaching writing at a high school in Thai Nguyen province. The participants consist of 92 grade 10 students from Bing Yen high school, Dinh Hoa district. The study employs a mix method research design (MMR) as the plan for the research. The results of the study reveals that the results of writing performance were reported at a low level (M=3.72). The results also confirmed that the intervention worked well for the experimental group. The mean score of the pre-test (the baseline for both groups) was M=3.72. The intervention focused on TBLT instructions. After first five weeks, the means of post-test1 were M=4.96 and M=3.83 for experimental group and control group respectively. There was a significant difference between the mean of pre-test and post-test1 for the experimental group (M=3.72 compared to M=4.96), while the control group showed a little improvement (M=3.72 compared to M=3.83) the difference was not significant. After another five weeks, the difference in the mean scores of the experimental group were far more than the mean scores of the control group, M=5.56 and M=4.45 respectively. By the end of the fifteenth week of the intervention, the mean of post-test 3 of the experimental group reached M=6.41, the mean for control group was M=5.54. The difference of the mean scores in the pre-test and post-test revealed a significant improvement in both groups. However, the experimental group showed a greater improvement, M=6.41 and M=5.54 respectively. It can infer that the uses of TBLT writing instruction improved writing achievement greatly.

Pre operative anxiety occur in patients that undergoing anesthesia procedure and elective surgery. Music therapy is one of distraction technique , because music can reduce physiological pain, stress, and anxiety. Music therapy pushed down sympathy nerve system that reduce body stress respons. Music cause the brain release endorphine, increase dopamine level, and help rise up safety feeling. Find out the effect of music therapy to anxiety in pre general anesthesia patients in PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Hospital. This study uses a quasy experimental which aims to see the difference in pre anesthesia anxiety before and after given music therapy in intervention and control group. This study uses quasy experimental design here takes group pre test and post test with control sort design. Patients is given pre test and post test with APAIS scale, in intervention group with treatment. Samples in this study amounted to 20 respondents of control group and 20 respondents of intervension group. Data collection is done on May to June 2017. The result of collected data were processed using Wilcoxon test with significant α = 0,05. There is a difference of anxiety before and after in the intervention group using music therapy. Wilcoxon test results obtained Sig. 0,000 (<0.05) so that H1 is accepted or rejected H0. There is a significant effect of music therapy to anxiety on pre general anesthesia patients in PKU Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Hospital.

One of stressor in college students is taking a final project as a graduation requirement. The body'sresponse toward stress includes a rise of heart rate, diarrhea and insomnia. One of stressmanagement is affirmation relaxation (AR) technique. This research aimed to analyze the influenceof AR technique towards stress on students who take a final project in Faculty of Nursing, UniversityOf Jember. This research used a quasi experiment with Pretest-Post test approach and controlgroup design. Sampling technique that used is purposive sampling with respondent divided into twogroups, the treatment group and control group with 15 respondents for each group. Data wasanalyzed by using Dependent t test and Independent t test with 95% CI. The result showed thatthere was a significant difference stress before and after given AR technique within average 19,2 to10,87 (p = 0,001). Mean while, there was no significant difference of stress between pretest and posttest in control group within average 18,73 to 18,4 (p = 0,841). Overall, there was a difference ofstress between treatment group and control group (p =0,02, α = 0,05). The AR techniques reducestress because it can influence the sympathetic and parasympathetic nerves to produce endorphinehormone. The conclusion of this research is there was an influence of AR technique towards stresson students who Taking a Final Project in Faculty of Nursing University of Jember.Keywords: affirmation relaxation technique, stress, final project.

Background: Anemia during pregnancy is one of the most common disorders in pregnant women in Indonesia. The Government has made efforts to overcome this problem, however, the rate of anemic mothers remains high. Rosella (Hibiscus Sabdariffa) is considered able to increase the hemoglobin levels in pregnant mothers.Objective: To analyze the effect of Rosella flower extract (Hibiscus Sabdariffa) on the increase of Hemoglobin level in pregnant women with anemia receiving Fe tablet.Methods: This study was a quasy experiment with pretest-posttest control group design conducted in November - December 2016 in the working area of Tlogosari Wetan Community Health Center. Forty-two participants were selected using accidental sampling, which 21 assigned in the experiment and control group. All samples were pregnant women in the second trimester suffering from anemia and receiving iron tablets. Hemoglobin levels were measured using hematology analyzer in laboratory. Independent t-test and paired t-test were used for data analysis.Results: Paired t-test obtained p-value 0.00 (<0.05), indicated that there was an increase of hemoglobin levels in both experiment and control group. The mean increase of hemoglobin levels in the control group was 0.61 gr and in the experiment group was 1.08. The hemoglobin levels in the experiment group were higher than the levels in the control group.  Independent t-test obtained p-value 0.000 (<0.05) indicating that there was a significant difference of mean of hemoglobin levels between the control group and the treatment group.Conclusion: The consumption of rosella extract combined with Fe tablet showed a significant increase of hemoglobin levels compared with the consumption of Fe tablet alone. Therefore, it is suggested for midwife to use the result of this research as a evidence practice through counseling for pregnant mother about utilization of rosella extract that can increase hemoglobin level in pregnant woman with anemia.

Iron deficiency is the most common pathologic cause of anemia among pregnant women. Pregnant women with clinically significant iron deficiency may present with fatigue, weakness, pallor, tachycardia, and shortness of breath. An intervention is needed to improve hemoglobin among anemic pregnant women. This study aimed to analyze the effect of iron with orange extract on hemoglobin among anemic pregnant women in the Brang Rea health centers, Sumbawa Barat Regency, Nusa Tenggara Barat Province in 2017. The design was a quasi-experimental study. The population was 30 pregnant women who were anemic at the Brang Rea health center. A total population was used for sampling technique. Thirty anemic pregnant women were divided into the experiment and control group without randomization. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results showed that there was a significant difference in hemoglobin before and after the intervention (p = 0.001, t = -21.1), and there was a significant difference in hemoglobin between the experimental group and the control group (p = 0.001, t = 5.19). Consuming iron, together with orange extract, could increase hemoglobin among anemic pregnant women. Nurses and midwives need to share health education about the way to consume iron to prevent anemia among pregnant women.

The objective of this research is to examine the impact of “Great Mom Great Children” training to improve young street mother stimulation skill. The subjects of the research are from Yogyakarta. They are young homeless mothers who are commonly referred to as a street mother, young mothers who are less than 18 years old, mothers for unwanted pregnancy, mothers who have 0 to 5 years old children and mothers who are upbringing their children themselves. The experiment design used in this research is untreated control group design with dependent pretest and post-test sample. The data is collected by using Children Stimulation Skill Development Scale. The researchers perform Wilcoxon Test to examine the difference between stimulation skill level before and after the test. The result suggested that there was a significant difference before and after the treatment was given. It can be seen from Z=-1,755 and p=0,079) (2-tailed)/0, 0395 (1-tailed) with p&lt;0.05. Also, the result of Mann Whitney U-test showed that the average level of stimulation skill in experiment group participant was higher than that of control group participant with the result of pretest-posttest (p= 0,074 (2-tailed)/ p= 0.037 (1-tailed) where p&lt;0.05 which meant significant. In conclusion,“Great Mom Great Children” training is an effective method to improve children’ stimulation skill for young street mothers.

This research aimed to know the effect of using metacognitive strategy towards student’s reading comprehension. The design was quasi-experimental. The sample consists of 69 students in two classes. The instrument consists of reading test which was tried out. The treatment for the experiment group was metacognitive strategy and for the control group was the strategy that the teacher use in the class. The data were collected through pre-test and post-test. The activity in the classroom during six meetings, two meetings for pre-test and post-test and four meetings for teaching in the classroom. The data was analyzed by The Wilcoxon Test and The Mann-Whitney Test. The Wilcoxon Test for the control group showed that there was no significant difference between pre-test and post-test. The Wilcoxon test for the experiment group showed that there was significant difference between pre-test and post-test. The Mann-Whitney test for pre-test showed that there was no significant difference between experiment and control class. The Mann-Whitney test for post-test showed that there was significant difference between experiment and control class. Finding of the research showed that, there was significant difference between pre-test and post-test for the experiment class and there was significant differece between experiment and control class for post-test result. This result indicated that there was an effect of metacognitive strategy towards student’s reading comprehension
