The introduction of various information technologies into the learning process remains relevant. Higher schools are developing new forms and methods of teaching, focused on the use of computer Internet technologies. In the context of informatization of the education sector, the introduction of blended learning, as one of the varieties of e-learning, is best suited to the task of forming the cultural and professional competences of the future engineer. Blended learning technology has significant didactic capabilities and is characterized by a variety of forms, methods and learning tools provided, their interactivity, different ways of interaction between the subjects of the educational process and most fully meets the specifics of the university. The features of the use of distance learning technologies for students of the day department of engineering and technical specialties are considered in the article, the use of the basic elements of the e-course is described. Elements of electronic courses introduced in the educational process are presented, one form of blended learning is described. Within the course of higher mathematics, which is taught at Sumy State University, an information and practical block was formed. The information block is presented by electronic lecture notes with a built-in dictionary, video lectures and presentations. Information from the theoretical unit of the discipline is available to the student at any time when accessing through the student's personal office. Practical block of study of mathematical discipline includes tasks for individual work, simulators, tests. The article describes the peculiarities of implementation of these elements in the educational process. It is noted that the mixed approach to learning gives more interactivity and stimulates active learning, motivates students to educational and cognitive activity, allows to develop skills of independent learning, promotes the development of creative thinking and search for non-standard solutions. The introduction of electronic control elements of training (tests, tasks for joint performance, etc.) allows the teacher to get rid of the routine work of checking the intermediate learning result. Electronic systems allow you to do this quickly, efficiently, impartially. Conclusions have been made regarding the effectiveness of introducing blended learning into the learning process.

The present article considers the results of implementing the distance learning technologies at Vinnytsia National Pirogov Memorial Medical University in the process of mastering the discipline "Internal Medicine". Today, the amount of information that is so necessary for obtaining, understanding and mastering knowledge is growing rapidly. Given the current pace of development of education, today it is quite important to find innovative forms of quality organization of the educational process. This led to the introduction of information technology in education and the formation of a separate type of learning - distance learning. Now in Ukraine, distance learning is widely developing at all levels of education, this makes it possible to individualize the process of acquiring knowledge, abilities, skills and methods of human cognitive activity, which occurs mainly through the indirect interaction of participants in the educational process distant from each other in a specialized environment, functioning based on modern information and communication technologies.

The formation of students’ geographical competence against the background of clarification and deepening of general geographical knowledge, skills and abilities, the formation of their own system of scientific judgments and values occurs during the study of geography. Students study a variety of geographical phenomena, processes, and patterns allowing understanding their dynamics and creating conditions for critical and sound analysis and comparison. Distance learning technologies include an individualized process of transfer and acquisition of knowledge, skills, abilities and methods for cognitive activity of students. Such techniques can be seen as a natural stage in the evolution of the traditional education system from chalk board to electronic board and computer technology. They provide the opportunity to conduct distance learning via the Internet; diversify the means of communication between student and teacher (e-mail, chat, forum, file sharing, etc.); activate the role of the teacher and exercise full control over the learning process; apply a multilevel testing system; Distance learning opens access to better; higher quality education for all participants in the learning process, but learning with the help of the Internet technologies is not sufficiently researched. This especially applies to the methodological development of educational support for e-learning courses, the operation of platforms for distance learning, the availability of professional staff, command of information technology for all participants in the educational process and more. The study compares the results of the formation of geographical knowledge in students in the control and experimental groups. The pedagogical conditions are substantiated and the main structural components of the organization of the process of formation of geographical knowledge in the institution of general secondary education are determined. Criteria and levels of formation of geographical knowledge of students in the learning process are determined. The effectiveness of the proposed teaching method in the implementation of distance education technologies using modern interactive platforms has been experimentally tested. The level of formation of cognitive interest of students in the process of studying the school course of geography in the 10th grade is determined. The analysis of results of control testing of pupils is made

Distance learning is the process of acquiring knowledge, abilities, skills and methods of human cognitive activity, it occurs mainly through the indirect interaction of participants in the educational process distant from each other in a specialized environment, it functions on the basis of modern psychological, pedagogical and information and communication technologies. In today’s world, distance learning is a must. This was shown by the existing COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of our work was to present teaching methods at the Department of Orthodontics of the Ukrainian Medical Dental Academy and to determine the advantages and disadvantages of distance education. To present theoretical and practically oriented content, organize independent work and control knowledge during quarantine, the possibilities of distance learning were used using the Google Classroom web service and using the ZOOM platform, Google-meet, which made it possible to use video, photographic materials, tables, control and diagnostic models, panoramic and other images, orthodontic appliances, orthodontic instruments. Distance learning technology is flexible than traditional. This is its advantage. It is aimed at those who study, creates a comfortable environment for the applicant for higher education to master the material 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Distance learning allows you to move away from the traditional system of teaching educational material. However, this teaching methodology requires a high level of teacher training. The teacher must have modern pedagogical and information technologies and be psychologically ready to work with applicants for education in a new educational and cognitive environment. The distance form of education must correspond to the methods of teaching in higher medical school. So, the material and technical clinical base of the Department of Orthodontics of the UMCA allows you to provide high-quality online training. But the spread of COVID-19 leads to day-to-day changes in all spheres of life, including healthcare, and the education system.

The use of modern information technologies, including distance learning, significantly strengthened the traditional approaches to the educational process in higher education institutions. On the one hand, the reason for this is the rapid development of information and communication technologies, and as a consequence, appearance of new modern pedagogical approaches to conducting lectures, practical and laboratory trainings. On the other hand, students also have changed. Under present conditions, they have a number of personal qualities that were not inherent to pupils and students of previous years. The article argues the use of distance learning technologies and the possibilities of modern specialists trained in educational measurements in the field of distance learning.

Modern theories of foreign language teaching are getting developed. The constant society digitalization influences it. Generation Z students closely associate their lives with technology. Moreover, teachers must find ways to apply effectively information and communication technologies in the learning process. In our opinion, one of the ways is the concept of blended learning. It implies the optimal combination of traditional pedagogical technologies and distance, online learning. The purpose of our research is to examine the effectiveness of the concept of blended learning in the process of learning a foreign language for students of non-philological majors. For this purpose, we conducted a pedagogical experiment. It assumes the introduction of the concept of blended learning in the educational process of higher education. The research was carried out with Ukrainian students of non-philological majors during the study of English (offline and online). Also, international students who are studying Ukrainian as a foreign language were involved. Comparative analysis of students' readiness to learn using different blended learning tools was used. Methods of mathematical statistics (nonparametric Kruskal-Wallis and Mann-Whitney criteria) were utilized to analyse and process the experimental data. The results of the study indicate the effectiveness of blended learning technology usage in the process of foreign language teaching. Nevertheless, they show that the proposed tools help students better master a foreign language. Besides, students are both in active learning and passively reinforcing their knowledge using digital technologies during education. The authors consider it indisputable that blended learning tools should be used to some extent for students of all majors. The authors understand that the proposed tools are not exhaustive and definitive. Their list should be extended, and the use of specific tools depends on the teacher, students, the course, and other factors.

The article reviews the scientific literature on the quality of distance learning. The forced temporary transfer of the educational process to a distance form is considered as an unplanned event to assess the quality of education, which allows us to assess the effectiveness of the management system in education for all participants in educational relations, as well as to determine the directions of modernization and development of the education system as a whole. The use of digital technologies in the educational process helps the teacher to more fully build interaction with students, improve their methodological and organizational skills and competencies, use visual formats for presenting various information, which, in turn, contributes to the development of cognitive activity of schoolchildren and students. Educational interaction in the framework of distance learning has a special specificity and special qualities that place increased demands on the professional competence and pedagogical qualifications of teachers, as well as on the personal and professional competencies of all subjects of the distance educational process. Distance learning now allows interaction between the trainers and trainees, but not fully appropriate to ensure the achievement of learning objectives, learning content of the subject and control assessment of knowledge, skills, competencies. Distance learning technologies should complement (and this is their significant functionality and potential), and not replace the already established traditional face-to-face forms of educational interaction, models and methods of teaching.
