It is believed that speaking is difficult subject because it is not only learn about pronouncing the words. The writer uses quantitative approach in this research because to know the effect of problem based learning to the students’ speaking ability at the eleventh grade students of XII science class of SMAN 4 Kediri that consists of 25 students. The spoken tests, in the form of pre and post test were used to collect the data. The holistical rating on speaking rubric form was used  to score the students’ speaking ability before and after the treatments of teaching speaking using problem based learning (PBL)The research result severals that students’ skill in speaking is still considered low. The pre-test result indicated that, the totaly score of pre-test is 1306,75 and the mean of pre-test is 52,27. The highest score is 66, 67 and the lowest score of pre-test is 25. It can be concluded that mostly the students had a difficulty in speaking English. Their score is unsatisfying because the English standard score of the school is 70. By being given series of trestments with PBL students’ speaking skill improved. The totaly of post-test is 1544,75 and the mean of post-test is 61,79. The post-test result showed that  the highest score is 75. Unfortunately, the lowest score of pre-test is 30. It can be concluded that there is an increasing score of students’ speaking ability after post-test is conducted. It is clear to be seen from the changing of students’ score. There are many students get better score than before The result of this research shows that t-score is 12, 67 at the degree of freedom 24 which was higher than the value of t-table was 1,711 at the level of significance 5% and value of t-table is 2,492 at the level of significance 1%. It means that t-score was very significant.Suggestion are purposed for English teacher who should give their students stimuli, to analyze the problem and try to find solution to the problem as well. Then, for the other researcher, the researcher hopes that other researchers could improve the content of this study by adding more explanation, example, and references.

The problems of this research were to know the students’ speaking ability before and after they taught by use bamboo dancing technique. This experimental research was conducted at the XI IPS 3, consists of 28 students, eleventh grade at SMAN 1 GondangNganjuk in academic year 2014/2015. The research data were collected using pre test and post test. The research results showed that the students’ score of pre test is 1576. The mean of students score of pre test is 56.28 and the students’ speaking ability after taught by using bamboo dancing technique is better more than before taught. Because the students’ score in post test is 2292 and the mean of students’ score in post test is 81.85. It can be said that the students’ score is increasing after they are taught by using bamboo dancing technique in teaching speaking. The t-score computation showed that the t-score is 19.196 at degree of freedom 27 and t-table is 2,771 at the level of significance 1% and 2,052 at the level of significance 5%. It means that t-score (19,196) > t-table at the level of significance 1% (2,771) and t-score (19,196) < t-table at the level of significant 5% (2,052). So the t-score is higher than t-table in significance 1% and 5%. Therefore, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and null hypothesis is rejected. It can be concluded that teaching speaking using bamboo dancing technique has significant effect to the student’s speaking ability

The objectives of this research is to find out the effectiveness of retelling short story toward students’ accuracy in speaking skill. This research employed pre-experimental method which entails pre-test, treatment, and post-test. Speaking test was used in collecting the data. A total of 39 students of MTsN Makassar as the subject of this research.. The data on the students’ speaking skill were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results demonstrated that there was a differentiation between the students’accuracy in speaking skill before and after being thought through retelling short story. The null hypotesis (H0) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (HI) was accepted because the t-test value was 5,42 which was higher than t-table value 2,024.. The mean score of the students before teaching retelling short story was 2,95 classified as poor score. After teaching retelling short story the mean score was 3,38 classified as a good score. Based on result of data analysis above, the researcher drew conclusion that retelling short story could effective toward students’ accuracy in speaking skill.

The qualitative data were analyzed by reducing the data, displaying the data, drawing conclusion and verification. The outcome of the quantitative data is the main score of the test . The validity of the research data was, effect, progression, catalytic, and dialogic validity. The reliability of the research data used three step of triangulation, the first is time triangulation, the second is investigator triangulation, and the last theoretical triangulation, finally we have to used inter-rater reliability. The the pre-test result that the mean score of the grammar in the students’ performance was only 2.0. The vocabulary mean score was 2.5, the perception mean score is 2.7, the fluency mean score was 2.2, and the pronunciation’s mean score was  2.3. Meanwhile, the mean score of the grammar in the students’ performance in the post-test was 3.0. Then, the vocabularies mean score is 3.5, the perception mean score is 3.2. the fluency mean score is 3,0, and the pronunciations mean score is 3.0. Therefore, it is very clear that there were significant improvements on the students’ speaking skill through the use of role play. Therefore, it was very clear that there were significant improvements on the students’ speaking skill through the use of role play. Keywords: improvements, role plays, speaking skill

There were many students that had problem in their speaking ability. Based on the problem, this research aims to: (1)Find out the result of students’ learning speaking by using scraps-made realia; (2) Find out the result of students’learning speaking without using scraps-made realia; (3) Define the students’ achievement in learning speaking byusing scraps-made realia. This research involved class 1A and class 1B of SD 1 Pedes which have 44 students for eachclass. The researcher used pre-test and post-test to analyze the students’ achievement in speaking skill. It was foundthat the mean of pre-test was 50 while the mean of post-test was 77,27. The obtained data of the t-test result was27,447. It means that t-test was higher than t-table (27,447 > 2,018). It means that the post-test was higher than pretest. In conclusion, the finding of this research showed that teaching speaking by using scraps-made realia waseffective to teach speaking skill. Hence, the researcher suggested to use scraps-made realia as alternative media inteaching speaking.

The population are all of students of SMP N I Muara Tiga that consist of 208 students. The writer took two classes as the sample. There were class IIa as an Experimental class and class IIb as a Control class which each of class consists of 18 students and total sample of the students were 36. To obtain the data, the writer gave pre-test and post-test as the instrument. The result showed that the significant different between the students’ score in experimental class and control class. It could be seen from the result of mean of different for each of class in which the mean of difference score in experimental class was 26,38 while the mean of difference score in control class was 11,38. It showed the mean of difference score in experimental class was higher than the control class (26,38 > 11,38). It also could be seen from the result of the t-test score. The result of t-test score in the experimental class was 11,63 while the result of t-test score in control class was 3,44. It showed the t-test score on the experimental class was higher than control class (11,63 > 3,44). Meanwhile, the result of t-table with the level of significance with Df (ɑ) 5% (0,05) was 2,03. It indicated that the t-test score (to) of both of the experimental class and control class was higher than t-table (tt). there are : (11,63 > 2,09) and (3,44 > 2,09). This study focuses on the use of an online learning research project focused on students' speaking skills. It is an innovative and practical approach that can develop students to solve a problem by thinking critically. This study aimed to determine the effect of using inquiry project-based learning on students' speaking skills. The research was conducted at MTs Mambaus Sholihin Gresik in class VII Q. To determine whether inquiry-project based online learning is effective or not, researchers used a pre-experimental method, where the statistical formula of the t-test calculates information. The research result is that the pre-test's mean was 83.9189, and the norm of the post-test was 88.5135. The results showed that inquiry-project based online learning projects had a positive effect on students' speaking achievement. It means that there is a large effect, with a substantial difference in student scores before and after treatment. Thus it can be concluded that inquiry-project-based online learning is recommended to promote students' speaking skills.
