Background: Breast milk is the main source of nutrition for babies from birth until they are able to digest other nutritional sources after 6 months of age. Failure in the breastfeeding process is often caused by maternal factors, namely breastfeeding. Actions to facilitate milk production include the oxytocin massage method. Objective: The aim of the study was to analyze the effect of oxytocin massage compared to counseling on breastfeeding techniques using leaflets on the milk production of primiparous postpartum mothers. Methods: The study used a quasi-experimental study with a pretest-posttest design. The sample selection was accidental sampling with inclusion and exclusion criteria, which consisted of 30 postpartum mothers who were divided into 2 groups, 15 respondents were given oxytocin massage and 15 respondents were given leaflets. The data analysis method was univariate and bivariate using Paired T-test and Independent T-test.Results: The results showed that the oxytocin massage treatment had a p-value= 0.000 (p < 0.05) meaning that there was a difference between before and after treatment. The control group had a p-value= 0.432 (p > 0.05) meaning that there was no difference between before and after treatment. There was a significant difference between the treatment group compared to the control group. Conclusion: Oxytocin massage has a significant effect in increasing milk production in primiparous postpartum mothers. Oxytocin massage is more effective than counseling using leaflet media to increase breast milk production.

Breast milk is God's excellent creation fluid to fulfill the baby's nutritional needs. Every baby must get breastmilk to support the nutritional needs, this should be supported by the continuity production of breastmilk. Based on preliminary studies, there were many mothers whose their breastmilk production did not work properly. The purpose of this study is to know the effect marmet technique to the breasmilk production. This study used pre experimental design with One group Pretest posttest approach. The independent variable was the marmet technique and the dependent variable was the continuity of breastmilk production. The population was 14 postpartum mothers whose breastmilk production was less and the samples were 14 respondents using non-probability sampling technique with accidental sampling technique. Study instruments included questionnaires and observation sheets were analyzed by using the Wilcoxon statistical test The result of this research is 14 respondents (100%) breastmilk production is not smooth before being given treatment. After given treatment all respondents as many as 14 people (100%) breastmilk production became smooth. The Wilcoxon statistical test results obtained value of P value: 0.001 which means P value <α = 0.05 so H0 was rejected. So it can conclude that there is effect of the Marmet technique on the continuity of breastmilk production. It is expected to the health workers, especially midwives, can teach Marmet techniques to the postpartum mothers who have problems in milk production, so that the milk is smooth. It is expected that health workers, especially midwives, can teach marmet techniques to postpartum mothers who have problems in milk production, so that the milk is smooth.

The design was post test only with control group. The population in this study was postpartum women who gave birth in September and October 2016. The sampling technique used was total sampling. Results: The results of this study showed that there were effects from the consumption of moringa leaves noodles for breast milk production of postpartum women, showed by the p value of 0.034 and there was no effect from the consumption of yellow sweet potato noodles for the uterine involution, showed by the p value of 0.767.Conclusion: The suggestions for professional organizations were to cooperate with the relevant authorities (Health Offices) in disseminating the results of this evidence-based research to help increasing breast milk production by using local food, and also to cooperate in cross-programs and cross-sectors in order to incorporate the use of local food based on the evidence as a procedure in providing health education for postpartum women

Kata Kunci : Kecukupan ASI, Daun Ubi jalar, Menyusui   ABSTRACTBreast milk is a food source that contains a complete nutritions for infants. The collecting of data is done by using a questionnaires and assessment. The test hypothesis is marked on the Wilcoxon rank test with significance value α = 0.05. The result of statistical test Wilcoxon Sign Rank obtained p value = 0.000 with a standard error (α = 0.05) can be said p ≤ α then it means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This means that there is an effect of giving sweet potato extract to breast milk adequacy on breastfeeding mothers in work area clinic of Campurejo Kediri City in 2016.
