BOS policy is one of the public policies made by the government aiming at improving the quality of the human resources as the indicator of the progress of a nation’s development. This study aims to analyze and describe the implementation of BOS budget, and the supporting factors also inhibiting factors in implementing BOS at Junior High Schools in Tembilahan sub-district. The research design was qualitative using a descriptive method. The data and information were collected through an observation technique, interview, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using classification steps, analysis, and data interpretation until the conclusion was drawn. The result showed that BOS policy was an appropriate and effective public policy for people in general and, particularly, for the school, teaching staff, and the students. The implementation of BOS at Public Junior High Schools in Tembilahan sub-district, was good and met the BOS technical guideline. However, it had still an obstacle that several school activities could not be accommodated using BOS budget. The supporting factors of the BOS policy implementation at Public Junior High Schools in Tembilahan sub-district such as a good communication between several relevant parties and the availability of competent human resources. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors were financial resources and the characteristics of the policy were too rigid in the use in every school.

This study evaluated the Program of Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) at SMP Negeri 1 Selo. This type of research was evaluative research with CIPP model which conducted based on Context, Input, Process and Product in the implementation of DRR Program. Data collection techniques were done using interviews, observation, and document study. Data analysis in this study included data collection, data reduction, data display and verification. This study used triangulation to validate the datas. The results showed: (1) in the Context of evaluation, the DRR Education Program at SMP Negeri 1 Selo is categorized as good, because it is in accordance with the needs of the school. The school is not only getting support from outside parties, but also having clear goals, backgrounds, and requirements for organizing. (2) In evaluating Input, this program answers the needs of school. The number of human resources involved and competent is sufficient. Facilities and infrastructure as well as funds are also adequate. The mechanism that the school has is clear and detailed. Program input is considered good. (3) In the Process, most activities (3-5 activities) can be carried out well. Human resources are fulfilled and functioning. Funding is available but inefficient and there is a lack of infrastructure. In general, the implementation has followed the mechanism. The DRR process at SMP Negeri 1 Selo is considered reasonable, (4) In the Product, most of the activities in DRR Program were achieved, the knowledge and the skills of school members were significantly improved but the attitude/concern of school members to disasters had not increased significantly and it had a considerable impact. Thus, the products were considered fair. Based on the results of the research, sustainability policy can be taken. The program should be continued with improvements of mechanism especially in the form of scheduling and plan of program sustainability and improvement of infrastructure facilities.

Higher education institutions need to reform the organization culture of a bureucratic university become a corporate university. Education will be oriented towards high academic quality, service quality, and as well as student satisfaction. The purposes of this study are to measure and determine the effect of service quality and satisfaction on student loyalty in higher education sector. Data collection technique is done by distributing questionnaires with 5-point likert scale. There are 151 students chosen using cluster random sampling. The validity test used factor analysis. Data analysis technique was done using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of the AMOS version 21.0 program. The result of the research shows that service quality and satisfaction simultaneously affect student loyalty.

The intense competition between public and private universities in Banyuwangi district in finding a sufficient number of new students is an interesting phenomenon. The purpose of this research is to find out an appropriate strategy to fulfill the adequacy rate of new student candidates at University of PGRI Banyuwangi (UNIBA). This research was conducted in Banyuwangi district with 200 samples of public and private high school / vocational students, 20 Counseling Guidance teachers, 200 student’s parents and 50 new students who are studying in the first semester. The research instruments used in this study are questionnaires and interviews. This study used a qualitative approach, then data were analyzed using SWOT. The result of this studyis a form of implementing an aggressive SWOT strategy as follows: 1) Strengths-Opportunities (S-O) Strategy, 2) Strenghts-Threats (S-T) Strategy, 3) Weaknesses-Opportunities (W-O) Strategy. 4) Weaknesses-Threats (W-T) Strategy

The purpose of this research is to find out the lecturers' strategies in e-learning management to improve learning outcomes in college. The lecturer strategy in managing e-learning includes how to plan, implement, supervise and evaluate online learning (e-learning). This research used a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The subjects of the study were lecturers who did online learning and were able to improve the results of learning through e-learning. The research instrument used interview guidelines and documentation. Interview, survey, and observation were done to collect the data. Data analysis done by using triangulation techniques. The results of this study shows that the lecturer's strategy in managing e-learning, including 1) Planning, namely drawing up a learning plan on the e-learning website, with a sub-view of RPS (lesson plan), learning achievements, diagnostic tests (pre-test), module materials, learning videos, journal links related to materials, discussion forums, tasks, and absorption tests (posttest).2) Execution, focus on how to solve material problem (reward and punishment) by understanding modules and videos. 3) Supervision is by utilizing the agreed e-learning time, monitoring process through zoom media, video conference and whatsapp group to know the students’ participation in e-learning. 4) Evaluation, with diagnostic tests and absorption tests as an indicator of student atteanity in receiving e-learning materials and independent tasks to improve HOTS (higher order of thinking skills) students. Evaluation in maximizing e-learning content in the website is done with CIPP (context, input, process, and output) so that innovation from lecturers is always increasing.

The researcher wants to explain the impact of principal leadership on the effectiveness of learning at high school level. The study is aimed at finding principal leadership model as an ideal example in managing school as an educational institution to bring effective learning as an output. The results of the discussion show that the principal's leadership has a significant positive effect on teacher competence to realize the effectiveness of learning. The conclusion from this discussion that the effectiveness of learning can run well can be done by applying the leadership of the principal and teacher competence. The Principal has strong influence because he leads with love, gives positive impact on school even outside world. He has become catalyst agent who brings others to a purpose, by making himself as not only a creator of culture but also the one who sustains it especially inside school environment. The better the leadership of the principal is, the better the learning effectiveness at the school is.

This study aims to determine the contribution of teacher work motivation to teacher professionalism, the principal's contribution to teacher professionalism, and the contribution of work motivation and the role of school principals to teacher professionalism. The population of the study was all civil servant teachers in SMA Negeri Salatiga with number of population 209 people and the sample are 131 people. The samples were chosen by using proportional random sampling technique. Data collection was done by distributing questionnaire and hypothesis testing with regression. The results showed, (1) there was a positive and significant contribution t of work motivation on teacher professionalism of 92.2%, (2)there was a positive and significant contribution of the role of the principal on the teacher professionalism of 90.2%, and (3) there was a positive and significant contribution of work motivation and the role of the principal on professionalism teachers at 93.1%. It is hoped that further research will find out other factors that contribute ot teacher professionalism.

The role of the principal as a leader is certainly needed in learning activities at school. The role of the principal will lead many teachers to implement learning patterns that are in accordance with the vision, mission, and standards set by the school. This study aims to describe the role of the principal's leadership in innovating religious scientific learning with an integrated model which combines scientific learning with Islamic-based religious learning. The research method used in this study is qualitative multi-site study approach, to find similarities in both sites through interviews, observation, and documentation study. The data was analyzed using a constant comparative analysis approach. The results of the research are (1) the form of learning leadership applied in schools in the implementation of religious scientific learning, (2) the principal's innovation in implementing religious scientific-based learning, (3) the community's support for schools in religious scientific learning.

The goals of this research are 1) to find out school services that are implemented in Pesantren PERSIS Benda Kota Tasikmalaya, 2) to get an overview of the android application used in pesantren PERSIS Benda Kota Tasikmalaya. 3) to measure the role of “67Benda” android applications in improving school services to student’s parents. This research is a qualitative research that produces data in the form of descriptions. Data collection methods using observation, interviews ang document study. The results shows that pesantren PERSIS Benda Kota Tasikmalaya gradually improve the quality of ducation because the role of the ‘67Benda” android application that has been implemented. It has been running well even thought the system and service need to be improved. There are some things are needed to support the use of this application such as, the qualified and adequate operators, a proper infrastructure, and the support also enthusiasm from teachers and parents. Factors that may hinder the use of “67Benda” are: (1) unskilled human resources in managing the application, (2) the incomplete application, and (3) signal interference. The role of the implementation “67Benda” android application has shown a very significant outcome to school services. It can be seen that the information is easier to be obtained by the student’s parents.
