The role of humans as a source of labor in SME weaving is still very dominant in the production process, especially when the production process of converting yarn into fabric with non-machine looms. Sitting position during the process of weaving activities that lasts a long time with 8 hours per day, causes the sitting position to be less comfortable and cause complaints of pain in the back or spine. The purpose of this study is to produce an ergonomic work chair design with an anthropometric approach to improve comfort, reduce fatigue and other health effects caused by sitting positions that are less comfortable than the previous work chair, by focusing the work chair design on human body size. The results of this study are the development of weaving work chairs can be achieved by the addition of the backrest and cushion on the seat cushion of the chair as well as the addition of high-low chair settings according to anthropometry of workers compared to pre-existing weaving work chairs. Anthropometric measurements using the 5th and 95th percentiles obtained the dimensions of the work chair dimensions: 1) The height of the chair from the floor 95 cm, 2) The height of the seat cushion from the floor 52 cm, 3) The width of the seat base 39 cm, 4) The width of the backrest 35 cm, 5) Back length 31 cm, 6) Back height 49 cm. Keyword : ergonomics, anthropometry, work station design, sitting posture, work chair Peranan manusia sebagai sumber tenaga kerja pada UKM tenun ikat masih sangat dominan dalam proses produksinya terutama saat kegiatan proses produksi pengubah benang menjadi kain dengan alat tenun bukan mesin (ATBM). In this study, adding a headrest to the conventional vehicle driver seat is investigated to improve the driver comfort and decrease the driver damages. For this purpose, a conventional biomechanical human body model of wholebody vibrations is provided and modified by adding a head degree of freedom to the body model and a headrest to the seat model. The basic model is in the sitting posture, lumped parameters and has nine DOFs for the human body, on contrary to the proposed model which has ten DOFs. The new human body DOF is the twisting motion of the head and neck. This new DOF is generated because of headrest adding to the driver’s seat. To determine the head discomforts, the Seat to Head (STH) indexes are studied in two directions: horizontal and vertical. The Genetic Algorithm (GA) is used to optimize the STH in different directions. The optimization variables are stiffness and damping parameters of the driver’s seat which are 12 for the basic model and are 16 for a new seat. The integer programming is used for time reduction. The results show that new seat (equipped by headrest) has very better STH in both directions.

Summary Cholesterol is a white, waxy substance that always takes part in building each cell in the human body. The role of cholesterol in the normal functioning of the human body has been known for a long time, however, it is mainly due to its elevated levels and the health risk of it. It is less well known that low serum cholesterol levels are associated with serious health problems. When it comes to intensive care unit (ICU) patients, hypocholesterolemia may indicate infectious complications, impaired hepatic synthesis, significant bodily injury. Surgical patients are judged for operative trauma and perioperative stress, as well as for the resuscitation process.

A human body gets exposed to vibration in their daily life due to multiple works like working on the machines, traveling, riding, escalators etc. Due to which people feels discomfort during working that causes bad impact on human body in various ways i.e. back pain, headache, hand sensation etc. In this study, harmonic analysis has been performed on the 3D CAD model of the 76 kg 4-layer (bone, organs, muscle and skin) of human subject in standing and sitting posture by considering 95th percentile anthropometric data of Indian male population. In standing posture, the human subject has been standing on the floor at excitation magnitude of 1 m/s2 with damping ratio 0.337 between frequency ranges 0-20 Hz under vertical vibration. Feet to head transmissibility has been performed from feet to head in standing and seat to head transmissibility has been performed on the human subject in sitting posture in different inclination angle is 0˚, 12˚ and 21˚ on the automotive seat. The Polyurethane foam has been considered for the seat cushion as seat pan cushion and backrest cushion to increase the comfort level for human body during traveling. The biomechanical and physical properties of the human subject that include properties of bones, organs, muscles and skin along with other accessories i.e. seat and backrest cushion have been taken from existing literature. The maximum effect has been found at lower arm, head and organs of the human body between the frequency ranges 4-8 Hz and decreases continuously due to the biodynamic properties of the human solid model and seat cushion model. This study shows that results are approximately nearer to validated results and cushion material has good shock absorber property. There observed a less effect of vibration without seat suspension system and also, inclination of the backrest can improve the comfort level during riding by the vehicles.

Pheromonal communication in the animal world has been of great research interest for a long time. While extraordinary discoveries in this field have been made, the importance of the human sense of smell was of far lower interest. Humans are seen as poor smellers and therefore research about human olfaction remains quite sparse compared with other animals. Nevertheless amazing achievements have been made during the past 15 years. This is a collection of available data on this topic and a controversial discussion on the role of putative human pheromones in our modern way of living. While the focus was definitely put on behavioral changes evoked by putative human pheromones this article also includes other important aspects such as the possible existence of a human vomeronasal organ. If pheromones do have an influence on human behavior there has to be a receptor organ. How are human body scents secreted and turned into odorous substances? And how can con-specifics detect those very odors and transmit them to the brain? Apart from that the most likely candidates for human pheromones are taken on account and their impact on human behavior is shown in various detail.

The role of monetary factor in generating inflationary processes in Russia has stimulated various debates in social and scientific circles for a relatively long time. The authors show that identification of the specificity of relationship between money and inflation requires a complex approach based on statistical modeling and involving a wide range of indicators relevant for the price changes in the economy. As a result a model of inflation for Russia implying the decomposition of inflation dynamics into demand-side and supply-side factors is suggested. The main conclusion drawn is that during the recent years the volume of inflationary pressures in the Russian economy has been determined by the deviation of money supply from money demand, rather than by money supply alone. At the same time, monetary factor has a long-run spread over time impact on inflation.

Definitions of concept and sphere of the concept are widely used in different aspects of modern linguistics. There is no single understanding of these notions and universal methodology of research has not been invented by linguists yet. This predetermines topicality of the article. The aim of our research is analysis, generalization, and systematization of different approaches to the interpretation of the notion ‘concept’ that exist in modern linguistics. It results in the following tasks: analysis of existing definitions of concept and its division into certain ranges and defining classification features. Modern linguists raise the questions of the conceptual and linguistic image of the world, the role of a human factor in its formation and interaction as in a linguistic process more frequently and it is defined as a fact in today’s linguistic scientific literature. The problem of individual language formation, poetic one in particular gains important meaning in this context. Ukrainian linguists use the notion of ‘concept’ for a long time now although they adhere to different views on its definition. Researches of the question define two major approaches in the analysis of the notion ‘concept’ that is linguistic-cognitive and linguistic-cultural. We can claim that words-concepts are agents between material reality and the ideal world that is synthesized in poetry, carriers of sense since with their help the versatility of the real world correlates with eternal spiritual values. Therefore, main features of the notion ‘concept’ in which objectively-cognitive and subjectively-creative features are combines are as follow sensual authenticity, time-spatial features, mediation between material and spiritual, semantic filling, ability to polysemy. A word with a generally symbolic meaning that is implemented in a language process through literary techniques typical for poet’s idiotype is the main core of the concept. The concept in poetic language formation by modern Uman poets is semantically integral, fulfilled, able to penetrate into other concepts and absorb semantically narrower images saving unity and semantic independence, varying numerous interpretations that project it in a certain semantic space, saving potential of real reflection.

Technology united with research and development has evolved as a grave differentiator of the agriculture sector in India including production, processing, and agriculture packing and marketing of given crops. Near about 50 percent of the Indian workforce was engaged in the agriculture sector but its share in GDP was only 14 percent, much lower in comparison to former. Though, certain agriculture items showed a steady annual increase in terms of kilograms per hectare. Agriculture transformed significantly over the past few decades but when it comes to investment in research and development there is a lot more which needs to be done. The paper analyzes the role of various research and development institutions in boosting the growth of the agriculture sector that helps in attaining sustainable agriculture development and self-sufficiency in the production process since independence. It also focusesed on the various issues faced by these development institutions. The findings unveiled that since independence a lot more was done to boost the research and development in the agriculture sector at both the center and state levels but a proper implementation of these policies along with transparency could bring more desirable outcomes than were gained at present.

The article aims to highlight the role of Arvīds Grigulis’ (1906–1989) personality in the Latvian Soviet literary process in the context of the Latvian Soviet Writers’ Union, attempting to discover the contradictions and significance of Arvīds Grigulis’ personality. Arvīds Grigulis was a long-time member of the Writers’ Union, a member of the Soviet nomenklatura, and an authority of the soviet literary process. His evaluations of pre-soviet literary heritage and writings of his contemporaries were often harsh and ruthless, and also influenced the development of the further literary process. The article is based on the documents of the Central Committee of the Latvian Communist Party, the Latvian Soviet Writers’ Union and the Communist Party local organization of the Latvian Soviet Writers’ Union that are available at the Latvian State Archive of the National Archives of Latvia, as well as memories of Grigulis’ contemporaries. It is concluded that the personality of the writer Arvīds Grigulis, although unfolding less in the context of the Writers’ Union, is essential for the exploration of the soviet literary process and events behind the scenes. The article mainly describes events and episodes taking place until 1965, when Arvīds Grigulis’ influence in the Writers’ Union was more remarkable. Individual and further studies should analyse changes and the impact of his decisions in the cultural process of the 70s and 80s of the 20th century.
