According to problems of flatness error measurement of revolving body end-face, sampling method and evaluation method are studied in this paper. First, spiral sampling method is presented, in order to meet the needs of flatness error measurement sampling of revolving body end-face. Second, combined with least squares method, mathematical model applied to flatness error measurement evaluation of revolving body end-face is proposed. Finally, through the simulation, the mathematical model is proved to be correct.

Today modular construction is gaining popularity in the arrangement of production facilities. The purpose of the research is the theoretical substantiation of the choice of the optimal thickness of thermal insulation for external protections of modular buildings taking into account the evaluation criteria based on the method of hierarchy analysis. The article reflects the possibility of using modular buildings for residential and public needs. Given the peculiarities of the use of thermal insulation materials, such structures are erected in a short period of time due to the use of ready-made modules. It is also proposed to use multicriteria analysis to compare different thicknesses of thermal insulation of a modular building. The obtained results are presented in the form of petal diagrams and diagrams of global priorities, which made it possible to make an in-depth assessment of several thicknesses of thermal insulation. When conducting theoretical research, it should be noted that the importance of each of the criteria was taken into account for the selection of thermal insulation. An expert assessment was performed to determine the thickness of thermal insulation, which can be used for lightweight prefabricated structures of modular buildings. As a result of research, it was found that the most suitable thermal insulation material is polyurethane.

Our article concentrates to the main aim – to assess the impact of emigration on an origin economy. This topic was chosen because the theoretical research has disclosed that the positive impact of emigration usually manifests through monetary transfers to a native country while the negative impact mainly emerges as a reduction in the labour force, which, in its turn, causes deterioration of a country’s demographic and economic situation. It has been found that the growing flows of emigration significantly reduce Lithuanian population and cause “brain drain”. High emigration rates also have a negative impact on Lithuanian national economy, in particular, its unemployment rate (the opposite effect). To reduce the rates of emigration from the country, Lithuania must develop and improve such ALPM’s elements as combination of work and dual vocational training, targeted selection of the industries for arrangement of an apprenticeship, manual training, dual vocational training and workplace training, segmentation of the unemployed by the indications of employment impediment, individual work with the unemployed to restore their basic skills (motivation, practice, health improvement), vocational guidance of young people (students) and early involvement of students into the labour market by combining studies and work.

The deep narrow groove of the coupling plate and side with WC-CO coating was grinded by diamond wheel with metal bond and vitrified bond. The side of the deep trench flatness error was less than 0.02 mm, the bottom of the tank around the corner radius was less than 0.3mm. The type of porosity, particle sizes, surface roughness were measured by experiments, the data for the selection of the grinding wheel bond varieties. The experimental results show that grinding wheel with vitrified bond was suitable for parts of small coating porosity, fine particle size, surface roughness, and others were suitable for the grinding wheel with metal binder.

The principles of a new in-process measurement and control system for flatness errors in machining have been introduced. The laser-based system consists of a stylus, a geometrical table measurement system, and a forecasting compensatory controller. Through the application of the proposed system to simulated and actual cutting data it has been shown that improvements of flatness on the order of 80 percent are feasible.

In the first part of the article are presented the most important reasons for the recent increase in interest in the sociology of everyday life. Some of them are related to the situation in which sociology as a whole finds itself today (for example the interest, typical for the sociology of everyday life, in the processes occurring on the micro-level may be treated as the result of the fears of sociologists about the investigation of increasingly hidden macro-structural processes). The fashion for the sociology of everyday life seems also to be a result of the calculation of sociologists; the sociology of everyday life turns out to be a beneficial theoretical research position, allowing compromise between many traditionally opposing theoretical positions (such as actor-structure, the creation and reproduction of rules for collective order etc.). The attraction of the sociology of everyday life is due to the fact that it gives hope for the modernisation of the “tool kit” of sociology and is an attempted remedy for boredom in the “Post-Modern Sociology”, at least in the sense that it again proposes sociologists to focus attention more on similarities than differences. In the second part of the article, the author concentrates on a selection of the problems with which the sociology of everyday life is faced. The most important of them can be summarised by the question: why do we study everyday life? The answer to this question is an attempt to define three different explanatory models according to which everyday practice is seen as (1) a reflection of phenomena and processes which occur at a macrostructural level, or (2) a preview of macrostructural changes or, finally, 3) an autonomic sphere of social life which cannot be treated as an “indicator”.

The main purpose of the article is to identify the state of knowledge between two multidimensional phenomena: commercialization of innovation and internationalization. In terms of research methods, a systematic literature review, based on the 91 publications located in reputable scientific databases (Scopus and Web of Science) between the years 2000–2017 and Rapid Automatic Keyword Extraction (RAKE), was applied. The main findings provide information on the concept of commercialization of innovations via internationalization, and specifically on different research perspectives and areas of analysis with division of the bibliometric data. The selection of the articles for further analysis is perceived as the main limitation of this study, as some papers may not have been included due to missing keywords or due to having been absent from the two selected databases. The article analyses theoretical research and empirical papers and enables identification of problems in the current research as well as identifying trends in the area of the studied phenomenon. The results on the topic of commercialization of innovation through internationalization have indicated that this issue is still in a premature phase but with an upward trend of research development.

To reduce the computational resources, experimental design and response surface method (RSM) were employed to investigate the aerodynamic drag coefficient (CD) and lift coefficient (CL) of airfoils by using CFD methods. The selection of sample points, development and validation of response surface model and the effects of different sample points on approximation model were discussed. The results indicates that the number and distribution of sample points have a significant impact on model accuracy and optimize results. Also this method can greatly reduce calculation amount.

A new flatness error measurement method was proposed for large quantities of E-type AC relay, which was consisted of three discontinuous plane. The research object of this thesis is on both sides of the work piece plane. The relay was measured by utilizing multiple laser displacement sensors, and used the development of PC software to extract the measurement key points and process the collected data, which was used the method of least squares to calculate more accurate flatness error value. This method can achieve substandard work-piece fast sorting and rapid online measure.

This article reviews the data collection process. This process is of crucial importance because data offer empirical answers to theoretical research questions. Although the literature provides a wealth of instruction on the treatment of already collected data, far less has been written about the selection of the data. The present view focuses on this overlooked portion of research methodology. An actual illustration is used to demonstrate the factual decisions and procedures that may be used in any data collection process.
