Capital market plays a crucial role in a country’s national development and economic capacity building. However, there are economic forces that determine the success of a capital market development in every nation. This study investigates the role of these economic indicators in determining the capital market performance in Nigeria using secondary data covering a period from 1998 to 2018. These data have been sourced from the World Bank Development Indicators, International Monetary Fund and CBN Statistical Bulletin, 2018 edition. The results from the regression analysis indicate that exchange rate and inflation rate have immaterial undesirable consequence on capital market capitalization (CMC) while the interest rate exerts a weighty harmful effect on CMC. The study also provides evidence that the gross domestic product (GDP) has a substantial positive impact on CMC. The study among others suggests that the growth of the economy should be sustained in order to keep boosting the capital market. However, the economic indicators such as inflation, interest rate and exchange rate should be kept under strict control by the relevant authorities in the country.

One of the primary tasks of supply-side reform is to promote the reform of fiscal and taxation systems. It is an important part of institutional innovation to coordinate fiscal and other reforms. From the perspective of the supply side, this paper discusses whether the adjustment of fiscal and monetary policies will have a positive impact on China’s capital market and economic growth. In this paper, a windows-EBM model is constructed to test the panel data of major economies between 2008 and 2016, discuss their impact on the efficiency of the capital market, and to make a comparative analysis on the strategies to improve the vitality of China’s capital market. We find that the impact of China’s macro policies on capital market efficiency during 2008-2016 shows a huge potential space for adjusting fiscal and monetary policies, because these input factors are obviously interchangeable in China’s supply-side reform. This is in line with the expected direction of China’s supply-side reform. This paper reveals the positive effect of supply-side reform on capital activity. Tax cuts and monetary policy measures are needed to balance capital markets and to ensure their active and sustainable development.

However, the development of digital or scripless systems is still constrained by various factors. The purpose of this study is to try to dig deeper into the basic concepts of digital planning for issuers in the list of Islamic securities. A development model based on the results of the literature review is expected to contribute to the acceleration of digital technology in the capital market. The results of the study suggest that it is important for digital planning so that organizations have planning standards with special characteristics to create a 'positioning' that is in accordance with Islamic principles. The novelty in this research is that social cognitive theory and technology adoption can also be applied to sharia-based digital planners in the capital market. The growing enthusiasm for mutual funds among the investment choice is an anxiety in the Nepali capital market. The paper aims to find out the investors’ eagerness towards mutual funds in Nepal. This investigation is descriptive and based on a structured questionnaire survey of 125 (out of 140) respondents from the broker office in Chitwan District. The stratified sampling method was used, based on four strata (Businessperson, university lecturer, university student, institutional and local investor) of the respondents’ socio-demographic, adequate knowledge, and factors determination areas. The paper has three major discoveries. First, Nepali investors were dominated by male gender like as in other countries, and university students were excited in the capital market for investment that most common only in Nepal. Second, investors were investing in mutual funds without sufficient knowledge although most investors were aware of political instability. Lastly, investing in common stock rather than mutual funds, followed by the players who made the mutual fund more effective were the most prioritized factors and awareness to invest in mutual funds was the least factor while investing by an investor. Moreover, the correlation among all variables was positively significant. This paper is valuable to the government bodies, academicians, concern companies, and investors, which help them to know more about mutual funds. This study concludes differently from previous studies that individuals prefer to invest in the capital market rather than a bank deposit, which is probably the new appearance in Nepal.

This paper aims to discuss the opportunities and challenges of developing Sharia Exchange Trade Fund (ETF) investment products in Indonesia. ETF is an investment product in the capital market that collaborates stock and mutual fund products that can collectively be traded on the capital market. This will provide attractive new investment opportunities for investors who are concerned about sharia investment. With the consideration that Indonesia's population is predominantly Muslim, then of course Islamic investment products will attract them. ETFs have the following advantages: easy and flexible process of ownership and transfer, low cost and risk, wide coverage because they are like investing in several portfolios at once, and the process is transparent. In particular, Islamic ETFs have the advantage in the aspect of ensuring product halalness because their portfolios are always monitored by the sharia supervisory board in each investment manager as the manager. On the other hand, Islamic ETFs are faced with challenges related to the low literacy of the Muslim community about investing in the capital market that has sharia products.
