This article will look at how the perception of Javanese Muslims in Yogyakarta on Masjid, keraton, and market. This article employs a qualitative descriptive method with a sociological approach. Participatory observations, in-depth interviews, and literature studies were conducted at Malioboro. The result of the research shows that Javanese Muslims in Yogyakarta perceive the Muttaqin Mosque as a moral-spiritual symbol, the Keraton Yogyakarta as a cultural-political symbol and the Beringharjo market as a socio-economic symbol. In summary, Javanese Muslim perceptions above are constructed by five factors that: Alon-alon waton kelakon, nrimo ing pandum, sepi ing pamrih rame ing gawe banter tan mbancengi dhuwur tan ngungkuli, mangan ora mangan asal ngumpul and tuna satak, bathi sanak.Keywords: Javanese Muslim; Masjid; Keraton; MarketPenelitian ini akan melihat bagaimana persepsi Muslim Jawa di Yogyakarta tentang  masjid, keraton dan pasar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan sosiologis. Pengamatan partisipatif, wawancara mendalam dan studi literatur dilakukan di Malioboro. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Muslim Jawa di Yogyakarta mempersepsikan Masjid Muttaqin sebagai simbol moral-spiritual, Keraton Yogyakarta sebagai simbol budaya-politik dan pasar Beringharjo sebagai simbol sosial-ekonomi. Kesimpulannya, persepsi Muslim Jawa di atas dikonstruksi oleh lima faktor yaitu alon-alon waton kelakon, nrimo ing pandum, sepi ing pamrih naik gawe banter tan mbancengi dhuwur tan ngungkuli, mangan ora mangan asal ngumpul dan tuna satak, bathi sanak Kata Kunci: Muslim Jawa; Masjid; Keraton; Pasar

This article discusses the mualaf groups in North Minahasa as a Christian bastion : Islam (37,934)  and Christians  (200,213). Minahasa and Christianity are inseparable from ideology. Islam has inspiring Mualaf life since the beginning of hijrah movement on television. This article employs a qualitative descriptive method with sociological approach. Participatory observations, in-depth interviews and literature studies were conducted at Desa Warisa. The result of research shows that the majority of mualaf groups comes from Minahasan ethnic  (Tonsea) and Sanger. They live as farmers, housewives and laborers. They convert from Christianity to Islam because of marriage system. They got Islamic teachings from Insan Kawanua with Ronald Lambey (Muhammad Hamzah). Mualaf is a form of piety to go to heaven by implementing the shari’a as well as being mubaligh in Minahasa. They are not willing to choose political leaders from Christianity because of the injustice problems. They used Majelis Taklim and social media like facebook and whatsapp in order to have a prime position in identity politics battles in Minahasa.

Tourism is known as a borderless sector or has no separating boundaries. It is important to facilitate accessibility for tourist with disability, so the development of a destination will increase as it can be enjoyed by anyone. The research was conducted using qualitative descriptive method. Data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews. Then the data are analyzed by qualitative descriptive technique include: data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results revealed that the needs of tourists with visual impairment include: guide tiles, tacticle map, signs, showroom lighting, audio availability, Braille text and hands on. The needs of tourist with mobility impairment include: accessibility in parking areas, ramps, doors, toilets, pathways, signs, plenty of seats, enough space in exhibit room, and displays are in suitable height. The sar culture is the pre-existing culture of the Kanum tribe whose implementation is aimed to maintain and preserve nature. Sar culture not only has a positive influence on the environment, but it also represents symbolic violence against women and the Kanum people. This research is aimed to describe sar culture based on the theory of habitus and symbolic violence by Bourdieu. This research involved a qualitative descriptive method, in which the data was obtained from in-depth interviews with Kanum tribal head, Kanum tribe elders, and some village residents involved in sar, observation in Naukenjerai district, and supported by literature review. All collected data were then analyzed descriptively according to the concepts of habitus and symbolic violence by Bourdieu. The research results show that sar culture is a habitus resulting from an interaction between human beings and their nature that has existed for long before. Besides that, there is symbolic violence to the Kanum women and also to the Kaum people, which done by the Kanum men and the leaders of the Kanum tribe as the dominant actors.

This research aimed to discuss the topic of patriarchal research because it still existed in several countries in the world, especially Asia and more specifically, in Indonesia. This research was conducted to reveal how patriarchal values were reflected in Indonesian children’s folk tales from Sumatra Island. This research used a sociological approach to literature and used semiotic theory to analyze the data obtained. The researcher chose to use a qualitative descriptive method so that the analysis process could be described completely. The main data used in this research are several children’s folk tales originating from Sumatra Island, namely Province of North Sumatra (“Di Balik Derita Si Boru Tombaga”, “Bohong Merinang”, and “Si Kodok Kata Malem, Baik Budi Penawan Hati”), South Sumatra (“Langkuse dan Putri Rambut Putih”), and Jambi (“Legenda Bukit Perak”). This research finds that patriarchal values are represented in how women are associated with domestic works, women are considered as the subordinates and inferiors, as well as showing their dependence on men.

The aimed of this study was to analyze the management of Boonpring Ecotourism by Village Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in order to increase income of the village (PADes). This study uses a case study design with a qualitative descriptive method. Qualitative data obtained by conducting in depth interviews, observations and documentation. The informants in this study were the Head of village, the Head of BUMDes, staff and community. Data reduction, data presentation, trianggulation and conclusion are data analysis  used in this study. The results of the study stated that the management of Boonpring Ecotourism had been carried out well by the Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) of Sanan Kerto in accordance with the cooperative, participatory, transparent, accountable, and sustainable principles. Good management of Boonpring Ecotourism is expected to increase Income of village in a sustainable manner by exploring the potential of villages through the tourism sector even though there are obstacles in the application of participatory principles, namely the quality of Human Resources (HR) that need to be trained.Keywords: Management Principles; tourismp; BUMDes; Income of Village. AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengelolaan Ekowisata Boonpring oleh Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes) dalam rangka meningkatkan pendapatan desa (PADes). Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi kasus dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data kualitatif diperoleh dengan melakukan wawancara secara mendalam, observasi dan dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah Kepala Desa, kepala BUMDes, karyawan, dan masyarakat. Reduksi data, penyajian data, trianggulasi dan penarikan kesimpulan merupakan analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menyatakan pengelolaan Ekowisata Boonpring sudah dilakukan dengan baik oleh Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes) Sanan kerto sesuai dengan prinsip kooperatif, partisipatif, emansipatif, transparan, akuntable, dan sustainable. Pengelolaan Ekowisata Boonpring yang baik diharapkan dapat meningkatkan Pendapatan Asli Desa secara berkelanjutan dengan menggali potensi desa melalui sektor pariwisata walaupun ada kendala dalam penerapan prinsip partisipatif yaitu kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) yang perlu dilatih.Kata Kunci: Prinsip Pengelolaan, wisata, BUMDes, PADes.

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility CSR) in the perspective of academic, business, and government (government) cooperation by PT. Telkom, Indonesia Tbk in District Kiaracondong Bandung. The research used qualitative descriptive method. The informants were chosen purposively which included representatives of companies, recipient communities, and local government apparatus. Data collection techniques were conducted through a series of in-depth interviews, field observations and documentary studies. The study found that CSR implementation through the empowerment of women in the process involves elements of academia and local government, so that the implementation shows the success and impact on the benefits felt by the community as reflected in the empowerment index .. Based on the results of the study recommended that the company establish cooperation also with the district level government,

Abstract: This study aims to describe and explain: (1) the struggle forgender equality of female characters in Ratih Kumala's novel KretekGirl, and (2) educational values in Ratih Kumala's novel Kretek Girl.This type of research is qualitative research. This study used descriptivequalitative method. Qualitative descriptive method is a researchprocedure that produces description data in the form of words. Theresearch data is a novel by Kretek Girl by Ratih Kumala.This study usesa feminism approach to describe the profile of female characters, thestruggle for gender equality, and the sociological approach of literatureto find out about the social conditions of the community in RatihKumala's novel Kretek Girl. The data collection technique used in thisstudy was to read the entire contents of the novel and document analysis.The results of this study are as follows: (1) The struggle for genderequality of female leaders in Ratih Kumala's novel Kretek Gadis isagainst forms of gender injustice in the form of (a) stereotypes, (b)marginalization of women, (c) subordination of work, and (d) internalviolence household. (2) Ratih Kumala's novel Kretek Girls educationalvalues include: (a) the value of religious education that emphasizesbetween humans and God, (b) the value of social education refers to therelationship of individuals to other individuals in a society (c) the valueof education morals that relate to the good or bad of human behavior,and (d) the value of cultural / customary education that is related totradition, people's habits.

Humans interacting with their physical and social environments always try to adapt individually or in groups. In the adaptation process, a space dynamic will occur and cause space changes. Adaptation elements include the physical environment, socio-cultural environment, and behavior. Interaction among the adaptation elements will form changes to space configuration. Kotalama is the largest Madurese migrant settlement in Malang and was established in the 1950s. Research on space configuration was conducted to study the adaptation elements in the interaction process of the migrants and their environment. The research used a qualitative, descriptive method and inductive analysis to gain insights on the relationship to dwellings on Madura Island. Data were collected through observations of dwelling space configuration. In addition, in-depth interviews with key informants were held. The results show that the space configuration of dwellings in Kotalama contain elements of adaptation and interaction between the migrants and their environment. These elements relate to Madurese ethnic identity, which are influenced by local topographical factors and limited by the size of the settlement area.

The establishment of a regional marine conservation area in Raja Ampat is a hegemonic practice carried out by the Raja Ampat bureaucracy with conservation NGOs, such as TNC and CI which has reaped various responses. There are people who accept the presence of conservation areas and those who do not. Therefore, this study aims to reveal the resistance and counter-hegemony responses of the Ma'ya tribe in the conservation area to the practice of bureaucratic hegemony in Raja Ampat, West Papua. The research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection by observation, in-depth interviews, FGD and documentation, and the results of the research are presented in a descriptive narrative. The results of the study show that the resistance of the Ma'ya tribe in Raja Ampat to bureaucratic hegemony in the conservation area is through blocking and taking over the monitoring post of the conservation area; prosecution of customary land rights, and reluctance to involve themselves in conservation activities. Counter-hegemony practices are carried out through the formation of customary fishing areas and the struggle for the establishment of regional regulations regarding the rights of indigenous Ma'ya tribes.

This study aims to determine the branding strategy at MTsN Purbalingga Regency and to determine the level of effectiveness of branding management strategies at MTsN Purbalingga Regency in 2018 to 2020. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. This method is used to describe and analyze branding management strategies at MTsN in Purbalingga Regency and describe user responses to branding management strategies at MTsN Purbalingga Regency. The places chosen to conduct the research were MTsN 01 Purbalingga, MTsN 02 Purbalingga, and MTsN 03 Purbalingga. Informants from this research are principals, teachers, staff, and students. Then to select and determine the informants in this study, the researchers used a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques in this research are using content/document analysis techniques, in-depth interviews, and events/observations. The method used to check the validity of the data is the triangulation method. The data analysis technique used in this research is interactive model analysis. The stages in analyzing the data in this study are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that: 1). the branding strategies that have been carried out by MTsN in Purbalingga Regency between one MTsN and other MTsN are the same and some are different, this of course depends on the branding management carried out by each school. MTsN 1 Purbalingga, namely by improving the quality both in terms of achievement and non-academic namely character building, MTs Negeri 2 Purbalingga emphasizes efforts to attract interest in terms of performance and community service, while MTs Negeri 3 Purbalingga in an effort to attract interest by achieving good academic achievements and non-academic and performance services for both teachers and employees; 2). The effectiveness of the branding strategy carried out at MTs Negeri Purbalingga Regency in 2018 to 2020 is quite effective in increasing public trust.
