This study is conducted to analyze the factors of personal motivation in Midnight Sun movie written by Eric Kirsten. This study applies qualitative descriptive method since the process and the result of the research are accomplished descriptively. Then, the theory proposed by McClelland is used in this study. He mentions two types of factors of personal motivation. The factors include internal and external. This study is focused only on internal factors. It is stated that five factors belong to internal factors of motivation. After having analyzed those factors in the movie, only four factors are found in the analysis. They are need, hope, responsibility, self-esteem and achievement, while, job satisfaction is not found in the movie. The four internal factors happen within the protagonist himself. These factors emerge from the characters’ personal motivation. By the internal factors, the protagonist can make his dream come true. In conclusion, the result of this study shows that to realize dream and to avoid adversity, we must have a motivation to make it happen.

This research is conducted to analyze the internal and external factors of the protagonist’s repentance from Second Act movie written by Justin Zackham And Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas. The internal factors of repentance are self evaluation, self-motivation, self-control, knowledge, regret, hatred towards the sin, and returns to god’s power and will. The external factors of repentance are peer support, social support, intense guidance, and stimulus. It is in accordance to the theory proposed by Fachitiandi. This study uses qualitative descriptive method because the process and the result are accomplished descriptively and the focus goes to the analysis of social phenomena conducted and experienced the main character. Repenteance is not only found in a literary text but also in social reality, therefore this research is important enough for the readers to maintain a good life by avoiding things contrary to social norms. After the analyzing, it is found that internal factors of the Protagonist’s repentance in the movie script are self-evaluation, self-motivation, and knowledge, while, the external factors of the protagonist’s repentance are peer of support and social of support.

ABSTRACTThis study aimed at discovering the students’ in chemistry class at grade X of SMA Negeri 1Sungai Ambawang. A qualitative descriptive method was employed in this study. As many as62 students participated as the subjects. Two techniques were used in this study. They weremeasurement and indirect communication techniques. The indirect technique used 30 testquestions and 30 items of questionnaire. The result of analysis indicated that the students who had problems in understanding the terms were 48,99 %, the students who had problem in understanding the concept were 41,32%, and the students who had problems in calculating were 70,97%. The results of the questionnaire showed that the internal factors of motivation and interest were 59,25%. This is considered as the influential factor in the students’ difficulties. While the external factor, with the average percentage of 85,4% deal with the students’ difficulties were family, facilities and infrastructures, family condition, school, teachers, learning facilities, school building, mass media, and neighborhood. This is considered as the factor that didn’t influent the students’,difficulties in chemistry class.Keywords: Analysis, learning difficulties, chemistry learning

The formulation of this research problem is how the influence of Leadership and Job Satisfaction on Work Discipline at Balai Diklat Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan Pematangsiantar. The research method used in this paper is literature research and field research. Its population is employees of Balai Diklat Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan Pematangsiantar amounted to 57 people. The data used are data by qualitative and qualitative data, and data collection techniques by questionnaire, interview and documentation. Then the technique of data analysis using qualitative descriptive method and quantitative descriptive method. Results of analysis of multiple linier regression is Ŷ = 26,243 + 1,232X1 + 0,681X2, means there is a positive influence between leadership and job satisfaction on work discipline. The strength of the relationship between the three variables is strong, is r = 0,752. From the coefficient of determination can be explained high low work discipline 56,5%, and the remaining 43,5% explained by other factors that are not discussed in this study. From the results of processing and calculation of the questionnaire, the authors get the conclusion that the leadership and job satisfaction applied Balai Diklat Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan Pematangsiantar have a positive and significant effect on work discipline. This is proven by hypothesis testing simultaneously, where the test result fhitung (35,062)> fhitung (3,17) with significance level 0,000 < alpha 0,05. The objectives of the researcher is to describe Unconscious Mind and Anxiety, this research mainly aimed to answer, ‘How is the anxiety reflected in Face in the Crowd movie script?’ , ‘How do the anxieties lead to fantasy in Face in the Crowd movie script?’. Those two problems are analyzed with Psychological of literature or Psychoanalytical approach.  The researcher used a qualitative descriptive method in classifying and analyzing the data,the data was taken from movie script entitled Face In the crowd by Julian Magnat. Then, the result of analysis is the description of unconscious mind and anxiety in the main character. In this analysis the researcher divided it into two main points, such as the anxiety in Face in the Crowd movie script, and the anxieties lead to fantasy. Finally, the conclusion from this analysis there are only a few dialogues that show moral anxieties experienced by Anna. And it can be concluded that  is the anxiety felt Anna objectivy reality. Anxiety objectivy reality itself is an anxiety that comes from the fear of the danger in the outside world. Then fantasy does not only occur during sleep but when he appeared conscious but without realizing it. The main character in the film derives satisfaction from fantasies that arise when together with her ​​husband, with the Anna vision abnormalities. And fantasy is a process of daydreaming (dreamy) or imagining action to provide an escafrom reality, with satisfaction the achievements obtained and pleasure that are imaginary or die as a hero who does not sin. In this era of truant behavior becomes a bad habit of students so that guidance and counseling strategies are needed that are able to overcome these behaviors. The purpose of this study is to prove the factors underlying students who often play truant and to explain the behavior patterns of students who often play truant. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with interview techniques with students in various circles as research subjects. The results of this study state that there are a number of underlying factors such as internal factors, namely oneself and external factors, namely family factors, and school factors with truant behavior patterns, which are playing playstation or internet, hanging out, hanging out, hanging out with friends who play truant. Truant behavior results in academic and student behavior every day. If students do not take part in the academics conducted on that day, students experience lagging in learning and result in students not understanding the learning material. The results of this study serve as input for students to be more disciplined in participating in learning and not have a sustainable impact.

This study aims to analyze the implementation of e-learning policies at IAIN Kendari. Using a qualitative descriptive method, the data was collected through observation at the online page of https://elearning.iainkendari.ac.id, interviews and documentation. The results of PIECES analysis calculations in the application of e-learning are seen from several aspects, including: performance, information, economy, control and services are in the category of important with the value of 3.46%, 3.82%, 3.77%, 3.85% and 3.88%  respectively. Regarding the aspect of efficiency, the value is 4.28% within the category Very Important. Whereas, the implementation of e-learning learning policies using Edward's theory was investigated from four aspects, namely: 1) communication that was conducted through the socialization of e-learning workshops; 2) resources including human/technician resources that were still very lacking as well as infrastructure with the addition of 80 Mbps bandwidth to five faculties, rectorates, libraries and postgraduate programs; 3) dispositions were given to the policy users, namely lecturers who were still less motivated in using e-learning, and 4) bureaucratic structure related to operational standards procedures that was designed in the form of e-learning guidebooks. The result found that e-learning implementation was in the category of important in the aspect of performance, information, economics, control and service, and in the category of very important in the aspect of efficiency. E-learning system at IAIN Kendari is acceptable for all academic civity, however they need personal motivation to implement and utilize it for classroom learning supported by speed internet access.

This study is aimed to reveal the types of grammatical errors made by students in speaking English in the English department of IAIN Takengon. When speaking, students generally did not realize and understand the classification of errors they were making. Thus, it is deemed necessary to identify, classify, and describe the various grammatical errors as an attempt to build their awareness of using structured and standardized English rules. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method. After analyzing the errors proposed by Dulay, the findings showed that the most common error in students’ grammar is misuse or misplacing of verbs, nouns, conjunctions, pronouns, prepositions, and parts of speech. Based on the error category, students' most common error is omission, followed by overgeneralization, over-regulation, and misordering, completed by other errors such as carelessness. Meanwhile, the causes of grammatical errors were the internal factors; anxiety, limited linguistic resources, and motivation deficiency; the external factors were an unsupportive environment and the stressful teaching and learning process.

This research aims to analyze the aspect of Love and Belonging needs. The Hierarchy of Needs theory is used to analyze what everyone needs in their lives and how to meet those needs. The Hierarchy of Needs consists of five levels consisting of basic needs, security needs, the need for love and ownership, the need for self-esteem, and the need for self-satisfaction. As considerations in this study using the theory of the Hierarchy of Needs from Abraham Maslow 1954 who analyzed the need for love and ownership of the main character in the novel Persuasion by Jane Austen 1817. Anne as a figure in the Persuasion novel by Jane Austen 1817 is a girl who is trying to improve the hierarchy of Needs love and the interests of family and girls love. In analyzing this study, researchers used a qualitative descriptive method as a technique for collecting data. The data collected by researchers based on the object of this study are the needs of love and ownership of the main character in the novel Persuasion by Jane Austen 1817. Data collected includes speech, action, sentence, and narration relating to the blindness of love and the main character in the story. Research is made for purposes that are useful for discussion and for other parties, and for this research purposes about humans that will meet the needs and effects of if these needs are not met.

This article will look at how the perception of Javanese Muslims in Yogyakarta on Masjid, keraton, and market. This article employs a qualitative descriptive method with a sociological approach. Participatory observations, in-depth interviews, and literature studies were conducted at Malioboro. The result of the research shows that Javanese Muslims in Yogyakarta perceive the Muttaqin Mosque as a moral-spiritual symbol, the Keraton Yogyakarta as a cultural-political symbol and the Beringharjo market as a socio-economic symbol. In summary, Javanese Muslim perceptions above are constructed by five factors that: Alon-alon waton kelakon, nrimo ing pandum, sepi ing pamrih rame ing gawe banter tan mbancengi dhuwur tan ngungkuli, mangan ora mangan asal ngumpul and tuna satak, bathi sanak.Keywords: Javanese Muslim; Masjid; Keraton; MarketPenelitian ini akan melihat bagaimana persepsi Muslim Jawa di Yogyakarta tentang  masjid, keraton dan pasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan sosiologis. Pengamatan partisipatif, wawancara mendalam dan studi literatur dilakukan di Malioboro. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Muslim Jawa di Yogyakarta mempersepsikan Masjid Muttaqin sebagai simbol moral-spiritual, Keraton Yogyakarta sebagai simbol budaya-politik dan pasar Beringharjo sebagai simbol sosial-ekonomi. Kesimpulannya, persepsi Muslim Jawa di atas dikonstruksi oleh lima faktor yaitu alon-alon waton kelakon, nrimo ing pandum, sepi ing pamrih naik gawe banter tan mbancengi dhuwur tan ngungkuli, mangan ora mangan asal ngumpul dan tuna satak, bathi sanak Kata Kunci: Muslim Jawa; Masjid; Keraton; Pasar

The purpose of this study was to describe the category of illocutionary and reaction to illocutionary interlocutors expressed by the speakers used in the Dead Poets Society movie. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The object of the research is the Dead Poets Society movie script. Based on data analysis, the researcher found 72 utterances illocutionary acts, the dominant ones are Verdictives, namely Estimating and Behabitives, namely Complimenting, while the reaction of the interlocutor to illocutionary acts is dominated by Behabitives illocutionary acts, namely Applauding, and Expositives illocutionary acts, namely Denying. The researcher assumes the tendency of using inspired speech acts by the genre of movie, namely tragedy and drama because this movie features several characters show interest in poetry, and have conflicts between students, parents, and teachers when taught by Mr. Keating is considered to have deviated in principle from  Welton Academy. The results of this study can be used as a reference in studying speech acts in pragmatics because, in this study, the researcher classified the types of illocutionary acts more easily based on Austin's theory.
