Teachers would work professionally when they have high work motivation because it is such a mental boost that comes from inside and outside of themselves which help to carry out the task of achieving the goals / objectives that have been set with full of awareness and responsibility. The aims of this study are to determine the effect of: participatory leadership, toward teachers’ work motivation partially and simultaneously. This study used quantitative approach. Among 287 populations of public junior high school teachers in Pemalang district, 167 respondents were chosen using the proportional random sampling technique. The data analysis used in this study is descriptive analysis, classic assumption test and regression test using SPSS version 17 for Windows. The results shows that (1) simple regression test for variable X on Y obtained the correlation value (r) = 0.915, meaning that the correlation was incredibly strong, with Adjusted R2 = 0.837, meaning that the influence of participatory leadership on teachers’ work motivation is 83.7% and remaining at 16,3% accounting teacher performance is determined by factors other than research.Keywords: Participatory Leadership, Teachers’ Work Motivation

This study looks into the impact of the principal's democratic leadership style on teacher performance in junior high schools in Palopo City's Bara District. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of research is ex-post facto. The population is all junior high school teachers in the Bara sub-district of Palopo city, totaling 134 people. Sampling was done by simple random sampling technique. The sample used was 39 teachers—data obtained through questionnaires and documentation. Furthermore, the research data were analyzed statistically using data processing, namely: Descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. This study found that the democratic leadership style displayed by the principal has a strong influence and significance on the performance of teachers in SMP/MTs in Bara District, Palopo City. This is because the leadership style displayed by the principal through several indicators can provide a significant enough stimulant to the teacher so that teachers' work motivation can increase adequately, which impacts the achievement of educational and learning goals in schools. This study implies the importance of the leadership style displayed by the principal in building teacher motivation and commitment in schools to generate optimal teacher performance in schools.

The objectives of this study are (1) Contribution of certification to teacher work motivation, (2) Contribution of the school climate to teacher work motivation, (3) Contribution of certification allowances and school climate together to work motivation. This type of research is quantitative correlational in nature, the population in this study were all junior high school teachers in Kinali sub-district with the status of civil servants with a population of 107 people, a sample of 30 people taken using the startified proportional random sampling technique. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, data analysis techniques (1) description of data, (2) testing requirements analysis and (3) testing hypotheses. The results of the study prove that (1) There is a contribution of certification to work motivation because certification contributes 25.6% to the teacher's work motivation (2) the school climate contributes 28.3% to the teacher's work motivation (3) certification and the school climate together contribute 37.5% to the motivation of the teacher's work. Suggestions that can be put forward based on the findings to improve the work motivation of the teacher are expected that the principal can provide certification allowances to teachers who meet the requirements. To increase the work motivation of teachers, it is necessary to fix the low school climate, the Supervisors to provide a school climate of cooperation with teachers in accordance with technological developments. The education office's policy in terms of managing learning in schools should aim at increasing certification allowances.

This study aims to improve teacher competence in planning authentic assessments with group guidance. The research method used is classroom action research. The research subjects were 10 teachers at Mandau 011 Junior High School. The timing of the research is carried out in two cycles starting on Monday 11 February to Saturday 23 February 2019. Analysis of the data used is qualitative in the form of data reduction, data presentation, and data inference. While for quantitative data descriptive analysis is carried out by calculating the average value and percentage. The results of the study indicate an increase in the competency of 011 Mandau Junior High School teachers in planning authentic assessments with group guidance. there is a cycle I of the average teacher competence of 70,6 with sufficient categories. The average teacher competency in the second cycle is 76,3 which is included in the good category. Classically, as many as 90% of teachers have been able to plan authentic assessments properly.

The purpose of this study are: (1) Finding out how much is the influence of school culture on educational quality, (2) Finding out how much is the influence of the competence of teachers to the quality of education, and (3) Finding out how much is the influence of school culture and teacher competence collectively to the quality of education. The population in this study was all State junior high school teachers throughout the Sub District of Randudongkal District of Pemalang, the number of the population was 225 people, and the samples were selected using proportionate random sampling technique as many as 69 people. The data analysis was using descriptive analysis, the test of data requirements, and analysis, / regression test. The test results for the prerequisite of research data it is concluded that the data were normally distributed, homogeneous, linear, does not incur multicollinearity and does not incur heteroskedasticity. While from the hypothesis test, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect on the school cultures to the quality of education in the total of 0.911 with a contribution of 82.8%. There is a significant effect of teacher competence on the quality of education at 0.790 with a contribution of 61.9%. There is the influence collectively on the School Culture and Teachers Competence against Education Quality of 0.977 with a contribution of 95.3%

Learning activities are a learning effort by students in physical, mental, intellectual, and emotional aspects from the to hard observed activities that happened inside or outside the classroom. This study describes students learning activities that will impact on student learning outcomes. The method used is descriptive-analysis with a 167 students sample that using proportional random sampling technique, used a questionnaire . The instrument used is a questionnaire. The result of the research is it includes the students learning activities in Junior High school in the medium category which comprises learning activities before learning in school, learning during school, and after learning in school. The implications of this research can be a reference and input for Counselor to improve students learning activities at 19 Junior High school in Bandung.

This study aims to identify and analyze the influence of leadership and achievement motivation on the performance of social studies (IPS) teachers at Pekanbaru Private Junior High School. The total population was 129 teachers. A sample of 32 people was obtained using a proportional random sampling technique. Data were collected by means of a questionnaire, then analyzed by descriptive analysis and path analysis. The results of the study found: (1) the leadership of the principal has an effect on the achievement motivation of social studies teachers at Pekanbaru Private Junior High School. The meaning of good leadership will be able to increase the achievement motivation of IPS teachers; (2) the leadership of the principal has a direct and indirect effect on teacher performance through the achievement motivation of social studies teachers at Pekanbaru Private Middle School. The meaning of principal leadership can improve teacher performance by increasing the achievement motivation of social studies teachers; and (3) achievement motivation has an effect on the performance of social studies teachers. The meaning of good achievement motivation will be able to improve the performance of social studies teachers at Pekanbaru Private Junior High School.

This study aims to describe the effect of competence, organizational culture and work environment on the performance of junior high school teachers at the educational foundation dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Medan. This study uses a non-probability sampling method. The research respondents were all junior high school teachers at the educational foundation dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Medan, amounting to 75 (seventy-five) teachers using the census method. The instrument used was a questionnaire to collect data from competency variables, organizational culture variables, work environment variables, and performance variables. The data analysis technique used is the validity test, reliability test, descriptive analysis, multicollinearity test, normality test, multiple linear analysis, multiple linear correlation coefficient test, t test, F test, and calculation of the coefficient of determination. Descriptive analysis results for competency variables, organizational culture variables, work environment variables and performance variables are in the very good category. Based on the partial analysis, competence, organizational culture and work environment have a positive and significant effect on the performance of teachers in junior high schools at the educational foundation dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Medan. The F test shows that competency, organizational culture and work environment simultaneously influence the performance of teachers in junior high schools at the educational foundation dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Medan. The contribution of competency, organizational culture and work environment variables to improve teacher performance variables was 95.4%, while the remaining 4.6% was influenced by other variables not examined by the authors in this study, such as job satisfaction, motivation, work conflict, and others.

This study uses hypothesis testing with multiple regression and partial regression analysis. Multiple regression is used to test the fourth hypothesis concerning the relationship of giving certification allowance to motivation and work discipline of teacher, while for hypodesis testing one, two and three used partial test, that is to know relation of giving of certification allowance with motivation and relation giving certification allowance to discipline teacher work and motivational relationships and work discipline of teachers. The results showed that there was a relationship between certification allowance with motivation with significance value of 0.444 with medium category. There is a relationship between certification allowance and teacher work discipline with significance value of 0.469 with medium category. There is a relationship between motivation and discipline of junior high school teachers in Oksibil Pegunungan Bintang Regency with a significance value of 0.661 with strong category. There is a correlation between certification allowance with motivation and discipline of junior high school teacher in Oksibil Pegunungan Bintang Regency 0,502 with medium category. Keywords:  Provision of Teacher Certification Allowance, Motivation, Teacher Work Discipline

This research aimed to describe the competency of junior high school teachers of Mathematics and Science subjects. This research uses descriptive method with the survey method. The data source in this research  is junior high school teachers of Mathematics and Science subjects which are incorporated in MGMP Sub Rayon 03 Samalantan, the number of teacher is 20. The data were collected through questionnaires. To find out the description of the competence of teachers it used descriptive analysis by using percentage. The result showed an overall competence of teachers are in a good category. The sequentially percentage of the competency of teachers are pedagogic (72.25%), professional competence (83.00%), personal competence (85.00%) and social competence (77%). The purpose of this research was to study the impact of goal setting and intrinsic motivation on the work performance of teachers in the Sub-District of North Bekasi State Junior High School. This research was conducted using a survey method with path analysis techniques. The population in this study were the civil servant teachers of the State Junior High Schools in North Bekasi District totaling 221 teachers, while the sample in this study was 69 teachers who were randomly selected. The results of this study are as follows; (1) there is a positive direct effect of goal setting on teacher work performance; (2) there is a positive direct effect of intrinsic motivation on teacher work performance, and (3) there is a positive direct effect of goal setting on intrinsic motivation. Therefore, increased work performance can be increased through increased goal setting and strengthening intrinsic motivation in school teachers.     Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari tentang pengaruh penetapan tujuan dan motivasi intrinsik terhadap prestasi kerja guru SMP Negeri di Kecamatan Bekasi Utara. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode survey dengan teknik analisis jalur. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah guru PNS SMP Negeri di Kecamatan Bekasi Utara yang berjumlah 221 guru, sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian ini sebesar 69 guru yang dipilih secara acak. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut; (1) terdapat pengaruh langsung positif penetapan tujuan terhadap prestasi kerja guru; (2) terdapat pengaruh langsung positif motivasi intrinsik terhadap prestasi kerja guru, dan (3) terdapat pengaruh langsung positif penetapan tujuan terhadap motivasi intrinsik. Oleh karena itu, peningkatan prestasi kerja dapat ditingkatkan melalui ketepatan dalam penerapan penetapan kerja dan penguatan motivasi intrinsik pada guru dan standar kerja di sekolah.
