Abstract. CV. X is a company engaged in the leather industry that manufactures wallets, bags and key chains. The company experienced a decrease in sales volume due to a decrease in product quality from defective products in the company. Leather bags have an average percentage of disability of 2.39% in 2017-2018 from the company's disability limit of 2%. The existence of these defective products requires companies to improve product quality to reduce the occurrence of defects. The method used to solve the problems that are being faced by the company is the Seven Tools Quality Control method to identify the causes of product defects, while the Rezhenija Izobretatelskih Zadach (TRIZ) method is used to design a product quality improvement plan. The result of data processing which becomes the main priority is defect cutting. The causes of cutting defects include decreased work concentration, inadequate workers, poor physical condition, no machine maintenance, blunt cutting machines, high cutting machine use intensity, work environment, hot room temperature, lack of work space lighting. All causes of product defects are designed to improve the quality of leather bag products by creating visual controls, forms for worker health, cutting knife replacement machines, installing air conditioners, and adding lights to the sewing machine. Abstrak. CV. X merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri kulit yang memproduksi dompet, tas, dan gantungan kunci. Perusahaan mengalami penurunan volume penjualan yang disebabkan karena adanya penurunan kualitas produk dari produk cacat di perusahaan. Tas kulit memiliki rata-rata persentase kecacatan sebesar 2,39% pada tahun 2017-2018 dari batas kecatatan yang ditetapkan perusahaan sebesar 2%. Adanya produk cacat tersebut mengharuskan perusahaan melakukan perbaikan kualitas produk untuk mengurangi terjadinya kecacatan. Metode yang digunakan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan yang sedang dihadapi oleh perusahaan yaitu metode Seven Tools Quality Control untuk mengidentifikasi penyebab terjadinya kecacatan produk, sedangkan metode Teorija Rezhenija Izobretatelskih Zadach (TRIZ) digunakan untuk membuat rancangan perbaikan kualitas produk. Hasil pengolahan data yang menjadi prioritas utama yaitu cacat potong. Penyebab cacat potong diantaranya yaitu konsentrasi kerja menurun, pekerja kurang hati-hati kondisi fisik kurang baik, tidak ada perawatan mesin, mesin potong tumpul, intesitas penggunaan mesin potong tinggi, lingkungan kerja, suhu ruangan panas, pencahayaan ruang kerja kurang. Semua penyebab cacat produk dibuat rancangan perbaikan untuk meningkatkan kembali kualitas produk tas kulit dengan membuat visual control, form untuk kesehatan pekerja, mesin penggantian pisau potong, pemasangan AC, serta penambahan lampu pada meisn jahit.

This journal presents research on improving product quality in a company. This study aims to identify the factors that cause disability in a product and propose follow-up solutions in order to improve the quality of a product. The method used in the study is the fishbone diagram and the Kipling method (5W + 1H) to improve product quality. The product under study is a yarn product manufactured in the second building of the company. There are 8 types of product defects that cause product quality to decline and are not suitable for sale, which can result in losses to the company, which are not good spools, dirty spools, yarn spools of different diameters, spools of cross yarn, spools of loose yarn, defective cones, incorrect cone types and the weight of the yarn is distorted. From all types of defects, the result shows that the most defects are in the category of bad roll defects of 31%, with the number of defective products of 215 spools of the total defective products of 716 spools. After conducting research, it was concluded that product defects occur due to lack of machine maintenance, mistakes from operators when installing the machine. If the company can reduce the occurrence of defects or damage to the yarn product, it will benefit a lot.

Quality control becomes an important key for companies in suppressing the number of defective produced products. Six Sigma is a quality control method that aims to minimize defective products to the lowest point or achieve operational performance with a sigma value of 6 with only yielding 3.4 defective products of 1 million product. Stages of Six Sigma method starts from the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) stages that help the company in improving quality and continuous improvement. Based on the results of research on baby clothes products, data in March 2018 the percentage of defective products produced reached 1.4% exceeding 1% tolerance limit, with a Sigma value of 4.14 meaning a possible defect product of 4033.39 opportunities per million products. In the pareto diagram there were 5 types of CTQ (Critical to Quality) such as oblique obras, blobor screen printing, there is a fabric / head cloth code on the final product, hollow fabric / thin fabric fiber, and dirty cloth. The factors caused quality problems such as Manpower, Materials, Environtment, and Machine. Suggestion for consideration of company improvement was continuous improvement on every existing quality problem like in Manpower factor namely improving comprehension, awareness of employees in producing quality product and improve employee's accuracy, Strength Quality Control and give break time. Materials by making the method of cutting the fabric head, the Machine by scheduling machine maintenance and the provision of needle containers at each employees desk sewing and better environtment by installing exhaust fan and renovating the production room.

Decision making is an individual activity that is directly involved in obtaining and using the goods offered. Promotion is one of the variables in a marketing mix that is very important to be implemented by a company in marketing its products or services, thus influencing consumers to make purchasing decisions. The quality of the product can also affect consumers in making purchasing decisions. This study aims to analyze the effect of product quality and promotion on purchasing decision of Melon fruit. Population and sample of research is purchasing or buyer from consumer of PT. Syafina Niaga as many as 30 companies and sampling methods using saturated sampling techniques as well as analysis used with regression analysis. The results showed that there is a significant influence between product quality and promotion of purchasing decisions.

Abstract PT. COCA-COLA BOTTLING INDONESIA is a company engaged in the field of Agro-industry is bottling soft drinks and not sparkling. The products produced are Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta, and Tea. To be able to compete with similar industries then the company implements quality control by Statistical Process Control method. In the development of this SPC many methods there are manual or who use the software. Currently PT. Coca-Cola Bottling Indonesia in quality control using Time Charting method, but since the transition from Minitab to Time Charting the tendency of the value of capability below standard, whereas production data is almost the same as using Minitab. The purpose of this research is to analyze the inequality of Statistical Process Control between Minitab 13 and Time Charting. Time Charting method is a new method that is given by the headquarters for the process of quality control can be fast and accurate. Quality control with the Statistical Process Control of Minitab and Time Charting methods after the results of the research results was found to be part of different LSL and USL charging, and Calculate Statistic Using different from Minitab method should still be 6 but in written procedure 3. For writing LSL And USL if the Time Charting is determined by the head office while Minitab analysts fill in based on experiments on the decrease of gas volume marketed in previous years. From the research results obtained Cpk data for Minitab method 13 is Sprite 390 ml 1.47, Sprite 1000 ml 1.90 and Sprite 1500 ml 1.38. The result of the research was using Minitab method and the Charting Time of Capacity that is above 1.33 average. The causes of the resulting inequality of both methods are the LSL, USL and Calculate Statistic Using values. The smaller the value of Calculate Statistic Using the higher Cpk produced. One way to increase profitability internally in PT Mangul Jaya - Bekasi is decreasing any costs produced from poor product quality by producing shoes with good quality. This study uses the DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve, control) method as a measuring tool. DMAIC is a quality improvement method that directly solves any problems related to the quality of a product even the primary cause of it. From the results of the study it is concluded that at the phase “define” shoes type Cheetah is the most problematic. Furthermore, on phase “measurement” it is identified that the Cp value of the Cheetah is below 1 which means that the process capability is low. After passing through the three sequencing steps (analyze, improve and control), finally this research is able to reduce the defects that occur in the shoes type Cheetah.

Production of metalware is characterized with a great variety of shapes and sizes, originality of each product and a multiple-stage process. Various techniques used to process steel sections (such as cold and hot forming, machining, heat treatment, etc.) make it significantly more difficult to tackle product quality problems. Modern product quality management methodologies are based on a wide use of economical, organizational, technical and other methods. This paper describes a production-related quality control method involving certain elements of robust design. This method is based on the definition of noise factors and control parameters, as well as the conduction of noise and principal experiments. The noise experiment will help estimate the impact of disturbing factors (environmental or industrial) on product quality indicators, whereas the principal experiment will help identify the optimum production mode that can deliver the best quality and, at the same time, minimize the production losses. Robust design techniques can be effectively utilized to control the quality of metalware when developing new and optimizing the existing processes. The paper gives an example of how the quality of S10S steel bars can be controlled through the application of efficient production modes enabling to minimize quality-related costs.

 The paper analyzes structural alternatives in the implementation of infrastructure projects on the example of main gas pipelines. Particular attention is paid to the impact of various forms of procurement procedures on the course and result of the implementation of the infrastructure project as a whole. It is shown that the choice of procurement method can influence the structure of incentives and risks of the parties involved, as well as indirectly impact on the establishment of the market price setting, the level of product quality in the industry, and the complex cost of project implementation. Noting the extreme importance of the issues of ensuring the quality of the products used, the authors review the available structural alternatives for organizing quality control, show the possible mechanisms of the influence of the downtime of enterprises on reducing the level of industry competencies.
