This research discusses Analysis of the lesson plan based 2013 curriculum designed by the English teacher at MTS. Al – Hidayah” This research will cover how the English teacher designs learning activities relate with the basic competence to basic competence, and how English teacher do assessment to the students based on 2013 curriculum objectives. This research applied a qualitative research design. The subjects of this research were English teachers in Mts Alhidayah Makassar. Sample of the researcher took two English teachers in Mts Alhidayah Makassar, since there are two English teachers in the school. In collecting the data, the researcher used two kinds of instruments. In collecting the data through interview. Research results show dealing with finding out the basic competence and learning activities, it was that found some of learning activities are related and non related with the basic competences in 2013 curriculum for Junior High School which designed by the English teachers. In learning assessment, the teacher applied various kinds of assessment for cognitive and psychomotor domain. Teachers’ way in assessing students’ achievement in terms of cognitive and psychomotoric based on 2013 curriculum is applying instrument assessment

This study aims to discuss how teaching and learning activities were carried out by using Genre based Approach in teaching writing descriptive text at junior high school. This study was conducted in the classroom of VII-1. Therefore, the appropriate design was qualitative research design. The subject of the study was the English teacher. To collect data, the researcher used observation and interview. The finding of the study described that the teaching and learning activities that were carried out by the teacher fulfilled the basic competencies. The teacher carried out the opening teaching activities by greeting, asking the students’ preparation during the lesson, checking the student’s attendance list, and informing the learning objective. The teacher carried out the main teaching activities by informing about how to write a descriptive text, giving, and asking opinions, eliciting the students’ understanding, prompting and directing to do exercises. The teacher carried out the closing teaching activities by directing the student to continue at home and eliciting the students’ reflection of what they could learn at that time.

The general objective of the present research was to describe the steps taken in preparing the lesson plans in learning English through Google Classroom and to analyze the problems faced by the English teacher in the SMA Negeri 3 Singaraja. The research was designed as a descriptive qualitative. Data on the steps that had been taken by the English teacher in preparing lesson plans for learning English through Google Classroom were collected by means of a questionnaire. Similarly, data on the problems faced by the English teacher in preparing lesson plans for learning English in were gathered using a questionnaire. The second questionnaire also contained twenty items corresponded to the items in the first questionnaire. The obtained data from the two questionnaires are presented in the following sections. The first research findings show that the steps had been taken in prearing the lesson plans in learning English in SMAN 3 Singaraja followed 5 aspects of curriculum 2013 lesson plan, such as: 1) learning objectives, 2) learning materials, 3) learning activities, 4) learning media and sources, and 5) learning assessment. The second research findings consisted of nine problems, they were: the English teacher mentioned 7 problems found when they prepared the lesson plans for learning English in the SMA Negeri 3 Singaraja, which occurred in the aspect of learning objectives, learning activities, and learning assessment.

<p>This study aimed to describe the management acceleration program in terms of planning, organizing, actuating, and monitoring learning in PL Domenico Savio Junior High School. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. Subjects were principal, manager acceleration, acceleration secretary, and homeroom teacher. Results of research: Planning accelerated program in PL Domenico Savio Junior High School done by preparing teachers, finance, infrastructure, learners, curriculum, time, and high school. Learning plan covering the syllabus and lesson plan contains learning objectives, teaching materials, teaching methods, learning resources, and assessment of learning outcomes. Organization of human resources contained in the organizational structure of the school is equipped manager acceleration. Organizing accelerated learning includes the step before learning, implementation, and after learning. Teachers organize learning materials to learners’ learning time. Acceleration managers manage learning activities acceleration in school and outside of school. Actuating of accelerated program refers to the RPP and half of each subject program. Implementation of the learning stages: introduction, core activities, and cover. Monitoring the acceleration of learning is done directly by the students, parents of students, and managers acceleration. Learners and parents provide input on school. Manager acceleration control feasibility study. Principal using monitoring results into training materials for teachers. Accelerated learning assessment carried out by the teacher. Teacher evaluations are conducted by the principal and foundations. Reporting accelerated learning is done on the parents of learners.</p>

<p><strong>Abstract:</strong> This study is intended to describe challenges faced by English teachers in the Vocational High Schools of Agriculture during the implementation of 2013 Curriculum. This study used descriptive qualitative research design which was conducted at two Vocational High Schools of Agriculture in South Kalimantan. The result was devided into five items based on the research questions. The first was challenges in designing lesson plan. The second was challenges in the lesson implementation. The third was challenges in the learning assessment. The fourth was challenges in the classroom management practice. The last finding dealt with the implementation of professional development strategy.</p><strong>Abstrak:</strong> Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tantangan-tantangan yang dihadapi oleh guru bahasa Inggris di SMK Pertanian selama implementasi Kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kualitatif deskriptif yang dilaksanakan pada dua SMK Pertanian di Kalimanta Selatan. Hasil dari penelitian ini dibagi menjadi lima al berdasarkan pertanyaan penelitian. <em>Pertama,</em> tantangan-tantangan dalam penyusunan RPP. <em>Kedua</em>, tantangan-tantangan di dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran. <em>Ketiga</em>, tantangan dalam evaluasi pembelajaran. <em>Keempat</em>, tantangan-tantangan dalam melaksanakan praktik manajemen kelas. <em>Kelima,</em> berkaitan dengan pelaksanaan strategi pengembangan profesionalisme guru.

The objectives of this research were to find out the category of code mixing used by the English teacher and the code mixing category dominantly used by the English teacher in teaching EFL (English as a foreign language) classroom based on the category of code mixing according to Muysken (2000). This research employed descriptive qualitative research design to analyze the teacher’s code mixing in teaching EFL at SMK Negeri 1 Makassar. The participant of this research was one of all the English teacher of SMK Negeri 1 Makassar, this participant was taken by using purposive sampling technique. The instruments of this research were observation and audio recording.The result showed that (1) The English teacher of SMK Negeri 1 Makassar used all of the categories that categorized by Muysken (2000, cited in Liu, 2008: 6) in teaching EFL classroom, they were: Insertion, Alternation and Congruent Lexicalization. There were seventeen examples of Insertion category, two examples of Alternation category and there were also two examples of congruent lexicalization category used by the English teacher; (2) The category of code mixing dominantly used by the English teacher of SMK Negeri 1 Makassar was insertion category in teaching EFL classroom.Therefore, it can be a positive input of the English teachers to enrich their English vocabulary to avoid using code mixing in teaching EFL classroom.

This research aimed to describe the teacher’s strategies in teaching writing descriptive text and to describe the problems faced by the teacher. It was a descriptive qualitative research design. The subject of this research was one English teacher of SMA Swasta RK Serdang Murni Lubuk Pakam. The data of this research were the teacher’s language and the activities in teaching writing descriptive. The results showed that the teacher applied seven strategies they were (1) modify comprehensible input, (2) make lesson visual, (3) link new information, (4) determine key concepts, (5) modify vocabulary instruction, (6) use cooperative learning strategies, and (7) modify testing. And the problems faced by the teacher were the lack of students’ vocabularies and the participation in group work.Keywords: Teaching Writing, Teacher’s Strategies, Descriptive Text.

Leaning process can influence students’ achievement. The lack of students’ understanding on the particular materials could decrease students’ achievement. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the leaning process of biology in human circulator system at the eight grade of Junior High School (SMP) 3 Rambatan covering the lesson plan, implementation of learning proces, evaluation, and students’ learning outcome. This researh was descriptive using qualitative approach. It was conducted at SMP 3 Rambatan. Data were collected using IPKG on lesson, interview, document, and field notes. The reseach shows as follows: (1)  the format of lesson plan used by the teachers has fulfilled the IPKG and could be categorized into good; (2) the learning process had not yet referred to the IPKG but could be classified as good and enough category; (3) the evaluation of learning process had not referred to IPKG; (4) students’ learning activities were still low; and (5) students’ learning outcome were unsatisfactory.Kata Kunci: proses pembelajaran biologi, sistem peredaran darah manusia, aktivitas   siswa, hasil belajar.

So far, teachers in learning Islamic Religious Education use a conventional approach where the teacher dominates teaching and learning activities and processes. The teacher only explains in class deb, giving notes and assignments to students to become bored and sleepy. This causes the value of Islamic religious education to be still low. This study aims to see the efforts of religious teachers in implementing corpse care materials through practice rehearsal pairs strategies on the appointment of PAI learning outcomes at Assa'adah Islamic Junior High School Karawang. This research is in the form of qualitative research and refers to Classroom Action Research (CAR). The results showed that the practice strategy of rehearsal pairs affected increasing and elevating the value of Islamic Religious Education for students at SMP Islam Assa'adah Karawang. It can be seen from the activeness of students asking questions reaching 61.91% before 9.52%; active students in answering questions 71.43% previously 14.29%; the activeness of students in being 80.95% once 19.05% and the ability of students to work on questions independently 90.48% previously 33.33%.

This research is intended to describe of the role of the textbook in English class. The subject of the study was English teachers in state junior high school in Banjarmasin. Data were collected through interviews, class observation, and document analysis. The investigation found that the teachers considered the textbook both central and external books helped them in preparing the lesson. They used several strategies to adapt the textbook by adding the material and modifying the task in the book. There were three main problems faced by English teachers at state junior high school 23 Banjarmasin, limited supported kits from the book, lacks materials inside the textbook, and high language level for students used in the book. However, this research is essential to conduct to present the real situation that happened in the English classroom.

This study investigated students‟ motivation in speaking through Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) at a junior high school in Bogor, West Java. The procedures of action research: plan, act, observe, reflect, and revise were used to investigate the participants‟ learning activities and motivation. The study was conducted in two cycles involving two on-site English teachers. Data were collected through the teacher’s journal, observers‟ sheets, students‟ diaries, and questionnaires. The results of the research indicated that students‟ motivation in speaking could be improved through exposure to a variety of learning activities that connect the learning activities to the students‟ lives and experiences. Finally, the results of the study are expected to have a contribution to developing students to be motivated language learners.
