This review provides a general foreign overview of the current understanding and  prevalence of professional burnout among medical workers and summarizes the emerging trends in the management of the organization of work of nurses, preventing burnout, and an analysis of practices aimed at preventing burnout. Burnout negatively affects both mental and physical health, as well as increases economic losses and employee turnover.Burnout depends on factors such as job satisfaction, professional rank, hospital level, gender, professional values, negative emotions, and core competencies.Burnout syndrome is closely related to compassion fatigue syndrome, compassionate gratification and is part of the broader concept of professional quality of life. Compassion refers to recognition, understanding, emotional resonance, empathic concern and tolerance for the suffering of others, and motivation and action in relationships to help others.The analysis of foreign literature has shown the relevance of this problem and, first of all, for nurses. The peculiarities of the work of nurses lead to the fact that their burnout is higher than among other medical workers. Various approaches to the management of professional burnout have been proposed. Burnout management can focus on the organization, the individual, or a combination of interventions.When people have a positive belief system, work involvement, and access to many personal resources, they are less likely to experience stress and burnout.Nursing burnout has worsened during the COVID-19 period and has exposed new pressing health issues. The COVID-19 pandemic has shown a shortage of nurses and has become a major problem in many countries.The attitude of the community, the importance and the need for specialized and professional care, especially in situations of great difficulty and suffering, is important for medical personnel. Public sincere gratitude for the work of healthcare professionals will help build compassion for professionals who risk their lives to help people.

The aim: Based on previous studies, develop medical and psychological recommendations to increase the motivation for the work of nurses and medical assistants. Materials and methods: During 2015–2018 Students of the Kharkov Regional Medical College (100 experimental people and 100 control groups) studied the types of motivation of medical personnel to work in key positions. The article analyzes the relationship between motivation and the individual – typological characteristics of the person using the psychodiagnostic methodology of the individually – typological questionnaire L.N. Sobchik and author’s profile A.V. Grishnyaeva. Results: Аfter analyzing the above data, we can say that a combination of motivation or its absence with certain individual and typological characteristics of individuals leads to different results of adaptation to the primary positions of future medical workers. The imbalance of individual-personality structures and motivation leads to an accentuation of character, which contributes to maladaptation and professional burnout. Conditions: Given the connection between motivation and individual – typological characteristics of the personality, it is possible to make the correct personnel distribution and prevent the professional burnout of employees.

The concept of "personality" is multifaceted and multifaceted in its basis, and therefore, in science has always been a great difficulty in determining its essence and content. For example, in Antiquity, "personality" as such, dissolves in the concept of "society". There is no "human" yet, but there is a genus, a community, a people that are only quantitatively formed from the mass of different individuals, governed and subordinated to any one idea (custom, tribal or ethno-religious) espoused by this society. In other words, in such societies, the individual was not unique and unique; his personality (we understand - personality) was limited to the general, the collective. This is confirmed by the Jewish and early Christian texts.

During the Restoration and the Second Republic, up until the outbreak of the Civil War, the prison system that was developed in Spain had a markedly liberal character. This system had begun to acquire robustness and institutional credibility from the first dec- ade of the 20th Century onwards, reaching a peak in the early years of the government of the Second Republic. This process resulted in the establishment of a penitentiary sys- tem based on the widespread and predominant values of liberalism. That liberal belief system espoused the defence of social harmony, property and the individual, and penal practices were constructed on the basis of those principles. Subsequently, the Civil War and the accompanying militarist culture altered the prison system, transforming it into an instrument at the service of the conflict, thereby wiping out the liberal agenda that had been nurtured since the mid-19th Century.

The relevance of the study of individual psychological characteristics of employees of criminal investigation departments in transport in the North-Western Federal district of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia (hereinafter referred to as the NWFD) in relation to indicators of professional deformation is due to the specific features of their official activities. Despite a significant amount of research on the phenomenon of professional deformity of police officers, there are few thoroughly developed and completed works on the prevention of professional deformities of police officers. The purpose of our research was to study the individual psychological characteristics of employees of criminal investigation departments in connection with the risk of professional deformation. The results of the empirical study were processed by correlation and factor analysis (49 parameters). The results of the initial analysis showed that the overall assessment of job satisfaction among employees of the studied departments is average with a downward trend. The results of the study on «professional burnout» revealed that a number of employees surveyed are close to emotional exhaustion. It is established that empathic abilities, social intelligence, and constructive coping strategies play an important role in the structure of individual psychological characteristics of police officers. Low ability of employees to learn behavior determines non-constructive strategies and models for coping with stressful situations, which leads to deformation of relationships with other people, i.e. to professional deformation. The obtained data can be used as the basis for the program of psychoprophylaxis of professional deformation of criminal investigation units in transport in the northwestern Federal district.

The purpose of the study is to improve the adaptation system for personnel in a multidisciplinary hospital. Results: the problems of organizing the adaptation process were identified, the methods of analysis and assessment of the management of the adaptation process in a medical organization were adapted, the effectiveness of the existing system of adaptation of medical workers in the organization was assessed. Conclusion: the study proved the need for a more complete and high-quality adaptation process; the process is not static, a creative approach is needed, taking into account the characteristics of the organization (team) and the individual abilities of a specialist; to improve the organization, for the effective adaptation of medical personnel, it is necessary to develop the institution of mentoring.

AbstractIn the last hundred years surgery has experienced a dramatic increase of scientific knowledge and innovation. The need to consider best available evidence and to apply technical innovations, such as minimally invasive approaches, challenges the surgeon both intellectually and manually. In order to overcome this challenge, computer scientists and surgeons within the interdisciplinary field of “cognitive surgery” explore and innovate new ways of data processing and management. This article gives a general overview of the topic and outlines selected pre-, intra- and postoperative applications. It explores the possibilities of new intelligent devices and software across the entire treatment process of patients ending in the consideration of an “Intelligent Hospital” or “Hospital 4.0”, in which the borders between IT infrastructures, medical devices, medical personnel and patients are bridged by technology. Thereby, the “Hospital 4.0” is an intelligent system, which gives the right information, at the right time, at the right place to the individual stakeholder and thereby helps to decrease complications and improve clinical processes as well as patient outcome.

IntroductionThis is the first comprehensive evaluation of Burnout Syndrome across the UK Intensive Care Unit workforce and in all three Burnout Syndrome domains: Emotional Exhaustion, Depersonalisation and lack of Personal Accomplishment.MethodsA questionnaire was emailed to UK Intensive Care Society members, incorporating the 22-item Maslach Burnout Inventory Human Services Survey for medical personnel. Burnout Syndrome domain scores were stratified by ‘risk’. Associations with gender, profession and age-group were explored.ResultsIn total, 996 multi-disciplinary responses were analysed. For Emotional Exhaustion, females scored higher and nurses scored higher than doctors. For Depersonalisation, males and younger respondents scored higher.ConclusionApproximately one-third of Intensive Care Unit team-members are at ‘high-risk’ for Burnout Syndrome, though there are important differences according to domain, gender, age-group and profession. This data may encourage a more nuanced understanding of Burnout Syndrome and more personalised strategies for our heterogeneous workforce.

A continuously competitive forest market and tied to the demands for wood products promotes the study and development of applications that increase the revenue of the forest enterprises. At harvesting, the cutting pattern (forest assortment) in which the trees are traced is traditionally determined by the experience of the chainsaw operator without using any optimization technique, which may result in economic losses in relation to the commercialized products. In general, there are numerous distinct assortments that can be chosen and hardly processed by a brute-force algorithm. This is the forest assortment problem at the individual tree level with the objetice of maximizing the commercial values of the felled trees. stem-level bucking optimization problem. The aim is to maximize the sales value of harvested trees. Dynamic Programming (DP) is an efficient optimization technique to determine the optimum bucking tree as it significantly reduces the number of calculations to be made. Thus, the objective of this work was to develop a modern and intuitive computational system that is able to find the optimum tree stem bucking through DP to help companies over the bole tracing, therefore, characterizing itself as a tool that supports decision making. After the execution of the system, the optimum assortment is shown by sequentially detailing all products that should be removed from the analyzed bole as well as their respective volumes and revenue.
