A novel titled BumiCinta written by Habiburrahman El-Shirazy takes place in the Russian setting, in which Russia is a country that adopts freedom. Russia with various religions embraced by its people has called for the importance of human freedom. Free sex in Russia is commonplace among its young people. Russia is a country that is free with no rules, no wonder if there have been many not embracing certain religion. In fact, according to data Russia is a country accessing the largest porn sites in the world. Habiburrahman in his Bumi Cinta reveals some religious aspects. He incorporates the concept of religion with social conflicts in Russia. Therefore, the writer reveals two fundamental issues, namely: 1. What is the characters' religiosity in the Habiburrahman El-Shirazy'sBumiCinta? 2. What is the characters' religiosity in the BumiCinta in their relationship with God, fellow human beings, and nature ?. To achieve the objectives, the writer uses the religious literary criticism based on the Qur'an and Hadith. It emphasizes religious values in literature. The writer also uses the arguments of scholars and schools of thought to strengthen this paper. This theory is then used to seek the elements of religiousity in the Habiburrahman El-Shirazy'sBumiCinta. In this novel, the writer explains there are strong religious elements and religious effects of its characters, especially the belief in God, faith and piety

Abstract: This article will elaborate the sufism thought of Fethullah Gulen. He has transformed Sufism from purely spiritual experience turned into an activity that is directly in contact with the issue of Muslims and human beings on this earth. Two of the most prominent organizer of the mystical transformation is education and the world peace movement. He tried to bring peace to the world across cultures, religions and ethnicities. The thought pattern of Gülen which is based on religious values and the universality has created a concept which is more popular in the community, but do not abandon spiritual values. The transformation of ideas and concepts of sufism who taught the importance of devotion to others, selflessness and love of neighbor. Abstrak: Artikel ini akan mengelaborasi pemikiran tasawuf Fethullah Gulen. Ia telah mentransformasikan tasawuf dari yang hanya bersifat pengalaman spiritual berubah menjadi sebuah aktivitas yang langsung bersentuhan dengan persoalan umat Islam dan manusia di bumi ini. Dua agenda yang paling menonjol dari transformasi sufistiknya itu adalah pendidikan dan gerakan perdamaian dunia. Ia berupaya mewujudkan perdamaian dunia lintas budaya, agama maupun etnis. Pola pemikiran Gülen yang dilandasi nilai-nilai keagamaan dan universalitas telah menciptakan konsep yang lebih memasyarakat namun tidak meninggalkan nilai-nilai spiritual. Transformasi dari pemikiran dan konsep tasawwuf yang mengajarkan pentingnya pengabdian kepada orang lain, tidak mementingkan diri sendiri dan cinta terhadap sesama. This chapter examines four particular ways in which faith has been expressed as a commitment to one's responsibilities vis-à-vis one's community and God. It discusses Hindu epic illustrations of dharma, or sacred duty; an allegorical extrapolation of Christian responsibility in C. S. Lewis's Narnia series as well as his discussion of the relationship between faith and works; Islamic understanding of human beings as God's caliphs (khalifa) and the responsibility for jihad; and Jewish articulations of human responsibility in a covenantal relationship with God. These examples concern a specific interface of religious ethics and the commitment to faith, by which one embraces a tremendous sense of responsibility for the very fate of the human world.

This article explores the challenges of including the child�s voice in an artform dedicated to children, Theatre for Young Audiences. In 2020, The International Association of Theatre for Children and Young People, ASSITEJ, launched a manifesto to bring the voices of children and artists to every country in the world. However, the experience of children of this theatre made for them is often that their rights are elided with or subordinated to those of adults. A model for addressing this and some examples of practice suggest possibilities for change. This article examines the capacity and capability required to realise such possibilities within a precarious industry. Committing to hearing children makes demands on those making theatre and those making policy alike.

This article shows that: the concept of Quran about the veil not only instructs women to wear the hijab, but also to the believing men and women of Muslims to adorn themselves with piety jewelry. The concept of the veil was ordered not to say in a voice seductive, stimulating and provoke lust, stay indoors, not out except in a situation that really needs, not tabarruj, not open-aperture, establish prayers, pay zakat, submit and obey all which Allah recommended to His Apostle to what came to him. The relevance of the concept of Qur'an about the veil with the goal of Islamic education is its compatibility in the formation of human morality that leads to the personality of Islam by always strengthening the faith and piety, so as to be useful human beings for the state, religion and achieve happiness of the world and the hereafter. Vocabulary education is philosophically oriented towards Islamic values based on three dimensions, (a) inculcating a balanced and harmonious relationship with God, (b) establishing a harmonious, harmonious and balanced relationship with the community, (c) developing the ability to explore, managing, and utilizing the natural wealth for the benefit of the welfare of his life with a harmonious attitude.

This article provides an insight into Koranic anthropology and looks at the essence of man in his relationship with God. Here the author starts from the term insān as one of several terms for »man« occurring in the Koran, which, according to the representation of the Arabic lexicographer al-Ḫalīl ibn Aḥmad al-Farāhīdī (d. ca. 791) in the Kitāb al-ʿain, refers back to the three-radical root n-s-y with the basic meaning »forget«. With the term insān al-ʿain, literally »the man of the eye«, which in Arabic denotes the pupil, he shows that seeing, perceiving and cognizing are essential characteristics of human beings which, on closer examination, include forgetting, since human beings can only see and recognize what they are actually looking at, while everything else is inevitably forgotten. The author considers this meaning in the context of some fundamental verses of the Koran, which clarify the complex dimensions of the human being in his relationship to God and the world, in order to finally show that man is capable of assuming the highest and lowest levels of being, depending on his degree of perception and knowledge.

Our peculiar dignity as persons seems to rest on our freedom of action, since freedom of action is required to make sense both out of moral responsibility and out of the God—man relationship. Indeed, the possession of freedom seems to be a (if not the) major justification for claims that humans are in an important way images of God. Furthermore, the most promising theodicies all ascribe a good portion of the evil experienced in the world to the free actions of human beings.

This article sketches a research agenda for the development of a Christianly inspired perspective in International Relations. It is argued that a practice-approach offers fruitful starting points for such an attempt. This approach shares three fundamental insights with the Christian philosophical approach known as Reformational philosophy, namely that science is just one mode of relating to the world, that human action and human freedom should be taken seriously, and that reality is intrinsically meaningful. In turn, Reformational philosophy can deepen existing practice-approaches on four points. In the first place, it addresses the fundamental notion that all human beings have an (Archimedean) point of trust. Secondly, it includes the notion that reality is made up of many dimensions. Thirdly, it takes seriously dominant cultural ideas or so-called groundmotives. Finally, a Reformational approach is sensitive to vicissitudinary processes which may open up or close down certain positive developments in history.

This article addresses James Sterba’s recent argument for the conclusion that God’s existence is incompatible with the degree and amount of evil in the world. I raise a number of questions concerning the moral principles that Sterba suggests God would be required to follow, as well as with respect to the analogy he draws between the obligations of a just state and the obligations of God. Against Sterba’s proposed justified divine policy of constraint on human freedom, I ask: What would motivate a perfect being to create human beings who imagine, intend, and freely begin to carry out horrific actions that bring harm to other human beings, to nonhuman animals, and to the environment? I argue that the rationale is lacking behind the thought that God would only interfere with the completion of the process of human beings’ bringing to fruition their horrifically harmful intended outcomes, rather than creating beings with different psychologies and abilities altogether. I end by giving some friendly proposals that help to support Sterba’s view that God, by nature, would be perfectly morally good.

These days environmental issues are among the most commonly reported ones in the world. The dangerous effects of the environmental problems, which are as old as the history of humanity, began to be felt more profoundly after the Industrial Revolution. In former times the environmental problems were felt only at a local level with the destruction of forests in order to facilitate hunting places and clear lands for farming areas. After the Industrial Revolution the extent of the problem rose and reached the catastrophic disaster level with the extensive fossil fuel use. Nowadays, when environment problems come into question, many people prefer using the term environmental disaster in place of the term environmental problems. This term, environmental disaster, may be remarkable enough to discern the severity of the problem.  The role of literature in reaching the public cannot be denied. Ecocriticism tries to make use of this ability of literature in setting forth and expressing environment problems. Since both fictional and non-fictional literature can reach many people, the works which concern with the environmental problems may be beneficial to raise awareness and contribute to inform many people all over the world about the severity of these problems. Creating awareness is an important issue since many people are not aware of the fact that the nature is destroyed by humans, and they neglect that the harm to nature causes the harm to humanity concurrently since there has always been an indissoluble bond between ecosystem and humans. Humans cannot be dissociated from the natural world. In this study, some brief information about human related environment disasters, social organizations which were established to fight for the rights of nonhuman beings in nature, the function of literature in creating awareness among human beings, the efforts of creating ecological reading and the emergence of ecocritical literary criticism will be given. After discussing Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s contribution to nature writing and Romanticism briefly, “The Rime of the Ancient Mariner” will be evaluated from an ecocritical perspective.

In modern life, many people have lost sight of the facts and are unaware of it.The copy in the middle of the copy is genuine, with more originality than the original. This is the era of copies. There is no possibility of anyone being the original self orientedman. When history is constructed by power, human beings are transformed into mere bodies. Modern storytelling in Tamil has taken on a new dimension. Moving away fromtraditional storytelling, stories that are contrary to the norms that have been constructed so far have gained prominence.Novels like The Story of Five Crocodiles (2015), Rolex Watch (2016), Ajwa (2016), Barbie (2017), SubitsaMurugan (2018), Lakudu (2019) written by Saravanan Chandran highlight the problems and pitfalls faced by the younger generation. They have, in a sense, expanded into inquiries into current society; They are full of stories depicting the lives of contemporary Tamil youth.Saravanan’s novels are full of likes and dislikes. The same person emerges with different identities in all the novels. The world of young people who seek to identify themselves as rebellious and adventurous in their individuality, the question arises as to why there are new stories being created over and over again.Saravanan Chandran’s novels are unique in that they highlight the human existence oscillating between various rules and political crises.
