<p>The COVID-19 pandemic condition requires private radio managers’ creativity, one of which is the Sritanjung FM in the Banyuwangi Regency. Uniquely, as a cultural radio, Sritanjung FM advertising revenue increased precisely during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research uses a virtual ethnographic method that collects data offline and online. Researchers conducted direct observations of Sritanjung FM in Rogojampi District, Banyuwangi Regency, and conducted a virtual search through audio streaming, Facebook, and WhatsApp. In this study, informants amounted to four people, two from radio staff, one cultural expert, and one loyal listener. The results showed that the number of local advertisers and the frequency of local advertisements had increased three times. The internal causes include the creativity of Sritanjung FM in creating cultural programs and religious programs, creativity in the designing messages for ads spots, and uniqueness of using local language that match the COVID-19 theme. Local culture advertising creativity can be felt as the main taste of content that has relevance to postmodernism studies. External causes include the need for a business breakthrough to maintain income, the socio-cultural context of Osing ethnicity for the Banyuwangi people. Combined interest between local advertisers, strong Osing culture identity, and advertisers' creativity make Sritanjung FM experience a surge in revenue from local advertisers during the COVID-19 pandemic.</p>

AbstrakFolklor yang menghasilkan tradisi lisan merupakan perwujudan budaya yang lahirdari pengalaman kelompok masyarakat. Salah satu bentuk tradisi lisan adalah ungkapan yangmengandung unsur budaya lokal dalam konstruksinya yang tidak dimiliki budaya lainnya.Ungkapan idiomatis memberikan warna pada bahasa melalui penggambaran mental. Dalambahasa Perancis, ungkapan dapat berupa locution dan expression. Perbedaan motif acuansuatu ungkapan dapat terlihat dari pengaruh budaya masyarakat pengguna bahasa. Sebuahleksem tidak selalu didefinisikan melalui unsur minimal, tidak juga melalui kata-kata,baik kata dasar atau kata kompleks, namun dapat melalui kata-kata beku yang maknanyatetap. Hubungan analogis dari makna tambahan yang ada pada suatu leksem muncul dariidentifikasi semem yang sama. Semem tersebut mengarah pada term yang diasosiasikan danyang diperkaya melalui konteks (dalam ungkapan berhubungan dengan konteks budaya).Kata kunci: folklor, ungkapan, struktur, makna idiomatis, kebudayaanAbstractFolklore which produces the oral tradition is a cultural manifestation born out theexperience of community groups. One form of the oral tradition is a phrase that containsthe elements of local culture in its construction that is not owned the other culture. Theidiomatic phrase gives the color to the language through the mental representation. InFrench, the expression can consist of locution and expression. The difference motivesreference of an expression can be seen from the influence of the cultural community thelanguage users. A lexeme is not always defined through a minimal element, nor throughwords, either basic or complex words, but can be through the frost words whose meaningsare fixed. The analogical connection of the additional meanings is on a lexeme arises fromthe identification of the same meaning. Assisted reproductive technology (ART) is hailed as “the holy grail” for infertile patients in the mainstream narrative. The existing studies have clearly demonstrated how external social factors shape how ART is to be used, but they ignore the recipients of the technologies, and especially the experiences of women. Based on an investigation conducted in Z hospital’s reproductive center, this article regards embodiment as the methodological orientation for integrating socio-cultural context with female embodied experience in order to show their bio-social entanglement. As fieldwork evidence indicates, ART in practice is far from simple “hope technology”; instead, it throws women into a paradoxical world in which hope and anxiety coexist. Embodied experience, hope, and anxiety are transmitted through the bodies of women, which reveals the inscription of social-cultural context and technical uncertainty on the female body and, meanwhile, women actively learn strategies by which to cope with the technical uncertainty and moral pressures from local culture (including healing the body, folk religion, etc.), so as to hold onto infertility treatment with hope.

Abstract Buton was a maritim sultanate in Southeast Sulawesi. It had a strategic location because it was a centre of transit and trade in Nusantara and Asia. This situation caused cultural contact and arose new Butonese culture. A kind of cultural product is literate tradition using such as Jawi script (Arabic-Malay) that appeared from interaction of local culture, the Butonese, with islam. In history of Buton many kitab was writen in Jawi script including Kitab Sarana Walio. Taking descriptive-qualitative method, the writer analyze Jawi script that was used in Sarana Walio text. This analyze was related with cultural context that underlied the appearance of this script. This research has found the system of writing with Jawi script in this manuscript. Based on ortographic system, Jawi script in Sarana Walio is not different from ortography of Arabic-Malay system in Nusantara. Graphem consist of consonant and vocal which is symbolized by huruf saksi, not punctuation. Meanwhile, there’s inconsistence in the case of word writing in manuscript. ---Abstrak Buton merupakan kesultanan maritim di Sulawesi Tenggara yang memiliki letak strategis karena menjadi pusat persinggahan dan perdagangan Nusantara dan Asia. Hal ini tentu saja menyebabkan terjadinya kontak budaya yang memunculkan bentuk-bentuk kebudayaan baru di masyarakat Buton. Salah satunya adalah tradisi tulis aksara Jawi (Arab-Melayu) yang lahir dari interaksi budaya lokal masyarakat Buton dengan Islam. Banyak kitab dalam sejarah Buton yang ditulis dalam aksara Jawi, di antaranya Kitab Sarana Walio. Dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif-kualitatif, penulis mengkaji aksara Jawi dalam teks Sarana Walio, dihubungkan dengan konteks budaya yang melatari munculnya aksara tersebut. Penelitian telah menemukan adanya sistem penulisan aksara Jawi dalam naskah tersebut. Ditinjau dari ortografinya, aksara Jawi dalam Sarana Walio tidak berbeda dengan sistem ejaan Arab-Melayu pada umumnya di Nusantara. Grafem terdiri atas grafem konsonan dan grafem vokal yang dilambangkan dengan huruf saksi, tidak dengan tanda baca. Status updates are one of the most popular features of Facebook, but few local studies have explored the traits and motives that influence the topics that people choose to update about. As many Persib supporters, otoriously called bobotoh, socialize and spend a great deal of time in technology-mediated environments such as fan communities and social networking sites, they develop an online identity as bilingual and knowlegeable Facebook admins and readers. The article explores the notion of identity as a fluid construct that shifts over time with these bobotoh’s longterm participation in a Facebook fan page named Bobotoh ID. It demonstrates how Sundanese (local language for the people in West Java), bobotoh-ship (a distinct identity) –as points of affiliation– and technology converge to provide a context in which these bobotoh are able to develop a powerful local culture identity circulated through a technologically mediated milieu.AbstrakMeskipun pemutakhiran pampangan (status) adalah salah satu fitur terpopular facebook, kajian-kajian lokal yang mendalami sifat dan motif yang memengaruhi pilihan topik status masih belum banyak dilakukan. Dengan banyaknya jumlah pendukung Persib yang dikenal dengan nama bobotoh yang bermasyarakat dan menghabiskan banyak waktu mereka dalam jejaring teknologi, seperti komunitaskomunitas pendukung dan situs jejaring sosial, mereka mengembangkan identitas maya mereka sebagai admin atau pembaca yang berpengetahuan luas dan bilingual. Artikel ini mengeksplorasi makna identitas sebagai konstruksi cair yang bergeserbersama waktu seiring dengan partisipasi jangka panjang bobotoh dalam komunitas penggemar Persib di facebook bernama Bobotoh ID. Artikel ini juga menunjukkan bagaimana bahasa Sunda (sebagai bahasa daerah masyarakat Jawa Barat), kebobotohan (sebagai identitas yang berbeda)–yang berfungsi sebagai titik-titik afiliasi–dan teknologi bertemu dan memberikan konteks sehingga bobotoh mampu mengembangkan identitas budaya lokal yang kuat di lingkungan yang dimediasi teknologi.

Management and Organization Review (MOR) is announcing a renewed initiative that seeks to attract and publish research embodying engaged indigenous scholarship in the context of transforming economies. Tsui (2004: 501) defines ‘indigenous research’ as ‘scientific studies of local phenomena using local language, local subjects, and locally meaningful constructs, with the aim to test or build theories that can explain and predict . . . phenomena in the local social cultural context’. By scientific studies, she emphasizes the need for high-quality indigenous research as judged by the scientific community.

Private radio, which relies on programs with local cultural content in local languages, affects the success of reaching large audiences and financial benefits. In East Java, four private radios have the advantage of local cultural programs, namely Radio Jodhipati FM in Nganjuk, Radio Sritanjung FM in Banyuwangi, Radio Nada FM Sumenep, and Radio Media FM in Surabaya. This study aims to determine what cultural programs can increase the number of listeners and profitability on the four cultural radios. Furthermore, to find out why listeners like local cultural programs of each radio. This research on broadcast content on four cultural radios uses virtual ethnographic methods by collecting data, both offline and online. Researchers are involved in broadcasting activities on four cultural radios (offline) and listener interaction activities in the virtual world (online), namely Facebook and WhatsApp. This study conducted interviews with twelve informants representing radio management, local cultural figures, and loyal listeners. The results showed that each radio has excellent cultural programs with a solid appeal to maintain listener loyalty. The four cultural radios involve cultural experts in designing cultural programs. Listeners try to maintain local tastes because they realize that love for local culture is a strengthening of national identity, which is the richness of Indonesian culture.

In 2045, Indonesia is determined to have a golden generation in order to improve the nation's competitiveness. However, in reality the condition of teenagers today is very alarming. The data show about 93 out of 100 elementary school students have already consumed pornography; about 21 out of 100 young women have abortions; some 135 teenagers become victims of violence every day; 5 out of 100 adolescents contract sexually transmitted diseases; 63 out of 100 teens have sex before marriage. School teachers should take active roles in minimizing such unhappy figure and prepare the golden generation. This article proposes local culture and local moral to complete the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPCK+) within the challenge of the 21st century skills. The objectives are to provide pre-service English Teachers at Universitas PGRI Semarang and pre-service English teachers in general with the ability to develop English course content in the students’ cultural context as well as local characters and to equip the pre-service teachers with the 21st century skills. The subjects were 345 pre-service English Teachers who took the TEFL, Teaching Media, and ESP Courses during the academic year of 2015/2016 and 2016/2017. The data were collected through observation, teaching practice, and self-evaluation. The results show 84.92% of the students were included under the category of “good” and “very good” in pedagogical skills, 77.38 % in pedagogical content knowledge, and 87.53 % in cultural and local wisdom context in content development, but only 51.58% in technological knowledge. For improving technological knowledge of the pre-service students, there should be more training on the use of technology before and during the process of teaching and learning of pre-service English teachers.

Research on children’s understanding of emotion has rarely focused on children from nonindustrialised countries, who may develop an understanding at different ages as compared to children reared in industrialised countries. Quechua children from an agro-pastoralist village were given an adapted version of the Test of Emotion Comprehension (TEC) to assess their understanding of nine aspects of emotions. Older children performed better on the entire TEC than younger children. Eight- to 11-year-olds were more accurate in identifying emotions connected to individual desires and to a moral misdemeanour than were 4- to 7-year-olds. In addition, there was a trend for 8- to 11-year-olds to understand external causes of emotions better than 4- to 7-year-olds. Compared to British children, the Quechua children were less accurate overall. However, similar to the British children, certain aspects of emotion (e.g., recognition) were understood at younger ages than others (e.g., regulation), suggesting similar patterns in the sequence of emotional understanding despite the radical difference in cultural context. In contrast to children from industrialised settings, children from this Quechua village have little access to formal education. Moreover, Quechua children have fewer opportunities to engage in discussions about emotions with adults, which may also contribute to how well they performed on the TEC. Suggestions for improving the TEC and including a more naturalistic testing situation are made.

In the construction of characteristic towns, “rural, homesickness, context, inheritance, and development” has been mentioned by people. How to pay attention to ecological nature, focus on local culture, and inherit the cultural context is the key to today’s landscape space design. Taking Longquan city as the research object, through combing and refining the local culture elements, this paper designs a scheme through the concept of “Rongqing” characteristic town landscape, and explores the way to arouse homesickness with the help of design symbols and the integration of tradition and modernity to realize the recurrence of local culture.

Introduction. Discipline is a form of behaviour reflecting responsibility in a person and is essential to be applied to students. However, in reality, many students commit disciplinary violations at school. Therefore, social care teachers must provide innovative services to eliminate disciplinary violations. One such example is the narrative storytelling model presented in the form of healing stories, which can be applied to develop knowledge, feeling, social skills, and appreciation. Storytelling can play a very helpful role in counselling because stories reflect cultural laws, ethics, as well as in governing daily rules behaviour and guide decision-making.Aim. The current research is aimed to demonstrate group healing storytelling model in multicultural counselling services in schools for disciplinary case management.Methodology and research methods. This research methodology is based on the ADDIE (Analysis Design Development Implementation Evaluations) model. The participants of this study were 60 students at Muhammadiyah Palangkaraya Senior High School (Palangkaraya, Indonesia). The research instruments for the verification of group healing storytelling model in multicultural counselling services involved front group discussion (FGD), questionnaires, and Likert scale to examine student discipline data.Results and scientific novelty. The present research provides group healing storytelling model based in multicultural counselling services by applying aspects of local culture in Indonesia, namely ‘Huma Betang' (local culture in central Kalimantan, Indonesia). The authors developed a narrative storytelling model consisting of objectives and intervention stages. The strengths and weaknesses of this model were analysed. Based on the data analysis, this model can be used to improve disciplinary behaviour. The results of statistical analysis show that disciplinary behaviour has increased after the provision of healing storytelling services.Practical significance. Based on the research results, the authors recommend this model for disciplinary case handlers. This model is also effective to integrate the components of socio-cultural context in curriculum planning. The present model is easily to accept because it has the uniformity with the culture of counsellee. However, it is limited to a cultural context, so it will be complicated to implement it in a different cultural environment.
