The research aims to determine the effectiveness of applying the Google Classroom Application on the students' Writing Skills from grade X1 of SMA Swasta Gajah Mada Medan. The research applied the quantitative method with experimental design. The data were analyzed using the mathematics system related to the methods applied in the research. According to the research findings, it is concluded that Applying Google Classroom Application potentially gives more effectiveness in teaching writing skills to the students. After the post-test is done, the mean score of applying Google Classroom Application is 85.65. The standard deviation is 7.353, and the number of students is 26. The mean by applying conventional strategy is  62.00, the standard deviation is 3.943, and the number of students is 24. From the research result, the researchers found that the mean score of the experimental group students was improved by 17.10. In the controlled group, the mean score of the students was improved by 9.75. After the post-test by applying Google Classroom Application to the students is undertaken,  the normality test result is 0.465. After a post-test to the students by applying the conventional teaching method in the controlled group is given, the normality test result is 0.243. The research finding explained that the Google Classroom Application successfully improved the students'  writing skills, especially at SMA Swasta Gajah Mada Medan during the Covid-19 pandemic.

There were several reasons for conducting this study, students’ seriousness in attending writing speech text were still low and not excited. Therefore, the teacher must choose and apply an effective teaching learning model to improve students’ abilities in writing speech text. This study aims to improve students’ abilities in writing speech text through concept sentence model and investigated students’ responses through teaching writing speech text by using concept sentence model. The quasi experiment is the research method of this study. The control and experiment class were given pre-test and post-test to know the students’ abilities before and after treatment. The questionnaire also used to gain the data about students’ responses through teaching writing speech text by using concept sentence model. The research finding shows that the model concept sentence is effective to improve students’ ability in writing speech text . The indicators of the success of by using SPSS 23.0 are that: (1) the mean of pre-test result in the experiment class was 64,18 and  post-test result in the experiment class was 81,28, meanwhile the mean of pre-test result in the control class was 60,57 and  post-test result in the control class was 71,50; (2) the students’ responses through questionnaires found that the application concept sentence model was very positive.

Writing is still considered a difficult skill to master. Problems arise from variousaspects of writing namely grammar, vocabulary, types of text, outline, and soon. Tackling these problems is possible with appropriate teaching method. TheCollaborative Thinking Design Method (CoDeT) was chosen as an effectiveand innovative method to help students improve students’ writing skills as thisencouraes them to be active in the learning process and discuss with classmates.The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was a significantimprovement in the use of CoDeT method in students’ writing skills. Usingthe VII grade students of MTs AT-Tawazun Subang in year 2019/2020 aspopulation, this study used quantitative methods with experimental researchdesign. The average values obtained in the Pre- and post-test were 52.73 and91.92, respectively. This means that Tcount ttable or 4.01 3.06, with theresult that students’ writing skills are enhanced using Collaborative DesignThinking (CoDeT) method instead of the conventional method. This meansthat there is a significant improvement in the inclusion of Collaborative DesignThinking (CoDeT) method on students’ writing skills. It implies that CoDeTmethod can enhance students’ ability to teach writing skills in narrative texts.Through this research, several advantages of using the Collaborative DesignThinking (CoDeT) method in teaching writing skills to seventh grade studentswere revealed, such as 1). encouraging students to be actively involved in thelearning process and 2). facilitating students in understanding teaching materialthrough discussion.

ABSTRACT: The aim of this research is to describe whether there is effect in teaching writing procedure text for 7th grade students of SMP Al-Fattah Buduran Sidoarjo. The instrument to collect the data was test. After collected the data, the researcher analyzed it. The analysis of data were from pre test and post test score of experimental and control class. The result of the research showed that the mean score of experimental class higher than the mean of control class (83 > 69.07) and the t-test result showed the value of t-test is higher than the value of t-table. The value of t-test was 6.163 while the value of t-table on α = 5% was 1.699. It indicated that the hypothesis of this research was accepted. For the next researcher, hope this research can be alternative method for teaching writing procedure text through video.

The present quasi experimental study was conducted to describe how theimplementation of sentence soup game in the teaching writing and to determine the significant difference of the students’ achievement according to their pre-test and posttest result. The sample of study was 70 eighth grade students of SMPN 4 PalimananCirebon. A pre-test and post-test equivalent group design was used to compare the achievement of two groups. The collected data was statistically analyzed by t test formula. The result showed that: 1).The implementation of sentence soup game assessed gave positive effect in teaching writing. It evidenced if students got advantages in this learning with playing activity. 2a).There was no significant difference of the students’ pre-test result. Where null hypothesis was accepted, the tobtained was less than the tcritical (0,980 < 1,667). 2b). There was significant difference of the students’ post-test result. Where null hypothesis was rejected, the tobtained higher than tcritical (2,692 > 1,667). The students’ performance of experimental group was better based on the difference between the mean scores. The mean of experimental group was 5,5 on pre-test and 7,4 on post-test, hence control group was 5,0 on pre-test and 6,7 on post-test. It indicated if teaching English writing through sentence soup game enhanced the achievement level of the students.

                                             AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model latihan modifikasi bola gantung terhadap kemampuan servis atas bola voli putra ekstrakurikuler SMK N 3 Kota Bengkulu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Quasi Eksperimental Design dengan jumlah subjek adalah 20 orang siswa. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan kenaikan nilai standat deviasi dari hasil pre-test sebesar 4,161 terhadap hasil post-test sebesar 6,012. Hasil uji normalitas di dapatkan nilai Asymp. Sig pre-test dan post-test lebih besar dari 0,05 yang berarti hipotesis diterima. Dalam uji homogenitas didapatkan hasil signifitasi hitung sebesar 0,025 lebih besar dari 0,05 yang berarti hipotesis diterima. Hasil uji-t diperoleh nilai t hitung -3,876 lebih kecil dari 0,05, maka hipotesis diterima. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah diperoleh dengan analisis dan pengujian hipotesis maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan sebagai berikut: Terdapat Pengaruh yang signifikan dari model latihan modifikasi bola gantung terhadap kemampuan servis atas putra ekstrakurikuler bila voli siswa SMK N 3 Kota Bengkulu.Kata Kunci: Modifikasi Bola Gantung, Servis Atas, Bola Voli.AbstractThis study aims to determine the effect of the model of hanging ball modification on the service ability of volleyball extracurricular participants SMKN 3 Kota Bengkulu. This research is Quasi Experimental Design research by using One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design with the number of subject is 20 students. the result of this research concludes that there is an increase of standard deviation value from pre-test result 4,161 to post-test result equal to 6,012. Normality test results in getting Asymp value. Sig pre-test and post-test is greater than 0.05 which means the hypothesis is accepted. In homogeneity test, the result of calculation mean 0,025 is greater than 0.05 which means the hypothesis is accepted. The t-test results obtained t value arithmetic -3.876 smaller than 0.05, then the hypothesis accepted. Based on the results of research that has been obtained with the analysis and hypothesis testing it can be drawn conclusion as follows: "There is a significant influence of the model of hanging ball modification on the service ability of extracurricular participants when the student volunteers SMK N 3 Kota Bengkulu".Keywords: Mods.             This final project was based on a research which attempts to investigate the use of wattpad and blog combined with project based learning in teaching writing skills. The purpose of the study was to find out which one is more effective between wattpad and blog in project based learning to teach written analytical exposition text. A quasi-experimental study was used as the research design in this study. The sample was the eleventh grade students of SMA Ibu Kartini Semarang that involved 26 students. They were divided into experimental group 1 and experimental group 2. The experimental group 1 was taught using wattpad while the experimental group 2 was taught using blog as the learning media and both of them used project based learning as teaching method.             The pre-test result revealed the mean score of the experimental group 1 was 60.76 and the experimental group 2 was 60.69. It meant that the two groups had similar competence before getting the treatment. The post-test mean scores of experimental group 1 and experimental group 2 were 80.23 and 74.46. The t-test of post-test showed that there was a significant difference between the experimental group 1 and the experimental group2 since t-value was higher than t-table (4.490 > 2.064).             It could be concluded that both wattpad and blog were effective as the learning media to teach writing skills. However, the use of wattpad was more effective than using blog in project-based learning to teach written analytical exposition text. Therefore, it was suggested that the teachers should consider the social media of wattpad and blog were the effective learning media in teaching writing because they allowed the students to express ideas and develop their writing skills.                Keywords: Wattpad; Blog; Project Based Learning; Writing; Analytical Exposition Text

It is believed that speaking is difficult subject because it is not only learn about pronouncing the words. The writer uses quantitative approach in this research because to know the effect of problem based learning to the students’ speaking ability at the eleventh grade students of XII science class of SMAN 4 Kediri that consists of 25 students. The spoken tests, in the form of pre and post test were used to collect the data. The holistical rating on speaking rubric form was used  to score the students’ speaking ability before and after the treatments of teaching speaking using problem based learning (PBL)The research result severals that students’ skill in speaking is still considered low. The pre-test result indicated that, the totaly score of pre-test is 1306,75 and the mean of pre-test is 52,27. The highest score is 66, 67 and the lowest score of pre-test is 25. It can be concluded that mostly the students had a difficulty in speaking English. Their score is unsatisfying because the English standard score of the school is 70. By being given series of trestments with PBL students’ speaking skill improved. The totaly of post-test is 1544,75 and the mean of post-test is 61,79. The post-test result showed that  the highest score is 75. Unfortunately, the lowest score of pre-test is 30. It can be concluded that there is an increasing score of students’ speaking ability after post-test is conducted. It is clear to be seen from the changing of students’ score. There are many students get better score than before The result of this research shows that t-score is 12, 67 at the degree of freedom 24 which was higher than the value of t-table was 1,711 at the level of significance 5% and value of t-table is 2,492 at the level of significance 1%. It means that t-score was very significant.Suggestion are purposed for English teacher who should give their students stimuli, to analyze the problem and try to find solution to the problem as well. Then, for the other researcher, the researcher hopes that other researchers could improve the content of this study by adding more explanation, example, and references.

Abstract - With the current needs of shaping 21st-century classroom in schools, the use of technology has now become compulsory for teachers to incorporate in the classroom. The exposure to technology is highly necessary for the current generation to prepare them for the future ahead. Digital storytelling is one of the tools available in the market for learning. There is no much research yet found in Malaysia that investigates the usefulness of the digital storytelling in promoting secondary school students’ writing skills. Therefore, this research tries to implement one digital storytelling tool in teaching Writing for English Form 1 and tries to identify the elements of digital storytelling tool that might be able to promote students’ writing skills. This research involved fifteen Form 1 students. The data was collected through four (4) time series tests in a pre-experimental research study. The students’ performance in each treatment were marked according to the Rubrics to Assess Digital Stories and were analysed using Friedman Ranks Test. The finding shows that there is an improvement in students’ performance after four treatments of using the Digital Storytelling tools. For the elements of digital storytelling tool that affected after using the digital storytelling tool, the student respondents always applied six elements: ‘Overall Purpose of the Story’, ‘Dramatic Questions’, ‘Choice of Content’, ‘Pacing of the Narrative’, ‘Quality of the Images’ and ‘Good Grammar and Language Usage’. Furthermore, there is an improvement in student respondents’ post-test marks after four treatments of using Storybird. The study shows a relationship between elements of digital storytelling tool in the four treatments and students’ writing performance in post-test. All of the elements shows a significant relationship with students’ writing performance except for ‘Dramatic Questions’.

This study aims to improve students’ abilities in writing news text through picture and picture model and investigated students’ responses through teaching writing news text by using picture and picture. The experiment is the research method of this study. The control and experiment class were given pre-test and post-test to know the students’ abilities before and after treatment. The questionnaire also used to gain the data about students’ responses through teaching writing news text by using picture and picture. The research finding shows that the picture and picture model is effective to improve students’ ability in writing news text. The indicators of the success are that: (1) the mean of pre-test result in the experiment class was 48.71,  meanwhile the mean of post-test result was 69.03; (2) the students’ responses through questionnaires found that the application picture and picture model was very positive.

<p><em>The objectives of this thesis are to describe whether picture improves students’ writing skill and to describe the classroom situation when picture is used in writing class. The method of the research was classroom action research.   The action research was conducted from January to April 2013 and was carried out in two cycles in 32 students of VIII A in SMPN 1 Jaten. The researcher collected the data using observation and questionnaire. After collecting the data, the researcher analyzed the data using qualitative and quantitative</em><em> technique. </em><em> </em><em>The research findings show that the using of picture could improve the students’ writing. It can be seen from the mean scores improvement of pre test, post test cycle 1 ,and post test cycle 2, were 51.62 for the pre-test, 68.00 for the post-test in cycle 1 and 78.31 for the post-test in cycle 2. The using of picture in teaching writing also could improve classroom situation in writing class.</em></p>
